This study aims to develop an effective predictive model for identifying students at risk of academic dropout using the Decision Tree and Linear Regression algorithms. The data used are sourced from the public Kaggle dataset Students Dropout and Academic Success, which includes demographic, socioeconomic, and academic performance variables for each semester. The research method includes data preprocessing stages, such as data cleaning, label encoding for categorical variables, numeric feature normalization, and target class adjustment to focus on binary classification, namely Dropout and Graduate. The modeling process is carried out by comparing the performance of the two algorithms using evaluation metrics of accuracy, precision, and recall. The results show that the Decision Tree algorithm has superior performance compared to Linear Regression in mapping non-linear patterns in student data. Feature importance analysis revealed that the number of curricular units in the second semester and tuition payment status are the main predictors of dropout risk. These findings are expected to assist educational institutions in implementing early interventions to improve student academic success.

Aortic dissection is a cardiovascular emergency characterized by a tear in the aortic intima layer and the formation of a false lumen, posing risks of fatal complications such as rupture and organ malperfusion. Stanford type B dissections may be managed conservatively; however, complicated cases require intervention. Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR) has emerged as the preferred modality, offering lower perioperative morbidity and mortality compared to open surgery. To report the first TEVAR procedure performed in Manado on a patient with Stanford type B aortic dissection, highlighting the technical approach, operative challenges, and clinical outcomes. A 62-year-old male with a history of hypertension and chronic chest pain was referred following a CT angiography that revealed a Stanford type B aortic dissection with an entry site in the proximal descending aorta. TEVAR was performed with stent-graft placement in zone 2 and a chimney graft to preserve perfusion of the left subclavian artery (LSA). Intraoperative aortography confirmed false lumen exclusion without endoleak. The patient showed significant clinical improvement and recovered without postoperative complications. The procedure was technically and clinically successful, with no major complications. Postoperative evaluation confirmed stable stent position and maintained LSA perfusion. This case demonstrates that TEVAR can be safely implemented in non-tertiary regional hospitals with thorough preparation. The first TEVAR procedure in Manado illustrates that this technique can be an effective solution for complicated type B aortic dissections. This experience marks a milestone in the development of endovascular services in resource-limited settings and may serve as a reference for similar institutions in Indonesia.

The increasing prevalence of metabolic syndrome and chronic kidney disease underscores the need for simple, low-cost, and community-applicable screening indicators. This study aimed to evaluate the association between basic anthropometric parameters and blood pressure, metabolic indicators, and renal function among adults in the Badui Luar community. A cross-sectional design was employed involving 41 participants who underwent anthropometric assessment, biochemical measurements, and blood pressure evaluation. Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine linear associations between variables. The results demonstrated that neck circumference exhibited significant correlations with dyslipidemia components, including LDL (r = 0.377), TC/HDL ratio (r = 0.516), and HDL (r = –0.433), indicating cervical adiposity as a strong marker of atherogenic risk. Calf circumference showed protective correlations with fasting glucose (r = –0.352) and eGFR (r = 0.322), suggesting the metabolic relevance of peripheral muscle mass in glycemic regulation and renal status. Body mass index showed a weak correlation with systolic blood pressure (r = 0.149), whereas waist and hip circumferences exhibited mild, clinically insignificant correlations with triglycerides and total cholesterol. Overall, these findings highlight that simple anthropometric measures—particularly neck and calf circumference—may serve as early indicators of cardiometabolic and renal risk in community-based screening. Further longitudinal studies with larger and more heterogeneous populations are required to validate these associations and determine the predictive power of anthropometric indicators.

This student aims to determine how BPNT contributes community in Sipatana District, Gorontalo City. Method used is qualitative findings show that the implementation of BPNT in Sipatana District, particularly in Molosipat U and Tanggikiki sub-districts, has been carried out in accordance with the statutory regulations of 2019 regarding the indicators of power distribution and actor strategies, without any personal intervention in determining beneficiary eligibility. Regarding the characteristics of the implementing institutions, coordination among agencies from the district level to RT/RW has run well and has been conducted transparently and participatively to ensure that the assistance is well-targeted. However, on the indicators of implementer compliance and responsiveness, several obstacles are still found such as delays in disbursement, a lack of direct socialization to the community, and slow responses from the sub-district office in handling complaints from beneficiary families (KPM). These conditions lead to a lack of optimal understanding among beneficiaries regarding the mechanism of aid distribution. Additionally, the impact of BPNT on improving beneficiary welfare remains consumptive in nature and has not fully encouraged economic independence among poor households. Therefore, improvements in service effectiveness, two-way communication, and periodic evaluation are required to enhance BPNT’s contribution in reducing poverty rates and achieving sustainable community welfare.

Steganography is a method to hide confidential messages in digital media so that they are not detected by unauthorized parties. Unlike cryptography which protects the content of messages through encryption, steganography hides the message itself. One popular technique is the Least Significant Bit (LSB), which replaces the least important bit on the pixel with a secret message bit. However, conventional LSB methods such as 1-bit or 3-bit have limitations due to the compromise between insertion capacity and visual quality of the media. This study proposes an LSB-based video steganography method with an adaptive multi-bit embedding approach. This technique determines the number and position of bits that are dynamically inserted based on the local brightness and texture levels of each video frame, with Laplacian operators used to analyze both high and low textured areas. The process includes frame and audio extraction, frame-by-frame embedding, inserted video reconstruction, and decoding using video cover references. The evaluation was carried out quantitatively using the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) metrics, as well as qualitatively through visual comparison. The results showed that the adaptive multi-bit method was able to maintain visual quality with a PSNR of 45.23 dB and SSIM of 0.9424, and increased the insertion capacity by up to 2–3 times compared to the 1-bit adaptive method. Thus, this approach effectively balances imperceptibility and insertion capacity on dynamic video steganography systems.

Educational inequality persists across ASEAN despite improvements in enrollment and literacy, reflecting structural rather than merely access-related challenges. This study examines how governance structures, financing mechanisms, institutional capacity, and socio-economic stratification interact to produce disparities in educational access, participation, and progression. Using a qualitative-dominant mixed-methods design with cross-national comparative policy analysis, the research integrates macro-level quantitative indicators with in-depth qualitative evaluation of policy frameworks across ASEAN member states. Findings reveal that while primary enrollment approaches universality, secondary and tertiary education exhibit pronounced attrition, particularly among rural, low-income, and minority populations. Centralized governance, equitable public financing, and targeted support correlate with higher retention and reduced disparities, as evidenced in high-performing systems such as Singapore, whereas decentralized or under-resourced systems exacerbate structural inequities. Moreover, digital access and institutional capacity emerge as critical factors influencing educational trajectories. The study underscores that addressing inequality requires systemic reforms integrating governance coordination, progressive financing, institutional strengthening, and equity-focused interventions. By foregrounding structural determinants and cross-national variation, this research contributes to theoretical and policy debates on educational equity, providing evidence-based guidance for ASEAN strategies aimed at achieving inclusive, high-quality education across diverse socio-economic and geographic contexts.
