Logistics and Supply Chain Insights 2025 Indonesian Maritime Researchers and Lecturers

This study aims to analyze the influence of Service Quality, Price Perception, and Trust on the User's Interest in the ferry service of KMP Gili Iyang on the Paciran-Bawean route operated by PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Cabang Paciran. This route plays a critical role as an essential logistics and social link for Bawean Island. The quantitative research used a survey method with an Incidental Sampling technique, involving 100 respondents who are users of the service. The collected data were analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression with SPSS V25. The partial hypothesis test results (t-test) show that Service Quality (β=0.80; p=0.033), Price Perception (β=0.69; p=0.038), and Trust (β=0.587; p=0.000) individually have a positive and significant impact on the User's Interest. The Trust variable was found to be the most dominant predictor, emphasizing the importance of integrity, competence, and operational consistency in essential and high-risk maritime transportation services. The adjusted R-squared value of 60.% indicates that this model provides a strong explanation for the variation in User's Interest. This study provides important implications for managing ferry services by improving service quality, competitive pricing, and building customer trust to increase user interest.

This study aims to analyze students' perceptions of the concept of meritocracy in education management as an effort to prevent nepotism in the recruitment process for elementary school teachers. Meritocracy is seen as an approach that emphasizes individual competence, qualifications, and achievements in the selection process for educators, while nepotism is often an obstacle in creating a professional and ethical educational environment. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with data collection through questionnaires distributed to students in education study programs who have acquired a basic understanding of educational management and teacher recruitment systems. The data were analyzed to describe the students' level of understanding, attitudes, and views on the application of meritocracy principles and their awareness of the negative impacts of nepotism in the world of education. The results show that the majority of students have a positive perception of meritocracy as a fair and effective system for improving the quality of educators. However, some students acknowledge that nepotism is still common in the education sector and is considered to undermine professionalism and public trust. These findings emphasize the importance of instilling meritocratic values from the university level and strengthening competency-based recruitment policies to support the creation of a transparent and high-quality education system.

This research aims to understand how public perceptions and responses to social conflict are shaped in the digital era, marked by advances in information and communication technology. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and library research methods, this study analyzes various literature, journals, and previous research findings that address the relationship between digital media, social perceptions, and conflict dynamics. The results indicate that digital media plays a central role in shaping public perspectives on social conflict. Rapid, widespread, and interactive access to information makes it easier for people to engage in social issues, both actively through online campaigns and passively as observers. However, this phenomenon also poses challenges in the form of perceptual bias, the spread of hoaxes, and increased social polarization due to the dominance of certain narratives in the digital space. On the other hand, digital media also opens up opportunities for collective awareness, social empathy, and public participation in conflict resolution efforts. Therefore, improving digital literacy and media ethics are crucial factors in building a critical, rational, and peaceful society amidst the complexity of social interactions in cyberspace.

This study investigates the influence of coffee brewing device branding on the sensory perception of coffee flavor at TEFA Javanica, Politeknik Negeri Banyuwangi. Focusing on three V60 dripper brands—Hario (Japanese brand), Indotara (local generic brand), and One Two Cup (local brand with English naming)—the research employs an experimental quantitative approach combining blind and branded taste tests. The blind test eliminates brand influence, allowing assessment of the inherent coffee taste, while the branded test examines how brand expectations affect flavor experience and consumer perception. Sensory evaluation follows the Specialty Coffee Association's standardized cupping protocol, assessing aroma, taste, aftertaste, balance, and overall impression. Data from 45 purposively selected experienced coffee tasters were analyzed using the McNemar test to statistically compare preferences between blind and branded conditions. Results show significant brand effects on consumer perception for two of the three brands tested, highlighting branding’s role in shaping sensory experience. These findings offer valuable insights for coffee producers and marketers to optimize brewing device selection and branding strategies, enhancing customer satisfaction and competitive positioning. Academically, the study enriches literature on sensory branding in coffee, emphasizing the importance of equipment branding in specialty coffee markets. This research also lays groundwork for future studies exploring marketing and consumer psychology aspects within the specialty coffee industry.

This study aims to analyze community perceptions of the application of legal and economic principles of food security in Rias Village, Toboali District. Food security is a crucial issue because it is directly related to survival, welfare, and regional economic stability. However, the community's understanding of food security is often limited to food availability, without considering its relationship with legislation and the dynamics of the village economy. The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach that included in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of the local community. The results of the study show that the people of Rias Village have a positive perception of the importance of food security, especially from an economic perspective, such as market access, food prices, and business capital. However, understanding of legal aspects is still limited, especially regarding government and local regulations that should protect the community's right to access food. Burnout is a psychological issue often faced by Civil Servants (ASN) due to demanding job responsibilities, negatively impacting performance, motivation, job satisfaction, and productivity. Excessive workload is a primary factor contributing to burnout, making it essential to examine their relationship in the governmental context. This study investigates the perception of workload and the level of burnout among civil servants at the National Unity and Political Agency (Kesbangpol) of Jambi Province. Using a quantitative correlational approach, the study involved 65 civil servants selected through purposive sampling. Data were gathered through an online questionnaire consisting of a workload perception scale (30 items) and a burnout scale (22 items). The Pearson Product Moment correlation test with SPSS software was used for data analysis. Descriptive results showed that most respondents reported moderate to high levels for both variables. A correlation coefficient of r = 0.503 with a significance level of p = 0.001 (p < 0.05) indicates a significant positive relationship between workload perception and burnout. This suggests that higher perceived workload increases the likelihood of experiencing burnout. To reduce burnout and maintain optimal performance, balanced workload management, social support, and stress management strategies are essential for civil servants.

This study aims to analyze the perceptions of teachers at Pondok Pesantren Assalafiyah Nurul Hidayah Pangkalpinang regarding Islamic banking. Despite the religious background of the teachers, the findings reveal that the majority still use conventional banks due to limited knowledge about Islamic banking principles, lack of socialization, and practical reasons such as convenience and proximity. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method involving 21 teachers through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that while the teachers have a generally positive view of Islamic banking, their understanding remains partial, particularly regarding profit-sharing mechanisms, riba prohibition, and Islamic financial products. Moreover, their interest in saving at Islamic banks is potential but requires further education and socialization to encourage real participation. This research highlights the need for more proactive promotion and financial literacy programs from Islamic banking institutions to increase public awareness, especially among religious educators, regarding the use of sharia-compliant financial services.
