This study examines participatory leadership styles and their influence on organizational innovation in state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in Indonesia. Participative leadership involves subordinates actively in the decision-making process, which contributes to increased motivation, productivity, and individual performance within the organization. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study explores the concepts and practices of leadership and innovation applied in SOEs. The results show that participatory leadership not only increases employee engagement but also creates a collaborative and innovative work environment. By involving different generations in decision-making, leaders can leverage the experience of senior generations and fresh ideas from younger generations, thereby encouraging more creative and relevant innovation. The implications of this research indicate that the application of a participatory leadership style is very important for SOEs to strengthen their competitiveness, adapt to market changes, and make a significant contribution to national development. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital transformation and work environment on employee performance at the Energy and Mineral Resources Office of East Kalimantan Province. Digital transformation is a crucial element in promoting bureaucratic efficiency and public service quality, while a conducive work environment plays a vital role in enhancing employee motivation and productivity. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey method with a census of 68 employees. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 22. The results show that both digital transformation (t = 4.401; sig. = 0.000) and work environment (t = 2.126; sig. = 0.037) have a positive and significant partial effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, the variables also have a significant influence (F = 114.254; sig. = 0.000). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.780) indicates that 78% of the variation in employee performance is explained by these two factors. These findings emphasize the importance of implementing effective digital systems and creating a supportive work environment to optimize bureaucratic performance in the public sector

The rapid development of information technology and increasing global competition require companies to continuously improve human resource performance. One effort that can be done is by paying attention to the workload received by employees and the compensation system provided. The background of this study is based on the declining trend of employee performance in the last three years, which indicates that performance is not yet fully optimal. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 50 respondents working in various divisions. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 25. The results of the study indicate that workload and compensation simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 59.5%. The results show that: 1). Workload has a negative and significant effect on Employee Performance, 2). Compensation has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. These findings indicate that employee performance can be improved through a balanced distribution of workload and the provision of appropriate and fair compensation. Transformational leadership is an important paradigm in strengthening modern governance that is oriented towards innovation, accountability, and public service. This research aims to examine the concepts, roles, and challenges of transformational leadership in the context of the Indonesian public sector through a literature study approach. The study was conducted on 15 open academic sources relevant to digital bureaucratic issues, apparatus work motivation, and organizational reform. The results of the study show that transformational leadership is able to increase performance effectiveness, strengthen employee commitment, and accelerate the digital transformation of the bureaucracy through an inspiring vision, intellectual stimulation, and individual attention to subordinates. In addition, this leadership contributes to the formation of a collaborative work culture and the improvement of public service innovations that are adaptive to the needs of the community. However, its implementation still faces structural obstacles, such as hierarchical culture, resistance to change, weak digital competence of the apparatus, and limited policy and human resource support. Therefore, a strong integration between transformational values, adaptive leadership competencies, and good governance principles is needed to drive sustainable and performance-oriented bureaucratic change that is superior to public performance.

Burnout is a psychological issue often faced by Civil Servants (ASN) due to demanding job responsibilities, negatively impacting performance, motivation, job satisfaction, and productivity. Excessive workload is a primary factor contributing to burnout, making it essential to examine their relationship in the governmental context. This study investigates the perception of workload and the level of burnout among civil servants at the National Unity and Political Agency (Kesbangpol) of Jambi Province. Using a quantitative correlational approach, the study involved 65 civil servants selected through purposive sampling. Data were gathered through an online questionnaire consisting of a workload perception scale (30 items) and a burnout scale (22 items). The Pearson Product Moment correlation test with SPSS software was used for data analysis. Descriptive results showed that most respondents reported moderate to high levels for both variables. A correlation coefficient of r = 0.503 with a significance level of p = 0.001 (p < 0.05) indicates a significant positive relationship between workload perception and burnout. This suggests that higher perceived workload increases the likelihood of experiencing burnout. To reduce burnout and maintain optimal performance, balanced workload management, social support, and stress management strategies are essential for civil servants.
