Islamic Religious Education is a subject aimed at fostering noble character and instilling spiritual values in students. One indicator of the success of our education system is the success in strengthening faith and piety as well as cultivating noble character. The nobility of character and morals is a tangible measure of the goals of national education. However, the reality is that Islamic Religious Education in schools today is more bound to the school system, which is more focused on teacher-centered learning approaches. Educators play a vital role in achieving the desired learning outcomes in the teaching and learning process. Meanwhile, students act as both subjects and objects in applying the contextual teaching and learning method. Teachers can use various methods to convey information to students (transfer knowledge), whether it is related to teaching materials or global perspectives. The process of knowledge transfer through conventional methods can no longer be sustained, as society expects students to be intelligent and responsive to the times, not merely passive observers and listeners. The breakthrough offered by education experts is a new concept called contextual teaching and learning (CTL). This method is not merely about transferring knowledge from teacher to student but also empowers students to engage, experiment, and reconstruct the material they learn from the teacher, correlating it with their real-life experiences. The hope is that they can solve various problems in their lives, families, and communities. This research focuses on three aspects: character education, religious character, and character education through a contextual approach aimed at forming religious character. Based on this discussion, the objective of this paper is to understand: Character Education, Religious Character, and Character Education through a Contextual Approach in shaping Religious Character. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature study.

Many Muslim communities still consider business ethics to be unimportant in business activities, because business is nothing more than just seeking profit. This study will discuss how business ethics are in the perspective of the Qur'an. This study includes library research, namely research that examines data sourced from library materials, using the thematic interpretation method. This study is based on the interpretation of verses of the Qur'an that directly discuss business morality and verses that do not directly discuss business morality. Business in the Qur'an is both material and immaterial. Where business in the Qur'an does not only prioritize material profit but also spiritual profit. The existence of business morality cannot be separated from the business itself. The business morality of the Qur'an contains basic business values such as the values of unity, balance, free will, accountability, and ihsan. Then it gives birth to business morality which is free from elements of falsehood, damage and injustice such as usury, fraud, reducing the measure or fraud, corruption, bribery, gambling, gharar and hoarding and so on. Then business in the Qur'an highly prioritizes hasanah values such as honesty, trustworthiness, fairness, social responsibility, istiqomah, tolerance and friendliness in business life. Thus, business ethics in the Qur'an are not only oriented towards fulfilling the needs and welfare of life in the world, but also business as a means of goodness for safety in the hereafter.

Education plays a strategic role as a tool for social transformation capable of shaping individual character, addressing social inequality, and driving societal change. In the Indonesian context, character education has become a central issue in building a generation that is faithful, pious, morally upright, and responsible in accordance with the values of Pancasila. Through a holistic approach, character education integrates spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and social aspects to create quality individuals. Furthermore, learning methods that involve role modeling, habituation, and community participation emphasize the importance of collaboration between schools, families, and communities. As an agent of change, education also aims to create a knowledge-based society where science, innovation, and problem-solving serve as key pillars. Through lifelong learning, problem-based learning, and collaborative approaches, education provides space for the development of human potential relevant to global challenges. However, challenges such as educational disparities, curriculum relevance, and teacher capacity remain obstacles that need to be addressed through inclusive policies, continuous training, and improvements in educational infrastructure. By adopting an integrated approach, education can serve as a solid foundation for building a just, inclusive, and adaptive society in response to social changes.
