The analysis of import duty policies on the protection of the local industry sector, especially in the context of cross-border e-commerce, has become very relevant amid the rapid development of digital trade. This study aims to evaluate the impact of import duty policies implemented by the Indonesian government on local industries and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). With increasing access to imported goods through e-commerce platforms, the challenges for local products are growing. New policies that regulate the amount of import duties, including the possibility of high tariffs, are expected to suppress the inflow of foreign goods that can harm domestic industries. Through this case study, it is hoped that an effective solution can be found to create a balance between the protection of local industries and ease of access for consumers in the digital era. The findings of this study are expected to provide better policy recommendations to support the growth of the domestic industrial sector.

The growth of Indonesia's cattle population and productivity, and the factors contributing to these changes. Government policies, livestock health conditions and a shortage of quality feed have transformed Indonesia's cattle sector in recent years. Although the Special Effort for Mandatory Breeding Cattle (Upsus Siwab) programme has resulted in an increase in the cattle population, the implementation of this programme is still uneven across the country. In contrast, Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreaks and feed limitation issues are major constraints to increasing productivity. As the results show, regions that have better access to artificial insemination technology and high-quality feed have better results compared to other regions. To achieve sustainable cattle growth in Indonesia, more equitable policies, strengthened animal health systems, and improved feed distribution and quality are needed.

The beef cattle farming industry plays an important role in supporting food security and national economic growth. North Sumatra Province is an area with supportive geographical potential and great opportunities for developing this sector. However, several challenges such as low productivity, market competition, and infrastructure limitations still hinder its development. This study aims to analyze the potential and comparative advantages of North Sumatra Province in the development of beef cattle farming and to predict its growth in the future. The methods used are Location Quotient (LQ) analysis and the Growth Ratio Model (MRP). The data used are secondary data from the last three years (2020-2022) obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of North Sumatra Province, the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health, and the North Sumatra Provincial Livestock Office. LQ analysis is used to identify leading commodities in the livestock sector, while MRP is used to predict the growth of the beef cattle industry. The analysis results show that several districts in North Sumatra, such as Deli Serdang, Simalungun, and Asahan, have an LQ greater than 1, indicating that beef cattle farming is a leading sector. Meanwhile, several districts, such as Langkat and Karo, have an LQ less than 1, indicating that this sector has not yet become a base for beef cattle farming. With an MRP of 4.0%, Simalungun shows the highest growth rate, followed by Deli Serdang and Asahan. This research provides an important overview of the potential and challenges of beef cattle farming in North Sumatra Province for appropriate policy-making and the future development of this sector.

The practice of “All You Can Eat” (AYCE) is a food serving model where customers pay one fixed price to enjoy various types of all-you-can-eat dishes within a certain time limit. This concept has become a global trend and is widely implemented in Indonesia, especially in Japanese and Korean themed restaurants. As a modern form of muamalah, AYCE raises questions in the perspective of Islamic law because it involves aspects of economic transactions that must fulfill the pillars and conditions of buying and selling according to Islam. This study examines the mechanism of AYCE, starting from the payment system, time policy, and additional rules such as fines for uneaten food. In addition, it discusses the application of the pillars and conditions of buying and selling in Islam, which include clarity of goods, valid contracts, and voluntary consent of the parties involved. The main focus is on the potential element of uncertainty (gharar) in AYCE practices, especially regarding the different portions of food consumed by customers, which forms the basis of the Islamic legal analysis of this concept. This research aims to provide a comprehensive view of the relationship between the AYCE concept in the light of Islamic law.

Global phenomena highlight the increasing attention to entrepreneurship as a solution to reduce unemployment and promote sustainable economic growth (SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth). On a local level, vocational high school (SMK) graduates in Indonesia face the challenge of low entrepreneurial intention, which has the potential to exacerbate youth unemployment rates. This study aims to explore entrepreneurship learning strategies and the contribution of teacher behavior in shaping the entrepreneurial intentions of SMK students through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The novelty of this research lies in integrating two key elements—innovative learning strategies and teacher behavior as role models—which have been minimally discussed in previous literature. The urgency of this research stems from its contribution to SDG 4 (Quality Education), by strengthening entrepreneurship education as a foundation for developing a competitive workforce. The method employed in this study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which involves collecting and analyzing relevant journal articles using VOSviewer software based on selected keywords. The findings indicate that project-based and collaborative learning approaches enable students to directly experience real-world business challenges, such as developing business ideas and working in teams to solve practical problems. Teacher behavior, serving as both facilitator and motivator, plays a crucial role in encouraging students to dream big, believe in their abilities, and view entrepreneurship as an attractive career path. The implications of this research provide practical insights for educators and policymakers in designing effective entrepreneurship curricula while supporting the SDG agenda, particularly in promoting quality education, decent work, and inclusive economic growth. This study contributes to the reinforcement of sustainable entrepreneurship education in Indonesia.

Islamic economics in Indonesia has significant potential to build a just and sustainable economic system. This research aims to examine the development of Islamic economics in Indonesia, with a focus on the challenges and opportunities faced. Using literature analysis methods, this research explores the progress of the Islamic finance sector, the influence of the thoughts of figures such as Monzer Kahf and M. Umer Chapra, as well as the application of the main principles of Islamic economics. The results of the study show that although the Islamic economic sector has developed rapidly since the founding of Bank Muamalat in 1992, there are still a number of obstacles, such as low public understanding of sharia finance, regulations that are not yet optimal, and a lack of experts in this field. However, great opportunities are seen in the development of the halal industrial sector, integration of sharia- based financial technology, and government policy support. The main principles of Islamic economics, such as the oneness of God (tauhid), social justice, and the prohibition of usury, are important guidelines in facing modern economic challenges. The thoughts of figures such as Kahf and Chapra strengthen Islamic economic practices, especially in sharia financial management and fair distribution of wealth. With policy reform, improved education, and innovation in sharia financial products, the Islamic economy in Indonesia can develop into one of the main pillars of inclusive economic development and support the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs).

This research aims to analyze the implementation and effectiveness of the women's quota in the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of DKI Jakarta Province during the 2014-2024 period. The women's quota is an affirmative policy designed to increase women's representation in the legislature, regulated by Indonesia's electoral law. Although this policy has been implemented, there are still various challenges that hinder women's participation in politics, including cultural, social, and structural barriers. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with Deputy Chairman of DPRD , Legislative Candidate, Academics , Sociologist and Law/ Political observers, as well as analysis of official documents and related reports. The results show that despite an increase in the number of women in the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD ) of DKI Jakarta Province , the women's quota has not fully achieved its goals. Some of the factors that affect the effectiveness of this quota include the lack of support from political parties, strong gender stereotypes, and obstacles in the recruitment and selection process of female candidates. This research also found that the existence of women's quotas alone is not enough to increase women's participation in politics. Further efforts are needed, including political education for women, capacity building for female legislator candidates, and reforms in the political party system to support greater involvement of women. In conclusion, the women's quota in the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of DKI Jakarta Province still faces various challenges in its implementation, and additional strategies are needed to overcome these obstacles in order to achieve more equitable and inclusive representation.
