Electrical energy is a vital need to support daily life in various sectors such as industry, housing and government. In Indonesia, the majority of electrical energy is still produced from fossil fuel plants, which have significant environmental impacts and limited resources. Therefore, the development of renewable energy is crucial to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. One promising alternative is the Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH), which uses flowing water to produce electrical energy. This research focuses on the implementation of MHP in Babakan Banten Village, Bogor Regency, an area with the potential for abundant water flow throughout the year. This project aims to provide a reliable electricity supply for communities, most of whom do not yet have access to electricity from the national grid. This study includes the process of planning, assembling and testing the MHP system using field data such as river water discharge, land elevation (head) and other technical specifications. The measurement results show that the PLTMH with a generator capacity of 2 kW is able to meet the electricity needs of 18 houses in Babakan Village, Banten. System testing shows good operational stability with optimal turbine rotation at full load and results in accordance with planning. It is hoped that the implementation of this PLTMH will not only increase accessibility to sustainable electrical energy, but will also have a positive impact on the welfare of local communities. Utilization of locally available natural resources not only reduces dependence on conventional energy, but also becomes a real example of the application of technology for sustainable development in remote areas of Indonesia.

This research raises the theme of the existence of traditional Minangkabau food, specifically Lapek Barajuik among the Pakandangan community, to understand how well this food is currently thriving.  The main question posed is how to maintain its existence amidst the advancement of the times.  This research aims to describe the existence of this food and identify the obstacles faced by the community in enhancing its existence.  The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, through data collection from observation, interviews, and documentation.  Data analysis was conducted through data collection, reduction, display, and verification.  The research results show that Lapek Barajuik plays an important role in the culture of the Pakandangan community, known for its unique shape and taste, as well as being a symbol of identity and ancestral heritage.  Although there is interest from the community, including the younger generation, this food faces challenges such as competition with modern foods, seasonal nature, and lack of technological utilization in promotion.  In conclusion, the existence of Lapek Barajuik among the Pakandangan community, especially the older generation, is still preserved.  They appreciate this food as an important part of the culinary tradition.  Its appeal, especially its unique shape, creates a special impression when a son-in-law brings this food as a gift to the in-laws' house, making it symbolic in the family visit tradition.  On the other hand, the interest of the younger generation in it has declined due to the abundance of modern food variations, although they still like this dish, as evidenced during certain events where Lapek Barajuik became a choice and was favored by the community.

Farmers utilize non-timber forest products, including Pennisetum purpureum, Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott, various weeds, and tree leaves such as Swietenia mahagoni, sengon (Albizia chinensis), and mindi (Melia azedarach) for livestock feed. Timber forest products like Swietenia mahagoni, sengon, gembilina (Gmelina arborea), balsa (Ochroma grandiflorum), and salam (Syzygium polyanthum) are used for firewood and livestock pens. The SWOT analysis recommends sustainable strategies, including monitoring forest resource use, optimizing sharecropping land for forage planting, empowering farmers through conservation programs, and enhancing goat and sheep farming. The QSPM analysis emphasizes the importance of government and Perhutani support in ensuring sustainable forest resource utilization. Strengthening institutional collaboration and promoting agroforestry-based livestock farming could further enhance sustainability and reduce dependence on forest resources.
