The increasing variety of digital financial products has contributed to greater access to financial services. However, there is growing need to enhance financial literacy, particularly among Generation Z, which dominates the use of technology compared to other generations. This generation is highly proficient in utilizing technology, including financial technology, which facilitates economic transactions through digital transfers and payments. On the other hand, this convenience also creates financial vulnerabilities for Generation Z, as reflected in poor personal fianncial management that leads to consumptive behavior and engagenment in online lending. Moreover, Generation Z tends to have lower levels of financial literacy compared to other generations. This community service program was conducted for Generation Z, specifically senior high school students at SMA Averos in Sorong City. The activity aimed to improve students’ understanding of financial literacy and provide practical tips for effective financial management. The program was implemented in the form of a financial literacy socialization activity, with the expectation of fostering financial awareness among young people regarding the importance of managing their finances and developing positive financial attitudes. The results of this activity indicate that students were able to understand financial literacy concepts effectively, leading to increased awareness and the ability to manage their finances in a prudent and responsible manner.

Online gambling has emerged as a growing public health and social concern, particularly in developing countries with rapid digitalization such as Indonesia. Increased internet accessibility, mobile device usage, and financial technology services have facilitated the widespread adoption of online gambling across diverse age groups, including adolescents. This study aims to investigate the phenomenon of online gambling and identify key determinants contributing to addictive gambling behavior. The method used is a narrative literature review, synthesizing findings from national and international studies related to online gambling, behavioral addiction, psychological mechanisms, and socio-environmental factors. The findings indicate that online gambling addiction is influenced by multiple interrelated determinants, including economic pressure, cognitive distortions such as illusion of control, low legal awareness, environmental exposure, and technological features embedded in gambling platforms. Neurobiologically, repetitive gambling behavior is reinforced by dysregulation of the brain’s reward system, particularly dopamine pathways, which strengthens compulsive engagement despite adverse consequences. Psychosocial impacts include increased risk of anxiety, depression, financial instability, social isolation, and criminal behavior. The study also highlights that adolescents are particularly vulnerable due to developmental factors and peer influence. The implications of these findings emphasize the need for comprehensive prevention strategies involving stricter legal enforcement, public education, mental health interventions, family support, and technological regulation. A multidisciplinary and public health–oriented approach is essential to reduce the prevalence of online gambling addiction and mitigate its long-term psychological, social, and economic consequences.

Health behaviors among youth have undergone a significant transformation, shifting from nightlife culture and alcohol consumption toward healthy lifestyles such as community sports (running and padel). This phenomenon, known as the sober curious movement, is triggered by massive interactions in digital spaces. This study aims to analyze the role of social media as a catalyst in the transformation of the sober curious lifestyle and the increased participation of youth in healthy living through a literature review. This research employs a narrative literature review method. Literature searches were conducted through the Consensus database, Google Scholar, and Garuda, covering the period from 2021 to 2026. Data analysis was performed thematically on articles relevant to the digital health behavior of young adults. Findings indicate that social media acts as a primary catalyst through social norm engineering, whereby health is now viewed as a prestigious social status symbol. Digital platforms provide a space for the younger generation to normalise alcohol-free lifestyles, so that they are no longer considered unusual by their peers. The synergy between educational content and online communities accelerates the continuous internalisation of preventive values. Social media effectively shifts the health paradigm of the younger generation from a mere medical obligation to an aspirational digital identity. Public health practitioners need to optimize this digital potential as a proactive health promotion instrument to foster a fitter society in the future.

Advances in information technology have ushered society into the new media era, where social media is not just an information tool but also a new social space for teenagers. Instagram, as a visual-based platform, plays a significant role in shaping the reality of ideal lifestyles. Teenagers, who are in the process of discovering their identities, are susceptible to the influence of influencers and aesthetically constructed lifestyle trends on social media. This often triggers a shift in consumption patterns from functional to symbolic needs. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects consisted of 10 students from the 2025 class of International Women University in Bandung, aged 18-20. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction and presentation. The findings indicate that all subjects are active social media users, spending 4 to 9 hours per day. They use Instagram as a means of building their personal branding and seeking lifestyle references. There is a tendency for consumer behavior driven by four main factors: peer influence and the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) phenomenon, the use of goods as symbols of social identity (sign value), exposure to persuasive content from opinion leaders or influencers, and consumption as psychological compensation (self-reward) to relieve academic stress. Students tend to make impulsive purchases of viral fashion, beauty, and culinary products to gain social recognition online.

This study examines junior high school students’ digital morality (digital akhlak) through an analysis of Islamic Education (PAI) textbooks, focusing on the prevention of ghibah, slander/misinformation, and hate speech. The study is grounded in the growing intensity of adolescents’ online interactions, which heightens ethical risks such as online backbiting, the spread of unverified information (hoax), and degrading expressions that may harm social cohesion. The study aims to describe how the textbook represents values and prohibitions related to these issues, to analyze instructional presentation (narratives, religious evidence, learning activities, and assessments), and to assess the alignment of textbook content with a digital morality framework that contextualizes Islamic moral values for online environments. Using a library research design and content analysis of the PAI textbook as the primary document, the discussion is strengthened by recent Indonesian journal literature on digital literacy, Islamic communication ethics, and moral education for digital natives. The findings indicate that the textbook provides a strong basis for preventing ghibah through clear definitions, scriptural reinforcement, and affective messages about safeguarding others’ dignity; it addresses slander/misinformation primarily through operational tabayyun skills, including source and content verification and contextual checking; meanwhile, the prevention of hate speech is present implicitly through prohibitions against insulting, mocking, and prejudging, yet requires more explicit enrichment via contextual cases and ethical response strategies for students as bystanders. Overall, the textbook has substantial potential to foster students’ digital morality when supported by consistent classroom habituation and contextual pedagogy.
