The learning media used in this program is a student final exam product which is assessed in the Intensive Reading Course, where students are asked to read continuously about one short story, then conduct it into literary elements such as characterization, storyline, etc. After this progress, creative visual learning media was created using materials like paper or cardboard equipped with attractive colors. The objectives of this program include several things; firstly, improving the English language skills of children in the Manggrove Leaf Community, secondly, through learning media, it can be integrated into mastering vocabulary and pronunciation, and thirdly, children can retell what they hear in their own words. It is hoped that the method applied will continue to increase children's efforts in creative and enjoyable learning processes in various non-formal institutions. The pair-check method is a novel instructional approach to enhance students' reading comprehension. The study aimed to examine the impact of applying the pair check method for teaching reading comprehension students at SMPN. The experimental group consisted of 30 students, while in the control group, 30 students received instruction without any specific reading method, relying solely on opening a dictionary. The sample comprised 20 students from class A and B as the sample. The control group was instructed by using reading method and the experimental group was taught by applying pair checks method. The pre-test and post-test scores were compared between the experimental and control groups. The results indicated that the experimental class exhibited significant improvement in both pre- and posttest scores, with a notable increase in the average score from 33.6 in the pretest to 33.32 in the posttest. In addition, the control class, employing traditional teaching methods, exhibited a substantial increase in posttest score, indicating noteworthy progress in learning outcomes. These findings underscore the importance of instructional methods in influencing student outcomes, with the pair-Check method emerging as a practical and effective tool for improving reading comprehension in the educational setting. Further research and analysis are recommended to delve deeper into the statistical significance of these observations and to inform future instructional strategies for optimizing student learning outcomes in the classroom.

The general aim of this research is to determine the factors associated with the incidence of prolonged labor in women giving birth at the Djoelham Binjai Regional Hospital in 2023. Prolonged labor is a situation where the latent phase occurs for more than 8 hours or labor lasts more than 12 hours with the baby not yet being born. On a partograph, labor that is not progressing is indicated by cervical dilatation above the alert line (right side) in the active phase. The pathophysiology of prolonged labor is closely related to the concept of functional stages of labor which explains the physiological goals of labor. There are three functional stages of labor, namely the preparatory division, the opening/dilatation stage and the pelvic division. This research uses a quantitative type of research using retrospective research. The design of this research was carried out using a cross sectional approach. The sample in the study was women giving birth who experienced a long labor at Djoelham Binjai Regional Hospital in 2023. The proportion of respondents who had a long labor due to a weak vagina < 20' was 12 (40%), respondents who had a long labor due to CPD with In the No CPD category, there were 13 (43.3%) respondents who did not give birth for a long time due to their weight, with the weight category > 4000 grams being 12 (40%). The results (p value = 0.030 < 0.05) which means that this research shows that there is a significant relationship between His, CPD and Baby's Weight with Long Parturition at Djoelham Binjai Regional Hospital.
