This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of narcotics rehabilitation for offenders who reoffend after undergoing rehabilitation, using a case study at the Bukittinggi Police Resort (Polresta Bukittinggi) and rehabilitation institutions. This research is motivated by the continued occurrence of narcotics offenders who relapse into criminal behavior despite having completed medical and social rehabilitation programs as mandated by Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. The research method used is empirical juridical with a qualitative approach through interviews, literature review, and case documentation. Primary data were obtained from investigators at Polresta Bukittinggi and rehabilitation institutions, while secondary data were obtained from laws and regulations as well as relevant literature. The results indicate that the investigation process leading to rehabilitation has been conducted in accordance with applicable procedures through assessment mechanisms by the Integrated Assessment Team (Tim Asesmen Terpadu). However, the effectiveness of rehabilitation in preventing recidivism remains suboptimal, as evidenced by offenders who return to narcotics abuse after completing rehabilitation programs. This suggests that rehabilitation programs require continuous supervision and more comprehensive approaches, including medical, psychological, and social aspects, to minimize the risk of relapse among former narcotics abusers.

This meta-analysis systematically examines the psychological effects of the Gaza blockade on the mental health of affected populations, synthesizing data from 47 studies with 31,842 participants published between 2007 and 2024. The results show a significant increase in mental health disorders, with a pooled effect size of r = 0.73 (95% CI [0.68, 0.78]). PTSD was the most prevalent at 73.2%, followed by depression at 68.7%, and anxiety at 65.4%, highlighting the severe psychological impact. Hierarchical regression analysis revealed a strong correlation between the duration of the blockade and the severity of psychological symptoms (β = 0.68, p < .001). Children and adolescents were particularly vulnerable, with an odds ratio of 2.84 for developing complex trauma. Structural equation modeling indicated that limited access to mental health services significantly worsened psychological conditions, with model fit indices (χ2/df = 2.34, CFI = 0.96, RMSEA = 0.058). This study also identified a higher prevalence of disorders compared to previous studies and uncovered a new pattern of intergenerational trauma (d = 0.82). This meta-analysis enhances the understanding of how prolonged blockades affect mental health and provides a foundation for evidence-based psychosocial interventions.

This study comprehensively analyzes the impact of sectarian conflict on mental health in Kirkuk through an ethnoreligious meta-analysis of 42 studies with a total of N=15,427 participants published between 2003 and 2023. The quantitative synthesis indicates a PTSD prevalence of 47.3% (95% CI: 44.2–50.4) among victims of sectarian conflict, with an uneven distribution across groups, where the Turkmen minority records the highest prevalence at 56.8%, exceeding Arab Sunni at 43.2% and Kurdish at 41.5%. Logistic regression analysis demonstrates that direct exposure to sectarian violence increases the risk of major depression by 3.4 times (OR=3.42, p<.001), anxiety by 2.8 times (OR=2.83, p<.001), and psychosomatic disorders by 2.5 times (OR=2.54, p<.001). Further meta-regression identifies duration of conflict exposure (β=.426, p<.001) and intensity of sectarian violence (β=.389, p<.001) as significant predictors of symptom severity. In contrast to the findings of Cummings et al. (2013) and Eltally (2019), which emphasize the general impact of conflict, this study reveals specific intergenerational trauma patterns within distinct ethnoreligious communities, with the highest transmission observed among families of sectarian massacre victims (d=0.82), while simultaneously highlighting variations in communal resilience across groups as a differential determinant of post-conflict psychosocial dynamics.

Tabuh Rah in Bali is part of a Hindu religious ceremony involving animal sacrifice to maintain harmony between nature and human life. In practice, it is often accompanied by tajen (cockfighting) involving monetary or valuable bets, potentially violating Article 303 of the Indonesian Criminal Code concerning gambling. This study examines the regulation of cockfighting as a criminal offense under Article 303 and the criminal liability of perpetrators of tajen within the context of the Tabuh Rah ceremony. The research employs a normative legal method using statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate that cockfighting conducted as part of the Tabuh Rah ritual is permissible based on the Batur Agung Inscription (933 Saka) and the Batuan Inscription (944 Saka) without requiring official authorization. However, cockfighting conducted outside the ritual context and involving betting constitutes gambling in violation of the Criminal Code and Law No. 7 of 1974. Perpetrators may be held criminally liable for intentionally committing an unlawful act.

Public service delivery represents a central function of civil servants (ASNs) in realizing governmental objectives and fulfilling public needs. The increasing complexity of bureaucratic challenges not only requires administrative competence but also a devotion-based work culture and strong conflict management abilities. This study adopts an integrative literature review approach to synthesize research on the relationship between devotion-oriented work culture and conflict resolution competence among ASNs in public administration. Through thematic synthesis of empirical and conceptual studies, three primary themes emerge: (1) devotion as a moral dimension shaping civil service identity; (2) conflict resolution competence as an adaptive behavioral skill; and (3) integration of cultural and governance values for ethical performance. Findings reveal that devotion-oriented culture enhances civil servants’ problem-solving and ethical responsiveness, strengthening bureaucratic accountability and public trust. This paper contributes a conceptual framework linking work devotion, conflict competence, and public governance, providing implications for policy and administrative reform toward professional, responsive, and citizen-oriented public service.

This study examines the juridical aspects of guardianship applications by parents to obtain permission to sell a minor’s inherited land and analyzes the judicial considerations in Decision Number 199/Pdt.P/2025/PN Blt. The research employs an empirical juridical method with a sociological legal approach. Primary data were collected through interviews and case documents at the Blitar District Court, while secondary data consist of statutes, doctrine, and related literature. Qualitative-descriptive analysis was applied to interpret the findings. The study reveals that the guardianship application process involves both administrative and judicial stages. Judges scrutinize material evidence and the probity of sale objectives, weighing important principles such as utility, legal certainty, fairness, and justice. Guardians are granted limited authority to sell a minor’s property only if it can be proven to be in the child's best interest and legal protections are assured. Recommendations include strengthening post-decision monitoring, enhancing legal outreach, improving procedural transparency, and ensuring comprehensive implementation.

Copyright infringement in the music sector continues to be a significant issue in Indonesia, particularly when musical works are commercially used by business operators. Copyright law provides legal protection for creative works, including songs or music, by granting exclusive rights to control use and derive benefits from such creations. This research examines the legal analysis of copyright holders in compensation for royalty payments. The method used in this research is normative, supplemented by literature studies, including relevant regulations and previous research on song or music copyright. The research findings indicate that royalty payment is a legal obligation for every user of songs in commercial activities, and creators are entitled to such compensation. However, in the Mie Gacoan case in Bali, it is evident that the implementation of these provisions remains constrained due to weak legal understanding, supervision, and compliance, necessitating strengthened law enforcement and optimization of the role of collective management institutions.

This study aims to analyze the investigation process involving children as perpetrators of trafficking in persons at the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of Bukittinggi Police Resort and to assess the forms of legal protection provided at each stage of the examination. This research applies an empirical juridical approach by combining literature review and field research through interviews with investigators and related parties. The findings indicate that the investigation process has been conducted in accordance with Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System, while upholding the principle of the best interests of the child. Legal protection is implemented through legal assistance, closed hearings, limited detention periods, and coordination with relevant institutions to support the child’s recovery and rehabilitation. However, several obstacles remain, including the limited number of investigators, restricted investigation timeframes, and difficulties in presenting witnesses. This study concludes that legal protection for children involved as perpetrators of trafficking in persons has been carried out in line with normative regulations, yet it requires strengthened institutional capacity and inter-agency coordination to ensure more effective implementation.

Islamic boarding schools (Islamic boarding schools) are required to integrate classical scholarly traditions and modern education, one way of doing this is through the integration of the study of yellow books (tahfidzul Qur'an) and Qur'an memorization (tahfidzul Qur'an). The Baitul Abidin Darussalam Wonosobo Tahfidzul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School implements an integrative learning system to balance Qur'an memorization and understanding of Islamic law (shari'a). However, it still faces obstacles such as a tight schedule, different methods, and weak coordination and evaluation. This study examines the implementation patterns, challenges, and impacts of this system, with the hope of serving as a reference for developing a balanced and sustainable model of Islamic boarding school education. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design to understand in-depth the implementation of the integrative learning system between Qur'an memorization and the study of yellow books (tahfidzul Qur'an) at the Baitul Abidin Darussalam Wonosobo Islamic Boarding School (PPTQ). Subjects were selected purposively, including the boarding school administrator, tahfidz teachers, yellow book teachers, and students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted interactively using the Miles and Huberman model, which encompasses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification to obtain a holistic and contextual understanding. The discussion shows that the integrative learning system in Islamic boarding schools is implemented through a balanced daily schedule between Quran memorization and yellow book study, allowing memorization, understanding, and moral development to occur simultaneously within the students' daily routines. Integration is achieved structurally through scheduling, methodologically by linking verse memorization with book study, and culturally through the instillation of values, etiquette, and pesantren traditions. The success of integration is supported by the exemplary behavior of the kiai (Islamic teachers) and ustadz (Islamic teachers), the religious environment, and the motivation and discipline of the students, despite challenges such as busy schedules, physical exhaustion, differences in student abilities, and limited facilities. The impact of implementing this system is seen in the improved quality of contextual memorization, a more critical understanding of the scriptures, the formation of disciplined and moral character, and the holistic spiritual development of students.

Schools are formal educational institutions that play a crucial role in transferring knowledge and shaping students' cognitive, psychomotor, and character development systematically and responsibly. While the "school of life" is often defined as a non-formal learning space, formal schools retain a strategic position because they provide a clear ontological, epistemological, and axiological framework, including in the formation of students' character and self-concept. However, the reality on the ground shows that labeling practices are still prevalent in the school environment, both by teachers and fellow students, which negatively impact students' psychological, emotional, social, and self-concept. Negative labels such as stupid, lazy, naughty, or physical and social labels have been shown to cause "invisible wounds" that affect students' self-esteem and functioning in the long term. This study uses qualitative methods through a literature review to examine the phenomenon of labeling and its impact on the formation of students' self-concept within the framework of Christian Character Education. The results of the study indicate that Christian Character Education, which is based on the values of love, acceptance, and respect for human dignity as God's creation, has a strategic role in restoring the self-concept of students affected by labeling. Christian character education not only instills moral and ethical values, but also builds students' inner and spiritual resilience so that they are able to interpret themselves positively, regardless of the negative labels they receive.

This study aims to: (1) describe the integration of educational games in Islamic Education (SKI) learning; (2) understand students' learning experiences in learning Islamic cultural history in classes that integrate educational games; (3) examine the impact on the learning outcomes of class VIII students of MTs N 1 Wonosobo Research. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological research type. The research subjects include SKI subject teachers, madrasa principals, and class VIII students of MTs N 1 Wonosobo Research. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, observation of the learning process, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, as well as drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the study indicate that the integration of educational games in Islamic Education (SKI) learning is implemented in a planned and contextual manner as part of the teacher's learning strategy. The use of educational games can increase student learning motivation which is characterized by increased enthusiasm, activeness, focus, and student participation in the learning process. In terms of learning outcomes, the percentage of student learning completion before and after the educational game integration both reached 100%, with a Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) of 68. However, the average (mean) student learning outcomes increased from 94.28 to 95.17, an increase of ±0.95%. This finding indicates that the integration of educational games not only maintains learning completion but also improves the quality of students' understanding of the Islamic Cultural History material. Thus, the integration of educational games has proven to be an effective learning innovation in improving student motivation and learning outcomes in the subject of Islamic Cultural History.

This study aims to: 1) describe the classical interpretation of QS. An-Nisa' [4]:9, particularly the concept of protecting descendants (khaufu 'ala al-dzurriyah); 2) explain the moral message of QS. An-Nisa' [4]:9 regarding parental responsibility through Abdullah Saeed's contextual hermeneutical framework; 3) demonstrate how a reinterpretation of QS. An-Nisa' [4]:9 can provide a new, more positive, and more balanced perspective on the childfree phenomenon in contemporary society. This research adopts a qualitative method grounded in library research. The data sources include classical and contemporary tafsir works, the writings of Abdullah Saeed, thematic literature on family studies, and academic references discussing the modern emergence of the childfree phenomenon. The analysis applies a contextual hermeneutical approach that emphasizes reading the Qur'anic verse through its historical setting, universal moral values, and relevance to contemporary social realities. This approach enables an integrated understanding between the fundamental message of the verse and present-day ethical challenges. The findings reveal that classical interpretations of QS. An-Nisa' [4]:9 focuses on the protection of orphans and the obligation to prevent descendants from falling into states of weakness. The moral message of the verse, viewed through Abdullah Saeed's framework, directs attention to the heavy moral responsibility of raising children, which requires comprehensive readiness. The reinterpretation of the verse highlights that the childfree choice does not inherently conflict with Islamic values, as this decision may arise from moral responsibility to avoid producing descendants who may be at risk of weakness, as warned in the verse. This perspective encourages society to view childfree choices more positively and aligns them with the Qur'anic objective of safeguarding the well-being and strength of future generations.

Social Studies (IPS) learning at the elementary school level plays a strategic role in shaping students’ understanding of social, cultural, and economic life, as well as national values. This study aims to analyze the differences between the 2013 Curriculum and the Merdeka Curriculum in IPS learning, including planning, implementation, the use of methods and media, and the assessment of learning outcomes. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study, collecting data from curriculum documents, lesson plans (RPP), syllabi, classroom observations, interviews with teachers and school principals, and student questionnaires. The results indicate that the 2013 Curriculum provides a clear learning structure, detailed lesson plans, and systematic material organization that facilitates teachers, but it is less flexible and less contextualized for students. In contrast, the Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes flexibility, relevance of content to the local context, innovative methods such as project-based learning and blended learning, as well as holistic assessment focusing on critical thinking skills, social literacy, and student character. The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum can enhance students’ learning interest, active participation, understanding of social concepts, and social awareness; however, its effectiveness depends on teacher readiness, school support, facilities, and consistency in assessment. These findings suggest that selecting an appropriate IPS curriculum should consider a balance between structure and flexibility, content relevance, teacher competence, and supporting facilities.

This research is motivated by the importance of phrase analysis in syntactic studies for understanding the structure and relationships among components within Indonesian sentences. As grammatical units, phrases play a strategic role in shaping meaning, so they should be examined in terms of their constituent elements and their functions in the text. This study aims to analyze the use of adjectival phrases and prepositional phrases found in news texts. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with observing and note-taking techniques, supported by a syntactic theoretical approach. The findings show that there are twenty-five adjectival phrases and sixty-eight prepositional phrases identified in five news texts published on Tempo.com in August 2025. “lebih cepat” is one example of an adjectival phrase found in the texts, while “ke arah pendemo” is an example of a prepositional phrase. These findings indicate that Indonesian phrases have systematic formation patterns and complementary syntactic functions. This research serves as a useful reference for the development of syntactic studies, linguistic learning, and the analysis of phrase usage in various language contexts.
