Film serves not only as entertainment but also as a medium for conveying messages through verbal interactions between characters. In pragmatics, illocutionary acts are central to understanding a speaker’s intention within a given context. This study aims to describe and analyze the types and functions of illocutionary speech acts in the Indonesian film Komang (2025) by Naya Anindita, which portrays a love story across religious and cultural boundaries. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation and transcription of dialogue from the film. The analysis is based on Searle’s classification of illocutionary acts: representatives, directives, expressives, commissives, and declaratives. The findings reveal that all five types appear in the film, each playing a role in shaping interpersonal dynamics, emotional tension, and cultural values. Directive and expressive acts are the most dominant, reflecting intense emotional exchanges and social interactions. Commissive and declarative acts highlight commitment and authority, contributing to the narrative progression and cultural identity negotiation. The study concludes that illocutionary acts in films can represent social conflicts and cultural expressions, and recommends further research on other films with varied genres and contexts. The integration of multimodal elements is also suggested to enrich the analysis of meaning in audiovisual texts.

Purse seine is a fishing tool used to catch surface fish that are grouped and pulled towards the light. It works by encircling schools of fish with a net to create a vertical wall that blocks the fish's ability to move horizontally. The aim of the research is to find out how the speed of pulling the drawstring (purse line) affects the number of fish caught in Sampang waters. The research method used was an experimental method, namely by conducting experiments and monitoring the treatment carried out on purse seine fishing gear on mackerel fish caught in Sampang waters. The results of test 1 show that the results of catching mackerel fish in the catches from 3 treatments and 9 repetitions were very significantly different, so it can be concluded that from the results of the fishing experiment with a purse seine, drawstring speed had a very significantly different effect.

The research method used is qualitative with a library research approach. Data were obtained through a literature review of academic books, scientific journals, and official documents relevant to the theme of curriculum and PAI learning innovation. The analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically on various existing curriculum models and innovation processes. The results of the study show that several innovation models can be adapted in the development of PAI curriculum and learning in high schools, including the R-D-D model (Research, Development, and Diffusion), the Organizational Development model, and the Configuration model. These three models provide a systematic approach to the educational innovation process, from design and implementation to diffusion and routinization within the school environment. In addition, the proposed innovation process follows the dynamic initiation and implementation stages based on the theories of Rogers and Zaltman. In conclusion, the development of curriculum and PAI learning innovation models in SMA Batam City needs to consider the local socio-cultural conditions, teacher readiness, and institutional support. The appropriate implementation of these models is believed to improve the quality of religious education to be more contextual, adaptive, and impactful on the formation of students’ character.

The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of increasing population numbers due to ongoing urbanization and migration, which directly affects the social, economic, and environmental pressures in urban areas. This research employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with residents, community leaders, and local government officials, as well as field observations in areas with high population density. Secondary data were obtained from official documents such as reports from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and regional development planning documents. This study highlights the importance of participatory and data-based urban planning, along with strong cross-sectoral coordination in providing social and environmental infrastructure. It is recommended that local governments develop adaptive policies in response to demographic dynamics to create livable, inclusive, and sustainable urban spaces. The findings of this research are expected to serve as a reference for future policy-making regarding the development of densely populated areas.

Disputes over general election results (PHPU) at the Constitutional Court reflect the critical role of evidence in resolving electoral conflicts. However, in practice, there exists an imbalance in the evidentiary process between the disputing parties. This study aims to analyze such disparities using a normative juridical approach by examining laws and regulations, Constitutional Court decisions, and relevant legal literature. The findings indicate that evidentiary issues in PHPU are influenced not only by formal and material legal aspects but also by the political dynamics that accompany every electoral contest. Unequal access to evidence, disparities in evidentiary capacity among parties, and the Court’s limited ability to conduct active examinations exacerbate this imbalance. Additionally, political interests often influence perceptions of the independence of evidence and the objectivity of court decisions. Therefore, there is a pressing need to strengthen technical regulations on evidence, enhance the evidentiary capacity of disputing parties, and optimize the Constitutional Court’s role in maintaining balance in the evidentiary process. In conclusion, the imbalance of evidence in PHPU at the Constitutional Court stems not only from procedural weaknesses but also from the political interests surrounding the trial process. Reforming the evidentiary system is urgently needed to uphold the principles of electoral justice in Indonesia.

Political culture plays an important role in determining the dynamics of general elections, especially in the context of Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) in Indonesia. This research focuses on Ciwaringin Village in Ciwaringin District, Cirebon Regency, which shows low community political participation due to a parochial political culture. People in this village tend to be inactive in the election process, are influenced by the practice of money politics, and choose based on personal closeness and material lures, without understanding the vision and mission of potential leaders. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature study and interview methods to explore the factors that influence political participation, including social, economic, and educational aspects and the use of information media. Findings show that low political literacy and indifference to political issues result in apathy toward elections. Therefore, educational efforts and increasing political awareness are needed to encourage active community participation in the democratic process. It is hoped that this research can contribute to understanding political culture and community participation in Ciwaringin village and promote improvements in implementing the upcoming regional elections.
