This study aims to analyze the winning strategy of Maria Caecilia Stevi Harman in the 2024 election of members of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia in East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT). As a newcomer and female politician, Stevi Harman managed to win the most votes, outperforming the incumbent candidates. The main focus of the research is to examine how it mobilizes the masses and builds effective political machines in local contexts. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that Stevi Harman's winning strategy consists of four main steps: mission formulation, sub-strategy, goals, and target image. The practical strategies implemented include a direct and personal approach to voters, as well as the use of social media as a political communication tool. The success of the campaign was supported by Stevi's identity as a doctor, a politician's family background, and an authentic self-image that was close to the community. This research highlights the importance of adaptive communication strategies, the use of personal identity as political capital, and a relationship-based approach in winning voter votes. These findings contribute to the study of contemporary political strategies, especially in the context of non-partisan but competitive DPD member elections.

This research is motivated by the importance of achieving the success of the tahfidz program at the Tebuireng 08 Islamic Boarding School in Banten, which faces a number of limitations in strategic management aspects. Therefore, this research focuses on planning, evaluation, and exploration of internal and external factors that have the potential to influence the success of the tahfidz program. The theoretical framework used in this research is the theory of strategic management and the theory of Al-Qur'an memorization, which are considered relevant to understanding the dynamics of the implementation of the tahfidz program in Islamic boarding schools. This research uses a qualitative approach with the aim of digging in depth information related to the strategies, mechanisms, and practices of implementing the tahfidz program at the Tebuireng 08 Islamic Boarding School. The data collection process was carried out through in-depth exploration so that a real picture of the program planning and implementation was obtained. The results of the study indicate that the tahfidz program is implemented through tiered stages starting from the formulation of the institution's vision, mission, and objectives, then translated into the form of a tahfidz program as the main program. The findings of this study confirm that the planning of the tahfidz program at the Tebuireng 08 Islamic Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren Tebuireng 08) adheres to strategic management principles, particularly through a trend-watching mechanism that takes into account the internal and external conditions of the Islamic boarding school. This makes the planning more implementable and focused on achieving the desired goals. Furthermore, the program's success is supported by a continuous evaluation mechanism that allows for dynamic improvements and adjustments. Thus, this study emphasizes that the success of the tahfidz program is determined not only by spiritual aspects, but also by strategic management that is systematic, planned, and adaptive to environmental changes.

Mission constitutes a fundamental dimension of the Catholic Church’s identity, intrinsically linked to the divine mandate to participate in God’s work of salvation in the world. Within this framework, the consecrated life of the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit (SSpS) embodies a distinctive expression of Trinitarian spirituality and a prophetic missionary vocation. In the context of Timor Island, this charism is concretely manifested through ministries that directly engage with the realities of local communities. This study adopts a qualitative methodology with a literature review approach, drawing on theological sources, congregational spirituality, and the SSpS Constitution to explore the theological and practical dimensions of the sisters’ mission. The research aims to analyze how the life and apostolate of the SSpS Sisters serve as a tangible witness to the presence of the Triune God, particularly through works in education, healthcare, social services, and pastoral ministry. The findings indicate that the sisters’ mission is deeply rooted in a faith experience centered on the Most Holy Trinity, which shapes their incarnational and intercultural approach to ministry. Their service reflects a prophetic commitment to empowering marginalized communities, promoting human dignity, and fostering social transformation. Furthermore, the integration of religious vows with active engagement in societal issues illustrates a spirituality that bridges contemplation and action, grounded in both fidelity to the Gospel and responsiveness to contextual needs. In conclusion, the consecrated life of the SSpS Sisters on Timor Island stands as a visible and dynamic sign of God’s salvific and prophetic presence. Through their holistic and transformative ministries, they contribute significantly to the mission of the Church and the common good of society, embodying a vision of the “civilization of love” rooted in Trinitarian communion and expressed in concrete service to humanity.

Extreme weather events in Bintan Regency increased from 34 incidents in 2023 to 45 incidents in 2024, marked by strong winds and heavy rainfall, which caused damage to residential homes and disrupted community activities. This study aims to determine the mitigation strategies of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bintan Regency. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The study is based on Fred R. David’s theory (2016). The results of this study show that the Strategy Formulation has been fully implemented in formulating the vision and mission of BPBD Bintan regarding disaster mitigation. However, the identification of internal and external environments has not been optimal due to issues such as the wide geographical coverage of Bintan Regency and the lack of transportation facilities. The Strategy Implementation indicates that the execution by BPBD Bintan is not yet fully optimal, as some community members have not received the planned activities. The Strategy Evaluation shows that BPBD Bintan's performance has been optimal, as evidenced by the Government Institution Performance Report (LAKIP), which states that the agency has achieved 100% of its service targets for those who received services. However, field findings reveal that community understanding and preparedness are still lacking due to the absence of outreach and training programs, which are hindered by factors such as the unestablished Disaster-Resilient Villages (Destana/Katana). Nevertheless, the community perceives BPBD Bintan’s response in providing aid during disasters as satisfactory.

In a global context marked by religious pluralism, secularization, and a crisis of faith identity, a theological understanding of God’s covenant with Abraham (Genesis 12:1–3) becomes increasingly significant. The rise of postmodern thought has weakened grand narratives, including the theological narrative of Christianity, leading to a fragmented understanding of faith. This study aims to explore the theological, spiritual, and social implications of the Abrahamic covenant using a contextual hermeneutical approach that engages with the current socio-religious realities of Indonesia. The covenant highlights God’s unilateral initiative, a structure of blessing that encompasses personal, national, and universal dimensions, and a call to faith that demands obedience amid uncertainty. Its relevance is evident in shaping the church’s identity as a covenant community, fostering a holistic missional paradigm, and cultivating a spirituality rooted in divine grace. In the Indonesian context, the principle of “blessed to be a blessing” challenges the church to engage actively in social transformation and interfaith dialogue. This study also examines the covenant’s contribution to the development of ecclesiology, missiology, and Christian ethics, while reaffirming the importance of a faith grounded in trust rather than certainty. Through interviews and literature review, the research offers a theologically reflective and contextually grounded perspective. The findings demonstrate that the Abrahamic covenant is not only a historical foundation of Christian faith but also a spiritual blueprint for the contemporary church to respond to the challenges of the age with obedience, courage, and an inclusive missional vision

This study aims to examine the practice of money politics in the 2024 Legislative Elections in Alor Regency and its impact on the quality of democracy in the region. Money politics is a crucial issue in the democratic process because it can undermine election integrity, reduce the quality of public political participation, and create injustice in political representation. This practice has the potential to shift voter orientation, from initially choosing based on the vision, mission, and competence of legislative candidates to being more influenced by material offers. The approach used in this study was qualitative, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, direct field observations, and review of relevant documents. In this study, the main participants consisted of voters, legislative candidates, and local political observers. The results of the study indicate that the practice of money politics is still widespread, especially in the run-up to election day. This practice involves giving cash or goods to voters in exchange for votes. The research findings indicate that giving money or goods as compensation leads to a decline in the quality of public political participation. Many voters vote based on the material benefits they receive, rather than the competence or track record of legislative candidates. This has resulted in a decline in public political awareness, with those prioritizing short-term gains over the long-term contributions of legislative candidates to the progress of their regions. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that money politics in the 2024 Legislative Election in Alor Regency negatively impacts local democracy. This practice undermines public trust in the political process, creates dependency between voters and political elites, and undermines democratic values that should be upheld. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening political education in the community and stricter law enforcement against perpetrators of money politics.

In addition to improving interpersonal communication skills, this training also emphasized the importance of strategic communication in the context of advocacy and social mobilization. NGO administrators were trained to design campaign messages tailored to audience segments, including potential donors, corporate partners, and government stakeholders. An understanding of the importance of framing and emotional appeal was also emphasized, so that the messages delivered were not only informative but also able to inspire empathy and concrete action from the audience. During the training process, participants were also equipped with a basic understanding of digital communication, particularly in utilizing social media platforms as a tool to expand the reach of messages. Creative content strategies, effective posting scheduling, and the use of visual storytelling were introduced so that NGO administrators could build a positive image of their institutions in the digital space. These skills are crucial considering that the dynamics of public communication today are influenced by the speed and reach of social media. The positive impact of this activity was felt not only individually, but also institutionally. The NGO "Kakak Asuh" began to show an increase in public engagement through social media, an increase in the number of new volunteers, and the opening of opportunities for partnerships with external parties. This demonstrates that persuasive communication is not merely a means of conveying a message, but also a strategy for building strong, credible, and sustainable relationships with the wider community. Going forward, the sustainability of this training program is designed through a system of ongoing mentoring and support. This approach is expected to strengthen the implementation of the communication strategies learned and enable a comprehensive transformation of organizational communication. Thus, this PKM activity will not only have a short-term impact but also build a solid communication foundation to support the NGO's social mission in the future.

In the digital era, Christians face significant challenges in maintaining an authentic spirituality amidst a continuous stream of information and the influence of popular culture that often contradicts biblical values. The command in Romans 12:2 to "not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind" remains highly relevant, yet its practical application in contemporary Christian life is frequently overlooked. This study aims to explore the theological depth of Romans 12:2, identify the dominant patterns of worldly thought in the digital age, and develop a contextual and applicable framework for transformative Christian spirituality. Utilizing a qualitative method with a library research approach, data were gathered from theological works, biblical commentaries, and scholarly literature on spirituality, culture, and digital engagement. The study reveals that the renewal of the mind refers not only to a personal inner change but to a reorientation of worldview through the power of the Holy Spirit. This transformation involves resisting cultural tendencies such as self-image obsession on social media, intellectual complacency caused by technological convenience, and the rise of individualistic spirituality detached from community life. To address these challenges, the study proposes several implementation strategies: fostering deeper biblical literacy contextualized to current issues, cultivating critical thinking as a form of spiritual discipline, and nurturing accountability within faith communities. These elements form a holistic framework of contemporary Christian spirituality that is Christ-centered, critically aware, and outward-focused in mission. The implications of this framework suggest that Christian spirituality in the digital era must engage both heart and mind, remain rooted in Scripture, and be lived out in communal and missional contexts.

Community-based servant leadership development has emerged as a critical approach for Christian nonprofit organizations seeking to cultivate authentic leaders who embody Christ-centered values. This study explores the integration of theological foundations from Mark 10:45 with Robert K. Greenleaf's servant leadership theory to develop a comprehensive model for leader formation within Christian nonprofit contexts. Employing a qualitative methodology with a library research design, data were collected from scholarly literature and theological sources, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research reveals a significant alignment between the core message of Mark 10:45—“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve”—and the key principles of Greenleaf’s servant leadership, particularly the emphasis on selfless service, empathy, listening, and community building. Community plays a vital role as both a laboratory and an incubator for spiritual and leadership formation, where individuals can internalize leadership values through biblical teaching, mentorship, active religious practices, and shared life experiences. The study proposes a five-stage model: Foundation Building, Community Immersion, Skill Development, Practical Application, and Leadership Multiplication. This model serves as a strategic guide for Christian organizations to intentionally nurture servant leaders. Findings highlight improvements in character formation, organizational effectiveness, and the embodiment of servant leadership traits such as humility, sacrifice, and empathy. The study concludes with practical recommendations for implementation, including structured mentoring systems, the formation of communities of practice, and ongoing evaluation mechanisms. Ultimately, this integrated model supports the mission of Christian nonprofits by shaping leaders who advance both spiritual and social transformation.

This study uses a qualitative method with data analysis using a sociology of literature approach. The results of the study indicate that there is social criticism of the short story "Ama Tobi di Antara Konten Batas Kampung Serumpun" by Silvester Petara Hurit, namely 1) Criticism of social relations. The social relations that are expected to live, grow and develop in the village of Lewolema, have now changed into a conflict that eliminates the values of family, brotherhood, solidarity, cooperation between residents, 2) Criticism of identity starting from the change of the name of the village, can be considered as an effort to eliminate the cultural and historical identity of the community. In addition, the influence of colonialism, where the arrival of European missionaries and traders has brought changes in the value and belief system. The role of schools established by religious foundations has brought changes in the community's education system, and 3) Criticism of power is a struggle between traditional values and modernity. Indigenous peoples have strong values and traditions, but they also feel that they must adapt to the changing times and the presence of the government and religious foundation

Southeast Asia has long held a strategic position in global maritime trade since the pre-Islamic era. Through interactions with Arab, Persian, and Indian merchants, Islam was introduced to the region not through military conquest, but via peaceful and cultural means, particularly through trade and Sufi missionary activities. The Islamization process unfolded gradually, beginning in major port cities such as Samudera Pasai, Malacca, and Gresik, with significant support from local elites. This study employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach using library research methods, drawing from historical records, Malay Islamic manuscripts, and recent academic studies. The findings reveal that Islamic civilization in Southeast Asia manifested in the form of Islamic sultanates, traditional Islamic educational institutions (pesantren and pondok), and rich cultural expressions such as arts, literature, and architecture shaped by local aesthetics. This acculturation process gave rise to a moderate, inclusive, and adaptive form of Islam. In the modern era, Islam in this region continues to evolve in response to global challenges through institutional innovation and the contextualization of Islamic values. Therefore, Islam in Southeast Asia is not merely a religious system, but a civilizational force that shapes a distinctive and sustainable regional identity.

This journal explores the role of the Church Unity Body in strengthening the unity of Christian faith. The Church, as the body of Christ composed of various members from diverse backgrounds and traditions, is called to unite in one faith, one teaching, and one way of life aligned with the teachings of Christ. This unity is crucial for maintaining harmony within the community of believers and for addressing social and theological challenges in the modern world. The role of the Church Unity Body is evident through Bible teaching based on enduring truth, participation in sacraments such as Holy Communion and Baptism, as well as collaboration among churches in social service and mission. In this context, the church functions not only as a place of worship but also as a community that supports spiritual growth and the well-being of its members. The unity of Christian faith requires mutual respect, forgiveness, and humility among church members. By strengthening this unity, the church can provide a clearer testimony to the world, demonstrating that in Christ, differences can be reconciled in love that transcends all. This article also highlights the importance of the church’s role in building a unity of faith that goes beyond denominational boundaries, within the framework of ecumenism, to realize the wholeness of the body of Christ and bring about transformation in the world.

This article examines the role of the Formed Police Unit (FPU) in the perspective of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, particularly in the context of civilian protection in conflict areas. The FPU is an armed police unit deployed in UN peacekeeping missions with a mandate to protect civilians, maintain order, and support post-conflict recovery. Despite its strategic role, the FPU faces legal, operational and socio-cultural challenges. This study uses a normative-juridical approach by analyzing international legal documents, UN operational standards, and academic literature. It is emphasized that the effectiveness of the FPU is highly dependent on human rights-based training, clarity of mandate, logistical readiness, and the ability to build trust with local communities. This article recommends strengthening accountability mechanisms and cross-sector integration in peace missions, so that the FPU is able to carry out its protection mandate substantially and in accordance with applicable international legal principles.
