This study aims to examine one of the disciplines of Islamic law, namely the pricing mechanism from the perspective of Imam Al-Ghazali, in order to create a healthy market environment free from monopolistic practices and manipulation, and aligned with Sharia principles. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a literature study method by reviewing various relevant books, classical texts, articles, and academic journals related to Islamic economics and Imam Al-Ghazali’s thought. The findings indicate that the concept of fair pricing is not solely dependent on the interaction between supply and demand, but must also consider moral and social dimensions, such as justice, honesty, and public welfare. Imam Al-Ghazali strongly emphasized that economic transactions should uphold ethical standards and social responsibility to prevent exploitation and inequality. He argued that pricing must reflect not only market dynamics but also the broader ethical framework rooted in Islamic values. Furthermore, the study explores the concept of economic equilibrium in relation to pricing mechanisms, where prices should ideally balance individual interests with communal welfare. The research also discusses the correlation between economic balance and price-setting policies, including the views of other classical and contemporary Islamic scholars. It is found that state intervention is permissible in certain conditions—particularly when market mechanisms fail to ensure fairness—thus justifying government roles in market supervision and price stabilization. One of the key concepts in Islamic economics is the notion of a just price (al-thaman al-‘adl), as emphasized by Imam Al-Ghazali.. This study concludes that understanding pricing from Al-Ghazali’s perspective offers valuable insights for building ethical and socially responsible economic systems aligned with Islamic teachings.

This research investigates the underlying factors that shape the interest of students from the 2024 cohort in enrolling in the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Education Program at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Padang. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative methodology, data were gathered through a structured, closed-ended questionnaire administered to the entire cohort, which consisted of 89 students. The analysis reveals that the overall level of student interest is categorized as high, with a notable percentage of 55%. Several key variables were identified as influential: (1) self-awareness factors encompassing physical capabilities, intellectual aptitude, intrinsic motivation, and innate talent were rated in the very high category at 56%; (2) familial influences such as the provision of information, emotional support, and parenting styles also ranked very high at 46%; (3) school-related elements including the accessibility of school information systems, teacher roles, peer dynamics, and hands on learning experiences were classified in the high category with 44%; and (4) social media engagement specifically the frequency of use and the quality of educational content was likewise in the high category, scoring 48%. These findings underscore the multifaceted nature of student decision-making, with self-awareness emerging as the most prominent determinant in shaping academic program choices. The study highlights the need for educational institutions to consider these interrelated dimensions when developing recruitment strategies and academic guidance frameworks.

This study aims to examine the influence of the Gini Ratio, Human Development Index (HDI), and Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) on the open unemployment rate in Lampung Province during the 2019–2023 period. The method used in the analysis is a fixed effect model approach with panel data regression, based on secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Lampung Province. The results of the partial test (t-test) indicate that the three independent variables—the Gini ratio, HDI, and LFPR—do not have a significant effect individually on the open unemployment rate in the region. However, the adjusted coefficient of determination (adjusted R²) value of 88.95% indicates that the model can explain almost all the variation that occurs in the open unemployment rate. This shows that although these variables are statistically insignificant in the model, theoretically they still have an important role in explaining unemployment dynamics in Lampung, along with other factors not yet included in the model. This research provides a strong basis for further analysis in formulating unemployment reduction policies, particularly in regions with economic and social characteristics such as Lampung. Recommendations from this study point to the need for a more comprehensive policy approach that considers other macroeconomic variables such as investment, industrial sector growth, and the quality of education and job training to effectively and sustainably reduce unemployment at the regional level.

This study aims to analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of the use of mandatory spending in the management of regional expenditure in the education sector in 35 districts/cities in Central Java Province for the 2019–2022 fiscal year. Mandatory spending is an obligation to allocate at least 20% of the APBD for education, as regulated in national regulations. Efficiency is measured by the Data Envelope Analysis (DEA) method using an output-oriented approach and Variable Return to Scale (VRS) assumptions, where an area is said to be efficient if its efficiency score = 1. Meanwhile, effectiveness is assessed based on the comparison of output and outcomes, and is said to be effective when it reaches a percentage of 90–100%. The results show that there is a disparity between regions. Only Klaten Regency and Semarang City have shown perfect efficiency for four consecutive years. However, none of the areas achieved perfect effectiveness throughout the study period. The COVID-19 pandemic has also affected the dynamics of education budget realization, which has an impact on achieving efficiency and effectiveness. These findings provide strategic implications for local governments in developing education budget policies that are more optimal and oriented towards improving the quality of human resources.

This study aims to analyze the influence of capital structure, company size, and liquidity on the financial performance of manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2023 period. The food and beverage industry is one of the sectors that has a significant contribution to national economic growth, so understanding the factors that affect its financial performance is crucial. The method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques to test the relationships between variables. The data used comes from the annual financial statements of companies that are included in the sub-sector for the past five years. The results of the study show that partially, the capital structure has a significant influence on the company's financial performance, which is shown by a calculated t-value of 6.414 and a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). These findings indicate that the more optimal the capital structure managed by the company, the better its financial performance. On the other hand, company size and liquidity do not show a significant influence on financial performance. The company size has a t-value of -1.493 with a significance of 0.140 (> 0.05), while liquidity has a t-value of 0.765 with a significance of 0.447 (> 0.05). However, simultaneously, these three independent variables together have a significant effect on financial performance, as shown by a calculated F-value of 19,527 and a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05). The results of this study provide important implications for company management to pay more attention to the management of capital structure, as it is the dominant factor in influencing financial performance. Optimizing capital structure can be used as a strategy to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of the company in the midst of the dynamics of the food and beverage industry.

This study aims to analyze interest rate risk management in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that use People's Business Credit (KUR) facilities, with a case study at the Kari Water Drinking Water Depot in Kulim District, Pekanbaru City. Fluctuations in interest rates are one of the financial risks that can affect the continuity of MSME businesses, especially in terms of the ability to pay credit obligations. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the Kari Water Depot faces financial risks due to interest rate fluctuations, operational risks related to water distribution and quality, and legal risks due to drinking water quality regulations. The application of risk management based on ISO 31000 has been proven to help in the process of systematic risk identification, analysis, and mitigation. The mitigation strategy through investment in Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology is considered effective because it can improve product quality and operational efficiency. However, the success of this strategy is greatly influenced by the readiness of human resources, access to financing, and mature risk planning. This study recommends the importance of risk management training for MSMEs and policy support in the form of access to affordable funding and environmentally friendly technology to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of MSMEs amidst economic dynamics.

This study aims to explore the behavioral dynamics of Generation Z (Gen Z) toward digital culinary brands on TikTok, a platform increasingly central to youth consumer engagement. The research investigates how Gen Z interacts with, interprets, and forms relationships with culinary content in a digital environment shaped by algorithmic trends and participatory culture. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 12 Gen Z participants aged 18–24 years who actively engage with culinary brand content on TikTok. Additional data were obtained from observational analysis of brand-related content and user interactions on the platform. Thematic analysis revealed three core themes: emotional engagement with sensory-rich food content, digital consumption as identity performance, and expectations of brand authenticity and interactivity. Participants expressed strong affective responses to visually appealing and immersive content, linked their brand preferences to personal values and social identity, and favored brands that demonstrated responsiveness, humor, and human-like interaction. These findings highlight the role of TikTok not only as a marketing tool but as a cultural space where brand perception and loyalty are socially constructed. This study contributes to the theoretical understanding of consumer engagement by situating Gen Z’s behavior within a sociocultural and digital framework. Practically, it offers insights for culinary brands to develop more authentic, interactive, and value-driven content strategies. The findings also suggest implications for digital marketing policies and content regulation. Future research is recommended to explore cross-platform behaviors and cultural variations in digital brand engagement.

Timeliness of financial reporting is crucial for maintaining company transparency and credibility, especially in uncertain environmental conditions. This study attempts to evaluate the impact of environmental uncertainty on audit report lag, moderated by corporate governance mechanisms (through the proportion of independent commissioners, audit committee size, and audit quality). This study applies a quantitative methodology, utilizing data from 106 companies in the consumer cyclicals sector from 2020–2023, and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings of the study demonstrate that environmental uncertainty has positive significant effect on audit report lag. Audit committee size was found to weaken this relationship, while the percentage of commissioners who are independent and audit quality did not act as moderators. The ineffectiveness of independent commissioners is attributed to their limited direct influence on reporting policies, whereas Big Four auditors tend to prioritize prudence, thereby extending the audit process. These findings have implications for companies to enhance the effectiveness of internal oversight in responding to external dynamics to minimize audit report lag.

The profitability of Village Credit Institutions (LPDs) is influenced by their ability to collect and manage Third-Party Funds (TPF) optimally. However, economic dynamics such as market risk and inflation may weaken the effect of TPF on profitability. This study aims to examine the effect of Third-Party Funds on profitability with market risk and inflation as moderating variables. The research was conducted on LPDs operating in Denpasar City during the 2021–2023 period using 92 financial report observations obtained through purposive sampling. Profitability is measured using Return on Assets (ROA), market risk is proxied by the Net Interest Margin (NIM), and inflation is proxied by the Consumer Price Index (CPI). This study employs a quantitative approach using the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) technique. The results show that Third-Party Funds have a positive and significant effect on profitability. Market risk significantly weakens the relationship between Third-Party Funds and profitability, while inflation is not proven to be a moderating variable in this relationship.

The variables analyzed include abnormal return (AR), trading volume activity (TVA), exchange rates, and cryptocurrency transaction volume. The research sample consists of issuers listed in the LQ45 index and the three largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization—Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether (USDT)—selected through purposive sampling. The findings indicate that the Russian invasion of Ukraine had a significant impact on abnormal returns and trading volume activity of LQ45 stocks, as well as on exchange rates and cryptocurrency trading volumes. This geopolitical event emerged as an external factor contributing to market uncertainty, prompting investors to adjust their investment strategies in both stock markets and digital assets. These findings confirm that global conflicts are closely linked to the dynamics of domestic financial markets.

The objective of this study was to identify the forms of bullying sentences in the film "Die Welle" and to analyze the meaning of these sentences based on the theory of critical discourse analysis by Teun A. van Dijk. A descriptive qualitative method was employed in this study, with data consisting of 18 sentences containing elements of bullying found in the film "Die Welle." The analysis was carried out by identifying themes, narrative structures, as well as semantic, syntactic, stylistic, and rhetorical elements in each sentence. As a result of the analysis, three main forms of bullying sentences were identified: (1) direct verbal insults in 12 sentences or 66.7%; (2) physical threats in 5 sentences or 27.8%; and (3) emotional outbursts in 1 sentence or 5.5%. Based on van Dijk's theory, it was found that the bullying sentences in this film not only represent verbal aggression but also reflect the use of language as a tool of power and dominance within group dynamics. Thus, the film "Die Welle" demonstrates that bullying is not merely an individual act but also part of a social structure that is formed and sustained through discursive practices.
