This study discusses the application of the fiduciary duty doctrine in Indonesian corporate law and its relationship to the legal liability of the President Director in Decision Number 80/Pid.Sus-TPK/2024/PN.Jkt.Pst in the case of PT Timah Tbk. This study uses a normative juridicial method with a statutory regulatory approach and a case approach, namely by examining law Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies and relevant court decisions. The results of the study indicate that fiduciary duty is a basic obligation that must be carried out by directors in managing the company, which includes good faith, prudence, and loyalty to the interest of the company. However, in the case of PT Timah Tbk, the former President Direktor was proven not to have carried out these obligations properly. This is seen from the abuse of office, involvement in illegal mining practices, and the formation of shell companies that ultimately resulted in state losses. Violations of these principles not only have an impact on civil aspects, but also have criminal consequences. Therefore, strengthening the principles of fiduciary duty and Good Corporate Governance is very necessary to increase the accountability of directors.

This research is prompted by the unique narrative of Rahab, a Canaanite woman who occupies a critical theological position in Israel’s history of salvation despite her status as an outsider to the chosen people. The primary focus of this study is to explore the dimensions of Rahab’s faith and God’s sovereignty as recorded in Joshua 2:1-12. This study aims to analyze how the confession of faith from a marginalized individual aligns with God's sovereign plan and to determine the relevance of these values for contemporary Christian witness. The method employed is a qualitative approach utilizing library research and exegetical analysis of the text in Joshua 2:1-12. The findings indicate that Rahab's faith was not merely an act of self-preservation but a theological response to the formidable power of God that transcends ethnic boundaries and social status. God's sovereignty is proven capable of working through unexpected subjects to fulfill His divine purpose. The implications of this research assert that modern Christian witness must be inclusive and transformative, where the courage to declare God's truth amidst threatening situations constitutes a tangible form of living faith. The church is called to perceive God's sovereignty as the fundamental basis for mission and witness, unrestricted by social or cultural exclusivity.

The development of globalization, digital technology, and social change has influenced the way young people understand and live out their faith. Secularism tends to place religion in the private sphere, so that religious values do not always become the basis for decision-making in daily life. This study aims to analyze the challenges of secularism to the formation of the identity of Catholic youth in the modern era and to formulate relevant religious education responses in addressing these dynamics. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method that examines various scientific literature, Church documents, and research findings related to the phenomenon of secularism and the formation of the religious identity of Catholic youth. The results of the study indicate that secularism has a complex impact on the faith life of young people, including decreased participation in Church activities, the emergence of individualistic attitudes, and the tendency to view religion merely as a formal identity. However, on the other hand, the modern era also opens opportunities for young people to develop their faith creatively through the use of digital technology and involvement in faith communities. Therefore, Catholic religious education and pastoral accompaniment that are dialogical, contextual, and participatory are very important in helping Catholic youth integrate their faith into daily life. This study is expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions for educators and pastoral ministers in fostering the faith identity of Catholic youth in modern society.

Texts depicting violence in the Old Testament, particularly Joshua 6:1–27, are often cited as evidence that the Bible legitimizes divine violence and genocide. This study aims to analyze the narrative of the conquest of Jericho through a historical-critical approach by integrating narrative structure analysis, historical-religious context, and a conceptual study of herem. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative approach that situates the text within the context of the Ancient Near East. The results of the study indicate that Joshua 6 is a systematically constructed theological narrative intended to affirm YHWH’s sovereignty as the Warrior-God and His faithfulness to the covenant with Israel. The concept of herem does not merely signify annihilation but functions as a mechanism for the sanctification of the people and the affirmation of covenantal identity in the face of the threat of syncretism. Furthermore, the use of war language in this text reflects the hyperbolic rhetoric characteristic of ancient literature, and thus cannot be read literally as a legitimization of modern violence. Consequently, a historical-critical reading affirms that this narrative is not a justification for genocide, but rather a theological construction that serves to shape the identity of faith and the understanding of God’s holiness and sovereignty in the history of Israel.

This study is grounded in the observation that the implementation of an efficient, simple, and low-cost judicial process in civil cases remains ineffective, particularly in relation to mediation as a dispute resolution mechanism. Although mediation has been incorporated into judicial proceedings with the aim of expediting case resolution, simplifying procedural stages, and reducing litigation costs for the parties, these objectives have not been fully realized in practice. This research seeks to examine the extent to which mediation in civil litigation effectively contributes to the realization of an efficient, straightforward, and affordable justice system. In addition, it aims to identify the factors that influence both the success and failure of the mediation process. The study employs a normative legal research method, utilizing statutory and conceptual approaches. The research is conducted through a literature review of primary and secondary legal materials. The findings indicate that the implementation of mediation in civil courts has not yet reached an optimal level. This is reflected in the relatively low success rate of dispute resolution through mediation, as well as the tendency for mediation to be treated merely as a procedural formality. Several contributing factors include the lack of good faith from the parties, limited time allocated for mediation, and the suboptimal role of mediators.

This study aims to examine the message of repentance in Jonah 3:1-10 through an interpretive analysis focusing on the manifestation of God's mercy toward non-Israelite nations. The background of this study is rooted in the theological tension between Israel's exclusivism and the universality of God's love reaching Nineveh, a nation notorious for its cruelty. The method used is qualitative with a historical-grammatical exegesis approach to uncover the meaning of the text in its original context. The research results show that Nineveh's repentance was a radical response to the warning of judgment, involving all elements of society from the common people to political authorities. This phenomenon proves that the primary purpose of God's prophecy of judgment is not destruction, but the transformation of human behavior. This analysis confirms that God's mercy is sovereign and transcends ethnic or geographical boundaries. The implications of this research emphasize the importance for modern faith communities to adopt an inclusive attitude and understand that the sovereignty of God's love cannot be limited by human prejudice against groups perceived as strangers or enemies

The importance of education as a foundation for developing an intelligent and qualified generation, with an emphasis on Islamic religious education as a tool for shaping students' character and morals. Islamic religious education, particularly in the study of faith and morals, emphasizes ethical values such as caring and honesty. With the challenges in education becoming increasingly complex, one example is that many educators are unable to utilize learning media in today's advanced technology. One proposed solution is the use of the digital platform Kahoot, which has been proven to attract student interest in learning faith and morals, overcoming the boredom often encountered with traditional methods, such as lectures. It is emphasized that schools need adequate facilities and strategies for using gadgets to enhance students' learning experiences. The quantitative method used in this study is a pre-experimental study. In this study, the researcher used the one-group pretest and posttest design model. Based on the research results, there was a pretest score with a mean of 93.46, a median of 95, and a mode of 95. The posttest score had a mean of 84.62, a median of 90, and a mode of 100. The sig. (2-tailed) table showed 0.002 with a research alpha of 5% or 0.005. It can be concluded that there is no effect because 0.002 < 0.005. Therefore, H1 is rejected. Therefore, there is no effect of using the Kahoot application on the subject of faith and morals on improving student learning outcomes at MAS Tarbiyah Islamiyah.

This study explores the dynamics of children’s character formation within Christian families in the digital era from the perspective of church parents. Employing a descriptive light mixed-methods design, the study integrates survey data and semi-structured interviews to obtain both quantitative and qualitative insights. The findings indicate that digital media has become an integral and unavoidable part of family life, making children’s character formation highly dependent on parental guidance, reflective communication, and consistent faith-based education at home. Parents face various challenges related to time constraints, limited digital literacy, and the increasing exposure of children to external values that may not align with Christian teachings. At the same time, many parents actively utilize technology as a supportive and accessible tool for spiritual learning and moral development. The study concludes that character formation is shaped not merely by technology itself but more significantly by the quality of family relationships and parental role modeling grounded in Christian values. Therefore, the findings recommend strengthening faith-based digital literacy among parents and enhancing church–family collaboration to foster more holistic, balanced, and sustainable character development in children.

This paper explores the role of Mary as a model of salvation in Catholic faith, focusing on the understanding of Mariology within the cultural context of the Ende-Lio people in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. Mary is regarded not only as the Mother of Jesus Christ but also as an example of faith marked by humility, obedience, and hope. Her humility and willingness to accept God’s will, especially in the Annunciation, serve as a concrete inspiration for Catholics to respond faithfully to God’s call. Within the Ende-Lio culture, which values loyalty, solidarity, respect for ancestors, and harmony with nature, Mary becomes a figure closely connected to daily life. Devotions such as the rosary, pilgrimages to Marian grottoes, and the celebration of the Marian months highlight Mary’s living presence in both the faith and cultural traditions of the community. Thus, Mary serves as a bridge between the Gospel and local culture, revealing a Church that is rooted in its own soil yet remains faithful to Christ. This reflection affirms that contextual faith is a living faith deeply rooted in local culture while open to the saving work of God.

This theological research explores Mary’s essential role in the narrative of salvation and her deep connection with the Church, as outlined in key Catholic documents like Lumen Gentium and Redemptoris Mater. Using a qualitative approach that combines descriptive and analytical methods, the study reviews Church teachings, Scripture, and theological literature. It highlights Mary’s pivotal status as Mother of God (Theotokos) a title affirmed by the Council of Ephesus in 431 CE, which underscores both Christ’s divinity and Mary’s unique participation in God’s redemptive plan. The study traces the theological roots of this title through biblical texts, portraying Mary as the chosen vessel through whom the Word became incarnate. It examines how Old Testament prophecies about Mary are fulfilled in New Testament events, especially in the Annunciation and Elizabeth’s greeting of Mary as “the mother of my Lord.” The research also delves into Mary’s bond with the Church, focusing on her recognition as Mother of the Church by Pope Paul VI during the Second Vatican Council. Mary is presented as the ideal disciple, embodying unwavering faith, obedience, and humility in her acceptance of God’s will. Her presence at key moments, from the Incarnation to Pentecost, positions her as both a member and a model of the Church. Ultimately, the study concludes that Mary’s unity with the Church is reflected in her dual role as Mother of Christ and spiritual mother to all believers, offering a profound example of Christian virtues and guiding the faithful in their collective journey toward salvation.

This article examines the pastoral phenomenon among the faithful, who firmly believe in the truth and infallibility of the Scriptures without feeling the need to interpret or explain the texts themselves. Based on limited interviews conducted, this study finds that this phenomenon does not arise from a lack of faith but rather from the Church’s teaching that emphasizes the authority of the Scriptures without allowing space for personal interpretation. The results of these interviews are combined with patristic sources and modern theological discussions to delve deeper into the integration of the truth of the Scriptures into the daily practice of the faithful. A tendency toward clerical interpretation has been found to hinder the sensus fidei, or the communal sense of faith, leading to an exaggerated fear of possibly misinterpreting the Scriptures. Therefore, an inclusive pastoral approach is needed, including through digital and catechetical media, to encourage the faithful to engage with the Scriptures within the bounds of ecclesiastical unity. This aims to ensure that the faith of the faithful is not only a matter of belief but is also practiced with true and comprehensive understanding.

This research aims to analyze the juridical mechanism and implementation of canceling unilateral actions by bankrupt debtors through the actio pauliana lawsuit, providing legal protection for creditors. Debtors often transfer assets before bankruptcy, reducing the value of the bankruptcy estate and harming creditors. Using a normative legal research method with statutory and conceptual approaches, this study explores the legal basis of Article 1341 of the Indonesian Civil Code, as elaborated by Articles 41 to 50 of Law Number 37 of 2004 concerning Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (UUKPKPU). The analysis shows that canceling unilateral actions, such as asset transfers, grants, or debt waivers, requires evidence of bad faith and awareness of potential losses by both debtors and third parties. This lawsuit serves as a claw-back provision to retrieve assets that were wrongfully removed from the bankruptcy estate, ensuring the pari passu pro rata parte principle. The main obstacle is proving the subjective element of "knowledge" and the conflict of interest with protecting third parties acting in good faith. In conclusion, strengthening the curator’s role and aligning the interpretation of commercial court judges is crucial to protect creditors' economic rights from manipulative actions by debtors.

The application of social interaction in social life in society is not always harmonious. What happened is a difference in thoughts, opinions, and desires between one person and another. This difference became the origin of dispute or conflict in society. This ultimately encouraged those who started out modern-minded to develop dispute resolution mechanisms from their simplest form to what is now called the judicial system, which refers to positive law and social norms or rules. By using normative juridical research methods, namely research through a case approach, because this study aims to determine the efforts to resolve and legal consequences in the Tuban District Court Decision No. 22/Pdt.G/2022/PN.Tbn which is associated with applicable legal regulations and theories. In principle, the conciliation process can only proceed if the parties of the conflict act in good faith. The agreement reached is actually the result of mutual agreement, so that the deed of peace has the same legal force as a court decision (verdict) that is final and binding, and all legal remedies against permanently binding conciliation decisions/notices have ended.

This study aims to examine the theological meaning of love for the poor in the apostolic exhortation Dilexi Te and to reflect on its relevance within the context of Indonesia’s pluralistic society. The research employs a qualitative method with a literature study approach, using Dilexi Te as the primary source, supported by relevant theological and social literature. The findings reveal that love for the poor in Dilexi Te is not merely a charitable act but constitutes the core of Christian faith, inseparable from one’s relationship with God. This love is integral, encompassing spiritual, moral, and structural dimensions, and calls for active engagement in promoting social justice and addressing the root causes of poverty. Theologically, solidarity with the poor is grounded in the mystery of Christ’s incarnation and the principle of the preferential option for the poor. In the Indonesian context of diversity, this teaching holds strong relevance as a foundation for fostering interreligious solidarity, strengthening social cohesion, and encouraging both the Church and society to work toward a more just, inclusive, and humane social order. Therefore, this study highlights that theological reflection on love for the poor is not merely normative but also carries concrete social implications in a pluralistic society.

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to product marketing and advertising patterns, particularly through social media platforms such as Instagram, which enable the rapid and wide dissemination of information. On the one hand, digitalization provides opportunities for business actors to promote their products in a more creative and interactive way. On the other hand, it also creates the potential for advertisements that may mislead consumers. In practice, there are still business actors who promote products that do not correspond to their actual conditions. Such misinformation can cause losses and raise issues related to consumer rights and the responsibilities of business actors. This study also analyzes dispute resolution related to misleading advertisements on social media. The method used is doctrinal legal research with a statutory approach (statute approach) and a case approach. The results of the study indicate that there are still advertising business actors who neglect consumers’ rights to truthful information about product conditions, and who fail to fulfill their obligations of good faith, providing accurate and honest information, and complying with standards stipulated in laws and regulations. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen supervision of the implementation of advertising ethics and enforce stricter law enforcement so that consumer rights can be protected and advertising practices on social media can be carried out responsibly.

This study examines the relationship between suffering in Job 1–21 and God's sovereignty in the Old Testament. The problem arises from the tension between the theology of retribution that links suffering to sin and the reality that the righteous can also suffer. Job is a key figure in understanding this theological dilemma. This study uses a qualitative method with a biblical exegetical approach through analysis of historical context, literary structure, and theological meaning. The primary data comes from the text of Job 1–21, supported by relevant theological literature. The analysis is conducted descriptively and analytically to find the relationship between suffering and God's sovereignty. The results show that Job's suffering is not a direct result of sin, but rather occurs within the scope of God's sovereignty that transcends human understanding. This text also critiques the rigid understanding of the theology of retribution and emphasizes that faith is rooted in trust, not merely rational understanding. Job's perseverance demonstrates that suffering can be a means of faith growth as well as a test that deepens humanity's relationship with God. This study emphasizes that suffering is part of God's sovereign plan and encourages believers to remain faithful and persevere amidst the uncertainties and struggles of life.

The diversity of students’ study motivations in theological higher education presents both challenges and opportunities in shaping the spirituality of prospective Christian Religious Education (CRE) teachers. Not all students enter the CRE program based on a calling to ministry, resulting in varying levels of initial spiritual readiness. This study aims to analyze the process of spiritual formation among CRE students as prospective teachers at STT Katharos Indonesia Bekasi in the context of diverse study motivations, referring to James W. Fowler’s theory of faith development. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving CRE students. The findings reveal that despite diverse initial motivations, the integrated theological education process through academic learning, ministry practices, community life, and spiritual formation effectively fosters faith growth and personal encounters with Christ. This process contributes to the development of students’ spiritual maturity. The study concludes that CRE education functions as an effective means of faith transformation in preparing prospective teachers with strong spiritual integrity and readiness for ministry.

Young people today live in a digital culture that makes social media the main space for communicating, forming identities, and finding meaning in life. In such situations, catechesis needs to adjust itself to remain relevant and able to reach them effectively. The use of social media opens up opportunities for the Church to present catechesis that is more interactive, visual, and contextual through various forms such as short videos, infographics, live broadcasts, and online discussions. A qualitative approach through literary studies and indirect observation shows that social media can increase the involvement of young people in faith formation because it is flexible and easily accessible. However, the use of social media also presents pastoral challenges, such as the potential for superficiality of content and a lack of deep appreciation of faith. Therefore, critical assistance and integration between digital catechesis and real community life are needed so that the faith of young people is sustained and strengthened in the life of the Church.

. The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes in various fields, including education and church life. This study aims to examine the dynamics of the formation of prospective catechists in facing the challenges of AI use at the IPI Malang Pastoral College. This study used a qualitative, descriptive approach, through observation and interviews with students as research subjects. The results show that the use of AI has become an integral part of the learning process, helping students understand material, develop academic skills, and enhance creativity in the pastoral field. However, the use of AI also poses challenges in the form of a tendency towards instantaneous attitudes and potential dependency that can hinder critical thinking skills and deep reflection on faith. In the context of pastoral education, the formation of prospective catechists emphasizes not only intellectual aspects but also spirituality, personality, and pastoral sensitivity. Therefore, the wise and proportional use of AI is necessary, while still positioning it as a supporting tool, not a substitute for human roles. The role of lecturers and educational institutions is crucial in guiding students to be able to use technology critically, reflectively, and responsibly. Thus, the integration of technology and faith values is expected to produce prospective catechists who are able to respond to the challenges of the times in a relevant and meaningful manner.
