This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of violence against children in Central Java, focusing on the dominance of sexual violence against girls and the failure of the domestic sphere as a safe environment. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using secondary data from SIMFONI-PPA, supported by relevant literature. The findings reveal that cases of violence against children fluctuate but remain consistently high each year. Girls are identified as the most vulnerable group, with a higher proportion of victims compared to boys. Sexual violence emerges as the most dominant form, indicating serious issues related to power relations, gender inequality, and weak social protection systems. Furthermore, the household, which is expected to be a safe space, is in fact the primary location of violence, with perpetrators largely coming from close relationships such as parents, partners, and the surrounding social environment. These findings highlight that violence against children is not merely an individual issue but a structural problem involving social, cultural, and power dynamics. Therefore, comprehensive child protection approaches that are family-based, gender-sensitive, and cross-sectoral are essential to break the cycle of violence sustainably.

Interpersonal communication is the main foundation in the process of communication and interaction in life, including in the context of caregivers and children with disabilities at orphanages, enabling the creation of emotional closeness, also known as bonding. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The results of this study illustrate that the interaction process between caregivers and children with disabilities occurs through interpersonal communication involving the use of verbal and nonverbal communication. In addition, emotional closeness through the communication process does not form immediately, but rather through stages leading to emotional closeness established in the interaction between caregivers and children with disabilities at the Bhakti Luhur Orphanage in Baumata Village. Nevertheless, in the interaction process, there are certainly obstacles that disrupt the effectiveness of communication and interaction, namely limitations in resources, learning challenges in interacting with children with special needs, and communication problems such as miscommunication. However, all of these can be overcome by caregivers who strive to become parental figures for children with disabilities through evaluation processes and intensive approaches with each child.

Bullying in the school environment is a social health problem that has a massive impact on children’s physical, mental, and social well-being. As the primary educational environment, schools need to implement a structured, safe, and child-friendly bullying reporting system. Objective: This conceptual study aims to design the implementation of a bullying reporting system based on school health administration using the functional management approach: planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling (POAC). The methods and components of the reporting system are designed through the four POAC pillars, namely the establishment of an Anti-Bullying Team, the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), the provision of child-friendly reporting media both physical and digital through the School Health Unit (UKS), and the development of monitoring and evaluation mechanisms (controlling). School health administration is used as an initial screening tool to identify indications of victim trauma discreetly and safely. The implementation of this POAC-based system is expected to improve the early detection of bullying cases, accelerate case handling responses, and eliminate stigma and fear of reporting among children. Conclusion: The integration of health administration and POAC management has proven to be a strong framework for creating a safe, inclusive school environment that strongly supports students’ mental health recovery.

This research was conducted to analyze the process of providing social services for abandoned children at the Sayap Ibu Foundation. Abandoned children are seen as a group with a high level of vulnerability and therefore require special intervention in fulfilling basic rights, protection, and developing their personal capacity so they can develop optimally. The research method applies a qualitative approach that uses interview processes, observations, and documentation studies to obtain the required information. Research findings show that the services provided include aspects of protection, education, fulfillment of basic needs, and psychosocial development which are implemented in an integrated manner by professional staff and volunteers. In its implementation, this service still faces a number of obstacles, including limited human resources, infrastructure, and minimal support from the community, which has an impact on the suboptimal service. However, the Sayap Ibu Foundation still has a significant contribution in improving the welfare of abandoned children through various programs oriented towards social rehabilitation, character strengthening, and empowerment. Therefore, it can be concluded from this study that it is necessary to strengthen comprehensive and sustainable services, as well as closer collaboration between institutions, government and the community in order to increase the effectiveness of handling neglected children by utilizing the functions and roles of foundations to the maximum. Then, the implications of the results of this study can be used as consideration for policy makers and social actors in designing more effective service programs for neglected children.

Protecting the rights of children in inheritance cases is very important in Indonesian civil law. It involves things like legal ability, who takes care of the child, and making sure the child's rights are properly respected and met. This study looks into how the law protects young people in fights over inheritance, including how guardians are used, any problems where someone might benefit unfairly, and how judges should make sure the child's best interests are always considered. The study uses a normative legal approach, looking at laws and ideas by checking related civil law rules and child protection guidelines. The study shows that children cannot make their own legal decisions in court and need their parents or guardians to act on their behalf. But in real situations, there can be problems where the parents' interests might conflict with what's best for the child, which could affect the child's right to inherit property. Judges are important in checking if the guardian has the right to be in the case and making sure the claim doesn't harm the child. Legal protection in inheritance matters needs to be both official, by having proper representatives, and real, by ensuring fair treatment, clear laws, and special care for children's rights as legal beings who need extra protection.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of legal protection for children as victims of sexual violence based on Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection. Sexual violence against children constitutes a serious violation of human rights and has long-term impacts on the physical, psychological, and social development of victims. Normatively, the law regulates various forms of protection, including prevention, handling, rehabilitation, and the imposition of stricter sanctions against perpetrators. However, in practice, several obstacles remain in the implementation of such legal protection. This research employs a normative legal research method using statutory and conceptual approaches. The legal materials consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary sources analyzed qualitatively through legal interpretation techniques. The analysis evaluates the conformity between the legal norms stipulated in the legislation and their implementation in practice. The results indicate that, normatively, Law Number 35 of 2014 provides a relatively comprehensive legal framework for protecting child victims of sexual violence. Nevertheless, its effectiveness is hindered by challenges such as law enforcement issues, limited facilities and infrastructure, lack of inter-agency coordination, and social stigma toward victims. Therefore, strengthening policy implementation and enhancing synergy among stakeholders are necessary to ensure optimal legal protection for children as victims of sexual violence.

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of various intervention strategies, including counseling services, learning strategies, and occupational therapy in treating children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Through a qualitative method based on literature studies, this study applies systematic data processing to evaluate the impact of a holistic approach on children's behavior and concentration. Analysis is carried out through data reduction procedures, data presentation, and verification of conclusions to measure the extent to which a holistic approach influences the development of children's behavior and concentration abilities. The results of the study indicate that multimodal approaches, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and occupational therapy, are effective in improving children's self-control, emotional regulation, and motor skills. In addition, the implementation of an Individual Learning Program (IPP) in schools and intensive collaboration with parents play a major role in creating a supportive environment for children with ADHD. This study concludes that integrated treatment between behavioral interventions and the success of optimizing children's potential depends heavily on the integration of professional behavioral treatment with active support from the family.

Sexual violence against children in Jambi City continues to show a fluctuating trend, with 32 cases in 2022, decreasing to 24 in 2023, and increasing again to 33 in 2024. This condition emphasizes the importance of strengthening cross-sector case handling between the UPTD PPA Jambi City and the Jambi Police in cases of sexual violence against children. This study aims to analyze the division of labor between the two institutions using the coordination theory according to Hasibuan (2006), which includes indicators of unity of action, communication, division of labor, and discipline. The method used is a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, documentation, and data triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results show that coordination between the UPTD PPA Jambi City and the Jambi Police has generally been running well, especially in the aspects of unity of action and discipline, as reflected in the alignment of goals and a fairly rapid response in handling cases. Communication between the two agencies has also been ongoing through formal and informal channels to expedite case response. The division of labor has been aligned with each agency's respective authority, with the UPTD PPA focusing on victim assistance and psychological support, while the police handle law enforcement. However, the lack of formal SOPs and MoUs poses a barrier to strengthening sustainable institutional integration. The implications of this research emphasize the need to strengthen formal mechanisms, regular evaluation forums, and formal cooperation agreements to enhance effective coordination and comprehensive protection for child victims.

Hospitalization is a condition that requires a child to be admitted to the hospital. This situation causes children to experience anxiety, restlessness, and fear. One of the nursing interventions to reduce anxiety due to hospitalization is play therapy. A form of play therapy appropriate for preschool children is puzzle play therapy. Puzzle play therapy is an activity in which children arrange pieces of pictures or specific shapes to form a complete image. This therapy encourages children to develop patience, stimulates concentration, and provides feelings of comfort and enjoyment, thereby reducing anxiety. The method used in preparing this Final Nursing Scientific Paper was a descriptive case study with the implementation of puzzle play therapy. The respondents consisted of three children experiencing anxiety due to hospitalization. Puzzle play materials and the Facial Image Scale (FIS) were used as measurement tools. The intervention was conducted over three consecutive days, with a duration of 15 minutes per session. The results showed a decrease in anxiety levels after puzzle play therapy: respondent 1 decreased from anxiety scale 5 to scale 1, respondent 2 from scale 4 to scale 1, and respondent 3 from scale 5 to scale 1. It can be concluded that puzzle play therapy is effective in reducing anxiety due to hospitalization in preschool children with dengue hemorrhagic fever. The implementation of puzzle play therapy is expected to become a routine nursing intervention to reduce hospitalization-related anxiety in preschool children with dengue hemorrhagic fever.

Digital transformation has significantly altered early childhood learning patterns. Platforms such as YouTube have become dominant media consumed by preschool children. Exposure to digital content during the golden age potentially affects moral development, as children remain in a critical phase of imitation and value internalization. This study aims to conceptually analyze the role of parents in assisting early childhood moral development amid YouTube exposure from an Islamic education perspective. The research employs a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review of reputable national and international journals published between 2020–2026. The analysis involves identification, inclusion-exclusion selection, thematic categorization, and critical synthesis. Findings reveal that effective moral development is strongly influenced by parental mediation patterns, including active mediation, screen-time limitation, Islamic value-based content selection, reflective dialogue, and digital role modeling. The study proposes an integrative Islamic-based digital parenting model combining modern moral development theory and Islamic tarbiyah principles. Theoretically, this study contributes by integrating family digital literacy with Islamic moral education within contemporary educational discourse.
