This study delves into the intricacies of the Maritime Education and Training (MET) program at the Maritime Institute Jakarta (STIP Jakarta), focusing on Semester 3 cadets. Adopting a qualitative and descriptive research approach, the research aims to elucidate the perspectives of 240 cadets through the lens of academic self-checked intelligence, professional competences, motivations, and their interconnections. The findings reveal diverse self-checked intelligence profiles across Nautical, Technical, and Port and Shipping Management majors, necessitating a nuanced curriculum tailored to their distinct strengths. English communication emerges as a pivotal professional competence, urging a strategic enhancement of language instruction to equip cadets for effective communication in the global maritime community. Motivations driving cadet dedication encompass familial legacies, a love for the sea, and the pursuit of international exposure. Recognising and nurturing these intrinsic motivators emerges as a crucial element for sustaining cadet engagement. The positive correlation between self-checked intelligence and professional competences underscores the importance of tailored support mechanisms, prompting recommendations for mentorship programs and supplementary resources. Implications for STIP Jakarta include the need for continuous quality improvement through periodic curriculum reviews, fostering a holistic approach that combines technical proficiency with soft skills. The research contributes to the discourse on maritime education, offering a roadmap for institutions to navigate industry dynamics and diverse cadet needs. The findings, discussions, and recommendations collectively enrich the understanding of Semester 3 cadet perspectives, offering actionable insights for educators, administrators, and policymakers to refine and elevate maritime education at STIP Jakarta.

Assistance in learning English for elementary school-age children is an important process in developing their langua2ge skills. This mentoring program is designed to introduce children to English in a fun and effective way. This includes the use of a variety of learning methods appropriate to the developmental level of the children. This English learning assistance for primary school age children aims to create a positive and fun learning environment, stimulate children's interest in English, and help them develop communication skills that will be useful throughout their lives. The method used is learning chili singing. This learning assistance is carried out 3 times in 1 week from 19.00 to completion. Based on the padaevaluation and observation results, there is an increase in student learning motivation and students' understanding of English.

When communicating, a person always has a message in the communication he conveys just like a teacher who has a message to students. In this article the method used is a type of qualitative research that studies and or collects data in the form of sentences that are separated by categories to obtain conclusions. The conclusion that can be obtained is that communication skills are very influential with the learning model carried out and the effectiveness of the learning process.

This research aims to explore how talent management impacts employee retention. This research uses quantitative and qualitative approach with literature review as the data collection method, so the data obtained is secondary data. Based on the 10 research articles that have been collected, talent management strategy influences employee retention, which is also related to employee satisfaction and engagement in an organization. The results showed that employee satisfaction and employee engagement positively influence employee retention. Employee satisfaction and involvement can be in the form of work fields that match their skills and knowledge, compensation given in accordance with workload, superior leadership and organizational culture, supervisor support and attention, as well as supportive communication in the work environment. The conclusion is that it is important for organizations to implement effective talent management strategies in managing their employees.

The huge availability of cassava raw materials can be utilized as a substitute or substitute for wheat, so breakthrough technology is needed to be able to modify cassava by increasing its usability so that it is suitable as a substitute for wheat flour in the processing of food products, such as cookies, bread, and noodles (Zulaidah, 2011). Another effort that can be made is to develop cassava flour derivative products, namely mocaf flour (Modified Cassava Fluor). Since many housewives produce cakes in Kebontemu village, the village is known as "Kampung Kue" (Kebontemu, 2023). However, very few people know about mocaf flour. Whereas mocaf is an alternative to wheat flour which is cheaper but has a higher nutritional value and is healthier. it is hoped that this training can be an important milestone in encouraging economic growth, especially the Kebon Temu Village Community, Peterongan Jombang. the participants of this training were attended by 20 mothers who often make processed wet cake snacks made from wheat flour. the following (1) continue training in making various cakes made from local cassava on a regular basis, (2) update information about business phenomena, especially in the digital era while still paying attention to aspects of improving communication skills:Training as a local cassava-based cake maker can help participants improve their communication skills. Mathematics is a scientific field that investigates formless structures and forms of interaction within them. Mathematical interaction is a powerful tool used to express mathematical opinions verbally or in writing. The Think-Talk-Write (TTW) learning approach is designed to facilitate the construction, reflection, and organization of new mathematical views. This study aims to explore the efficacy of using TTW learning examples as a tactic to enhance the quality of students' mathematical communication, and to assess the impact of this approach. In order to achieve these goals, researchers used classroom action research in two stages of testing. The study involved 21 students in grade VIII at SMP Parulian 1 Medan. The initial ability test revealed that the students' mathematical communication ability scores were 34.2%. After conducting test activities in cycle I, the average mathematical communication ability of students rose to 36.8%. In the second cycle (II), the percentage result increased to 88%. The results of the research demonstrate that students in Class VIII at SMP Parulian 1 Medan experience a significant improvement in their mathematical communication skills through learning via the Think-Talk-Write model. We can conclude that this approach is an effective way to enhance students' mathematical communication skills.

The development of digital technology and social media has driven a major transformation in the study of linguistics, particularly in understanding the evolution of global languages and the emergence of digital dialects. Interactions on platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok accelerate the formation of new vocabulary, the use of slang, and the spread of cross-cultural expression. Antony and Tramboo (2023) highlight the digital metamorphosis in language, while Friedrich and De Figueiredo (2016) explain the birth of digital Englishes in a sociolinguistic perspective. Language research challenges on social media have also emerged, such as the limitations of dialect processing (Jørgensen et al., 2015) and the influence of digital linguistic ecology (Klushina, 2022). Advances in natural language processing (NLP) have also strengthened this study. Cambria and White (2014) and Skaria et al. (2024) show the development of NLP from sentiment analysis to its application in education (Khensous et al., 2023) and multilingual text analysis (Agüero-Torales et al., 2021). The systematic review of Sundaram et al. (2023) and Prihatini et al. (2023) reinforces the evidence that social media expands language skills and enriches contemporary discourse, while Sun et al. (2021) show an increasing trend of digital linguistic research through bibliometric analysis, including cultural gaps (Rani & Samjetsabam, 2024). Overall, language not only evolves naturally, but also through human interaction with technology and digital culture. Digital dialects, slang, and online communication patterns are part of the global linguistic evolution that opens up interdisciplinary research opportunities between linguistics, computing, and cultural studies.

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) method on the mathematical communication skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 9 Pematangsiantar after applying the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) method. The type of research used is experimental research. In this research the author used a quantitative approach. The design used in this research is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research involved an experimental class that was treated with the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning method and then given pre-test and post-test treatment to draw conclusions. For more details, see table 3.1 below. The research results obtained showed that the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) method had an influence on students' mathematical communication skills, reaching an average pre-test score in the Experiment class of 48.63, while the average score was 48.63. Post-test average in the Experiment class was 78.63. This proves that the Experimental class has further improved abilities after being given treatment using the TAPPS Method.
