This study systematically evaluates the effectiveness of mental rehabilitation programs implemented for post-conflict populations in the aftermath of the Arab Spring. A meta-analytical approach was applied to 47 empirical studies encompassing 12,873 participants across five affected countries, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen, and Syria, from 2012 to 2023. The analysis reveals a significant reduction in symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) (d = -0.78, 95% CI [-0.92, -0.64], p < .001) and depression (d = -0.65, 95% CI [-0.79, -0.51], p < .001) following psychological intervention. Among the various therapeutic modalities, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) exhibited the strongest effect (g = 0.89), followed by Narrative Exposure Therapy (g = 0.76) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (g = 0.71). Analysis of moderating variables demonstrated that both program duration (β = 0.31, p < .01) and family involvement (β = 0.28, p < .01) significantly contributed to enhancing the efficacy of the intervention. These findings advance the understanding beyond previous research by Bwirire et al. (2022) and Eskici et al. (2023), which were constrained to short-term outcomes. This study confirms that therapeutic gains may persist up to two years post-intervention (r = 0.67, p < .001). Moreover, the results underscore combining community-based interventions with individualized therapy yields more favorable outcomes than the one-dimensional strategies reviewed in earlier literature.

Background: Gender-based violence (GBV) remains a major public health issue that negatively affects women’s psychological well-being and reproductive health. Trauma-informed care (TIC) is an approach to health services that recognizes the long-term effects of trauma and incorporates this understanding into all aspects of patient care. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of TIC implementation in midwifery services on the psychological recovery of pregnant and postpartum women with a history of GBV in Medan City. Methods: This study applied a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test control group design involving 86 pregnant and postpartum women identified through GBV screening at six primary health centers in Medan. Participants were divided into a TIC intervention group (n=43) and a control group (n=43). Psychological outcomes assessed included post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms using the PCL-5, depression with the EPDS, anxiety with the GAD-7, self-efficacy with the GSE, and mother–infant bonding using the PBQ. Data collection was conducted at baseline, week 8, and week 16. Statistical analysis employed repeated measures ANOVA and multiple linear regression. Results: Women receiving TIC showed significantly better psychological outcomes at week 16 compared with the control group. PTSD, depression, and anxiety scores decreased significantly, while self-efficacy and mother–infant bonding improved markedly (p<0.001). TIC also emerged as an independent predictor of psychological recovery after adjustment for confounding variables (β=-0.48; p<0.001). Conclusion: Trauma-informed care in midwifery services effectively enhances psychological recovery among women with GBV histories and should be integrated into maternal healthcare standards for vulnerable populations in Indonesia.

Objectives: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of psychological counseling in reducing anxiety levels among post-abortion mothers in primary healthcare facilities in the Batam Kota District. Methods: This study used a quantitative pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. A total of 30 post-abortion mothers were selected using purposive sampling. Anxiety levels were measured using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) before and after the intervention. The psychological counseling intervention was conducted through structured sessions focusing on emotional support, problem exploration, and coping strategies. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test after normality testing with the Shapiro–Wilk test. Results: The results showed a significant decrease in anxiety levels after psychological counseling. The mean anxiety score decreased from 25.47 (SD = 4.12) before the intervention to 17.63 (SD = 3.58) after the intervention. The distribution of anxiety levels also improved, with the majority of respondents shifting from moderate (50%) and severe (36.7%) anxiety categories to mild anxiety (53.3%) after counseling. Statistical analysis revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p = 0.000), indicating the effectiveness of the intervention. Conclusions: Psychological counseling is effective in reducing anxiety levels among post-abortion mothers. Therefore, integrating counseling services into post-abortion care in primary healthcare settings is recommended to improve women's psychological well-being.

This study aims to analyze the role of psychological assessment in improving the effectiveness of guidance and counseling services in educational settings through a qualitative literature review. Psychological assessment is a fundamental component in counseling practice that allows counselors to understand clients in depth and comprehensively. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a literature review that analyzes journal articles, textbooks, and relevant academic publications from 2015- 2025. The results of the study indicate that psychological assessment has two main roles: first, helping counselors understand the internal dynamics, cultural context, strengths, and resources of clients; second, providing various types of assessment instruments that can be selected according to needs, including personality, cognitive, emotional, behavioral, projective, multicultural, and technology-based assessments. Appropriate assessment not only functions as a diagnostic tool but also as a therapeutic intervention that encourages client self-awareness. The implementation of quality psychological assessment is the foundation for designing effective and responsive counseling services to the individual needs of students, so that it can improve the overall quality of guidance and counseling services in educational settings.

This study aims to comprehensively examine the role of management psychology in the dynamics of group work within organizational settings. Management psychology integrates psychological principles with managerial strategies to understand, guide, and manage individual behaviors in groups, aiming to foster harmonious collaboration and optimal productivity. Using a literature review approach, this study analyzes various academic sources including peer-reviewed journals, scholarly books, and previous research relevant to the topic. The findings indicate that several psychological factors—such as open interpersonal communication, participative leadership styles, appropriate motivational strategies, and effective conflict resolution—play a critical role in shaping team performance and cohesion. Leaders who are able to understand the emotional conditions, psychological needs, and potential of each team member can create a supportive and positive work environment that encourages engagement and shared goals. Moreover, clarity of roles, recognition of individual contributions, and the cultivation of a sense of belonging within the organization further strengthen team dynamics. This study recommends the implementation of organizational psychology training for managers and team leaders to enhance their ability to manage group interactions wisely, adaptively, and humanely. By applying psychological insights in group management, organizations can improve overall effectiveness through strong collaboration, mutual respect, and collective commitment.

In guidance and counseling, psychological assessment is used to understand the client's condition more thoroughly. However, this process requires not only technical expertise, but also ethical responsibility from the counselor. The Ethics Profession includes things like maintaining data confidentiality, obtaining client consent, and ensuring that the measuring instruments used are appropriate and reliable. If these principles are ignored, violations can occur that harm clients and tarnish the counseling profession. This article discusses the importance of ethics in the practice of psychological assessment by counselors, the various challenges that often arise, and steps that can be taken to maintain professionalism. The goal is for counselors to be able to provide services that are safe, fair, and oriented towards the best interests of clients.

The use of Paylater as a means to achieve a desired lifestyle, especially among the younger generation, is the highlight of this research. With a focus on psychological and financial impacts, this study combines qualitative and quantitative approaches to investigate the complex interactions between demographic factors, motivations, and the consequences of using Paylater for prestige. Through data collection using questionnaires and interviews with samples covering various age groups, education levels, and income levels, the research results highlight interesting findings. The main motivation for using Paylater was revealed as a drive to achieve a prestigious image and keep up with emerging digital consumption trends. The psychological impact cannot be ignored either, with some respondents admitting to the financial stress associated with this habit. Data analysis shows that education level plays an important role in an individual's ability to manage Paylater debt. Respondents with a higher level of education tend to be more aware of risk and have better debt management strategies. The implications of the results of this research include challenges in financial literacy and psychological well-being in the digital era. A more targeted approach is needed to educate young people about the financial risks associated with using Paylater for prestige. Nonetheless, this study acknowledges limitations in the generalisability of the results and suggests further research to investigate alternative financial management strategies and the long-term impact of this phenomenon

Pregnancy is one of the most significant phases in a woman's life, involving both physical and psychological changes. One of the psychological factors that often arise during pregnancy is stress. Stress during pregnancy can affect both maternal health and fetal development, and may even increase the risk of preterm birth. This study aims to analyze the relationship between stress levels in pregnant women and the risk of preterm birth at the UPTD Puskesmas Saritani. The study uses a quantitative design with a descriptive approach, where data was collected from 104 pregnant women screened using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) and birth status recorded in the medical records of the health center. The results showed that pregnant women who experienced stress had a higher likelihood of preterm birth compared to those who did not experience stress. This study is expected to contribute to the understanding of the impact of stress on maternal and fetal health and provide a foundation for the development of health programs to detect and manage stress in pregnant women, ultimately reducing preterm birth rates.

In the context of modern organizations that increasingly demand high productivity, employees’ emotional well-being is often overlooked in organizational design. This study aims to explore how a humanistic approach can be integrated into organizational design to create a work environment that is not only efficient but also supportive of emotional well-being. Using a literature review method complemented by interviews and observations of workplace dynamics, this study finds that organizations still tend to adopt bureaucratic and technocratic approaches that neglect employees’ psychological dimensions. As a result, issues such as burnout, decreased motivation, and low work engagement emerge. The findings highlight the need for a paradigm shift in organizational design—from a purely structural system toward a humanistic design that considers emotional needs. This study emphasizes that emotional well-being must be positioned as a strategic element in organizational design, not merely as a supplementary effort. Thus, work effectiveness and emotional well-being can be sustainably aligned.

This study analyzes the use of conceptual metaphors representing the grieving process in Taylor Swift's album "Folklore" through the lens of Kübler-Ross's five stages of grief. The method employed is a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection conducted through the analysis of song lyrics obtained from physical albums and digital music platforms. The research instrument consists of a guideline for identifying and categorizing metaphors related to the theme of grief. The data analysis procedure includes in-depth reading to identify metaphors, which are then categorized according to the stages of grief. The findings indicate that each song in the album reflects various aspects of denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance, providing a profound understanding of the grieving experience. This research demonstrates that metaphors in the lyrics serve not only as artistic expression but also as a means to comprehend the psychological processes individuals undergo. The study recommends further analysis of other albums with similar themes to enrich the understanding of the emotional impact of song lyrics

Sleep disturbances may be encountered by third-trimester gravid women owing to perceptual vicissitudes and physiological-psychological perturbations. Sleep caliber may be detrimentally impacted by depression precipitated by such gestational alterations. A quantitative correlational paradigm was harnessed in this inquiry to appraise the nexus betwixt gestational sleep quality and depressive symptomatology. The study cohort encompassed the entirety of pregnant women, from whom 41 were randomly conscripted. Kendall's tau-b correlational scrutiny yielded a coefficient of 0.649 and p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), evincing a robust, statistically salient association between prenatal sleep eminence and depression. Ergo, diminished sleep repose is characteristically observed among gravid women manifesting depressive states.
