The global increase in life expectancy has significantly contributed to the growth of the elderly population, including in Indonesia, which has now entered the aging population phase with more than 10% of its total population aged 60 years and above. This demographic shift presents challenges in maintaining the quality of life among the elderly, particularly in tropical border regions such as Tarakan City. Karang Anyar Pantai Village, located in West Tarakan District, has a considerable number of elderly residents supported by existing elderly health posts (posyandu lansia). Social and health interventions through elderly exercise programs, nutritional support in the form of mung bean porridge, and regular monthly health check-ups are considered strategic efforts to improve physical health, metabolic function, and psychological well-being among the elderly. This study aims to evaluate the impact of these three interventions on enhancing the quality of life of the elderly in Karang Anyar Pantai. By assessing the effectiveness of these interventions, this research seeks to provide recommendations for improving elderly care programs in similar regions.

The rapid development and population growth in Bekasi Regency, Indonesia, have resulted in increasing traffic density and a corresponding rise in road traffic accidents (RTA), particularly along the critical 28 km Kalimalang Inspection Highway, locally known as "Jalur Tengkorak." This study aims to analyze the simultaneous and partial influence of Vehicle Factors (X1), Human Factors (X2), and Road Physical Condition Factors (X3) on RTA (Y). A quantitative descriptive approach utilizing Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) was employed, based on primary data collected through questionnaires from 100 motorcycle riders and secondary data from Polresta Bekasi (2022). The findings confirm that all three variables significantly and positively influence RTA, resulting in the model \hat{Y} = 2.218 + 0.302 X1 + 0.161 X2 + 0.289 X3 + \mu. The adjusted coefficient of determination (R^2) is 0.514, indicating that 51.4\% of RTA variation is explained by these factors. Crucially, the Road Physical Condition Factor (X3) emerged as the strongest predictor (t=4.429, \beta=0.385), surpassing the traditional dominance of human error. This key finding suggests that mitigation strategies must prioritize urgent infrastructure repair addressing potholes, road waves, and insufficient markings to significantly reduce accident frequency in this corridor.

The rapid growth of online paylater services has raised concerns about their impact on students’ financial behavior, particularly given the increasing prevalence of consumptive lifestyles and limited financial literacy. This study investigates the influence of Lifestyle (X1) and Financial Literacy (X2) on the use of online paylater systems (Z) and their implications for Spending Behavior (Y) among students of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Dian Nuswantoro University. The study population consisted of 2,100 students from the 2021 and 2022 cohorts, with a sample of 117 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. The sample was selected purposively based on the criteria of being 18–24 years old and active users of paylater services. Primary data were collected through an online questionnaire employing a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed using SmartPLS 3.2 with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The results reveal that Lifestyle has a significant positive effect on both Spending Behavior and Paylater use, while Paylater use itself also positively influences Spending Behavior. In contrast, Financial Literacy shows no significant effect and does not mediate the relationships. The novelty of this study lies in integrating Lifestyle, Financial Literacy, Paylater adoption, and Spending Behavior into a single explanatory model, thereby offering new insights into the financial decision-making patterns of Generation Z students in the context of digital financial services.

Rapid global population growth has led to climate change and agricultural land degradation, posing significant challenges to the stability of global food security. The traditional livestock sector is known to absorb high levels of greenhouse gas emissions that can accelerate natural resource degradation and require innovative and sustainable approaches to meet the demand for animal protein. This study aims to analyze the contribution of cultured meat technology as an ethical and environmentally friendly alternative to improving global food security. This study uses a desk study method that addresses the technical, social, economic, and ethical aspects of cultured meat production. The analysis results indicate that the application of this technology has the potential to reduce land use and carbon emissions by up to 70% compared to conventional livestock systems, in addition to reducing animal suffering and the risk of zoonotic disease transmission. However, its application still faces several obstacles, such as high production costs, dependence on whey-based culture media, and difficulties in halal certification and public acceptance. These findings underscore the importance of synergy between scientists, governments, and religious authorities to ensure the safety, effectiveness, and equivalence of technology with ethical principles and socio-cultural values. With strong regulatory support and ongoing research, cultured meat technology has the potential to be a strategic solution for building a resilient, equitable, and environmentally responsible global food system.

The first 1000 days are often referred to as the window of opportunities or the golden period, based on the fact that from the fetal stage to the age of two years, there is a period of rapid growth and development that does not occur in other age groups. Meeting nutritional needs during the first 1000 days of a child's life is very important. This study analyzes the relationship between food taboos and LILA in pregnant women with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 1-24 months in the working area of the Biromaru Community Health Center in Sigi Regency. The research design used was a case-control study. The independent variables in this study were food taboos and maternal weight during pregnancy. The dependent variable was stunting in children aged 1-24 months. The population in this study consisted of all mothers who had children with stunting, totaling 32 people. The results of the study show that of the 16 stunted respondents, 11 (34.4%) respondents had food taboos and 5 (15.6%) respondents did not have food taboos. Then, out of 16 non-stunted respondents, 4 (12.5%) respondents had food taboos and 12 (37.5%) respondents did not have food taboos. Meanwhile, out of 16 stunted respondents, 10 (31.3%) respondents had KEK and 6 (18.76%) respondents did not have KEK. Then, of the 16 respondents who were not stunted, 3 (9.4%) respondents had KEK and 13 (40.6%) respondents did not have KEK. There is a relationship between food taboos and the incidence of stunting in children aged 1-24 months (p = 0.001), as well as a relationship between maternal height during pregnancy and the incidence of stunting in children aged 1-24 months (p = 0.01). It is hoped that the Biromaru Community Health Center will increase routine visits and provide education and counseling for mothers and infants.

Adolescence is a transitional period marked by rapid physical, psychological, and social changes. During this time, hormonal growth occurs as a sign of puberty and the activation of reproductive organs, one of which is breast development. However, these changes can sometimes lead to breast abnormalities such as lumps, pain, or changes in shape that may indicate early signs of health problems. One of the most effective early detection efforts for breast abnormalities is Breast Self-Examination (BSE). This examination is important to be done regularly so that each individual, especially adolescent girls, can recognize the condition of their breasts early on. Unfortunately, many adolescent girls still do not know what BSE is or how to perform it correctly. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and breast self-examination (BSE) behavior among female students at SMA Negeri 1 Krueng Barona Jaya, Aceh Besar District. This research was a quantitative study using an analytic cross-sectional design. Data collection was carried out on May 27, 2025, with a population of 30 female students from grades X and XI, selected using accidental sampling techniques. Data analysis using the Chi-Square test showed that there was no relationship between knowledge level and BSE behavior, with a p-value of 0.384 (p > 0.05). It is expected that parents and schools can improve adolescent girls’ knowledge about BSE as an effort for prevention and early detection of possible breast abnormalities.

This study examines two key development issues in developing : economic dualism and population issues, using a qualitative approach using library research. The analysis shows that economic dualism, characterizes by the gap between the low-productivity traditional sector and the high-tech modern sector, remains a key characteristic of Indonesia’s economic structure. On the other hand, high population growth and uncontrolled urbanization exacerbate inter-regional inequality and weaken the equitable distribution of development outcomes. The interconnectedness of these two issues creates a cycle of proverty that is difficult to break and hinders the achivement of sustaineble development. Therefore, an integrative and inclusive develpment strategy is neded, encompassing strengthenung the tradisional sector, equitable imvestment, improving the quality of human resources, and controlling population growth to ensure more balanced and equitable development.

The food and beverage industry are generally known for its stability. Nevertheless, this sub-sector underwent fluctuations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, one of which was in its firm value. The study investigates how firm value is affected by key organizational characteristics, including financial performance, the scale of the firm, and the rate of sales growth. A firm's value is measured by its PBV (Price to Book Value). The study's measure of financial performance is a combination of Return on Equity (ROE) and the CR, DER, and TATO ratios. This study uses a quantitative approach. The study's population is composed of F&B firms publicly traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange throughout 2019–2023. A purposive sampling technique was used to select the sample based on predefined requirements, leading to a total of 125 samples from 25 companies. Data were processed using WarpPLS version 8.0 to evaluate the research model through model fit, structural testing, and hypothesis testing. The results show that the model meets the required fit indices and has strong explanatory power. The findings reveal that profitability (ROE) and leverage (DER) have a positive and significant effect on firm value, while liquidity (CR) and sales growth exert a negative and significant effect. On the other hand, activity ratio (TATO) and firm size do not significantly influence firm value.

This study aims to predict the total population of Deli Serdang Regency for the year 2025 using a multiple linear regression approach. The data used were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Deli Serdang for the years 2015–2024, with total population as the dependent variable and male population and the percentage of male population as the independent variables. The analysis was carried out through a series of basic assumption tests, including normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation, all of which indicated that the model met the criteria for a valid regression model. The results of the F-test and t-test showed that both independent variables had a significant influence on the total population. The R² value of 1.000 indicates that the model is capable of explaining 100% of the variation in the population size. Based on the regression model obtained, the projected total population of Deli Serdang in 2025 is estimated to reach 4,075,362 people, an increase of 2,026,882 people from the previous year. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for regional development planning, particularly in the provision of public services and resource management.

The issue of global food security is increasingly pressing amidst climate change, population growth, and environmental degradation. The agricultural sector, particularly rice production, faces threats from pests and diseases that reduce crop yields and farmer incomes. Climate change exacerbates pest attack patterns, increasing crop losses. In addition, excessive use of chemical pesticides leads to pest resistance and negative impacts on ecosystems and human health. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, and the study population included farmers who cultivate rice fields and farmer groups that have received Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in Makale District, Tana Toraja Regency, with a population of 325 families. Respondents were randomly selected at 15% of the total population, with a sample of 49 farmers consisting of three farmer groups. The results showed that the role of farmer groups in IPM implementation in Makale District includes extension and training (65.5%), facilitating access to information and resources (69%), decision-making (67.5%), and conflict management and IPM cooperation (66.5%). Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the implementation of the rice farming system, with support from the Government and the Tana Toraja Regency Agriculture Service to optimize the development of rice farming businesses.

Family planning represents a community-based effort to promote awareness and participation through delaying the age of marriage, regulating births, strengthening family resilience, and improving family welfare to achieve small, joyful, and prosperous families (Suriana et al., 2021). The government targets Couples of Reproductive Age (CRA) to reduce population growth in Indonesia, as CRA consists of legally married couples who actively engage in sexual relations that may result in pregnancy. In addition to CRA, postpartum mothers also serve as a key target group in family planning programs. The “Four Too” components contribute to high-risk pregnancies that may lead to complications during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, and maternal and infant mortality. These include being too young (under 20 years), too old (over 35 years), too many children (more than four), and too close birth spacing (less than two years) (Oktarina, 2022). This study employed a quantitative research design, specifically an analytical quantitative approach with a correlational design using the cross-sectional method. The sample consisted of 40 participants. The results show that 45% of respondents had a satisfactory level of knowledge about IUD contraception, 32.5% had a moderate level, and 22.5% had a low level of knowledge. In nursing practice, increasing knowledge about contraception—particularly IUD family planning—can enhance interest in its use. Moreover, the study recommends that husbands provide support for mothers in using IUD contraception.

Wahno Subdistrict in Abepura District, Jayapura City, faces drainage problems that disrupt the area’s water management function. The varied topography, population growth, and the community’s habit of disposing waste into drainage channels have reduced the system’s capacity and caused frequent waterlogging during rainfall. This study aims to analyze the existing condition of the drainage channels in Wahno and to evaluate their effectiveness in conveying stormwater flow. The research methods include field surveys, channel dimension measurements, capacity calculations, and analysis of the effective volume compared to actual conditions affected by waste and sedimentation. The data were analyzed using quantitative and descriptive approaches to assess the performance level of the drainage system. The results show that most drainage channels in Wahno are not functioning optimally, with an average effectiveness of only 45–60% due to blockages caused by waste and sedimentation. The main factors reducing drainage effectiveness are decreased storage capacity, substandard design, and lack of regular maintenance. It is concluded that improvements to channel capacity, better waste management, and routine maintenance programs are necessary to enhance the drainage system’s effectiveness.

This research examines the effect of current ratio and company size on profit growth in food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2015 to 2023. All companies in this sub-sector are the research population, with sample selection using purposive techniques based on certain criteria. A total of 72 observation data were analyzed using a quantitative approach through multiple linear regression. Data were obtained from the annual financial reports that have been officially published. The results of the analysis show that the current ratio does not have a significant effect on profit growth, indicating that the level of liquidity does not always contribute directly to profitability. On the other hand, company size has a significant effect, indicating that a larger operational scale and the availability of adequate resources have a positive impact on profit performance. These findings are expected to be a reference in making corporate financial decisions and considerations for further research in the field of corporate finance.

Indonesia's rapid population growth, particularly among adolescents, has raised concerns regarding its social and reproductive health implications, including rising rates of unintended pregnancies, premarital sexual activity, and the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). In response to these issues, the government issued Government Regulation (GR) No. 28 of 2024 as a derivative of Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health. One of its provisions regulates the provision of contraceptives for school-aged children and adolescents. This study aims to examine the implications of this provision in relation to religious values, social morality, and the direction of national health policy. The research employs a normative qualitative approach using juridical-philosophical analysis, along with an assessment of public responses, religious leaders’ perspectives, and the views of state institutions regarding the regulation. The findings indicate that Article 103 paragraph (4) letter e has sparked controversy due to the use of the term "provision," which is perceived as ambiguous and contradictory to religious norms particularly Islamic teachings and is viewed as potentially legitimizing premarital sexual behavior among students. These findings highlight the necessity for the government to reassess regulations that conflict with religious and local cultural values. Furthermore, the study advocates for strengthening preventive reproductive health education grounded in religious and moral principles, rather than directly providing contraceptives within school settings.
