Background: Adolescent development includes physical, social, emotional, cognitive and psychosocial. Adolescents are easily emotional, enjoy challenging things, act impulsively, pay little attention to personal safety so there is a risk of physical injury and falls, which can result in fractures. Fracture treatment is surgery. The impact of surgery is pain, pain management can be done by playing fidget spinner therapy. A fidget spinner is a toy that rotates between two fingers, in the shape of a propeller with a ball bearing in the middle, creating a stunning rotating pattern, unique design, attracting children and reducing pain. Objective: Fidget spinner play therapy is applied to reduce pain intensity in children aged 13-18 years. Method: The research method is a case study with 3 respondents who experienced post-operative fractures using a fidget spinner and the Wong Baker pain scale. Results: The results for respondents 1, 2 and 3 showed a decrease in pain intensity, the average pre test for respondent 1 had pain 4 and the average post test pain was 3. Respondent 2 had an average pre test pain scale of 4 and post test pain scale 2. For respondent 3, the average pre test pain scale was 5 and post test 3. Conclusion: The application of fidget spinner play therapy is effective in reducing pain in children with post-operative fractures. Suggestion: This application is expected to be used in nursing care for children with post-operative fractures on the second day.

One of the health issues that can lead to significant consequences, including heart disease and organ damage, is hypertension. For hypertensive patients, non-pharmacological treatments such as progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) offer an alternative to reduce discomfort and blood pressure. This study uses a quantitative methodology and a quasi-experimental design. For two weeks, 66 hypertensive patients from Puskesmas Bangetayu Semarang participated in the ROP intervention. The T-Test and Wilcoxon statistical tests were used to measure blood pressure and pain levels before and after the intervention. According to the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), ROP therapy reduced pain from 2.68 to 1.76 and systolic blood pressure from an average of 150.15 mmHg to 133.64 mmHg. With a p-value of less than 0.05, statistical analysis revealed a significant difference. It has been proven that progressive muscle relaxation helps hypertensive individuals with their pain and blood pressure. This approach can be used both independently and in healthcare settings as a simple and safe non-pharmacological treatment. the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on pain and blood pressure in hypertensive patients

Labor pain is a complex experience, with 65-80% of mothers in Indonesia experiencing severe pain during childbirth, requiring effective management. The SP6 (Sanyinjiao) acupressure technique offers a non-pharmacological, easy-to-apply, and safe alternative with minimal side effects for reducing labor pain. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of SP6 acupressure on labor pain in mothers giving birth at the Obstetrics Emergency Room of Tidore Islands City Hospital. A quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test approach was used. The sample included 30 mothers in the active phase of labor (4-7 cm dilation), with singleton pregnancies and gestational ages of 37-42 weeks, selected through purposive sampling. The intervention involved applying acupressure at the SP6 point for 20 minutes with moderate pressure. Pain intensity was measured before and after the intervention using a Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) from 0-10. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed a significant decrease in pain intensity (p = 0.000), with 50% of participants reporting moderate pain post-intervention, and no participants experiencing uncontrolled severe pain. In conclusion, SP6 acupressure significantly reduced labor pain intensity and can be recommended as an effective, safe, and easy-to-apply method for managing labor pain.

Background: Vertigo is a group of symptoms caused by a disturbance in the balance of the vestibular or central nervous system. Complaints of vertigo can come in the form of nausea, dizziness, spinning, or a feeling of being pulled or drawn in an upright position. Dizziness can also be caused by disturbances in the body's balance organs, including receptors in the eye (retina), in the vestibular and semicircular canals, as well as in tendons, joints, and internal sense organs. Objective: Identifying the characteristics of respondents including age, gender, and measuring the scale of moderate, mild and severe symptoms after performing brandt daroff combination therapy accompanied by lemon aromatherapy. Methods: Pre-experiment research design with one group pretest and post test design with purposive sampling technique, a total of 14 respondents with observation sheet instruments. Results: Based on the analysis, the average number of vertigo complaints experienced by respondents was a score of 32.9. After the respondents were given Brandt Deroff therapy accompanied by lemon, the level of vertigo headache decreased to a score of 1.50. wilcoxon test showed a significance value.2 marked 0.001 <0.05, also Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Conclusion: So it can be concluded that there is an average difference between the results of therapy before (pre-test) and after (post-test) which means that there is an effect of Brandt Daroff treatment accompanied by lemon aromatherapy on reducing the pain scale of vertigo patients in cases at RSI Sultan Agung Semarang.

Background:Gastritis is an inflammation of the stomach wall caused by irritation of the gastric mucosa. Gastritis caused by bacterial infections such as Helicobacteri pylory and irritant foods and drinks. The problem posed is acute pain. Nursing interventions to address this problem are pain management. Objective: This case study aims to describe the implementation of nursing pain management in gastritis patients with acute pain. Method: This case study design is a descriptive design in the form of a case study with a nursing care process approach. The case study subjects were 4 patients in the emergency room with the criteria of experiencing gastritis with problems acute pain. This case study was conducted at Muhammadiyah Palembang Hospital on March 16- 23, 2023. The nursing implementation provided was in the form of warm compress and deep breath relaxation to reduce pain in gastritis patients, in patient 1 before the implementation of the pain scale was 5 and fell to 3, the second patient initially had a pain scale of 4 decreasing to 2, in patient 3 the initial scale of 5 was reduced to a scale of 2, and finally patient 4 before the technique was carried out. out the pain scale in patients is 5 after being carried out down to a scale of 3. Using data collection techniques by means of observation, and interviews. Results: The research results describe the need for implementation of pain management (warm compress and deep breath relaxation) to reduce pain in gastritis patients from a moderate pain scale to a mild pain scale.Conclusion:There is an influence in implementing pain management on acute pain in gastritis patients.

Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disease.. This system attacks joints and other parts of the body such as tendons, ligaments, and bones. One implementation of reducing rheumatoid arthritis pain is to massage the feet of the painful joints. This study used a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study was 48 people and the research sample was 20 people with two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The results of the study were obtained after rheumatoid arthritis foot massage had a significant effect in reducing pain in the experimental group with a p-value of 0.007. Foot massage on painful joints has benefits in reducing the pain scale in the elderly.

High uric acid which causes joint pain is a disease where there is a buildup of purine which causes the joints to become inflamed to the point of swelling. Gout which occurs in people of course when they have a disease that causes gout they will undergo medical treatment to reduce uric acid levels and the pain that occurs in the elderly due to high levels. And most people assume that by taking medication they assume that the pain will disappear, according to Ilham (2019) that to reduce joint pain you can do ginger compress therapy on the joint pain, because the spicy effect of ginger can reduce pain in the joints. Objective: To determine the effect of ginger compress therapy on the level of joint pain in the elderly. Method: The design in this research uses a quasi-experiment using a one group pretest posttest design approach. Results: based on the results of statistical tests using the Paired Samples Test, the resulting P value is 0.000 < 0.05. Conclusion: it can be concluded that there is an influence of ginger compress therapy on the level of joint pain in the elderly in the working area of ??the Central Jampang Community Health Center. Suggestion: It is recommended for future researchers to measure the influence of respondent characteristics such as age, gender, education level, length of time suffering from joint pain, type of work and type of medication used.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disorder, is characterized by persistent synovial inflammation, erosion of bone and cartilage, leading to joint destruction. It can attack the joints and other parts of the body such as tendons, ligaments, and bones.  In serious cases, it can affect other organs such as the lungs, heart, nervous system, and eyes. Foot massage is effective to reduce pain. Before implementation of foot massage, the average pain scale was 6 (moderate pain). After implementation of foot massage  the pain scale decreased to 2 (mild pain). Through empowering the elderly, the elderly are taught and assisted in performing safe and effective foot massage techniques to reduce pain, improve blood circulation, and reduce joint stiffness due to rheumatoid arthritis. The conclusion of this community service activity shows that the use of foot massage is effective for patients with rheumatoid arthritis who experience pain.

Back pain is a disorder that is often encountered in pregnant women, this is caused by the shift of gravity towards the body's core towards the front. The aim of the research was to determine the relationship between pregnancy exercise and complaints of low back pain in pregnant women III at the Birem Bayuen Community Health Center. This research uses an experimental research design. The sample for this study was all pregnant women in the third trimester at the Birem Bayuem Community Health Center who were included. The results of this study were lower back discomfort in pregnant women before pregnancy activities, more than half of respondents reported low back pain on a scale of 3 (very painful). Most respondents reported reduced back pain, as many as 7 respondents reported no pain. This is lower back pain in pregnant women III after pregnancy exercise. Through this research, pregnant women understand the benefits of pregnancy exercise during pregnancy, especially during the third trimester of pregnancy, which has a very good impact so that mothers feel comfort and reduce complaints during pregnancy, such as lower back pain in particular

One of the cardiovascular diseases that can cause death is Unstable Angina Pectoris (UAP) Benson relaxation is a passive relaxation technique without using muscle tension so it is very appropriate to reduce pain. Benson relaxation is a development of the relaxation response method by involving the patient's belief factor, which can create a calm internal environment that can help patients achieve higher health and well-being. Method:Descriptive method in the form of case studies. Nursing care approach consisting of from assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation nursing. The subject of this study was one person. Results:Benson relaxation is a passive relaxation technique without using muscle tension so it is very appropriate to reduce pain. Conclusion: Benson Relaxation therapy in patients with Unstable Angina Pectoris (UAP) was carried out for 3 days. It was found that there was a decrease in the pain scale. This is evidenced by the results of the evaluation on the first day, March 1, 2024, the pain scale was 7 to 7. The second day, March 2, 2024, the pain scale was 7 to 5. The third day, March 3, 2024, the pain scale was 5 to 3.

As the elderly age, there are changes in physical changes that affect all systems, including the musculoskletal system. One of the daily health problems that often interfere with Activity of Daily Living in the elderly is low back pain (LBP)./1. This study aims to determine the relationship between LBP pain levels and ADL in elderly women in the Padang Kandis Health Center working area, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This study is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used consecutive sampling technique with a total sample of 45 samples. Data collection using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) questionnaire, LBP, Katz Basic Activities Of Daily Living Scale (Index Katz). Data analysis using the Pearson Chi-Square test. The results of the Chi-Square test obtained a significant value (p-value) of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The p-value is smaller than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05), so the test decision is Ha accepted, which means “there is a relationship between the level of LBP pain and ADL in the elderly in the Padang Kandis Health Center working area, Guguak District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra Province”. This study shows that there is a relationship between the level of LBP pain and ADL.

Hypertension in the elderly is characterized by an increase in systolic and diastolic blood pressure, namely ≥ 140/90 mmHg consistently and often occurs in the elderly aged ≥ 55 years. Progressive Muscle Relaxation is a technique that can relax tense muscles and create a relaxed feeling so that it can lower blood pressure. This study aims to determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on reducing the pain scale in middle-aged elderly with hypertension in the Siulak Gedang Health Center work area in 2024. The research design used was one group pretest and post-test design with a purposive sampling method, namely 16 middle-aged elderly respondents in the Siulak Gedang Health Center work area. The instruments used in data collection were SOP, observation sheets, stethoscopes, sphygmomanometers. The results of the study showed that there was an effect of progressive muscle relaxation therapy on reducing the pain scale in hypertensive patients with the results of the paired sample t-test obtained a p-value = 0.000, because the p-value <0.05.

Childbirth is often perceived as frightening and causing extreme pain. Some mothers also feel traumatized by their first childbirth process because of various difficulties and pain during childbirth so that they are reluctant to plan to have children again. Labor pain is caused by uterine contractions and dilation of the cervix and lower uterine segment. Survey data from PMB Restu Bunda in 2024 on 5 mothers who gave birth, it was found that overall respondents experienced pain, as many as 3 people with a pain scale of 7 (severe pain) and as many as 2 people with a pain scale of 6 (moderate pain). One non-pharmacological therapy that can reduce the intensity of pain is back massage using Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). The research objective was to determine the effect of back massage with Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) on the intensity of active labor pain in the first stage of labor at the IMP Restu Bunda Gunung Terang Sub-District of West Tulang Bawang Regency. The quantitative research type is a pre-experimental design, one group pre-test - post-test design. The population in this study were all mothers who were going to give birth, as many as 22 mothers, with a sample of 18 people taken by accidental sampling. The study was conducted at the IMP Restu Bunda of Gunung Terang Sub-District West Tulang Bawang Regency. Data collection used observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out using univariate and bivariate tests (Wilcoxon test). The study results showed that the average labor pain before being given a back massage with virgin coconut oil (VCO) was 7.0 and after being given a back massage with virgin coconut oil (VCO) was 5.2. There was an influence of back massage with virgin coconut oil (VCO) on the intensity of active labor pain in the first stage at the IMP Restu Bunda of Gunung Terang Sub-District of West Tulang Bawang Regency with a p-value = 0.001 (p-value <α = 0.05). Suggestions for health workers can recommend back massage with virgin coconut oil (VCO) can be used as complementary therapy for mothers in the first stage of labor.

During pregnancy, a woman must be able to adapt to various physical changes that often occur and can cause uncomfortable conditions, such as back pain which begins to be felt in the second and third trimesters. If this condition is not treated immediately, it can cause anxiety and disruption to the pregnant woman's activities. As a way to reduce complaints of back pain, pregnant women can do prenatal gentle yoga exercises. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of prenatal yoga in reducing pain in the lower back of pregnant women at the Ngletih Community Health Center, Kediri City. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of prenatal yoga in reducing pain in the lower back of pregnant women at the Ngletih Community Health Center, Kediri City. Research method: This research adopted a quantitative design with a Pre-Experimental design, using the One Group Pretest-Posttest method. The sample of pregnant women in the second and third trimesters was 31 respondents. The sampling method involved Total Sampling and the use of a pain level measuring tool with the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), while data analysis used the Wilcoxon Test. Research Results: Before carrying out prenatal yoga exercises, the majority of pregnant women felt lower back pain on a mild scale, the number of respondents was 17 (54.8%). After doing prenatal yoga exercises twice in 2 weeks, the majority of pregnant women no longer felt back pain, the number of respondents was 18 pregnant women (58%). The p-value of the analysis using the Wilcoxon test is 0.000.

Childbirth is a natural way that every mother must go through where the results of conception in the form of a baby and placenta are released from the uterus. Normal labor is characterized by uterine contractions that cause thinning, dilation of the cervix and push the fetus out through the birth canal, causing a sensation of pain felt by the mother. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an Effect of Murrotal Al-Qur'an Therapy on Reducing the Intensity of Labor Pain in the First Active Phase at the Juliana Dalimunthe Clinic. The research method used was Pre-Experiment One Group Pre and Posttest Design. Samples were taken by Accidental Sampling from mothers in the first active phase of labor who met the inclusion criteria totaling 30 people. Data collection was carried out using a face pain rating scale questionnaire. Data analysis with the Shapiro Wilk test and tested with the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test statistical test. The results of the study conducted from May to July, found the average pain scale before therapy was 6.83 and the average after therapy was 6.17, the decrease in pain scale from before to after Murottal therapy was 0.66. From the statistical test, the P value = 0.001 was obtained, indicating that there was an effect of Murottal Al-Qur'an therapy on reducing the intensity of labor pain. The conclusion of this study is that the provision of Murottal Al-Qur'an therapy has been proven to be able to reduce labor pain in the first active phase. It is hoped that the provision of Murottal Al-Qur'an therapy will be an alternative intervention in reducing labor pain in the first active phase.

Primary dysmenorrhoea is a reproductive health problem that is often experienced by adolescent girls. Primary dysmenorrhoea causes discomfort (pain) and other problems. If not treated immediately, it will interfere with learning, daily activities, and school performance. Efforts to treat primary dysmenorrhoea that can be done nonpharmacologically using SEFT therapy. This therapy combines spiritual, physical, and psychological. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of SEFT therapy on primary dysmenorrhoea pain in adolescent girls. The method used was quasi experiment with non-equivalent control group design approach. Samples were selected using purposive sampling as many as 32 adolescents who were divided into intervention groups and control groups. The instruments used were pictorial SEFT therapy procedure, observation sheet, and Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Data analysis used paired t-test and independent t-test. The results of the analysis showed a decrease in the pain scale in the intervention group with an average of 5.87 to 2.37 and bivariate analysis with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05). So it can be concluded that there is an effect of SEFT therapy on primary dysmenorrhoea pain in adolescent girls.

This research is a comprehensive midwifery care case study on Mrs. K from pregnancy to postpartum family planning conducted at the PMB Okta Saprina, S.Tr.Keb and Mrs. K's home from October-December 2023. The assessment during pregnancy found complaints of frequent urination which were addressed by counseling on reducing drinking at night. During labor, Mrs. K experienced severe pain on a scale of 8, which was reduced to moderate pain on a scale of 5 after being given lavender aromatherapy. Labor care stages I-IV were normal according to theory and without complications. The baby was born spontaneously, full-term, without complications. During the postpartum period, Mrs. K experienced breast engorgement which was treated with aloe vera compresses for 7 days until the complaint was resolved. Care for the newborn and postpartum period was according to standards. At 42 days postpartum, Mrs. K chose to use 3-month injectable contraception after being screened with the KLOP wheel. The management provided to Mrs. K was in accordance with evidence-based practice in providing comprehensive midwifery care, namely counseling for frequent urination, lavender aromatherapy for labor pain, and aloe vera compresses for breast engorgement with satisfactory results.

The prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis in the world has doubled. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of giving lemongrass compresses on rheumatoid arthritis pain in the elderly in the Kuta Baro Health Center Working Area, Aceh Besar Regency. This research method uses a quasi-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest approach with a population of 317 people and a sample size of 15 people, the sampling technique is purposive sampling. This research was conducted from 30 May to 6 June 2024 using univariate and bivariate analysis using the Paired T test. The results of the study showed that before being given the lemongrass warm compress the average pain level of the respondents was 4.60, whereas after being given the lemongrass warm compress the average pain level was 2.53 with a decrease of 2.067 with a ρ value of 0.000, meaning there was a relationship with the lemongrass warm compress with rheumatoid arthritis pain in the elderly. The conclusion is that there is an effect of warm lemongrass compresses on rheumatoid arthritis pain in the elderly because warm lemongrass compresses have a positive impact on reducing rheumatoid arthritis pain in the elderly. It is hoped that rheumatoid arthritis sufferers will carry out non-pharmacological therapy using lemongrass if their pain scale is still in the mild and moderate category.

Dysmenorrhea is a gynecological complaint caused by an imbalance of the hormone progesterone in the blood, resulting in pain during menstruation which often occurs in women. One effort to treat menstrual pain is non-pharmacological therapy with endhorpine massage. The aim of the research was to analyze the effect of endorpine massage on dysmenorrhoea in young women at SMA Takwa Palembang. The research method uses quasi-experimental one group pretest and posttest. The population is all class X female students. The total sample was 28 people taken using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) which was measured before after the endorphin massage. Results: The average pain scale before endorpine massage was 4.83 (moderate pain) with a maximum value of 6 and a minimum value of 4. In the second measurement, the average pain scale was 2.61 (mild pain) with a maximum value of 4 and a minimum of 2. Results paired t test obtained α 0.022 < 0.05. Conclusion: There is an effect of endorphin massage on dysmenorrhoea in young women at SMA Takwa Palembang. It is hoped that related parties will develop complementary therapies to treat menstrual pain in adolescents through education.

Background: Surgical procedures can be a potential or actual threat to a person's integrity that can evoke physiological and psychological reactions. Based on WHO 2022, patients with surgery are recorded at 234 million people. The problem caused by surgery or surgery is pain. Pain management can be done by pharmacological or non-pharmacological methods. The application of dhikr therapy can be used as a non-pharmacological therapy to be combined with pharmacological therapy so that person's pain scale can be further reduced. Objective: Describe results the implementation of dhikr therapy on post-operative patients at RSUD Bagas Waras Klaten. Method: Application of Dhikr Therapy to the Pain Scale in Post-operative Patients with descriptive method was carried out for 3 days in 1 day there were 2 sessions with each session 10 minutes and interval between each session was given 2 hours. Results: There was decrease in the pain scale in 2 post-operative patients, after applying dhikr therapy for 3 days from a controlled severe pain scale to mild pain scale. Conclusion: The results the application of Dhikr Therapy for 3 consecutive days can reduce the pain scale in post-operative patients at RSUD Bagas Waras Klaten.
