Breakups often trigger psychological conflict ranging from stress, anxiety, depression, to risky behavior that have an impact on individual well-being and the social environment. This study explores the role of law in preventing, responding to, and recovering such psychological impacts through an interdisciplinary approach. The methodology used is a normative-juridical study combined with a literature review of clinical psychology and mental health policy. The findings show that the legal framework can function on three levels: (1) preventive, through the guarantee of the right to mental health, digital literacy, and platform governance to prevent post-breakup online harassment; (2) protective, through victim protection mechanisms against psychological violence, stalking, doxing, and the dissemination of non-consensual intimate content; and (3) curative, with a referral scheme for counseling services, the provision of legal aid, data confidentiality guarantees, and restorative justice instruments centered on victim recovery. However, there are implementation gaps, including the lack of standardization of psychological assessments in the legal process, limited access to services at the grassroots level, and coordination between institutions that are not optimal. This article recommends the integration of mental health protocols in the law enforcement process, evidentiary guidelines for psychological violence, as well as cross-sectoral collaboration with psychological service providers and digital platforms. The main contribution of this study is the mapping of a comprehensive legal intervention framework for post-breakup psychological conflicts.

Gender inequality in terms of safety in public spaces is a crucial issue in Indonesia. This research background is driven by the high rate of violence against women, reaching 330,079 cases in 2024, and reinforced by a patriarchal culture that perpetuates gender hierarchy. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to analyze the root causes and impacts of gender inequality on women's sense of security in public spaces. The results indicate that the disparity manifests in various dimensions, such as women-unfriendly urban infrastructure (e.g., inadequate lighting), security threats in urban areas, and the high rate of gender-based violence where 80.1% of the victims are women. The discussion reveals that this inequality impacts not only physical safety but also psychological well-being, economic security, and access to public spaces. This research concludes that a multidimensional approach encompassing infrastructure improvement, strengthening legal protection, changing social norms, and economic empowerment is required to create an inclusive, equitable, and safe public environment for all genders.

Bullying in secondary schools is a serious issue that affects students’ psychosocial well-being and academic achievement, and significantly disrupts the learning climate and the quality of social relationships among students. This community service activity aimed to implement the Child-Friendly School Program through anti-bullying socialization at SMA N 1 Kersana in order to enhance the understanding and commitment of all school members in creating a safe, inclusive, and sustainable learning environment. The method employed a participatory approach, including needs assessment, interactive socialization sessions, focus group discussions, case simulations, and structured evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments. The results indicated a 23% increase in participants’ understanding based on the comparison of scores before and after the intensive implementation of the program. Furthermore, a “Bullying-Free School” declaration was established along with a plan to strengthen the Violence Prevention and Handling Team as a more systematic sustainability strategy. These findings confirm that participatory-based socialization effectively reinforces the implementation of the Child-Friendly School Program and fosters a safe, inclusive, sustainable, and responsive school culture that supports students’ positive character development.

Traditional arts in Indonesia face a growing threat not from physical displacement, but from algorithmic distortion. This study examines how social media algorithms shape and distort public perception of Indonesian traditional arts — specifically jaranan and barongan — through the lens of Van Dijck's (2013) popularity principle: the principle that content distribution is determined by interaction volume rather than cultural value. Employing qualitative thematic content analysis, this study analyzes comments on five viral social media videos sourced from YouTube and TikTok, each depicting riots or tension at traditional art performances. Findings demonstrate that the popularity principle operates consistently and cumulatively across all five samples: algorithmically provocative titles, emotional polarization in comment sections, and micro-behavioral signals such as watch duration and replay collectively function as interaction signals that drive the platform to distribute riot content far more widely than culturally substantive footage. The consequences extend beyond perception: event organizers suffer long-term reputational and economic damage, while collective stereotypes — associating jaranan with violence and disorder — become sufficiently entrenched to surface spontaneously in unrelated contexts. A comparative analysis of a Kangen Band concert video reveals that these stereotypes have already achieved the status of cultural reference points. This study argues that strategic resistance is possible: the same algorithmic logic that amplifies negative content can be deployed to circulate culturally rich content, provided that artists, communities, and government commit to producing content designed to generate high-quality interaction. The challenge is to transform social media from a distorting mirror into an instrument of cultural preservation.

Physical violence against journalists remains a serious threat that hinders the functioning of democracy in Indonesia. Law Number 40 of 1999 concerning the Press explicitly guarantees legal protection for journalists through Articles 8 and 9, which emphasize freedom from censorship and the right to seek and disseminate information. However, criminal law enforcement against perpetrators of physical violence has not been optimal, leading to a culture of impunity. This study uses a normative juridical approach by analyzing the Press Law regulations, the provisions of the Criminal Code on assault (Articles 351-355), as well as the theoretical basis of Satjipto Rahardjo's preventive-repressive legal protection and Moeljatno's law enforcement principles. The results of the study indicate a significant gap between strong legal norms and weak enforcement practices,  characterized by the dominance of mediation by the Press Council and a culture of impunity for perpetrators, often involving state apparatus. According to AJI reports from 2020-2025, there have been 84 to 89 cases annually, with only 15-20% processed criminally. The main obstacles include a lack of coordination between institutions, minimal awareness of law enforcement officials, victims' reluctance to report due to social pressure and fear of reprisals, and institutional solidarity among perpetrators. This impunity not only traumatizes journalists but also induces self-censorship, reduces investigative journalism quality, and weakens democratic checks and balances. Recommendations include revising the Press Law for stricter sanctions, enhancing law enforcement training, and establishing independent investigation teams under Komnas HAM to combat impunity effectively.

Advances in technology and social media have changed the way individuals obtain information and interact, especially in the context of global culture. BTS, a famous South Korean boy band, utilized social media to build a strong relationship with their fans, ARMY, through the campaign “Love Myself.” The campaign emphasized the importance of self-love and raised issues of mental health and violence. The campaign emphasized the importance of self-love and raised issues of mental health and violence. Through platforms such as Twitter and Instagram, BTS interacted directly with ARMY, who responded with significant support, including a 2.4 billion won donation to UNICEF. This interaction not only strengthened the online community but also helped boost fans' confidence. This research analyzes the impact of the “Love Myself” campaign on ARMY's engagement in social issues through social media. Furthermore, the resulting impact provides important insights into how celebrities and social media can influence broader social change. The campaign also reflects a shift in traditional ways of advocating and supporting social issues.

Law Number 35 of 2014 on Child Protection plays a strategic role in providing legal protection for children who are victims of violence, bpth physical and psychological. The enactment of this regulation represents the state’s response to the increasing number of violence cases againts children, which necessitate a more comprehensive and child-oriented legal protection system. This law strengthens legal instruments through the recognition and protection of children’s rights, the imposition of criminal sanctions againts perpetators of violence, and th provision of recovery mechanisms for child victims. However, in practice, the implementation of the Child Protection Law continues to face various challenges, including weak law enforment, limited protection fasilities and infrastructure, and inadequate coordination among relevant institutions. These obstacles have resulted in the suboptimal realization of legal protection for child victims of violence. The novel "Woman at Point Zero" is a novel that predominantly draws on psychological elements. The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) the relationship between theme and character through action, (2) the relationship between theme and character's thoughts, and (3) the relationship between theme and character's feelings. This study uses a qualitative approach. The method used is descriptive analysis. The data consists of linguistic units such as sentences, phrases, and paragraphs related to character's actions, thoughts, and feelings. The data source is the novel "Woman at Point Zero," published by the Obor Indonesia Foundation in 2006. The conclusion of this study is that the theme influenced by action determines humans as supreme beings, the theme influenced by dominant thoughts determines humans as social beings, and the theme's relationship with feelings determines humans as individual beings. This novel depicts the dark side faced by Egyptian women amidst Arab culture steeped in patriarchal values. Women still experience unequal rights and never receive the same rights as men. As in Arab societies, patriarchal culture is one of the foundations of debate over women's status in society, and it continues to generate conflict. The lack of guaranteed women's rights, political freedom, and the hierarchical constraints of husbands leave women disadvantaged in all aspects of life, experiencing discrimination, violence, and poverty.

Verbal abuse in early childhood represents a form of non-physical violence that has serious implications for children's socio-emotional, cognitive, and psychological development. This issue continues to escalate alongside the declining quality of parenting experiences and weakened social control within communities, where verbal aggression is often perceived as an acceptable disciplinary practice. This study aims to identify and analyze the relationship between parenting experiences and community social control with the occurrence of verbal abuse through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data were collected from reputable journal articles published between 2020–2025 using inclusion–exclusion criteria and content analysis techniques. The findings reveal that authoritarian parenting, emotional stress, a history of violence, and misconceptions about discipline serve as primary triggers of verbal abuse. In contrast, social environments characterized by strong social bonds, collective anti-violence norms, and active community participation have been shown to effectively reduce the occurrence of verbal abuse within families. This study concludes that verbal abuse is an interactive phenomenon shaped by parenting factors and social structures; therefore, prevention requires a family-based educational approach in conjunction with strengthening community roles through Pendidikan Non Formal.

Sexual violence within the family is a serious criminal act that not only violates the law but also causes profound physical and psychological suffering for victims. The complexity of such cases increases as the perpetrators are often close family members, resulting in trauma and obstacles in law enforcement. Decision Number 2068/Pid.Sus/2020/PN.Medan serves as the basis for analyzing the extent to which legal protection can be provided to victims. The research problems addressed are: (1) what forms of legal protection are available for victims of sexual violence within the family under Indonesian positive law, and (2) how such protection is implemented in Decision Number 2068/Pid.Sus/2020/PN.Medan. The research method applied is normative juridical with statutory, conceptual, and case study approaches. Data sources include legislation, legal literature, and court decision analysis. The findings reveal that legal protection for victims is regulated under the Child Protection Law, the Criminal Code, and other legal instruments emphasizing preventive, repressive, and rehabilitative measures. The Medan District Court imposed a severe sentence on the perpetrator in accordance with the law; however, protection for victims remains limited to formal aspects without comprehensive psychological recovery programs. In conclusion, the protection of victims of sexual violence within the family has been clearly regulated on a normative basis, but its implementation remains weak. Greater collaboration between law enforcement authorities, child protection institutions, and professionals is necessary to ensure the holistic recovery of victims.

Reflection : Islamic Education Journal 2025 Asosiasi Riset Ilmu Pendidikan Agama dan Filsafat Indonesia

Moral education is the core of Islamic teachings that emphasize the formation of noble character in human relationships with Allah SWT and with others. The phenomenon of moral deterioration that occurs in society, such as promiscuity, juvenile criminality, violence, and the loss of manners towards parents and teachers, shows the urgency of systematic moral education. This research aims to examine the content and content of the book Akhlak Lil Banin by Sheikh Umar bin Ahmad Baraja' and the strategy of the moral education concept contained in it. The research method used is a literature study with a qualitative-descriptive approach through content analysis. The results of the study show that Lil Banin's book of Morals contains fundamental moral values, including ethics with parents, manners with teachers, speaking ethics, honesty and trust, responsibility, and manners of eating and drinking. The moral education strategy in this book includes moral development towards Allah SWT, oneself, parents, teachers, fellow humans, the environment, and in all life circumstances. Thus, Lil Banin's book of Morals is not only a moral guideline for children and adolescents, but also relevant as a reference for character education in the modern era that is full of moral challenges.

The government places the protection of women and children in Surabaya City as a top priority in efforts to reduce the annual surge of violence. To strengthen prevention, handling, and the fulfillment of women’s and children’s rights at the community level, the Surabaya City Government issued Regional Regulation No. 3 of 2023 concerning the Implementation of Child Protection, which is then implemented through the Program of Women- and Child-Friendly Arek Suroboyo Village (KAS-RPA). Focusing on Benowo District and Kandangan Subdistrict, this study aims to examine the synergy of policies among stakeholders in the implementation of the KAS-RPA program. To obtain a real understanding of the implementation conditions, this research applied a descriptive qualitative approach through field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. A shared perception among DP3APPKB Office, Benowo District, Kandangan Subdistrict, and Kandangan village cadres in supporting the implementation of the KAS-RPA program demonstrates the level of policy synergy achieved, according to the research findings. Communication patterns among institutions also take place openly and in a structured manner through regular coordination. The attitudes of policy actors indicate a positive commitment to the success of the program, supported by a clear and well-coordinated organizational structure. However, limitations in resources still exist, such as the lack of supporting facilities and the insufficient number of active cadres, affecting program optimization. The implications of these findings emphasize the importance of enhancing resource support and community participation to ensure a more sustainable implementation of the policy and a direct impact on reducing violence against women and children in Surabaya.

Sexual violence remains a pervasive human rights violation globally, with nearly one in three women experiencing physical or sexual abuse in their lifetime (UN Women, 2024). In Indonesia, the National Commmision on Violence against Women (Komnas Perempuan) reported 330,097 cases in 2024, of which 26,9% were sexual violence. Despite Law No. 12 of 2022 on the Crime of Sexual Violence (UU TPKS), gaps persist between legal enforcement and public awareness, emphasizing the need for effective advocacy. This study investigates the rol of digital media in human rights advocacy by analyzing KemenPPPA’s Instagram Reels campaign titled “Three Years Since the Enactment of the Sexual Violence Law.” Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through digital observation and documentation of the video, captions, and public comments. Framing Analysis (Entman, 1993) identified problem definitations, moral evaluations, and proposed solutions, while Normative Content Discourse Interpretation (NCDI) interpreted content based on national law and international human rights standards, particularly CEDAW. Findings show that the campaign communicates key human rights values, including victim protection, gender equality, and justice. The study highlights the potential of digital media as both an educational tool and platform for social participation, stressing participatory legal communication to complement formal law enforcement and advance women’s rights in Indonesia.

This article examines the implications of parental verbal violence on the socio-emotional development of early childhood aged 3–6 years. The study was conducted through an extensive literature review supported by general field observations in community settings. The purpose of this research is to describe the phenomenon of verbal violence experienced by young children, analyze its effects on their emotional security, self-confidence, and social adaptation, and identify contributing factors from both the family environment and parental characteristics. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, relevant books, journal articles, and institutional reports were synthesized to construct a comprehensive understanding of how negative communication patterns shape children’s socio-emotional development. The findings indicate that verbal violence such as yelling, scolding, insulting, labeling, and threatening can disrupt children’s emotional regulation, lower their self-esteem, and hinder their ability to interact positively with peers. Repeated exposure to harsh language also increases the risk of anxiety, aggression, and social withdrawal. Conversely, positive, supportive, and empathetic parental communication fosters emotional resilience, empathy, and healthy social behavior. This article highlights the urgent need for parents, educators, and communities to strengthen awareness regarding the harmful impact of verbal violence and to promote nurturing communication practices that support the holistic development of young children.

The advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has generated significant benefits while simultaneously creating new opportunities for cyber-based sexual offenses, particularly through deepfake technology, which enables the manipulation of a person's face into pornographic content without consent. This study examines criminal liability for perpetrators of AI-based sexual harassment and legal protection for victims in deepfake pornography cases, focusing on a case involving a student at Udayana University, Bali. This research employs a normative legal method by analyzing primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The findings indicate that although Indonesian law does not yet explicitly regulate deepfake technology, perpetrators can still be prosecuted under the Electronic Information and Transactions Law, Pornography Law, Sexual Violence Law, and the new Criminal Code. Criminal intent is established through the deliberate manipulation, creation, and dissemination of non- consensual sexual content. Furthermore, victims are entitled to legal protection, including psychological recovery, privacy rights, restitution, and content removal. This study highlights the urgency of developing specific regulations addressing AI-related sexual crimes, enhancing forensic digital capabilities, and strengthening victim-centered protection mechanisms. The research contributes to the legal discourse on emerging digital crimes and emphasizes the need for adaptive legal frameworks in the AI era.

This study delves into the linguistic and ideological dimensions of cyberbullying discourse directed at TikTok creator Putri Padang within the framework of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). In Indonesia’s digital landscape, TikTok has become one of the prominent platform for self-expression and cultural performance, yet it also serves as a site for public shaming and moral policing. Drawing on Fairclough’s (1995) three-dimensional model, this qualitative research analyzes fifty hate comments collected from several TikTok videos featuring Putri Padang to uncover how language reproduces power relations and cultural ideologies. The findings reveal that hate comments are not random acts of aggression but structured discursive practices characterized by repetition, labeling, and moral judgment. Linguistic strategies such as mockery, objectification, and intertextual humor—exemplified by terms like “muka kotak” and “Adudu”—function as mechanisms of symbolic domination, reinforcing gendered and regional hierarchies. Moreover, the comments often invoke patriarchal values and cultural authenticity to moral criticism, positioning the target as a violator of feminine and cultural norms. The research contributes to cyber-discourse studies by extending into multimodal contexts and emphasizing the need for culturally grounded approaches to online gender-based violence.

This research examines the thought of Khawarij and Murji'ah in contemporary Islamic context with a focus on the relevance and application of these historical theological concepts to issues of extremism and moderation in the modern era. Through a qualitative approach with library research method, this study analyzes the doctrines of both groups and contemporary manifestations of their thinking. The results show that contemporary religious extremism phenomena have ideological connections with classical Khawarij characteristics such as takfirism, textual literalism, and tendency toward violence, while excessive political apathy reflects similarities with Murji'ah. The main challenges identified are how to balance religious commitment with tolerance in plural societies, and to overcome extreme tendencies in religious interpretation. In conclusion, a deep understanding of the historical roots of this thought can contribute to the development of a comprehensive approach to religious moderation in the modern era, with significant implications for social harmony and deradicalization efforts.

The form of historicization in literary criminology views criminality as the result of power relations, unequal social structures, and history. Criminal acts in historicization are always placed in a specific time and place context, tracing how a behavior is considered “criminal” or “against the law” depending on the historical construction formed by the legal system, the state, and the rulers. Historicization also reveals that what is referred to as crime is not absolute, but can change according to historical developments and power struggles. The purpose of this study is to describe the form of criminalization in the novel Lampuki, which is not merely an individual deviant act, but a reflection of historical trauma and a flawed social structure. The approach used is literary sociology. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative method with reading and note-taking techniques obtained from the novel Lampuki by Arafat Nur in the form of sentences and paragraphs. The results of the study show that there are seven data points that fall under the form of criminalization of history. From the seven data points, three findings were generalized and discovered in Arafat Nur novel Lampuki, namely: (1) transgenerational trauma of violence, (2) the destruction of the socio-cultural structure, and (3) dark figure of crime.
