The culture medium functions to provide nutrition and as a place for microorganisms to grow optimally. The price of agar media is expensive and quite difficult to reach, making examination of microorganisms in the laboratory expensive. This can be overcome by using alternative media that are easy to obtain. One example of a natural ingredient that can be used as an alternative medium is jackfruit seeds which are then processed into flour. Jackfruit seeds can be used as an alternative ingredient because they contain nutrients, namely carbohydrates. The aim of this research was to see the effectiveness of jackfruit seed flour for the growth of the Aspergillus niger fungus. The type of research used is descriptive by describing the growth of the Aspergillus niger fungus on alternative agar media, namely jackfruit seed flour. . After data collection, the data is then processed using a tabulating stage which is presented in table form by showing the growth of the Aspergillus niger fungus macroscopically and microscopically using 10x and 40x magnification which is then grouped based on positive and negative categories.

Body composition refers to the various components that make up a person's body weight, such as lean mass (muscle, water, bones, ligaments, and tendons) and fat mass. As we age, significant changes occur in body composition, including increased fat mass and decreased muscle and bone mass, which often leads to sarcopenic obesity. This condition, which is common in older adults, is associated with frailty, disability, metabolic syndrome, reduced survival rates in certain cancers, and osteopenia/osteoporosis. This activity uses the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) method to measure the body composition of elderly participants at Hana Nursing Home, South Tangerang. A total of 40 participants underwent body composition examinations. The examination results showed that the average total body fat, visceral fat, subcutaneous fat, and skeletal muscle mass were 36.7% each; 8%; 27.6%; and 20.7%. We need to carry out routine body composition checks for early detection to provide timely management, ultimately improving long-term public health. A few of the most prominent forms of taxation in Indonesian law are the Value Added Tax (VAT) and the Sales Tax on Luxury Goods (PPnBM). The supply of taxable products and services is subject to value-added tax, while the sale of luxury items is subject to sales tax. The practical applications of VAT and PPnBM are investigated in this study via the use of qualitative research methodologies. Based on the data, it seems that VAT and PPnBM change annually, with VAT generally going up and PPnBM generally going down. Important societal and economic consequences of VAT and PPnBM were also discovered by this study. State income may be increased by VAT, while societal tax expenses can be reduced through PPnBM. Observation, interviews, and the examination of relevant data are the means of data collection used in this descriptive analytic study. We anticipate that this study's findings will add to our understanding of VAT and PPnBM, as well as the ways in which these policies might affect our country's economy and way of life.

By considering the role of intervening variables, such as ownership structure, financial performance, and company characteristics, this study aims to analyze the impact of macro fundamentals, capital structure, and on firm value in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2019-2023 period. The analytical tool used is Smart-PLS and descriptive quantitative methodology. This study states that ownership structure, macro fundamentals, and capital structure insignificantly affect firm value. In addition, an examination of intervening variables reveals that, in contrast to business characteristics, ownership structure and financial performance moderate the relationship between macro fundamentals, capital structure, and firm value. These results imply that macro fundamentals, capital structure, ownership structure, and financial performance should be considered in evaluating firm value. These results highlight the importance of maintaining an ideal capital structure and improving financial performance for firms to increase firm value.

A novel compound called 3-chloro-4-(4-(dimethylamino)phenyl)-1-(6-methoxybenzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)azetidin-2-one (3-CDBA), derived from beta-lactams, was investigated for its effects on human leukemia (HL-60) cells, pancreatic cancer (TCP-1026) cells, and healthy cells (WRL68) for comparison. The compound showed an inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 91.55 µg/ml on the leukemia cells, 141.3 µg/ml on the pancreatic cancer cells, and 353.8 µg/ml on the healthy cells. This indicates that the compound selectively kills cancer cells while having minimal effect on healthy cells, as higher concentrations are required to kill half of the healthy cells. These findings suggest that the compound has the potential to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. In comparison to conventional antioxidants like ascorbic acid (vitamin C), the beta-lactam derivative (3-CDBA) exhibited a higher percentage of inhibition at the highest concentration, with a value of 72.95% and an IC50 of 42.67 µg/ml. Furthermore, the compound's effects were studied on two types of pathogenic bacteria, specifically Staphylococcus aureus (positive) and Escherichia coli (negative), as well as various Penicillium species. The compound showed the greatest inhibitory effect at a concentration of 1000 µg/ml. In a theoretical examination, molecular docking was employed to design and synthesize a drug using the beta-lactam derivative and a target associated with cancer cells from a protein database. The compound demonstrated a strong and close interaction with amino acids and different sites within the active pocket, resulting in a higher binding energy. This indicates that the compound has the potential to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by disrupting their metabolic processes.  To determine the lethal dose (LD50), the beta-lactam derivative (3-CDBA) was administered to half of the animals in the study.

Thorax radiology examination in children is one of the most frequently performed examinations in hospitals. However, the radiation used in this examination can potentially disrupt the growth and function of the child's imperfect organs. Therefore, patient radiation protection is very important to optimize the radiation dose received. The Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN) has set reference level values in the form of IDRL (Indonesia Reference Level) for Diagnostic Radiology, including CT-Scan, Mammography and Fluorescence, as well as DRL (Diagnostic Reference Level) values for children's thorax. The radiation dose received by the patient must be considered to avoid negative effects on the child's growth. This study aims to determine the measurement of radiation dose on chest radiography examinations of children. In this study, we will compare the radiation dose received by pediatric thorax patients based on the radiation dose standards set by UNSCEAR in 2000. Apart from that, we will also compare the radiation dose received by pediatric thorax patients with other studies. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide useful information and input for hospital diagnostic services in optimizing the radiation dose received by pediatric patients.
