The documentary film “Pedal Waktu Jalanan Bandung” was a final project that explored a vintage bicycle community known as Paguyuban Sapedah Baheula Bandoeng (PSBB). The creation of this work is driven by a concern over the gradual disappearance of onthel bicycles amidst the wave of modernization in the city of Bandung. This project aimed to document the scriptwriting process of a documentary film by applying an expository narrative approach, in which the writer served as the scriptwriter. The film was developed through three main stages: pre- production, production, and post-production. During the pre-production phase, the writer conducted in-depth research and field observations, and developed a script framework, synopsis, treatment, and interview questions. The production phase involved filming, conducting interviews, and recording voice-over narration. Post- production included visual and audio editing as well as finalizing the distribution through the YouTube platform. The final result was a documentary that not only delivered historical information but also raised emotional awareness about the importance of preserving traditional values. In conclusion, the application of an expository narrative successfully strengthened the storytelling structure and provided a deeper understanding of the vintage bicycle community in Bandung.

This research addresses skin abnormalities in acne-prone individuals by exploring the effectiveness of natural face masks as preventive care. Specifically, it analyzes the impact of a face mask made from guava leaves and rice flour, applied once every seven days over a two-month period. The study adopts a quasi-experimental approach using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design, with participants selected from the 2020 cohort of Universitas Negeri Padang through purposive sampling. Data were collected via observation, documentation, and assessment sheets, and analyzed using Normality, Homogeneity, and Hypothesis Tests. The Normality Test results indicate that the data is normally distributed, as the significance (Sig.) values for all indicators—color (0.200), shape (0.082), volume (0.109), and amount (0.082)—are above the alpha value of 0.05. Similarly, the Homogeneity Test shows significance values greater than 0.05 for all indicators, confirming that the data is homogeneous. The Hypothesis Test, conducted using a T-test, reveals significant differences between the control and treatment groups, with p-values below 0.05 for all indicators: color (<0.001), shape (0.002), volume (0.003), and amount (0.008). These findings lead to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha), indicating a significant effect of the guava leaf and rice flour face mask treatment on acne-prone skin. In conclusion, the study confirms that the treatment group (X2) experienced significant improvements compared to the control group (X1).

Priapism is a urological emergency that can cause permanent disability so it requires fast and precise treatment by a doctor, we recently treated a man with intermittent idiopathic ischemic priapism with oral gabapentin 300 mg and dutasteride 0.5 mg, Before we decided on pharmacological therapy as an effort to prevent recurrent episodes of erection, we had planned invasive therapy as a first-line therapy option, namely aspiration, irrigation, inter cavernosal therapy with winter procedure, but before we had time to do the procedure the penis had detumescence so we canceled the procedure considering that massive bleeding occurred and there was no clinical benefit if the procedure was continued, the treatment immediately showed results after administration with a decrease in the frequency and duration of erections. In the second week the patient came back to our hospital emergency room, we planned the same action winter procedure but before we could do it the penis had detumescence, we gave additional pharmacological therapy Dutasteride 1x0.5 mg, After giving a combination of gabapentin and dutasteride for 2 weeks and we noted no reports of recurrent erectile episodes after and after stopping the drugs there were no reports of recurrent erectile episodes. Gabapentin and Dutasteride may be the main safe choice for the management of intermittent idiopathic ischemic priapism.

In the Islamic perspective, blood donation is not only viewed from a medical perspective, but also from the perspective of sharia law and ethics that regulate the treatment of blood and the human body. This study aims to comprehensively examine the law, ethics, and benefits of blood donation according to Islamic perspective, and to provide a systematic understanding in order to eliminate doubts in the Muslim community regarding the issue of blood donation. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were collected from various library sources such as books, journal articles, fatwas, and relevant official documents, then analyzed descriptively-qualitatively to identify the main themes related to the law and ethics of blood donation in Islam. The results of the study show that the majority of scholars allow blood donation in emergency conditions to save lives, based on the fiqh principle of ad-darurat tubihul mahzurat (emergency conditions allow what is forbidden) and maqasid sharia (hifz al-nafs/protecting the soul). Blood donation is also considered a highly recommended social charity and worship, and can even reach the level of fardhu kifayah, as long as it does not endanger the donor and is done sincerely. In addition, blood donation has health benefits for both donors and recipients.

Physical modification of starch using microwave heat treatment (MHT) technology serves as an efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to enhance the functional properties of starch without chemical additives. This article aims to examine the influence of microwave power and heating duration on the swelling power and solubility of various starch types, including tapioca, taro, sago, and lotus rhizome. A review of four studies revealed that power and time parameters significantly affect the crystalline structure of starch granules, resulting in either enhancement or reduction of their functional properties. High power or prolonged heating may decrease swelling power due to crystal restructuring and granule disruption, while solubility increases as a result of amylose and amylopectin degradation. MHT has proven to accelerate the heating process in a volumetric and efficient manner, improving water absorption capacity and viscosity. Despite its drawback of uneven heat distribution, this method remains relevant as a physical modification technique aligned with green processing principles in the food industry.

Thyroid cancer is the most common endocrine malignancy, with a steadily increasing incidence rate. Although the overall survival rate is relatively high, the risk of recurrence after definitive treatment such as Radioactive Iodine (RAI) therapy remains a significant clinical challenge. Predicting recurrence risk is crucial for optimizing monitoring strategies and interventions. With advances in technology, machine learning (ML) approaches are increasingly utilized to support medical predictions, including the recurrence of thyroid cancer. This study aims to evaluate the performance of four classification algorithms—Logistic Regression, XGBClassifier, Random Forest Classifier, and Voting Classifier—in predicting thyroid cancer recurrence using the Thyroid Cancer Recurrence After RAI Therapy dataset, which consists of 383 patient records and 13 key clinical attributes. The evaluation was conducted using accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and area under the curve (AUC) metrics. The results show that the XGBClassifier is the best-performing model with an accuracy of 97.4% and an AUC of 0.95, demonstrating superior performance in handling the minority class. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more effective machine learning–based clinical decision support systems for predicting thyroid cancer recurrence after therapy.

Acute glomerulonephritis (AGN) is a sudden inflammation of the glomeruli in the kidneys, commonly triggered by an immunologic reaction to bacterial or viral infections, especially group A beta-hemolytic Streptococcus. AGN is most frequently found in children aged 2–10 years, with a higher prevalence in males. One of the most typical forms is post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis (PSGN), which appears approximately 1–2 weeks after a pharyngeal or skin infection. The pathogenesis of PSGN involves immune complex formation and complement activation, leading to glomerular injury characterized by hematuria, proteinuria, edema, and hypertension. Diagnosis is based on clinical symptoms, laboratory findings such as elevated ASO titers and decreased C3 levels, and occasionally renal biopsy. Management of PSGN is primarily supportive, including fluid restriction, diuretics, and antihypertensive therapy. In severe cases, corticosteroids, dialysis, or antibiotics may be necessary. The prognosis is generally favorable with proper treatment, although complications such as hypertensive encephalopathy and acute kidney injury may occur. Therefore, early detection and adequate management are crucial to prevent disease progression.
