Image denoising is a fundamental challenge in image processing, where the objective is to remove noise while preserving critical image features. Traditional denoising methods, such as Wavelet, Total Variation (TV) minimization, and Non-Local Means (NLM), often struggle to maintain the topological integrity of image features, leading to the loss of essential structures. This study proposes a Cubical Persistent Homology-Based Technique (CPHBT) that leverages persistence barcodes to identify significant topological features and reduce noise. The method selects filtration levels that preserve important features like loops and connected components. Applied to digit images, our method demonstrates superior performance, achieving a Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) of 46.88 and a Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM) of 0.99, outperforming TV (PSNR: 21.52, SSIM: 0.9812) and NLM (PSNR: 22.09, SSIM: 0.9822). These results confirm that cubical persistent homology offers an effective solution for image denoising by balancing noise reduction and preserving critical topological features, thus enhancing overall image quality.

Akuntansi Pajak dan Kebijakan Ekonomi Digital 2024 Asosiasi Riset Ekonomi dan Akuntansi Indonesia

This research is motivated by the drastic decline in stock prices of technology companies in 2022, which reflects heavy financial pressure and deteriorating financial performance until June 2023. This condition raises the potential risk of financial crisis or financial distress. This study aims to examine the effect of cash flow operating, leverage, liquidity, and profitability on financial risk in technology subsector manufacturing companies listed on the IDX during the 2020-2023 period. A quantitative approach with secondary data of company financial reports that have been audited and published by the IDX is used in this study. The purposive sampling technique was applied to select 19 companies as samples from a total of 49 companies. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with Smart PLS software. The results of this study indicate that cash flow operating has no significant effect on financial distress (p> 0.05). In contrast, leverage has a significant positive effect (p < 0.05), while liquidity (current ratio) and profitability (ROA) have a significant negative effect on financial distress (p < 0.05). High leverage increases financial risk, while high liquidity and profitability can reduce the risk of financial distress in technology companies.

Background: Audit delay represents a critical factor affecting the timeliness of financial reporting and information usefulness for decision-making. The property and real estate sector faces unique challenges in audit processes due to complex asset valuations, project accounting, and regulatory requirements, making audit delay a significant concern for stakeholders. Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of firm size, leverage, and audit quality on audit delay in property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Methods: This quantitative study employed multiple regression analysis using a sample of 65 property and real estate companies listed on IDX during 2020-2024, resulting in 325 firm-year observations. Audit delay was measured as the number of days between fiscal year-end and audit report date. Independent variables included firm size (natural logarithm of total assets), leverage (debt-to-equity ratio), and audit quality (Big 4 auditor dummy). Control variables encompassed profitability, company age, and audit opinion type. Results: The findings reveal that firm size has a significant negative effect on audit delay (β = -8.743, p < 0.01), indicating that larger companies experience shorter audit delays. Leverage shows a significant positive effect on audit delay (β = 4.562, p < 0.05), suggesting that higher leverage increases audit complexity and duration. Audit quality demonstrates a significant negative effect on audit delay (β = -12.385, p < 0.01), confirming that Big 4 auditors complete audits more efficiently. The model explains 68.4% of the variance in audit delay (R² = 0.684). Conclusion: Firm characteristics and audit quality significantly influence audit delay in the property and real estate sector. Companies should focus on maintaining optimal capital structure, engaging high-quality auditors, and leveraging size advantages to minimize audit delay and enhance financial reporting timeliness.
