This study explores eleventh-grade students’ perceptions of formative assessment in English language learning. Formative assessment is widely recognized as a strategy that enhances student engagement, reflection, and understanding. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire based on a Likert scale. Fourteen students from Senior High School 1 Wiradesa participated in the study during the 2024/2025 academic year. The results indicate that students generally held positive to very positive views of formative assessment. Key aspects contributing to this perception included timely teacher feedback, active classroom discussions, and the integration of digital tools. Students also reported that formative assessment boosted their confidence, deepened their understanding of the material, and helped them feel more prepared for exams. Overall, the study highlights the crucial role of formative assessment in creating a learning environment that is interactive, reflective, and responsive to students’ needs.

This study aims to develop and modify learning media in the form of a motorcycle headlight electrical trainer to improve the effectiveness of learning for students at State Vocational High School (SMK) 4 Lhokseumawe. Conventional learning media are often less able to provide a real picture of the electrical system of motor vehicles, so it is necessary to develop more representative and interactive aids. The method used in this study is the research and development (R&D) method with the Borg and Gall model. The results of the modification include the addition of visual indicators (LED lights), more systematic wiring, and an electric current disturbance simulation panel. The feasibility test was carried out by media experts, material experts, and limited field trials on vocational high school students. The evaluation results showed that the modified trainer was very suitable for use as a learning medium, in terms of clarity of function, ease of use, and visual appeal. The use of this trainer was able to significantly improve students' understanding of the motorcycle headlight electrical system. .

This research aims to develop a pop-up book-based learning media to introduce local wisdom of Indonesian culture to the younger generation. Local wisdom, as an inheritance of knowledge and values from our ancestors, is a national identity that is increasingly poorly understood by the current generation. Therefore, an interesting, creative, and interactive learning media innovation is needed. Pop-up books were chosen because of their ability to present material visually, lively, and allow students to interact directly with the learning content. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The process starts from needs analysis, book design development, prototyping, to trials for grade XI students of SMK. The research instruments included validation questionnaires from material experts, media experts, teacher and student responses, and material comprehension tests. The validation results showed scores of 82.8% (material experts), 78.3% (media experts), and 75.5% (potential user responses), which overall fell into the very feasible category. The findings of the study show that pop-up book media is effective in increasing students' understanding of local wisdom in the context of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. In addition, this research contributes to the preservation of local culture through educational media innovation. This pop-up book media is expected to be an interesting, interactive, and relevant learning solution for students in understanding the diversity of Indonesian culture.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in Indonesia's economy with a contribution of 61.07% to GDP and able to absorb 97% of the national workforce. However, the digitalization era requires MSMEs to adapt to digital technology to maintain competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital marketing training and mentoring programs in improving digital literacy of UMKM practitioners in Balikpapan City. The research method uses an experimental approach with pre-test and post-test design on 25 UMKM practitioners. The research instrument was a questionnaire with 30 multiple choice questions measuring three aspects: basic knowledge of digitalization, understanding of digital marketing, and ability to use social media and marketplaces. The training program was conducted for one day with materials covering UMKM digitalization, digital marketing fundamentals, social media marketing, and marketplace usage. The results showed significant improvements in all aspects: basic digitalization knowledge increased by 59% (from 50.4 to 80.2), digital marketing understanding increased by 71% (from 43.4 to 74.4), and social media and marketplace capabilities increased by 46% (from 59.2 to 86.2). Beginner category participants showed the most significant progress with an average increase of 86%. The program success rate reached 92% with 23 out of 25 participants successfully achieving satisfactory scores. This program proves the effectiveness of digital marketing training in improving UMKM digital literacy and provides a foundation for sustainable digital transformation.

This research was motivated by the importance of understanding Natural Science (IPA) at the elementary school level and the indication of learning difficulties in grade 6 students of SDN 170 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors that cause science learning difficulties in grade 6 students at the school. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews with students and teachers, and documentation. The results of the study show that there are two main factors causing science learning difficulties, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors include students' difficulty in understanding abstract science material, low motivation to learn, and lack of concentration during learning. Meanwhile, external factors that contribute to science learning difficulties are the lack of attention and support from parents at home, the influence of a play environment that is less supportive of learning, and the variety of teacher teaching methods that need to be improved. Thus, this study identifies the need for comprehensive interventions to overcome students' science learning difficulties, involving both internal aspects of students and external factors that influence them.

This study aims to analyze the forms of learning difficulties experienced by students in understanding the path independence theorem in the Vector Calculus course. The focus of the research is a group of students who had previously presented this material in class. Data were collected through a questionnaire containing both open- and close-ended questions to explore conceptual understanding, difficulties in distinguishing between conservative and non-conservative fields, and challenges in solving application problems. The analysis revealed that although students reported having a fair grasp of the basic concepts, they still expressed uncertainty in understanding the relationship between path independence and the conditions for conservative fields. Difficulties were also found in spatial visualization and in connecting concepts with the fundamental theorem of calculus. In addition, students showed a preference for worked example problem sets and visual learning media as the most effective learning supports. These findings indicate the need for an interactive, contextual, and visually supported instructional approach to enhance students’ conceptual understanding and application skills related to this topic.

This study aims to examine the use of active and passive sentences in the Bahasa Indonesia: Aku Bisa! textbook used in Grade 1 of elementary school under the Merdeka Curriculum. Textbooks play an important role in the learning process, particularly as examples of proper and correct language use for students. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using documentation techniques to identify and analyze sentence structures based on appropriate linguistic rules. The main focus of the study is to reveal the forms of active and passive sentences used, and to assess their accuracy in terms of structure and appropriateness for young learners' language development. The findings show that some sentences are structurally inaccurate, overly complex, or misaligned with the cognitive development of first-grade students. Such issues can hinder students' understanding of the learning material. Therefore, editing is necessary to simplify and correct sentence structures so that they are more communicative and easier to understand. This study emphasizes the importance of the editing process in textbook development to ensure high linguistic quality, support effective learning, and align with the principles of the student-centered Merdeka Curriculum.

Speaking skills are one of the fundamental aspects of language competence that play a central role in interpersonal communication, learning, and individual self-development in society. In the context of language learning, speaking skills not only reflect a person's linguistic ability, but also demonstrate maturity of thinking, social skills, and the capacity to participate actively in various communicative situations. UNESCO (2023) emphasizes that strengthening oral communication skills among students is very important to prepare them to face the challenges of the increasingly complex and dialogue-based world of work and global society. This teaching material development model is also driven by the use of technology and interactive multimedia, such as animated videos, to web-based e-modules. Recent studies have shown that teaching materials like this have been proven to improve students' maharah kalam (speaking), reading comprehension, and critical thinking skills in understanding Arabic texts more comprehensively

This study aims to describe and analyze various forms of lexical errors found in the observation report texts in Indonesian language textbooks for eighth-grade junior high school students, as well as identify inappropriate diction based on categories such as connotative, denotative, formal, informal, general, specific, and borrowed foreign words. The research utilized a qualitative descriptive linguistic analysis of three authentic and representative observation report texts. The findings indicate numerous lexical errors, including the use of foreign terms without equivalents, redundant synonyms, and words inappropriate for formal or scientific contexts. These errors potentially reduce communication effectiveness, disrupt message clarity, and affect language correctness within the texts. If left uncorrected, such errors may cause ambiguities and hinder students’ comprehension of the reports objectively and accurately. Suggested corrections include selecting precise, specific words aligned with Indonesian language norms and employing neutral, objective language to facilitate student understanding and strengthen the educational value of the textbook. These findings provide valuable references for developing quality teaching materials and enhancing teachers’ and authors’ competencies in crafting effective, standards-compliant texts. This research is expected to offer practical and theoretical benefits, ultimately improving the overall language learning process in educational settings.

This socialization activity aims to enhance students' understanding of business planning, particularly in the acrylic flower board decoration industry. The main problem faced by the community partners, who are aspiring student entrepreneurs, is the lack of practical and theoretical knowledge in designing comprehensive and applicable business plans. The proposed solution is integrated training that includes basic business planning theory, marketing strategy, financial analysis, and hands-on simulation focused on creative products. The methods used in this activity involve a combination of material presentations, group discussions, and direct practice in preparing business plans using the acrylic flower board as a case study. This study aims to determine students' understanding of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) material and its implications for the ease of practicing religious values among students at SMP Negeri 3 Limboto Barat. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that students' understanding of IRE material is quite good, particularly in aspects of worship they experience in their daily lives, such as prayer and fasting. IRC teachers play a central role in the learning process by applying interactive methods, hands-on practice, and setting a good example. The implications of this understanding are evident in students' practice of religious values, such as increased awareness of performing Dhuha prayer and congregational prayer voluntarily, as well as their active participation in religious activities at school. Supporting factors in PAI learning include the role of teachers as role models, adequate school facilities, and parental involvement. The inhibiting factors are time constraints, differences in students' learning styles, and a lack of support from the environment outside of school. However, teachers are able to overcome these obstacles with creative and adaptive learning strategies.

English language skills are an essential competency for health students, especially in accessing scientific literature, understanding medical terminology, and facing the demands of professional globalization. However, the suitability of the English language learning curriculum with the specific needs of health students is still an issue. This study aims to identify the academic and professional English language needs of health students at Hafshawati University. The study used a qualitative approach with an open-ended questionnaire instrument that was analyzed thematically. Participants consisted of five students from various semesters and health study programs. The results showed that the ability to read and understand English-language medical references was the main need, followed by speaking skills in the context of professional communication. Non-formal learning media such as YouTube and TikTok were also actively utilized by students. The implications of this study indicate the importance of curriculum reformulation based on needs analysis and strengthening the English for Specific Purposes (ESP) approach in health education. These findings provide a basis for the development of teaching materials, lecturer training, and more contextual and applicable learning designs.

This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to reveal how the implementation of classical guidance services plays a role as a preventive and curative effort against online game addiction in students of SMP Negeri 2 Kuala. The problem of online game addiction has become a phenomenon that disrupts the learning process and social-emotional development of students. In this study, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with BK teachers, homeroom teachers, and several students who were indicated to be addicted, as well as documentation of the guidance program being run. The results of the study showed that classical guidance services were able to provide students with an understanding of the negative impacts of online game addiction and raise awareness to manage playing time healthily. Preventive efforts were made through the delivery of material on time management, the consequences of addictive behavior, and strengthening learning motivation. Meanwhile, the curative approach was applied with further counseling for students who had shown symptoms of severe addiction. BK teachers also involved parents in the student recovery process. In conclusion, classical guidance services have a significant role in overcoming online game addiction if implemented systematically and continuously.

This study aims to examine the use of Macaulay2 software in improving students' computational thinking skills in mathematics learning, especially in abstract algebra material. Macaulay2 as an open-source Computer Algebra Sistem (CAS) provides a symbolic and algorithmic environment that encourages logical and systematic exploration of mathematical concepts. Literature reviews show that the use of Macaulay2 can strengthen conceptual understanding, train computational thinking, and introduce mathematical programming to students. However, technical challenges, limited Indonesian language teaching materials, and limited educational infrastructure are obstacles that need to be overcome through collaboration between educational stakeholders.

This study aims to examine the challenges and strategies of Management Study Program students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) in understanding online lecture materials. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of closed questionnaires distributed to 25 respondents of fourth semester students. The results showed that although there were still technical problems such as unstable internet connections, the majority of students were able to adapt to the online learning system. The most dominant learning strategies used are active and independent strategies, such as reading, taking notes, repeating material, watching learning videos, and managing study time. In addition, group discussions through media such as WhatsApp and Telegram also help clarify understanding of the material. Students also rely on learning materials provided by lecturers through digital platforms (PDF, video, and LMS) as the main source of independent learning. This study concludes that students' success in understanding online lecture materials is strongly influenced by a combination of active learning strategies, group collaboration, and material support provided by lecturers. Therefore, continuous collaboration between students, lecturers, and institutions is needed to create a more effective and inclusive online learning system.

Smartpolitan Village is a village development concept that integrates information and communication technology (ICT) in resource management and public services to improve the quality of life of the community. For this reason, this Community Service activity is entitled "Improving Television Information Literacy for Village Officials as a Means of Validating Fake News (Hoaxes) in Smartpolitan Village Wantilan, Subang Regency". The aim is to implement the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and assist partners in improving their ability to develop an understanding of information literacy towards a Smartpolitan Village. Limited digital literacy of the community and the vulnerability of the community to the spread of hoaxes. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve the digital literacy of the community and utilize television as a medium for validating fake news so that Wantilan Village can truly become a Smartpolitan Village that is smart, informative, and resilient to hoaxes. Based on the identification of problems with partners, the team provides solutions and methods that can overcome these problems through: 1. Providing basic introductory material on fake news and how to validate information through television which is used as knowledge. 2. Providing direction in the form of material, techniques for preventing the spread of hoax news and the impacts of spreading or consuming fake news without validating it. 3. Conducting assistance in the practice of validating television media information. This community service activity was conducted at SDN Sebaung 2 with the aim of improving third-grade students’ understanding of arithmetic operations through the use of "number pocket" media. The main issue identified was the low comprehension of addition and subtraction operations, caused by monotonous teaching methods that did not actively engage students. The activity began with classroom observation and interviews with the teacher, followed by designing a solution using number pocket media, preparing materials, implementing the learning session, and conducting a brief evaluation. The methods used included demonstration and a learning-by-playing approach to create an enjoyable and interactive learning environment. The results showed that students found it easier to understand the material, were more active during the learning process, and demonstrated high enthusiasm. The number pocket media proved to be effective in supporting the learning process and can serve as an alternative method for teachers to deliver arithmetic material in a more engaging way.

Adolescence is an important period in the formation of a person's personality, where individuals tend to be easily influenced by the social environment including associations. Unhealthy associations have the potential to cause various problems such as peer pressure, low self-confidence, and the emergence of deviant behavior. This service activity aims to increase the awareness and understanding of Muhammadiyah 6 Samarinda Junior High School students regarding the importance of applying ethics in society through the provision of classical guidance services. The activity, which carries the theme "Ethics in Society: Fun Friends Are Not Toxic", was held for three days on May 14-16, 2025, with three main sessions lasting 150 minutes every day. The material provided includes the introduction of the concept of social ethics, identification of healthy and unhealthy associations, ethical values in Islam, and ethics of behavior on social media. Through participatory and reflective methods, students are invited to actively discuss, conduct social simulations, and reflect on the values learned. The results of the evaluation showed an increase in student understanding, changes in social attitudes, and openness in communicating with guidance and counseling teachers.

Environmental law enforcement provides space for environmental organizations to file lawsuits in the interests of environmental conservation as regulated in Article 92 of Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management. However, in practice, the right to sue environmental organizations is not always accepted by the courts, especially when it concerns certain areas such as Limited Production Forests. This study aims to analyze the material of environmental organizations' lawsuits based on Decree Number 16/PDT.G/LH/2023/PN.BKN. This study uses a normative juridical method and a case study approach with data sources in the form of court decision documents and related laws and regulations. The results of the study show that in this case, this Decision shows that it recognizes the active role of environmental organizations in supervising and suing permit applications for forest areas. In this case, the plaintiff organization argued that the defendant's actions in carrying out exploitation activities in the Limited Production Forest area had violated the law and harmed the ecological function of the forest, thus fulfilling the elements of an unlawful act as regulated in Article 1365 of the Civil Code. This finding resulted in an understanding of the analysis related to the material of the environmental organization's right to sue as an instrument of social control and supervision of forest area utilization policies.
