This study explores the reinforcement of monotheism (tauhid) education through interactive digital content for fifth-grade students at SDIT Insan Kamil in the social media era. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected via classroom observations, interviews with Islamic education teachers, and analysis of digital learning materials. Findings indicate that interactive digital content, including videos, animations, and educational games, enhanced students' understanding of tauhid, increased engagement, and facilitated self-directed learning beyond school hours. Students demonstrated improved participation in discussions and greater confidence in expressing religious inquiries. However, challenges such as unequal access to technology among students were identified. Recommendations include developing tailored digital content aligned with tauhid principles, providing teacher training in technology integration, and addressing technological disparities through collaborative school-parent efforts. This study highlights the potential of digital tools to make Islamic education more relevant and engaging for digitally immersed students, emphasizing balanced collaboration between technology and teacher guidance.

This research aims to explore and analyze learning strategy innovations in shaping students as reliable educator candidates who are able to face educational challenges in the digital era. The main focus of the research is the application of technology-based learning approaches, collaboration, and creative strategies that place students not only as recipients of knowledge, but also as active subjects who construct understanding through learning experiences. This study was carried out in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) of the Syarifuddin Lumajang Islamic Religious Institute by involving 30 students who took the learning strategy course. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation. The findings of the study show that the application of flipped classroom is able to increase student learning independence, while project-based learning strategies encourage creativity and problem-solving skills. In addition, the use of interactive technology such as online quiz applications, discussion platforms, and collaborative media strengthens learning motivation while expanding students' digital skills. Although the results showed a positive impact, there were significant obstacles, namely the limitations of technology infrastructure in the campus environment and the low digital literacy of some students. These factors hinder the optimization of innovative learning strategies. Therefore, institutional support is needed in providing technology-based infrastructure, digital literacy training, and continuous mentoring so that students can develop pedagogical competence, professionalism, and adaptive abilities in accordance with the demands of 21st century education. Overall, this study emphasizes that learning strategy innovation supported by technology, collaboration, and support of educational institutions is able to strengthen the process of forming prospective educators who are competent, competitive, and ready to face the dynamics of the world of education in the digital era.

The rapid development of digital technology has reshaped communication practices in online learning, particularly in language education. Emojis, as a visual symbol widely used in digital interactions, have the potential to enrich emotional expression and participation, but their role in educational contexts remains insufficiently explored. This study aims to investigate how emojis influence students’ emotional expression, engagement, and digital literacy in online language classrooms. To achieve this, a qualitative observational design was employed, focusing on university students participating in online language courses. Data were collected from authentic digital interactions, including chat messages, discussion forums, and collaborative platforms, and were analyzed through content analysis to identify the communicative and pedagogical functions of emojis. The findings indicate that emojis help clarify emotional expression, support comprehension of messages, and encourage active student participation in online discussions. These results demonstrate that emojis not only serve as supplementary tools for digital communication but also contribute to creating a more engaging and supportive learning environment. Synthesizing the main ideas, this study extends the understanding of digital communication theory by highlighting the pedagogical value of emojis beyond their informal use on social media. In conclusion, emojis play a crucial role in strengthening interaction, fostering emotional presence, and enhancing learning outcomes in online language education. The issues in school learning are diverse, with several factors contributing to these challenges, including teachers, students, and the learning media used by teachers. Every teacher must continuously innovate in creating learning media that meet the needs of students. This can help minimize the challenges in teaching the Indonesian language in the classroom. Meanwhile, student learning factors and media also impact the Indonesian language learning process. Students often face difficulties in understanding the language or information being taught, which lowers their interest in learning. Additionally, the media used are often less effective and lack interactivity, failing to meet the current needs of students. This includes limited use of technology or a wide range of digital learning resources, indicating that the combination of student limitations and poor adaptation represents a significant challenge for effective and engaging Indonesian language learning.

This study investigates the effectiveness of media literacy training in enhancing high school students’ critical evaluation skills in the digital era. The research is motivated by the growing challenges of disinformation and fake news, which often influence young people’s perception of news and their decision-making processes. The objective of this study is to examine how structured media literacy training can transform students’ ability to critically analyze information, recognize fake news, and construct well-founded arguments. A qualitative research approach was employed, using content analysis of training materials, classroom workshops, observations, and reflective interviews or questionnaires to gather data. The participants were purposively selected high school students engaged in the media literacy program. The findings reveal significant improvements in students’ ability to identify the characteristics of fake news, verify information through reliable sources, and analyze media messages more systematically. Before the training, students tended to accept information uncritically, struggled to differentiate between facts and opinions, and relied heavily on social media as their primary source of information. After the training, however, they demonstrated more reflective and cautious behavior, cross-checking information from multiple credible sources and presenting arguments that linked news content with broader socio-political contexts. The study concludes that media literacy training plays a crucial role in equipping students with critical thinking skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the digital information landscape. Furthermore, it emphasizes the need for integrating media literacy into school curricula, supported by teacher training and sustainable educational policies, to ensure long-term resilience against disinformation.

English, a crucial global language, is essential in education and communication. In Indonesia, mastering English is vital, with the 2013 curriculum emphasizing the four skills: speaking, writing, listening, and reading. Reading comprehension, which integrates written content with prior knowledge, is particularly important. Various internal and external factors, such as word recognition, parental support, and educational media, impact students' reading comprehension. Digital media like Webtoon offer advantages such as accessibility and interactivity, making them valuable educational tools. This study examined how well the Webtoon platform taught reading comprehension to second-semester students at Bhinneka PGRI University's English Education Department in the academic year 2023–2024. Twenty-two individuals were chosen at random from the student body to make up the sample. This study employed a quantitative research approach with a pre-experimental design that included a one-group pretest, treatment, and post-test to determine the impact of Webtoon on reading comprehension skills. Using this strategy, the effectiveness of the intervention may be evaluated by contrasting pre- and post-test results. Students' reading comprehension scores increased dramatically after using Webtoon; on average, their scores went from 69.00 to 81.81. The data distribution was validated by normality tests, and a significant difference was found using a paired t-test (t(15) = -12.854, p < 0.001). These results showed how Webtoon improves reading comprehension and makes a good contribution to education by demonstrating creative uses of digital media in the classroom.Using this strategy, the effectiveness of the intervention may be evaluated by comparing pre- and post-test results.
