This study analyzes pragmatic phenomena in digital communication, particularly those related to speech acts and their impact on public perception in the controversial case of an ice cube seller accused without clear basis by the authorities. This study applies a qualitative approach with a pragmatic analysis method based on discourse analysis. Data sources were obtained from online media news, social media posts, and official statements circulating in the digital public space. The analysis techniques used include identifying types of speech acts, interpreting implied meanings based on context, and analyzing public responses. The results show that statements from the authorities contain implications that trigger negative views even though they are not supported by strong evidence. This results in perlocutionary effects in the form of social stigma, reputational damage, and psychological stress for the victim. Conversely, the victim's communication strategies, which include being polite, defensive, and informative, can build a positive image and attract public sympathy. Furthermore, social media plays a crucial role in accelerating the spread of meaning and strengthening the construction of opinions through mass support and criticism. This research makes a significant contribution to enriching the study of pragmatics in the context of digital communication and emphasizes the importance of language ethics, media literacy, and pragmatic awareness in creating responsible public communication.

This research aims to describe the forms and functions of representative speech acts found in the YouTube video “The Basic Concept of Understanding Humans” by Cania Citta. The study arises from the phenomenon of digital communication, which demonstrates a shift in speech patterns from merely delivering information to constructing intellectual discourse that is both reflective and argumentative. A descriptive qualitative method with a pragmatic approach was employed. The data, consisting of representative utterances, were collected through observation and note-taking techniques on video transcripts, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which involves data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the dominant representative speech acts include stating, explaining, reporting, concluding, and speculating. Each utterance functions not only to convey information but also to build rational argumentation and foster critical awareness among audiences regarding the concept of humanity. Illocutionarily, these utterances perform informative, argumentative, and reflective functions, emphasizing the speaker’s epistemic responsibility toward the truth of the propositions delivered. The perlocutionary effects include an increased interest and heightened critical awareness among audiences concerning philosophical issues about human nature. This study contributes to the development of pragmatic studies, particularly in understanding the role of language as an instrument of knowledge and persuasion in digital media.

The development of digital media has transformed Islamic da’wah into a digitally mediated form of religious communication, reshaping structures of authority, engagement, and community formation. However, existing research remains fragmented and lacks a comprehensive structural map. This study conducted a Systematic Literature Network Analysis (SLNA) of Scopus-indexed publications on Islamic da’wah via digital platforms from 2016 to 2026. Using PRISMA-based screening techniques and bibliometric methods—including co-authorship, co-citation, and co-occurrence analyses with VOSviewer—the study analyzed 74 peer-reviewed journal articles. The results indicate a significant increase in the number of publications, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic. The field is structured around four main themes: platform-based engagement strategies, youth identity formation, digital authority and ethics, and the adaptation of prophetic communication principles to the online context. Although Indonesia and Malaysia dominate the research output, the collaborative network remains relatively dispersed. New topics such as the influence of algorithms and AI-supported da‘wah suggest an expansion toward interdisciplinary directions. This study provides the first comprehensive map based on Scopus for research on Islamic digital da‘wah and offers a foundation for future theoretical and empirical development.

Instagram has evolved into a digital public sphere that enables collective interaction and the expression of social identity, particularly within the context of sports fandom. This study aims to analyze the representation of social identity among supporters of the Indonesian National Football Team in digital interactions found in the comment section of the "Round 4" post on the official Instagram account @timnasindonesia. This research employs a qualitative approach using netnography to examine communication practices, symbols, language, and emotional expressions manifested in online interactions among supporters. The analytical framework is grounded in Social Identity Theory proposed by Tajfel and Turner, which emphasizes three core processes: social categorization, social identification, and social comparison. The findings reveal that Instagram comment sections function as arenas for constructing collective identity among Indonesian national team supporters. Social categorization is reflected in the symbolic boundaries formed between "us" as supporters and "others" as outsiders or opponents. Social identification is expressed through displays of national pride, emotional loyalty, the use of national symbols, and narratives of digital solidarity. Meanwhile, social comparison emerges through evaluations of rival teams, criticism of dissenting voices, and efforts to maintain a positive in-group image. These results indicate that digital fanaticism toward the Indonesian National Team extends beyond sports support, representing a form of digital nationalism and social identity construction in the new media environment. This study contributes to digital communication scholarship by deepening the understanding of how social identity and nationalism are negotiated through symbolic interaction on social media platforms.

The development of information and communication technology has significantly transformed consumer behavior, particularly in the process of searching for information prior to making a purchase. One rapidly growing phenomenon is Electronic Word-of-Mouth (eWOM), which refers to informal communication among consumers through digital platforms such as social media, online forums, and product review websites. eWOM is considered more credible than traditional advertising because it originates from real user experiences. This study aims to analyze the impact of eWOM on consumer purchase intention with trust as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design was employed, involving active users of digital platforms who accessed product reviews before purchasing. Data were collected via online questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression and mediation testing (Baron and Kenny approach with Sobel test). The findings reveal that eWOM has a positive and significant effect on consumer trust (β = 0.72) and directly influences purchase intention (β = 0.31). Trust demonstrates a stronger effect on purchase intention (β = 0.56) and serves as a significant mediator in the relationship between eWOM and purchase intention (indirect effect = 0.40). These results highlight that the quality, credibility, and consistency of eWOM information are crucial in building consumer trust, which subsequently enhances purchase intention. Theoretically, this study enriches digital marketing literature, while practically it provides implications for companies to manage online reviews transparently and foster consumer trust to drive purchasing decisions.

The development of digital media has encouraged various forms of identity representation on video-sharing platforms such as YouTube. In this context, mukbang content functions not only as entertainment but also as a medium for constructing creators’ personal branding. This study aims to analyze how personal branding is constructed in food vlogging and mukbang content produced by Tanboy Kun on YouTube. This research employs a qualitative approach using qualitative content analysis to identify communication patterns, visual representations, and thematic consistency within the videos. The analysis is based on six indicators of personal branding by Montoya and Vandehey (2002): specialization, personality, distinctiveness, visibility, persistence, and goodwill, reinforced by Roland Barthes’ semiotic approach at the levels of denotation, connotation, and myth. The findings indicate that personal branding is constructed through the consistent concept of extreme and spicy food as specialization, expressive communication style as personality, content differentiation as distinctiveness, upload intensity as visibility, format continuity as persistence, and positive image formation through attitudes and interaction as goodwill. These results demonstrate that personal branding in mukbang content is strategically formed through consistent and structured representation. This study contributes to digital communication research, particularly in understanding personal identity construction in video-based media.

Political party support organizations play a crucial role in expanding the reach of party activities, particularly in the context of communication and political socialization at the local level. This study aims to examine how party support organizations carry out their political communication function, particularly in channeling and integrating community interests, while also analyzing their contribution to the political socialization process during the 2024 Legislative Elections in Central Lampung Regency. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 18 informants, participant observation, and documentation of organizational activities. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model. The results indicate that party support organizations function as intermediaries between political parties and the community in establishing two-way communication. Furthermore, these organizations are able to absorb community aspirations at the local level and convey political information through a culturally and community-based approach. However, the effectiveness of this role still faces obstacles such as limited resources, low cadre capacity, and weak coordination between organizations. Furthermore, clientelism practices are still found and have the potential to reduce the quality of public political education. This study recommends strengthening organizational governance, increasing the capacity of digital-based cadres, and more systematically integrating supporting organizational networks to strengthen the institutionalization of political parties at the local level.

This research aims to analyze the capacity building of government personnel in implementing the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) at the Department of Communication and Informatics of Gresik Regency, which plays a strategic role in digital governance. This study uses a qualitative approach focusing on capacity development strategies and constraints at individual and organizational levels. The findings show that capacity building is carried out through two main strategies: human resource development and organizational strengthening. In human resource development, the establishment and training of an internal assessor team serve as key instruments in supporting SPBE implementation. This team represents institutionalized capacity, enabling the organization to independently conduct monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance processes in a sustainable manner. This approach reflects a long-term strategy to strengthen institutional independence and reduce reliance on external parties. In organizational strengthening, capacity building focuses on optimizing organizational structure, work systems, coordination mechanisms, and regulatory support, including standard operating procedures. However, several constraints were identified. At the individual level, there is an imbalance in technical competencies, especially in information technology skills. At the organizational level, the lack of optimal follow-up after training highlights the need for more integrated human resource planning. These findings indicate that capacity building in SPBE implementation requires a systemic, well-planned, and sustainable approach to achieve effective, adaptive, and responsive digital government governance in the public sector.

Digital transformation in the public sector has significantly driven service innovations, particularly in pension administration for Civil Servants (ASN). This study aims to analyze the development of digital-based public service innovations in pension administration while identifying the benefits and challenges associated with their implementation. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by examining relevant scholarly articles from national journals focusing on the digitalization of public services and pension systems. The literature selection process was conducted systematically to identify, evaluate, and synthesize key findings related to digital pension service innovations. The results indicate that digitalization through applications and electronic platforms enhances administrative efficiency, accelerates data verification, and improves the speed of pension fund disbursement. It also strengthens transparency and accountability while simplifying bureaucratic procedures and expanding service accessibility for retirees. This study aims to analyze the marketing strategies of maternal and child healthcare services in hospitals to enhance patient experience, emphasizing a shift from traditional promotional approaches toward the creation of a positive and empathetic patient experience. This research employs a systematic literature review of relevant studies published between 2021 and 2025, with analysis conducted through identification, selection, and thematic synthesis to determine key factors influencing patient satisfaction and loyalty. The findings indicate that the quality of interpersonal interactions and the efficiency of service processes are the primary determinants of patient experience, where factors such as staff empathy, clear communication, reduced waiting times, and well-structured service flows have a greater impact than the technical aspects of medical care. Hospitals should therefore prioritize people- and process-oriented strategies by implementing empathy training, enhancing communication effectiveness, and regularly measuring patient satisfaction, while also integrating digital services, ensuring cost transparency, and developing continuity of care programs to strengthen the patient experience holistically. This study proposes a holistic marketing framework that integrates empathy, efficiency, data-driven personalization, and environmental sustainability, highlighting a shift from a purely clinical orientation to an experiential marketing approach that places human values at the core of a hospital’s competitive advantage.

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed patterns of communication and social interaction, particularly through the widespread use of social media platforms. This study examines how language practices on social media shape youth identity formation and social relations through the philosophical perspective of Ludwig Wittgenstein’s concept of language games. Using a qualitative method with a literature review approach, the study analyzes various academic sources to interpret digital linguistic practices among young people. The findings indicate that language on social media functions not merely as a medium for transmitting information but as a social practice governed by specific rules, conventions, and contexts of use. Expressions such as emojis, memes, slang, hashtags, and other symbolic forms operate as elements of language games that enable young users to construct and display their identities, build group solidarity, and negotiate social meanings within digital communities. At the same time, these linguistic practices also reveal tensions between honesty and manipulation, as reflected in phenomena such as false self-presentation, hoaxes, and persuasive language strategies. Therefore, social media language both reflects and actively shapes contemporary social realities, influencing how individuals understand themselves, others, and the dynamics of meaning and power in digital communication.

This study examines clause structures and syntactic relations in argumentative articles published on the 2025 edition of the Badan Bahasa website. As a communication tool, language plays a crucial role in conveying ideas and shaping logical reasoning, particularly in argumentative texts that require a high degree of cohesion and coherence. The research aims to describe the patterns of clause structure and interclausal syntactic relations used in these articles to understand how linguistic constructions influence argumentative strength. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach with the distributional method, the study relies on internal linguistic elements as analytical instruments. The findings show that the articles generally employ single clauses with S–P–Pelengkap patterns as well as complex clauses expressing causation, alongside syntactic relations that include coordination and subordination, including causal, contrastive, purposive, and additive relations. These patterns indicate consistent application of Indonesian syntactic rules, although some repetitive tendencies appear in the use of active clauses and multi-layered complex sentence structures. The study highlights the importance of mastering clause structure in constructing logical, persuasive argumentative texts, and the findings are expected to serve as a reference for writers and language institutions to improve academic writing quality and enrich linguistic studies in digital contexts.
