Non-hemorrhagic stroke occurs due to blockage of blood flow to the brain by a thrombus or embolus. The blockage results in focal neurological disorders that affect the musculoskeletal system, namely weakness in the extremities, which gives rise to nursing problems of impaired physical mobility. To overcome the problem of impaired physical mobility, rubber ball grip exercises (ball squeezing) are given. These exercises have been shown to increase muscle strength, prevent joint stiffness, and improve blood circulation. This scientific paper was conducted to determine the description of nursing care for non-hemorrhagic stroke patients with nursing problems of impaired physical mobility. During the meeting, the nurse provided rubber ball grip exercises (ball squeezing) for 10-15 minutes for 3 times in 24 hours. Evaluation of these actions showed that the patient who initially experienced weakness in the upper extremities with muscle strength 2-3 and after being given rubber ball grip exercises (ball squeezing), the problem of impaired physical mobility was resolved, as evidenced by the patient being able to perform therapy, the extremities feeling slightly lighter, and muscle strength 4. Therefore, it is recommended that non-hemorrhagic stroke patients be given rubber ball grip exercises (ball squeezing) to overcome impaired physical mobility.

The circulation of illegal cigarettes constitutes a serious problem that results in state financial losses and disrupts legal certainty in the excise sector. Although criminal provisions related to the circulation of illegal cigarettes have been explicitly regulated in statutory laws, law enforcement practices demonstrate a tendency to apply administrative sanctions rather than criminal sanctions. This study aims to analyze the regulation of criminal law concerning illegal cigarette circulation and to examine the implications of the dominance of administrative sanctions on the effectiveness of criminal law. The research employs a normative juridical method using statutory and conceptual approaches through library research on primary and secondary legal materials. The findings indicate that the main problem does not lie in the absence or contradiction of legal norms, but in the emergence of vague norms at the implementation level due to inconsistent application of criminal sanctions. This condition weakens legal certainty, reduces the deterrent effect of criminal law, and undermines the protection of public interests. This study emphasizes the importance of consistent application of criminal sanctions to ensure that criminal law functions effectively in addressing illegal cigarette circulation.

Emergency conditions refer to situations that require immediate intervention because they have the potential to threaten life, impair organ function, or cause disability if not managed promptly and appropriately. Status epilepticus is a neurological emergency defined by seizures lasting five minutes or longer, or by repeated seizures without regaining consciousness between episodes. Status epilepticus can develop in individuals both with and without a previous diagnosis of epilepsy and may result from a wide range of causes, such as metabolic abnormalities, infections of the central nervous system, stroke, head injury, sudden discontinuation of antiepileptic medications, and alcohol intoxication or withdrawal. Clinically, this condition is classified into convulsive and non-convulsive status epilepticus. The diagnosis is primarily clinical and must be established rapidly, while electroencephalography plays an important role, particularly in cases of non-convulsive status epilepticus. Management emphasizes initial stabilization of the airway, breathing, and circulation, after which benzodiazepines are given as first-line treatment, including intramuscular midazolam, intravenous lorazepam, or intravenous diazepam. Status epilepticus represents the most severe form of seizure activity, characterized by continuous, unremitting seizures accompanied by strong muscle contractions, respiratory compromise, and widespread abnormal electrical activity in the brain. If not treated promptly, the risk of permanent brain tissue damage increases and the condition may ultimately lead to death.

The Soxhlet extraction method uses repeated heating and solvent circulation to separate substances from mixtures, producing more extract faster than maceration with less solvent. However, this method requires pure solvents and is not suitable for thermolabile compounds as they can be degraded by heat. Soxhlet extraction is more effective for limited quantities of dry and fine herbal materials. This method is widely used to extract phytochemical compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, and curcumin, and has potential in cosmetic raw materials, herbal medicines, and antioxidant products. Although it uses more energy, this technique is efficient and continuous. Modern innovations such as combining it with Ultrasonic Assisted Extraction (UAE) or environmentally friendly microextraction are expected to increase extraction efficiency while reducing the use of organic solvents. Modifications to Soxhlet, including automation and assistive technologies such as high pressure, ultrasound, and microwaves, open up opportunities for commercialization and further research with more optimal results and more practical operations. The modified Soxhlet is considered a “panacea” in extraction due to the significant performance improvements achieved.

Gas turbine generators play an important role in providing electrical energy, especially in the maritime sector, but they are vulnerable to disturbances such as overcurrent and undervoltage, which can cause equipment damage. This study aims to design and test an automatic protection system based on the ESP32 microcontroller with the INA219 sensor to detect current and voltage, as well as a relay as a circuit breaker. The method used is an experimental approach including static and dynamic testing, both with and without a 5W AC lamp load as a simulation of real loading conditions. Test results show that the average sensor reading error is 2.65% for current and 1.76% for voltage, which is still within the ±3% tolerance limit. The system is able to disconnect the load when any parameter exceeds the protection threshold, although there are slight inconsistencies in the relay response due to sensor reading fluctuations. In conclusion, this automatic protection system is proven to be 85% accurate and responsive in maintaining the operational reliability of the gas turbine generator, making it applicable as a preventive solution against electrical disturbances in marine environments.

This research explores the impact of Cache Aware optimizations on signal processing pipelines in High Throughput computing systems. The growing demand for efficient memory management in modern computing systems, especially for data-intensive applications such as artificial intelligence (AI) and multimedia processing, necessitates the development of optimized memory hierarchies. Traditional memory systems often suffer from memory bottlenecks, significantly reducing the performance of these systems. This study investigates how memory hierarchy optimizations, particularly cache line aware optimization, dependency-aware caching, and adaptive cache replacement algorithms, can mitigate these challenges and improve system performance. Through analytical modeling and experimental benchmarking, this work evaluates various memory hierarchy configurations, including processing-in-memory (PIM) and three-dimensional integrated circuits (3D ICs), comparing them to conventional systems. The results demonstrate that Cache Aware optimizations lead to a reduction in memory access latency by up to 30%, while throughput improved by up to 40%. Additionally, cache hit rates increased by 25%, and energy consumption was reduced by up to 20%, highlighting the effectiveness of optimized memory management. The research contributes to the field by providing valuable insights into the design and implementation of efficient signal processing pipelines. It also identifies key challenges, including the need for dynamic occupancy mechanisms and DAG-aware scheduling algorithms, and suggests potential areas for future research, such as the exploration of collaborative caching approaches and further optimization of cache-adaptive algorithms. This work lays the foundation for more efficient, high-performance computing systems that can handle large datasets and complex tasks in real-time applications.

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) is the most common cause of peripheral vertigo, characterized by brief episodes of vertigo due to otoconia displacement. Although most previous studies have focused on intrinsic factors such as age, gender, osteoporosis, and metabolic disorders, evidence regarding the role of environmental factors, particularly occupational noise exposure, is limited. Chronic noise has the potential to affect vestibular function through both sensory and vascular mechanisms. This study aims to narratively review the effect of occupational noise exposure on the risk of BPPV by integrating clinical, epidemiological, and experimental findings. The method used is a literature-based narrative review of the PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases without year restrictions, using the keywords "BPPV", "occupational noise exposure", "vestibular dysfunction", "VEMP", and "otoconia displacement". The search results obtained 25 relevant articles linking BPPV to otolith, hormonal, vascular, lifestyle factors, and occupational noise exposure. The results indicate that chronic noise can cause sensory damage (otoconia and vestibular hair cells), vascular disorders (hypertension, cardiovascular disorders, and inner ear microvascular circulation disorders), and exacerbate lifestyle comorbidities (sedentary lifestyle, osteoporosis, hypertension, diabetes). The discussion confirms that these multifactorial mechanisms explain the susceptibility of industrial workers to BPPV despite normal hearing function. The conclusion of this study is that workplace noise exposure has been shown to play a significant role as a risk factor for BPPV, therefore, prevention strategies, vestibular health monitoring, and healthy lifestyle interventions need to be optimized in occupational health programs.

The increasing prevalence of metabolic syndrome and chronic kidney disease underscores the need for simple, low-cost, and community-applicable screening indicators. This study aimed to evaluate the association between basic anthropometric parameters and blood pressure, metabolic indicators, and renal function among adults in the Badui Luar community. A cross-sectional design was employed involving 41 participants who underwent anthropometric assessment, biochemical measurements, and blood pressure evaluation. Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine linear associations between variables. The results demonstrated that neck circumference exhibited significant correlations with dyslipidemia components, including LDL (r = 0.377), TC/HDL ratio (r = 0.516), and HDL (r = –0.433), indicating cervical adiposity as a strong marker of atherogenic risk. Calf circumference showed protective correlations with fasting glucose (r = –0.352) and eGFR (r = 0.322), suggesting the metabolic relevance of peripheral muscle mass in glycemic regulation and renal status. Body mass index showed a weak correlation with systolic blood pressure (r = 0.149), whereas waist and hip circumferences exhibited mild, clinically insignificant correlations with triglycerides and total cholesterol. Overall, these findings highlight that simple anthropometric measures—particularly neck and calf circumference—may serve as early indicators of cardiometabolic and renal risk in community-based screening. Further longitudinal studies with larger and more heterogeneous populations are required to validate these associations and determine the predictive power of anthropometric indicators.
