The Constitutional Court is a state institution that emerged from the amendments to the 1945 Constitution, as part of the efforts to strengthen the principles of the rule of law and constitutional democracy in Indonesia. This institution plays a crucial role in upholding legal regulations, ensuring proper checks, and balancing the power between institutions and the state. This research aims to examine the position, authority, and contributions of the Constitutional Court within Indonesia's governance system. A normative approach is generally used, along with analyses of laws, Constitutional Court decisions, and various related legal literature. The results of the study show that the Constitutional Court not only acts as the gatekeeper of the structure, but also as the sole translator of the structure, which has an important influence on the dynamics of relations between state institutions and the development of constitutional law in Indonesia. The Constitutional Court participates in the protection of citizens' rights, the improvement of the electoral system, and the upholding of the principles of democracy and real justice.

This study discusses the role of Pancasila as the foundational and ideological basis of the Indonesian state in the context of international diplomacy, as well as its implications for the formation of national law and foreign policy. Pancasila functions not only as a normative foundation but also as a form of soft power that supports Indonesia's position in the global arena. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, drawing from journals, books, and relevant legal documents. The findings indicate that Pancasila influences Indonesia’s foreign diplomacy through core values such as social justice, deliberation, and humanity. However, challenges remain in its implementation, particularly in maintaining consistency between Pancasila’s values and global as well as national interests. In the context of international law, Pancasila as a legal ideal (rechtsidee) contributes to the development of a just, inclusive, and tolerant legal system. Therefore, revitalizing the understanding of Pancasila is crucial to ensure it remains a central guideline in every foreign policy decision and national legal development in Indonesia.

A reliable electrical grid the power plant scheduling system needs to optimize the plant's performance by considering the economic value and the value of emissions generated by the plant, in addition to the reliability and economic sectors. This system should also take into account the environmental impact, as well as the CO2 and CH4 emissions produced by the plant. This research will use the Dragonfly Algorithm with weighting parameters to schedule hydro and thermal facilities' emissions and economic activities. That the weighting value impacts production costs and emissions is demonstrated by the data acquired from the Dragonfly Algorithm simulation. If economic considerations take precedence in assigning weights, then low-cost generating will result in high-value emissions, and vice versa. The plant's Emission Intensity rating also meets the standards established by the government.

The corruption that occurred at PT Pertamina reflects the weak integrity of public officials and the inadequacy of internal oversight systems. The positive legal approach has proven ineffective in addressing corruption in practice. Therefore, this study departs from the need for an alternative approach based on Islamic political values such as trustworthiness (amanah), justice, and supervision in addressing corruption within state-owned enterprises (SOEs). This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data were collected from academic journals, official reports by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK), as well as credible media sources. The data were analyzed by categorizing them according to the principles of trustworthiness, justice, and supervision, and then interpreted through the framework of Islamic political thought to deeply understand the root causes of corruption. Corruption in PT Pertamina involves power protection, budget manipulation, and procurement fraud. Violations of trust, injustice in resource distribution, and weak supervision indicate the absence of Islamic principles in corporate governance. Ethical and spiritual values have not yet been internalized within the bureaucratic system and organizational culture of SOEs. This study concludes that corruption in PT Pertamina is a result of the loss of trust, the breakdown of justice, and weak oversight. An Islamic political approach that emphasizes ethics and spiritual responsibility is highly relevant to be applied. These values can help form a just and transparent governance system and rebuild public trust in SOEs.

This study is a literature review that discusses the relationship between sports and politics in historical and contemporary contexts. Through an analysis of 10 recent scientific articles and journals, it was found that sports function not only as physical activities, but also as a tool of diplomacy, a symbol of identity, and a means of political expression. This study identifies various forms of political intervention in sports, both at the institutional level such as FIFA and UEFA, and by countries and individuals such as athletes. In Indonesia, history shows that sports have been a medium for political struggle since the colonial era until now as a tool for imaging and policy diplomacy. This finding emphasizes that sports are not neutral spaces, but strategic arenas in the dynamics of power and global identity. This study provides theoretical and practical contributions in understanding the strategic role of sports in socio-political development and encourages broader interdisciplinary studies in the future.

The principle of freedom of contract is a fundamental tenet in contract law that grants parties the autonomy to determine the content, form, and subjects of an agreement. In the context of business contracts in Indonesia, this principle plays a vital role in providing flexibility for business actors to regulate their legal relationships independently. However, in practice, the implementation of this principle often faces various challenges, such as unequal bargaining power between parties and legal interventions aimed at protecting weaker parties. This study aims to analyze how the principle of freedom of contract is applied in the practice of business contracts in Indonesia, as well as the legal boundaries that limit such freedom. A normative juridical method is employed, using statutory and case study approaches. The findings indicate that contractual freedom in Indonesia is not absolute but is restricted by positive law, propriety, and public order. Therefore, a balance is required between contractual freedom and legal protection in the drafting of business contracts.

Humanitarian intervention is often seen as an effort to protect civilians from human rights violations, but it often clashes with the principle of state sovereignty in international law. This research evaluates the alignment of humanitarian intervention with the values of Pancasila as an ethical and moral footing in international policy. The research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach; data is obtained from a literature study that includes academic documents, journals, reference books, and diplomatic reports, then analyzed descriptively-analytically to reveal the views of Pancasila in the practice of international law. The results show that although intervention has noble aims, its implementation often collides with the principle of non-intervention and the principle of state sovereignty. The values of Pancasila, especially fair and civilized humanity and social justice, can be used as a moral foundation to assess the legitimacy of intervention, but its application in international norms is still constrained by political interests and power imbalances between states. The conclusion of this study is that Pancasila offers a potential ethical framework for more just humanitarian interventions, but diplomacy and policy advocacy efforts are needed to strengthen the position of developing countries in formulating international norms that respect sovereignty while protecting human rights.

The Geopolitics 5.0 era has introduced a new paradigm in which artificial intelligence (AI), digital technology, and global power dynamics are reshaping traditional diplomatic practices. As a nation rooted in the Pancasila ideology, Indonesia faces complex challenges in upholding its principles of humanity, unity, and social justice amid increasingly competitive geopolitical shifts. This research aims to analyze the relevance of Pancasila as a strategic framework for Indonesia’s diplomatic efforts in responding to the challenges of Geopolitics 5.0, while formulating policy recommendations aligned with national values. The study employs a qualitative approach, analyzing content related to Indonesia’s foreign policy, government documents, and recent diplomatic case studies. Supporting data is drawn from academic literature, archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and reports from global think tanks. The findings demonstrate that Pancasila serves as a critical foundation for shaping Indonesia’s adaptive diplomacy, particularly through: (1) soft power strategies rooted in cultural and creative economic assets, (2) digital diplomacy that prioritizes cyber sovereignty and freedom, and (3) leadership in multilateral forums. Pancasila’s values not only remain relevant but also provide Indonesia with a strategic advantage in building principle-driven diplomacy in the Geopolitics 5.0 era. Policy recommendations include strengthening digital human resource capacity, fostering collaborative technology research, and advancing public diplomacy initiatives.

Corruption remains a serious issue that hinders development and erodes public trust in the government, particularly in countries like Indonesia and Malaysia. Both nations have long histories of dealing with systemic corruption. This study aims to compare the legal systems and anti-corruption law enforcement in Indonesia and Malaysia to identify challenges and areas for improvement. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, analyzing legal documents, academic journals, and regulations related to anti-corruption agencies in both countries. This study employs legal system theory and institutional theory. The main problem examined is how anti-corruption law enforcement differs between Indonesia and Malaysia and what the main enforcement challenges are. The findings show that while Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was once powerful, recent political interference and regulatory revisions have weakened its impact. Conversely, Malaysia has more comprehensive legal instruments, but its enforcement agencies struggle with independence and political pressure. In conclusion, both countries must strengthen legal supremacy, institutional independence, and public engagement to enhance the effectiveness of anti-corruption efforts.

The rise in Value Added Tax (VAT) from 11% to 12%, which was put into effect in January 2025, has elicited a range of reactions from Indonesian households, particularly those in the urban middle class. This research intends to investigate the effects of the VAT change on consumption habits among this group. Information was gathered through a survey conducted with 400 households in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung utilizing a stratified random sampling technique. A quantitative analysis was performed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that while the overall tax burden on basic consumption did not rise significantly due to various mitigating measures, the public's perception of the VAT hike still resulted in a decline in spending—particularly on non-essential items and services. This result underscores the importance of fiscal perception in influencing household consumption patterns. The study suggests that fiscal transparency, public awareness campaigns, and compensatory policies are essential for preserving middle-class purchasing power during initiatives aimed at enhancing national tax revenue.

The church is called to bring about the harmony and unity of Christ in a divided world. However, internal conflict often arises from theological differences, leadership styles, cultural preferences, and interpersonal issues. Conflict that is not managed wisely can damage the integrity and witness of the church. This study uses a library research method and finds that harmony is an active process that requires dialogue, openness, acceptance, mutual respect, and love. The roots of church conflict are addressed through loving communication (Matthew 18), biblical mediation and negotiation training, cultivating a culture of forgiveness and reconciliation, and transparent and integrity-based leadership. Although challenges such as ego exist, the power of the gospel, the Holy Spirit, and the potential for growth offer great opportunities. A reconciling church is a powerful testimony of Christ's reconciling love.

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the National Cash Social Assistance (BST) policy on the purchasing power of communities in Surabaya. BST is a social protection program launched by the Indonesian government in response to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The policy targets low-income and vulnerable groups through direct cash transfers, with the goal of maintaining basic consumption levels and preventing a sharp decline in household welfare. This research examines the extent to which the BST program has achieved its objectives, particularly in enhancing or sustaining the purchasing power of its beneficiaries in urban settings. The study employs an evaluative approach using a mixed-methods design, combining quantitative survey data with qualitative interviews involving aid recipients and local-level implementers. The findings indicate that the BST program had a positive short-term impact on household purchasing power, particularly in meeting essential needs such as food and utility expenses. However, several implementation challenges were also identified, including issues of inaccurate beneficiary targeting, delays in distribution, and the relatively small amount of assistance compared to actual household need. These results highlight that the effectiveness of social policy is not solely dependent on budget allocation but also on the precision of its implementation on the ground. Consequently, the study recommends improvements in beneficiary data updating, enhanced transparency in aid distribution, and the development of more adaptive program designs that reflect local socio-economic conditions. The findings are expected to serve as a valuable reference for policymakers in designing more efficient and sustainable social assistance programs in the future.
