Exports as a component of international trade contribute significantly to the development and growth of a country’s economy. In Indonesia, export activities are considered one of the key drivers in increasing national economic performance. This research seeks to evaluate the role of Indonesia’s exports to the United States within the Harmonized System (HS) Code 71 commodity classification, encompassing pearls, gemstones, precious metals, and jewelry products, in influencing Indonesia’s economic growth as reflected by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at constant prices. The analysis focuses on three specific commodity groups: Pearls and Precious Stones (HS 71.01–71.05), Precious Metals and Metals Clad with Precious Metals (HS 71.06–71.12), and Jewelry and Related Articles (HS 71.13–71.18). A descriptive quantitative research design was employed, utilizing secondary time-series data collected for the 2015–2024 period. Data sources included the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and Trade Map. To assess the relationship between variables, this study adopted multiple linear regression analysis accompanied by classical assumption testing and hypothesis testing using both t-test and F-test procedures. The empirical findings demonstrate that export performance within the HS Code 71 category underwent considerable fluctuations throughout the observation period, reaching its peak in 2024.Furthermore, the statistical results indicate that each commodity sub-category contributes differently and exerts varying effects on Indonesia’s real GDP, both individually and collectively. The outcomes of this research are expected to provide useful references for government institutions in developing trade cooperation strategies and policy decisions, while also supporting business actors in strengthening the international competitiveness of Indonesian products.

This study investigates why applicants who have passed the initial admissions stage do not proceed to final enrolment in an Indonesian private higher education context. While student recruitment is often measured by the number of applications received, institutional sustainability depends on the ability to convert applicants into enrolled students. This study employed a descriptive survey design supported by thematic analysis of open-ended responses. Data were collected from 179 applicants who had participated in the admissions process but did not complete final re-registration. The data were analyzed using frequencies, percentages, and thematic categorization. The findings show that conversion failure is influenced by several factors, including waiting for public university admission results, financial constraints, postponement of study plans, family considerations, uncertainty about the institution or study programmed, preference for other institutions, and campus accessibility. A key finding reveals that 58.1% of respondents would reconsider enrolment if scholarships, tuition discounts, or other financial assistance were available. These findings highlight the need for a conversion management strategy through targeted financial aid, transparent cost communication, family engagement, and proactive applicant follow-up.

The phenomenon of infinite scrolling in digital media reflects a fundamental shift in how modern individuals experience spirituality in the digital era. The continuous flow of information creates new spaces for the search for meaning, including the human relationship with the Divine, while simultaneously introducing challenges in the form of constant distraction that disrupts deep reflection. This study aims to analyze how infinite scrolling contributes to a crisis of spiritual awareness and how digital technology functions as an ambivalent space between distraction and reflection. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a library research approach, using relevant academic literature and religious documents. The findings indicate that intensive digital engagement reduces opportunities for contemplation, weakens reflective capacity, and produces shallow and fragmented spiritual experiences. However, digital technology also provides broad access to spiritual resources that can be used constructively. This study concludes that the crisis of spiritual awareness in the digital era is influenced not only by individual factors but also by technological structures shaping human attention. Therefore, digital literacy that includes ethical and spiritual dimensions is essential to ensure technology supports the search for meaning.
