Learning and teaching activities occur almost every day in the classroom between teachers and students. In this context, the process is usually thought of as the teacher delivering material to students while the students listen to the teacher's explanation. Learning in the classroom can occur if an interaction or synergy is created from various factors that support the teaching and learning process such as the presence of teachers, students, curriculum, teaching methods or techniques, teaching media and others. In this case, a learning activity is carried out to achieve learning objectives. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of using children's songs as a method of learning English in elementary schools. The research method used is qualitative research with a literature study approach. The research results show that the use of children's songs in English learning in elementary schools can increase students' motivation, strengthen their language skills, and facilitate enjoyable learning. Children's songs help students internalize English vocabulary, grammar and intonation more effectively. These findings provide important insights for the development of English language learning strategies that focus on students' active involvement. It is hoped that the results of this research can become a basis for developing a more innovative and student-oriented English language learning approach in elementary schools.

Language serves as a medium for interpersonal communication. The acquisition of language in children commences during infancy and progresses through exposure and linguistic maturation. The enhancement of linguistic abilities in early childhood is geared towards acquainting and enhancing their linguistic repertoire, enabling effective verbal interaction with their surroundings. The realm of language proficiency encompasses four key components: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. A method employed to foster linguistic proficiency involves the utilization of flashcards. The approach employed in this study involves a review of existing literature. The findings revealed that the utilization of flashcard materials has the potential to enhance linguistic abilities among young children by incorporating visual elements such as images, alphabets, symbols, and colors. This, in turn, captures the attention of children, facilitates easier retention of new words, enables recognition of letter shapes and sounds, enhances listening skills, promotes critical thinking, and encourages verbal expression, as evidenced by their communication proficiency.

Language plays an important role in children's daily lives as it is a communication tool that connects individuals in society. Language skills are the foundation for a child that is naturally acquired to adapt to their environment, as a tool to socialise and a way to respond to others. This study set out to ascertain how the roleplaying approach affected the language development of young children. One group pretest postest design is the research design that the investigators utilized. This method is carried out to take measurements before (pretest) and after (posttest) giving treatment. Because the situation before the treatment can be compared, the outcomes of the treatment can be known with more accuracy. Based on the results of the study, the results show that there is a significant influence between before and after treatment. Based on the data analysis in this study, researchers can conclude that there is a significant effect of the treatment given on the language skills of Kartika I-57 Bukittinggi kindergarten students. This is based on the results of the Independent Samples Test which shows a significance value (Sig.) of 0.001, which is smaller than 0.005. This result shows a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results, so the intervention method applied in the meeting session is effective in improving children's language development. In addition, the results of normality and homogeneity tests showed that the data were normally distributed and the research subjects had homogeneous characteristics.   Keywords: Language plays an important role in children's daily lives as it is a communication tool that connects individuals in society. This research is motivated by the fact that nearly 70% of children who are newly enrolled and start learning at Bunda Kartika Kindergarten in Patumbak, Deli Serdang, have difficulty adjusting to the new learning environment. This stage of learning in kindergarten is their first step into formal education. According to the Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation No. 137 of 2014 on national standards for early childhood education (PAUD), it sets national standards for PAUD, including aspects of child development that must be met during the learning process. These standards cover various aspects of child adjustment such as socio-emotional, language, cognitive, and motor skills. This research aims to identify the nature of adjustment problems occurring in kindergartens and early childhood education by understanding the aspects of adjustment and the supporting and inhibiting factors for new students in adapting to the new environment. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method, where the researcher conducts objective interviews and environmental observations. Data collection techniques include document review, observation, and interviews. The results of the study indicate several issues related to children's adjustment, ranging from psychological factors, prenatal environment, parenting styles, to socialization problems in the school environment.
