This article comprehensively discusses the concept of zakat and waqf from the perspective of Islamic law, as well as its regulations and implementation in Indonesia. Zakat as a religious obligation has the function of purifying property and life, while waqf is a form of almsgiving which aims to provide sustainable benefits for society. In the context of national regulations, zakat is regulated in Law Number 23 of 2011, while waqf is regulated through Law Number 41 of 2004 and various implementing regulations. Zakat management is carried out by the National Zakat Amil Agency (BAZNAS) and the Zakat Amil Institute (LAZ), while waqf is managed by officially registered nazhir. This article highlights the importance of transparency, accountability and professionalism in the management of zakat and waqf funds, as well as the urgency of building synergy between the two to support sustainable social and economic development programs. Optimizing zakat and waqf as instruments for community empowerment requires strengthening institutional capacity, supporting adaptive regulations, as well as increasing literacy and community participation.

The development of the sharia economy in Indonesia demands the existence of a judicial institution capable of resolving disputes in accordance with Islamic legal principles. The Religious Court, through the amendment of Law Number 3 of 2006, has obtained the authority to handle cases in the field of sharia economics, including Islamic banking disputes. However, the implementation of this authority faces various challenges, both in terms of regulation, dualism of authority with general courts, and institutional readiness, such as human resources and infrastructure. This study employs a qualitative method with a normative juridical approach to analyze the legal basis, court practices, and institutional responses in the exercise of this authority. The results of the study indicate that the Religious Court holds great potential as a pillar for upholding sharia economic law but requires reinforcement in various aspects, including improving judges’ competencies, digitalizing the judicial system, and fostering inter-institutional synergy. Moreover, legal protection for justice seekers highly depends on the effectiveness and professionalism of the judicial institution. Therefore, a sustainable strategy is needed to build the institutional capacity of the Religious Court to respond to the dynamics of the sharia economy in a fair, accountable manner and in line with Islamic legal values in Indonesia.

This study aims to explore the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) through the digital system "MyCore" in measuring and improving employee performance at Bank BRI Unit Sokaraja Tengah. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with key informants, observations of work practices, and analysis of internal documents (performance reports, SOPs). Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions with verification through source triangulation. The research findings indicate that the "MyCore" system integrates four BSC perspectives (finance, customer, internal business process, learning & growth) with specific performance indicators that affect incentives and career development. The financial and customer perspectives appear to have a strong emphasis, reflected in the direct impact on incentives and bonuses. The implementation of internal business processes is supported by standardization through MyCore and technology adoption. The importance of the learning and growth perspective is realized through regular training programs and bootcamp interventions for low-performing employees, which have proven effective in improving subsequent evaluation scores. In general, the implementation of the BSC via MyCore creates a structured, transparent, and adaptive assessment mechanism, encouraging productivity and professionalism. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of a transparent performance evaluation system that has a direct impact on career development and incentives, while also demonstrating the effectiveness of structured interventions in improving employee performance at the micro banking unit level.

This study aims to reconstruct the narrative of the establishment and struggle of the Aliansi Dosen ASN Kemdiktisaintek Seluruh Indonesia (ADAKSI), a collective movement advocating for the welfare of civil servant lecturers (ASN), particularly concerning the delayed disbursement of performance allowances (tukin). Using a narrative inquiry approach, this research traces digital records and real-world actions taken by ASN lecturers across Indonesia, including a symbolic flower board protest in January 2025, an audience with the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, and the organization of the first National Congress (MUNAS I ADAKSI) in May 2025. These narratives are analyzed as expressions of shared grievances, solidarity, and the formation of a collective identity among ASN lecturers who have long lacked institutional representation through official bodies like KORPRI. The findings reveal that ADAKSI functions not only as an advocacy platform for welfare but also as a socio-professional movement driven by intellectual ethics in demanding structural justice. Its actions, demands, and outcomes from MUNAS I mark a significant transition from fragmented protests to an organized national consolidation. The study recommends that policymakers create more inclusive spaces for dialogue with ASN lecturers and formally recognize independent professional organizations as strategic partners in the reform of Indonesia’s higher education system.

This research analyses the implementation of Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) at Algerian universities and its potential for encouraging undergraduate learners to academically acquire learning, enhancing self-regulated learning strategies, and enhancing interdisciplinarity collaboration. This research adopted the mixed-method approach and used a quantitative tool (the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ)) and obtained qualitative data through reflective journals, interviews, and classroom observation. Outcomes show that CBL greatly affects enhancing students' motivation and supporting self-directed actions such as goal-setting, time management, and metacognitive processing. Interdisciplinary cooperation was also determined to be supportive for student engagement and problem-solving capacity. Students and instructors predominantly reported positive opinions regarding CBL, highlighting the relevancy, authenticity, and cooperation aspects of CBL. These findings validate the four study hypotheses and endorse the pedagogical shift towards active, student-centered learning in Algerian universities. The research concludes with strategic suggestions to institutionalize CBL, reassess assessment practices, and encourage professional development in support of the faculty utilizing this new pedagogy.

Job analysis is a strategic tool in improving teacher performance, which serves to identify the tasks, responsibilities, and obligations inherent in the position. The main issue raised is the importance of placing teachers according to their qualifications and skills. Research shows that proper placement can improve teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes, because teachers who understand their roles can make better contributions to the educational process. Related studies show that job analysis not only helps in teacher placement, but also in their professional development. By identifying training needs, schools can design appropriate programs to improve teacher competency. Previous research has indicated a positive relationship between job analysis and teacher performance, but there is still a lack of understanding of the specific factors that influence the effectiveness of job analysis itself. Existing research gaps include the lack of exploration of how job analysis can be implemented effectively in different contexts and its impact on teacher motivation and commitment. Although there is evidence that job analysis has a positive effect on performance, further research is needed to explore other variables that may contribute to the success of this implementation. Therefore, this study aims to provide further insight into the application of job analysis as a strategy to improve teacher performance in schools.
