This research raises the theme of the existence of traditional Minangkabau food, specifically Lapek Barajuik among the Pakandangan community, to understand how well this food is currently thriving.  The main question posed is how to maintain its existence amidst the advancement of the times.  This research aims to describe the existence of this food and identify the obstacles faced by the community in enhancing its existence.  The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, through data collection from observation, interviews, and documentation.  Data analysis was conducted through data collection, reduction, display, and verification.  The research results show that Lapek Barajuik plays an important role in the culture of the Pakandangan community, known for its unique shape and taste, as well as being a symbol of identity and ancestral heritage.  Although there is interest from the community, including the younger generation, this food faces challenges such as competition with modern foods, seasonal nature, and lack of technological utilization in promotion.  In conclusion, the existence of Lapek Barajuik among the Pakandangan community, especially the older generation, is still preserved.  They appreciate this food as an important part of the culinary tradition.  Its appeal, especially its unique shape, creates a special impression when a son-in-law brings this food as a gift to the in-laws' house, making it symbolic in the family visit tradition.  On the other hand, the interest of the younger generation in it has declined due to the abundance of modern food variations, although they still like this dish, as evidenced during certain events where Lapek Barajuik became a choice and was favored by the community.

Crop rotation is one of the most effective agricultural and has significant benefits in improving soil fertility, assessing health and disease, and increasing the efficiency of natural resource utilization. Agricultural strategies that have important benefits in improving soil fertility, assessing health and disease, and increasing the efficiency of natural resource utilization. To maximize nutrient utilization and reduce the risk of certain pests associated with a crop, this practice involves reducing the types of crops grown on the same land in the relevant cycle. To maximize nutrient utilization and reduce the risk of certain pests associated with a crop, this practice involves reducing the types of crops grown on the same land in the relevant cycle. In addition, crop rotation helps improve soil structure, increase cation exchange capacity (CEC), and reduce dependence on chemicals and pests. The study employed a library analysis method by reviewing several previous studies on the impact of crop rotation on agricultural productivity and soil ecology. The results showed that crop rotation can increase nitrogen levels in the soil by up to 20%, reduce pesticide use by up to 50%, and increase air use efficiency, especially in areas with limited air supply. In addition, this practice helps create a more stable agricultural ecosystem by increasing biodiversity, such as reducing the number of natural enemies of pests. The findings of this study indicate that crop rotation is a practice that not only increases crop yields but also strengthens the principle of sustainability. With proper maintenance, crop rotation can be an effective solution to reduce land degradation, improve food security, and improve ecological balance in modern food systems. resilience, and improve ecological balance in modern agricultural systems.

Spinach (Amaranthus spp.) is a vegetable plant that is highly dependent on the availability of light and nutrients for its growth. Proper spacing plays an important role in influencing a plant's access to light and nutrients, which ultimately impacts its yield. This study examines the impact of planting distance on light and nutrient competition in spinach. Planting spacing that is too tight can lead to intense competition between plants, reduce the efficiency of photosynthesis, and increase the risk of etiolation in lower plants. On the contrary, planting spacing that is too wide reduces land use efficiency and increases the likelihood of weed growth. The ideal planting distance ranges from 15-20 cm between plants, which ensures maximum utilization of light and nutrients without resulting in excessive competition, thus supporting optimal growth and yield

This analysis explores the utilization and impact of various forms of figurative language in the script of the movie "Moana." The study delves into six types of figurative language: simile, metaphor, hyperbole, paradox, irony, and personification. The choice to focus on these six types is rooted in the writer's deep understanding of these specific forms, allowing for a more thorough and nuanced analysis. Through a meticulous examination of the script, it is revealed that personification and metaphor are the most prevalent, contributing significantly to the narrative depth and cultural richness of the film. The personification, in particular, enlivens it as a character and underscores its cultural significance in Polynesian lore. Additionally, metaphors and similes are instrumental in character descriptions and thematic elaboration, while hyperbole and irony inject humor and complexity into the storyline. Paradoxes are employed to provoke critical thinking about the story's underlying themes. Ultimately, this analysis underscores the indispensable role of figurative language in enriching the storytelling of "Moana" and enhancing its emotional resonance.
