Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the regional economy, including in Tatanga District and Nunu Village, Palu City. However, many MSME actors in these areas still face fundamental challenges such as low financial literacy, limited access to capital, and insufficient use of digital technology in business management. These limitations lead to weak financial record-keeping, poor cash flow management, and inadequate readiness to meet bankability requirements when applying for financing from formal financial institutions. This community service program was designed to improve the understanding and practical skills of MSME actors through financial literacy socialization, financial inclusion education, capital training in collaboration with financial institutions, and training in simple financial record preparation. The program was implemented using needs assessments through observation, structured material delivery, interactive discussions, hands-on transaction recording practice, and learning evaluations through pretests and posttests. The results show a significant improvement in participants’ competencies. Average scores for financial literacy and inclusion increased from 48% to 89%, indicating better understanding of cash flow management, transaction recording, and the use of digital financial services such as QRIS and mobile banking. Furthermore, participants’ understanding of capital access improved from 51% to 92%, particularly regarding financing procedures, business eligibility requirements, and the importance of financial statements in loan applications. Overall, the program effectively strengthened MSME capacity to manage businesses in a more structured, adaptive, and professional manner, supporting MSME independence and long-term business sustainability in Tatanga District and Nunu Village.

Advances in information technology have led to digital transformation in various business sectors, including small businesses such as campus canteens. Currently, the Basement 40 Canteen at Pamulang University still uses manual methods for menu selection and order analysis, which causes a number of problems, including poor service, difficulties in the recording process, and a lack of transparency in the workplace. The purpose of this study is to develop a web-based application that uses the Kanban method to improve operational efficiency and create clearer work processes. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative with Agile system development based on the Kanban methodology. Direct observation, interviews with canteen managers, and document analysis were used to collect data. The implementation of Kanban involves the use of visuals to display the work process in three stages: "To Do, Doing, and Done" calculating the amount of work in progress (WIP), and continuously making adjustments. The findings of the study indicate that the application created facilitates menu selection, simplifies order status monitoring, and reduces difficulties in the delivery process. The results of the evaluation regarding the use of the system indicate that this system is easy to use and can improve work effectiveness and efficiency. This research is expected to provide a practical overview of the campus digitalization process and enhance academic understanding of the application of Agile methods in small-scale business information systems.

Abstract: Character education has become a critical challenge in secondary education, particularly in learning contexts that emphasize cognitive achievement over affective and behavioral development. Although Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is widely recognized for its potential to foster collaboration and responsibility, character outcomes are often treated implicitly and rarely evaluated systematically. This study aims to develop and evaluate a character-oriented Project-Based Learning framework using a Design-Based Research (DBR) methodology in Islamic secondary education. The research was conducted through iterative design cycles involving problem analysis, instructional design, implementation, evaluation, and refinement. Explicit character indicators were embedded into each phase of the PjBL process and assessed using quantitative and qualitative instruments. Statistical analysis of pretest and posttest data revealed significant improvements in students’ character-related outcomes following the implementation of the proposed framework. Qualitative findings further indicated enhanced student engagement, collaboration, and social responsibility during project activities. The results demonstrate that integrating explicit character indicators into PjBL through a DBR approach enhances the effectiveness of character education beyond conventional instructional practices. This study contributes to the literature by providing a structured and empirically validated framework that bridges Project-Based Learning, Design-Based Research, and character education. The proposed framework offers practical implications for educators seeking to integrate affective learning objectives into active learning environments.

The Ten Scholars per Village Scholarship Program (SESAR) is an initiative of the Bojonegoro Regency Government to expand access to higher education for rural communities. This study evaluates the implementation of the program using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The evaluation was conducted through interviews, document analysis, observations, and information from program implementers to assess policy relevance, resource readiness, process quality, and achieved outcomes. The results indicate that the program is relevant to the goal of educational equity; however, the distribution of beneficiaries has not been even due to differences in the number of applicants and socio-economic conditions among villages. In terms of context, the program aligns with the need for equitable access to higher education, although beneficiary distribution remains uneven. From the input perspective, regulations and funding are adequate, but administrative requirements and higher education accreditation criteria still limit potential applicants. Regarding the process, the selection mechanism follows the established guidelines; nevertheless, socialization remains insufficient, document verification poses challenges, and fund disbursement is often delayed. In the product aspect, the program provides tangible benefits by supporting the continuity of higher education for rural students, although its overall effectiveness still requires improvement.

Puger Kulon Village, located in Puger District, Jember Regency, is a coastal area in East Java with significant marine and fisheries potential. Most of the population earns their living as fishermen and small-scale fishery product processors (MSMEs). Unfortunately, the capacity of MSMEs in this area is still very limited, both in terms of technical skills and product variety. Processed fish products produced by the community are mostly shrimp paste and shredded fish. This community service activity aims to increase knowledge and additional skills for coastal MSMEs regarding the diversification of local processed fish products by encouraging the development of various processed fish products as an effort to increase product added value such as fish nuggets, fish balls, fish dumplings, and fish dim sum. The method used is counseling and technical training with direct practice in diversifying various fish products (fish nuggets, fish balls, dumplings, and fish dim sum). Evaluation was carried out using a pretest and posttest approach on 20 MSME participants using a knowledge assessment instrument. The results showed an increase in knowledge regarding fish processing diversification, with an average score of 74 before the training, increasing to 93 after the training, a 27% increase.
