In this study, parents as the child's closest environment have an important role in supporting child development. One of the things that can support the child's development is the pattern of caring adopted by parents. The pattern of caring is the relationship or patterns of interaction between parents and children in order to meet the physical and psychological needs of children. The Pattern of Caring is divided into three types, one of which is authoritarian. These problems arise as a result of children being subjected to excessive restrictions and pressure in the family environment. There is a huge influence on the social life of the child by the authoritarian pattern of parental care. Where there are many negative influences on the social life of the child. The Bengkalis Regency Education Office (Disdik) provides Local Children's Scholarships to students in an effort to help students to alleviate the dependents of the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) in pursuing education. In determining the recipient of the Tempatan Children's Scholarship, the Education Office government carries out several stages manually such as collecting all the files of students who register, after which the Education Office checks the completeness of the student files one by one, gives a value for each predetermined criterion and manually calculates the value of the criteria. A decision support system for recipients of web-based Local Children's Scholarships is needed to help determine recipients of Local Children's Scholarships to be faster and more accurate. This system is made using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method and Multi Attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison (MABAC) to facilitate the calculation and comparison of the value of each alternative in the system, by determining the ranking based on the largest value as the best alternative. The result of the application of the SAW and MABAC methods in the system is that the system displays alternative data sequentially based on rankings that can help in determining the recipient of the Local Children Scholarship. From 60 field data, the application of SAW and MABAC methods on this system has an accuracy of 83.3%. The development method used is the Extreme Programming method.

. Children with temper tantrums will show reactions that are out of the child's control such as screaming, rolling and screaming so that the impact of the child's intellectual and social development is not balanced and the child uses the tantrum as a weapon so that his desires are fulfilled. The lack of knowledge of mothers in dealing with temper tantrums has a bad impact on children, so knowledge about handling temper tantrums is needed. Education using audiovisual is effective in increasing knowledge because it is interesting, not boring, and easy to carry around. The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of audiovisual education on maternal behavior in the handling of preschool-age temper tantrums. The design of this study uses a Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest conducted on 34 mothers taken using the Total Sampling technique in May 2023. The intervention provided was in the form of playing educational videos on handling temper tantrums. The research data was taken with a temper tantrum knowledge questionnaire, then analyzed using the Paired T-test. The growth and development of toddlers are crucial in determining the welfare of a nation, as this period serves as the foundation for a healthy and productive future generation. Nutritional deficiencies in the early years of life can lead to stunting, which not only hinders a child's physical growth but also negatively impacts their learning abilities and immune system in the future. Addressing nutritional issues is essential by increasing mothers' knowledge. This activity aims to evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition education on balanced nutrition in preventing malnutrition in children at Posyandu Ngireng-ngireng, Kalurahan Panggungharjo. The education program was conducted using a lecture and Q&A method, supported by PowerPoint presentations displayed via LCD. The pre-test and post-test results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge, with the average score rising from 54.38 to 71.56. These results indicate that the lecture method, supported by visual media and interactive Q&A sessions, effectively enhances mothers' understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition. Therefore, this approach can be adopted in other health education programs to improve community knowledge about nutrition and child health

Heavy metals are chemical elements that can be toxic even at low concentrations. The presence of non-essential heavy metals in the environment can contaminate soil, water, and air. The consequences of this contamination affect the living organisms in the surrounding area. For instance, heavy metals in soil and water can contaminate plants growing in the region, which may then be processed as daily food sources, potentially impacting the health of those who consume them. Heavy metals such as lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), and arsenic (As) are non-essential heavy metals that are of primary concern due to their toxic nature. The presence of heavy metals in food can hinder the growth and development of children, making it crucial to implement educational initiatives and preventive measures to reduce heavy metal contamination in daily consumed foods. This activity involves educating people about the dangers of heavy metal contamination in food and the actions that can be taken to reduce the concentration of heavy metals in the food we consume.

The level of family welfare is the key to meeting children's nutritional needs. Parents need to identify nutritional problems experienced by children. Specifically, we want to know how family income affects children's caloric intake. The study used a cross-sectional analytical design. A total of seventy-four youngsters were sampled using the Simple Random Sampling approach. We used a questionnaire to collect data on family welfare levels, measured height and weight to calculate body mass index (BMI), and then ran the numbers through the Chi-Square Test. Among the families surveyed, 43.2% fell into the second group of wealthy, while 51.4% were classified as having normal nutrition. There is a statistically significant correlation between family welfare and children's nutritional status (p = 0.023, r(s) = 0.016, according to the Chi-Square test). The statistics indicate that children's nutritional status is adequate, although there is room for improvement. A child's nutritional condition may be affected by their family's degree of welfare. A child's dietary requirements are better met in families with greater levels of welfare. For optimal growth and development, it is expected that parents would attend to their children's dietary requirements

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem in young children that has serious implications for physical growth, cognitive development, and individual productivity. This condition is caused by a range of complex factors, including poor maternal nutrition and environmental conditions affecting quality of nutrition. The first 1,000 days of life represent a critical period for stunting prevention, as children's brain growth and development are particularly rapid during this time. Socialization regarding the importance of balanced nutrition and Family Planning programs is a strategic step to support optimal child growth and prevent stunting. This program begins with obtaining permits and coordinating with the Head of Kemiri Village to identify appropriate targets, as well as involving local neighborhood association in surveying facilities and infrastructure. The initiative aims to raise awareness in Kemiri Village about stunting and its prevention, and to educate the importance of balanced nutrition for supporting optimal child growth. Through socialization and counseling, it is hoped that the community will be able to recognize signs of stunting and take appropriate actions. This aligns with the village’s sustainable development goals (SDGs), particularly in achieving the target of a hunger-free village. By reducing the prevalence of stunting, the quality of life for the community can be significantly improved.

This study aims to explore the phenomenon of fatherlessness in family communication patterns. Fatherlessness, which refers to the lack of a father’s role either physically or psychologically, has become a significant issue in Indonesia, which ranks third in the world for fatherlessness cases. In this research, a qualitative method with a case study approach is used. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with informants who have experienced fatherlessness. The findings of the study indicate that the absence of a father has a significant impact on family communication patterns. Children who experience fatherlessness tend to have problems in interpersonal communication, decision-making, and emotion management, highlighting the importance of empathy in fatherless families. These findings are expected to raise public awareness, especially among parents, about the importance of a father's presence in the family, and contribute to the development of communication studies related to the phenomenon of fatherlessness.
