Natural resource management in Paccellekang Village, which includes rice paddies, plantations, and teak trees, remains suboptimal despite its significant potential, particularly the abundant wood waste. This wood waste largely originates from agricultural activities, plantations, and small-scale wood processing. Currently, this waste is often simply burned or dumped, potentially polluting the environment and causing air pollution. However, if managed properly, wood waste can be transformed into high-value products that can provide financial benefits to the community. This community service activity aims to empower farmer groups through training in processing wood waste into marketable products such as charcoal, liquid smoke, and wood flour. These products not only have economic value but are also useful in various sectors, for example, liquid smoke as a natural preservative, charcoal as an environmentally friendly fuel, and wood flour as an industrial raw material. The program implementation method uses a structured approach that includes initial observations to identify potential partners and needs, outreach to provide a comprehensive understanding of the program's objectives, and training in wood waste processing technology. Furthermore, intensive mentoring and evaluation of implementation results are provided to ensure program sustainability. The results demonstrated that the farmer group members understood the concept of productive wood waste management and demonstrated high enthusiasm for developing innovative products. This program successfully improved the community's skills in utilizing local resources while reducing the negative impact of waste on the environment. Thus, this activity contributed to increasing community income and supporting sustainable economic development in Paccellekang Village.

The development of information and communication technology (ICT), particularly the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and big data, has transformed Indonesia's national security threat landscape. Threats that previously focused on traditional military aspects have now shifted to non-traditional cyber threats, such as cyberattacks, digital espionage, and infrastructure sabotage. According to PROXSIS IT GRC data, in 2024, more than 19 million cyberattacks were recorded against websites in Indonesia. While this figure is a decrease compared to the previous year, this trend is thought to reflect a shift towards more structured and organized tactics by threat actors. In response, the Indonesian government established the National Cybersecurity Action Plan 2024–2028 as a strategic guideline. Furthermore, cyber diplomacy is being promoted through bilateral and multilateral cooperation, for example through the signing of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the UK and Kaspersky. This cooperation includes the exchange of intelligence information, strengthening human resource capacity, raising public awareness regarding cybersecurity, and protecting critical information infrastructure. This study uses non-traditional security theory and defense diplomacy to analyze the strategies, challenges, and prospects of Indonesia's cyber policy. The analysis demonstrates that cyber defense diplomacy plays a crucial role as an instrument for integrating technology, regulation, and international collaboration in safeguarding digital sovereignty. In addition to strengthening threat detection and mitigation capabilities, this diplomacy also builds networks of trust with partner nations, which is essential amidst the increasing complexity of global threats. Therefore, in the era of digital globalization, full of interconnections, cyber defense diplomacy serves not only as a national protection tool but also as Indonesia's contribution to global cybersecurity stability. This effort prioritizes synergy between technological innovation, law enforcement, and sustainable international cooperation.

One example of a case of falsified documents in the issuance of overlapping land certificates occurred in East Luwu Regency and was raised in court through Decision Number 90/Pid.B/2020/PN MII. In this case, it was discovered that land certificate falsification was carried out by a land mafia, resulting in the emergence of two certificates for the same plot of land. This practice not only harms the legitimate owner but also creates laws and gives rise to complex agrarian conflicts. This research uses a normative juridical method, with an approach based on laws and court decisions. The results show that the preservation was an intentional act carried out by one party, with the aim of controlling land rights that did not belong to him. In the decision, the perpetrator was found guilty and sentenced because it was also proven to have falsified documents, as stipulated in Article 263 of the Criminal Code (KUHP). From this case, it can be concluded that law enforcement against overlapping duplicate certificates is very important to ensure legal certainty and protection. Protection efforts for land rights holders are carried out through a land registration process that complies with procedures based on Law Number 5 of 1960 concerning the Principles of Agrarian Law. Compliance with these procedures can provide a strong basis for identifying legitimate rights holders and preventing future damage, including cases of overlapping certificates caused by document falsification. To prevent the recurrence of similar cases, it is necessary to improve the monitoring system and digitize land data comprehensively by the National Land Agency (BPN). An integrated digital-based land system can minimize the opportunity for the issuance of duplicate certificates for a single plot of land, because all land rights data can be accessed and disclosed transparently and in real time.

Environmental character education from an early age is a strategic step in developing a generation that cares about the natural world. Instilling this value is crucial in concrete ways so that children can understand and directly experience the benefits of protecting the environment. One effort undertaken is through a simple hydroponic learning activity involving children from TKS Kartika V 16. The activity was held once at the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic with the support of lecturers as resource persons. Through a hands-on learning method, the children were introduced to how to grow lettuce and bok choy using a simple hydroponic system. The learning process included an introduction to tools and materials, an explanation of the planting stages, and plant care. Observations throughout the activity showed high enthusiasm among the children. They were actively involved, from preparing the planting medium, planting the seeds, to providing air and nutrients to the plants. This activity fostered a sense of care and responsibility for the plants they grew themselves. Furthermore, the children's fine motor skills were also demonstrated through activities such as arranging the planting medium, sowing the seeds, and assembling the hydroponic equipment. This activity not only developed individual skills but also taught social values such as cooperation and mutual assistance. Children learn to work in groups, help each other, and appreciate each other's roles in the planting process. This hands-on, hands-on approach has proven effective in strengthening environmental awareness in a fun and contextual way. Therefore, environmental education through hydroponics can be a practical, inspiring, and easy-to-implement learning medium for young children, while also serving as a concrete example of how character education can go hand-in-hand with the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies.

This research started from the difference in understanding of mathematical concepts found in students in grades XI-1 of SMA Kanjeng Sepuh Sidayu. The main purpose of this study is to analyze students' understanding of mathematical concepts based on extroverted and introverted personalities, with an ethnomathematical approach on the building of the Kanjeng Sepuh Sidayu Mosque. The research subjects consisted of four students who were selected with two personality categories, namely two students with introverted personalities and two students with extroverted personalities, which were determined through a personality questionnaire. Data collection techniques were carried out using questionnaires to find out personality types, mathematical concept understanding tests, and in-depth interviews to further explore students' understanding. The results showed that there were significant differences in the understanding of mathematical concepts between students with introverted and extroverted personalities. Students with introverted personalities show good ability to meet indicators 1, 3, and 5. This indicator includes the ability to restate a concept, provide examples and non-examples of a concept, and apply concepts or logarithms in problem solving. Students with extroverted personalities, on the other hand, excel in indicators 1, 2, and 4. This indicator includes the ability to restate a concept, classify objects according to the concept, and use and choose certain procedures or operations in solving problems. This study provides insight that the understanding of mathematical concepts is not only influenced by cognitive abilities alone, but also by students' personality factors. Introverted and extroverted personalities affect the way they absorb and apply mathematical concepts. Therefore, it is important for educators to pay attention to these differences in designing teaching approaches that suit the characteristics of the students.

This study aims to examine the differences and similarities between continental and local Indonesian cuisine, focusing on the case studies of Beef Stroganoff and Rendang. The study covers aspects such as ingredients, cooking techniques, presentation, and the cultural values embedded in these dishes. The research employs a qualitative descriptive case study approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and literature review. The results indicate that continental cuisine emphasizes the use of high-quality ingredients, often favoring simplicity and freshness, and applies quick cooking techniques such as sautéing or grilling. Presentation is also a key element, with attention to aesthetic appeal and portion control. Beef Stroganoff, for example, is known for its creamy texture and elegant plating. In contrast, local Indonesian cuisine, as exemplified by Rendang, is characterized by its complex spice blends and slow cooking methods, often taking hours to achieve the desired taste and texture. Rendang holds deep social and cultural meanings, commonly served at ceremonial events or traditional gatherings, symbolizing patience, generosity, and respect for tradition. Despite these differences, both types of cuisine share similar functions in society: they both aim to fulfill nutritional needs, express cultural values, and strengthen social bonds. Food, in both contexts, becomes more than just sustenance—it is a form of identity and communication. This study recommends integrating local culinary studies into the culinary education curricula, especially at vocational and higher education levels. By doing so, students not only learn technical skills but also develop an appreciation for the cultural heritage embodied in Indonesian cuisine. This is essential in the era of globalization, where local identities risk being overshadowed by global culinary trends. Preserving and promoting traditional dishes like Rendang is vital for safeguarding Indonesia’s gastronomic identity and fostering pride in national culture.

This study examines the translation shifts in the short story The Gift of the Magi, which was translated from English to Indonesian under the title Pemberian Sang Majus by Maggie Tiojakin. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the types of translation shifts present in the short story. Data collection was carried out using the documentation method, with the data analyzed based on Catford's translation shift theory using a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings of this study reveal that several types of translation shifts are evident in the short story. These include shifts of level, shifts of structure, shifts of unit, and shifts of intra-system. Shifts of level occur when an item in the source language at one linguistic level has an equivalent in the target language at a different level. For example, a phrase in the source language may be translated as a word or clause in the target language. Shifts of structure refer to differences in grammatical structures between the source and target languages, such as changes in sentence construction or word order to ensure fluency in the translation.

The presumption of innocence is a fundamental principle in the criminal justice system that serves to protect the rights of the accused from the risk of unfair punishment. This principle states that a person is presumed innocent until proven legally and convincingly guilty of committing a crime before a court. This research uses an empirical juridical method, namely a legal approach that examines how positive law, especially unwritten law, is applied in society. In this context, the research highlights the implementation of the presumption of innocence in criminal justice practices in Indonesia. The application of the presumption of innocence is very important for the judicial process to run fairly, directed, and achieve the main objectives of criminal justice, namely upholding justice, legal certainty, and legal order. The relationship between this principle and human rights is very close, because with this principle, suspects and defendants are guaranteed to obtain legal protection during the legal process. Rights such as not being treated as guilty before a court decision, the right to defense, and the right to humane treatment are part of this principle. Enforcing the presumption of innocence is not only the responsibility of law enforcement officers such as the police, prosecutors, and judges, but also all elements of society. Therefore, it is crucial for every citizen to understand and respect this principle in their social lives, especially in responding to ongoing legal cases. As a concrete implementation, law enforcement must implement policies that protect the public and maintain a sense of security, for example by increasing surveillance in crime-prone areas. This way, the law can be enforced fairly, and public trust in the criminal justice system will increase. The presumption of innocence is a crucial foundation for the creation of humane and fair trials in Indonesia.

Moral education is the main pillar in shaping the character of children who have integrity, empathy, and have high moral awareness, especially in terms of filial devotion to parents. In the midst of the advancement of the times and the rapid development of technology, children face great challenges in maintaining noble moral values. The unstoppable flow of digital information often presents content that is contrary to family and religious values. Therefore, moral education is present as a systematic effort to instill good values in a sustainable and contextual manner with the development of the times. This study uses a library research approach to explore the role of moral education in shaping the character of children who are devoted to their parents. Data sources are collected from scientific journals, textbooks, and current academic articles relevant to the theme. The results of the study show that the formation of filial character is greatly influenced by the example of parents and teachers, habituation of positive behaviors such as good manners, worship together, and affectionate communication. In addition, the integration of moral values in the school environment, explicit curriculum policy support for character education, and the wise use of digital media are important factors in supporting the success of moral education. Furthermore, strengthening the school culture and the active involvement of the community in internalizing moral values also strengthen the moral education process. This study concludes that moral education cannot run in isolation, but must be the result of synergy between family, school, and community. Thus, children not only grow up as intellectually intelligent individuals, but also have emotional and spiritual intelligence that reflects an attitude of respect and love for parents. Strong moral education from an early age is a long-term investment for the formation of a generation with noble character.

This study analyzes the phenomenon of judgmental attitudes among women in public spaces, particularly in women-only train carriages, through the perspective of radical feminism and the concept of internalized misogyny. Internalized misogyny is a form of internalization of sexist and discriminatory values against women that are accepted and carried out by women themselves without realizing it, as a result of the influence of patriarchal culture that has taken root in society. This judgmental attitude appears in the form of rivalry, mutual demeaning, and the tendency to compare oneself with other women to gain validation or feel superior. A case study conducted in a women-only train carriage shows that spaces that should be safe for women actually create new social dynamics, such as competition for facilities, conflicts between passengers, and the erosion of empathy and solidarity among women. These findings indicate that internalized misogyny exacerbates negative stereotypes against women and strengthens rivalries between them, thus creating an environment that does not support solidarity. For example, women tend to demean each other or feel threatened when they are in spaces that should be safe for them. This research highlights the importance of understanding the mechanisms of internalized misogyny and its impact on women's social interactions in public spaces, as this phenomenon hinders the creation of more equal and supportive relationships between women. A deeper understanding of these dynamics can facilitate women's empowerment and foster stronger solidarity within society. Therefore, it is crucial for women to dismantle their internalized patriarchal values to foster equality and support among women in public spaces.

Arabic language proficiency, a key element in Islamic religious education, requires adequate learning resources. One innovation that contributes to the learning process is the use of a digital Arabic-Indonesian dictionary. This study aims to identify the extent to which students utilize digital dictionaries and their impact on Arabic language learning. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach through data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Participants included students enrolled in the Arabic Language Education study program from the 2010 intake, lecturers teaching Arabic, and data on the use of digital dictionary applications. The study findings indicate that most students prefer using digital dictionaries due to their ease of access and comprehensive features, such as instant word search and examples of word usage in context. Students perceive digital dictionaries as more practical and efficient, especially for quickly searching for word meanings, which is very helpful in the intensive Arabic language learning process. However, several obstacles also arise, including low digital literacy among some students and limited internet access in some locations. On the other hand, lecturers at the Al-Zaytun Islamic Institute in Indonesia continue to encourage the use of printed dictionaries to train students' accuracy in searching for meanings, especially so that they do not rely solely on technology. Overall, the use of digital dictionaries has been proven to positively contribute to improving Arabic comprehension and sentence structure, making them an effective and relevant alternative learning resource in the digital age. The use of digital Arabic-Indonesian dictionaries also makes it easier for students to learn technical terms frequently used in academic and religious texts.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in supporting the growth and stability of the national economy (Endra et al., 2024), particularly in the ever-expanding culinary sector. However, MSMEs often face challenges in creating visually appealing and professional promotional elements. One example is BentoDay, a food business in West Jakarta that still relies on simple promotions through social media without optimal content packaging. This activity aims to improve the digital promotional capacity of MSMEs through a training and mentoring program focused on creating logos and product catalogs using Canva. Canva is a digital-based visual design tool that is easy to use, even for beginners, to create content such as posters, banners, and social media promotional materials (Akbar et al., n.d.). This training was conducted through a series of activities, starting with initial observation, direct training, intensive mentoring, and evaluation of participants' designs. The results showed that participants were able to independently produce promotional materials, such as logos and product catalogs, with more attractive and consistent designs. In addition to improving design skills, this training also had a positive impact on MSMEs' digital marketing strategies. Good visual design has been shown to increase consumer appeal and product sales. Thus, mastering digital skills is crucial for strengthening brand identity and expanding market reach (Andari, Sari, & Hidayat, 2025). The use of Canva has proven effective in supporting the digital promotional transformation of MSMEs to become more competitive in the digital era.

This study aims to understand how Islamic values are represented in the television program Cahaya Tauhid, broadcast on MNCTV. This program, a religious program, aims to convey moral messages and Islamic teachings through stories related to everyday life. A qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm was used to explore the representation of Islamic values in this program as a result of social construction influenced by media ideology, the interests involved, and audience responses. Data collected came from non-participant observation of 27 episodes of Cahaya Tauhid broadcast on the MNCTV YouTube Channel. The results show that this program contains Islamic messages that cover five main dimensions: aqidah (faith), worship, morals, social and muamalah (social behavior), and Ramadan spirituality. The most dominant Islamic values in this program are tauhid (monotheism), worship, morals, social and humanitarian, and tazkiyatun nafs (purification of the soul). The values of worship and tauhid, in particular, appear consistently in almost every episode and are the main focus of this program. These messages are delivered in a simple yet meaningful manner, making them easily understood by the audience. This program successfully represents Islamic teachings in the context of everyday life and shapes the audience's perspective on Islam. Thus, Cahaya Tauhid can be considered an example of an effective television da'wah program in building Islamic understanding through mass media, while also serving as a means of education and dissemination of Islamic values. Furthermore, this study also found that Cahaya Tauhid uses a narrative approach that combines Islamic values with real-life stories, making it more relevant and engaging for the audience. Thus, Cahaya Tauhid can be considered an example of an effective television da'wah program in building Islamic understanding through mass media, while also serving as a means of education and dissemination of Islamic values.

Mathematics is a universal science that underlies the development of modern science and technology, and has an important role in the development of human thinking. Mathematics is a subject that is based on logical, rational, critical, and systematic thinking patterns. Religion and rationality are two perspectives that have a strong influence. Humans view religious values and rational values as different entities, causing a dichotomy paradigm, especially in the realm of education. In the perspective of the epistemology of science in Islam, Islam and science are complementary and interdependent entities. The mathematical approach used here does not mean that Islamic values are low, but only to increase the belief of Muslims that all knowledge is valuable and can lead to true goodness and increase faith and closeness to Allah SWT.To examine how Islamic values are applied in mathematics learning, To identify and develop effective strategies or methods in integrating Islamic values in mathematics learning materials, To measure the extent of the application of Islamic values in mathematics learning. This study uses a qualitative approach, while the type of research used by the researcher is descriptive research.Mathematics as a logical and systematic science, has a meeting point with Islamic teachings that emphasize truth, justice, and balance. For example, the concept of monotheism can be associated with the order of the universe expressed through mathematical formulas, fostering a sense of gratitude and obedience. The implementation of Islamic values that are rahmatan lil 'alamin (blessing for all nature) in mathematics learning, especially to form honest and fair characters in students.

MSMEs play a strategic role in supporting the growth and stability of the national economy (Endra et al., 2024), especially in the culinary sector which continues to grow. However, a fundamental problem commonly experienced by MSMEs is the ability to create visually attractive and professional promotional elements. One example is BentoDay, a food business in West Jakarta, which still relies on simple visual promotions through social media without optimal content packaging. This activity aims to develop the digital promotional capacity of participants through program mentoring and training that focuses on creating logos and product catalogs using the Canva application, a digital tool used for easy-to-use visual design purposes that allows even beginners to create posters, banners and social media content (Akbar et al., n.d.). Initial observations, direct training, intensive mentoring, and evaluation of participants' design results are part of the mentoring activity approach. The results of the activity implementation illustrate that participants have the ability to independently produce promotional materials, such as business logos and product catalogs with more attractive and consistent designs. This training not only improves participants' design skills but also has a positive impact on the digital marketing strategy of culinary businesses. MSMEs can improve their competitiveness and increase sales by implementing better design. This approach demonstrates the importance of acquiring digital skills for MSMEs to strengthen their brand identity and expand their consumer reach (Andari, N., Sari, D.P., & Hidayat, 2025). Therefore, using Canva has proven useful for enhancing the competitiveness of MSME digital promotions.

Social campaign posters are one of the visual communication media that has an important role in conveying public messages, shaping perceptions, and encouraging changes in social behavior in society. With visual power, posters can express messages directly, effectively, and emotionally to the audience. This study aims to examine how key visual elements—color, typography, imagery, and layout—affect the emotional response and audience engagement to social campaign messages. A qualitative approach was used by collecting data through visual observation of a number of selected social campaign posters, design analysis, and literature review from relevant literature. The results of the analysis show that each visual element has a significant contribution to the power of the message. Colors, for example, are able to evoke emotional resonance by influencing the mood of the audience, such as the color red that conveys urgency or the color green that represents expectations and the environment. Imagery or illustrations provide the power of imagination and help the audience connect the message with social reality. Proper typography improves readability, emphasizes the main message, and establishes the desired tone of communication. Meanwhile, a well-planned layout creates a visual flow that makes it easier for the audience to understand the message in order. The harmonious interplay between colors, typography, imagery, and layout has been proven to strengthen visual appeal, evoke empathy, and motivate audiences to participate in social campaigns.

In contemporary media, characters who self-diagnose with psychological disorders often reflect deeper emotional and psychological complexities rather than clinically accurate conditions. One compelling example is found in the British dark comedy-drama series The End of The F**ing World*, where James claims to be a psychopath. However, this self-diagnosis raises critical psychological questions: Is James truly incapable of empathy, or is his label a defense mechanism masking unresolved trauma from his childhood? By applying Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory—particularly the structural model of personality (id, ego, superego)—alongside Anna Freud’s theory of defense mechanisms, this study investigates the role of self-diagnosis not as an objective or medically valid truth, but as a psychological shield to avoid emotional vulnerability and confrontation with repressed pain. James' behaviors are analyzed through selected scenes and dialogues in the series, with additional triangulation from the original graphic novel to support the interpretation. The analysis reveals that James’ declaration of being a psychopath aligns more with mechanisms such as repression, projection, and emotional numbing, rather than the clinical criteria of psychopathy. His emotional detachment is revealed to be a constructed barrier stemming from maternal loss, neglect, and fear of connection. The study concludes that self-diagnosis in this context acts as a subconscious strategy to cope with unresolved trauma and to maintain psychological equilibrium amid inner conflict. This case exemplifies how fictional representations can mirror real-life struggles with identity, mental health, and the desire to label complex emotions through simplified diagnostic terms, especially in youth who lack proper support systems.

Small-scale economic activities, such as micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), play a vital role in a region's economy. MSMEs need to be protected and empowered to prevent unfair competition between businesses, especially those involving large-scale businesses. One example of an MSME with great potential is the amplang (rice crackers) manufacturing business, a typical souvenir from Balikpapan. Amplang has a distinctive taste and is attractive to tourists visiting the city, and has the potential to be further developed in the future. However, during the community service process, several problems were discovered among these MSMEs. One of the main problems is the lack of online product marketing expansion. These MSMEs still rely on traditional marketing methods, which are limited to direct sales or through local markets. However, with technological developments and high internet usage, the use of social media for product promotion can have a significant impact on increasing sales and market reach. To address this issue, market share expansion was carried out by utilizing social media, which has not previously been used by these MSMEs. Social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp can be highly effective platforms for introducing amplang products to a wider market, both locally, regionally, and nationally. Furthermore, this community service program also provides business development assistance by providing training to MSMEs in social media management, engaging content creation, and appropriate digital marketing strategies. With this introduction to online marketing and mentoring, it is hoped that amplang MSMEs in Balikpapan can better develop their businesses, expand their market reach, and increase their competitiveness in an increasingly competitive market.
