This study investigates the influence of Provincial Minimum Wage (PMW), Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR), and Population Growth Rate (PGR) on Employment Opportunities (EO) across 20 most populous provinces in Indonesia from 2017 to 2024. Using a quantitative approach and panel data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency, the analysis applies the Fixed Effect Model selected through Chow and Hausman tests. The Outcomes indicate that PMW has a significant negative effect on EO, implying that wage increases without corresponding productivity growth can reduce job absorption. Conversely, LFPR has a significant positive effect, reflecting that a higher labor force engagement boosts employment. PGR has a negative but statistically insignificant effect. The F-test confirms that all three variables jointly influence EO. These results highlight the need to harmonize wage regulations, human capital development (HDI), and population planning to support inclusive and sustainable employment in regions experiencing high demographic pressures.

Street-level bureaucracy refers to the role of frontline bureaucrats who directly engage with the public in the implementation of public policies, including stunting management. In Sidoarjo Regency, stunting remains a critical public health issue with long-term implications for human capital development, despite the government’s continuous efforts to reduce its prevalence. Actors such as posyandu cadres, health center personnel, and officials from the District Health Office serve as the front line in detecting stunting cases, delivering nutritional counseling, monitoring child growth, and connecting communities with essential health services. However, the effectiveness of these roles is often constrained by limited resources, excessive workloads, lack of adequate training, and insufficient incentives that do not reflect the complexity of their responsibilities. Furthermore, policy implementation is frequently hindered by weak inter-sectoral coordination, low community engagement, and the gap between administrative guidelines and the realities faced in the field. The discretionary power held by these street-level bureaucrats becomes both a strength and a challenge—allowing for flexible adaptation to local needs while raising concerns about accountability and service consistency. Addressing stunting effectively at the local level requires strategic capacity-building for implementers through continuous training, fair compensation, and strengthened collaboration among governmental actors and other stakeholders. These efforts must be integrated, holistic, and sustainable in order to truly tackle the root causes of stunting and generate meaningful improvements in public health outcomes.

Interpretation of debt-to-equity swap provisions for goods purchase transactions as stipulated in the Financial Services Authority Regulation (POJK) Number 14/POJK.04/2019 concerning Affiliated Transactions and Conflicts of Interest in Certain Transactions. The principle of openness and fairness in transactions between affiliated parties, including in the context of debt-to-equity swaps. However, this provision does not explicitly regulate the conversion of debt arising from goods purchase transactions, thus creating room for legal interpretation regarding whether business debt from operational activities can be converted into equity participation through the issuance of new shares. This study aims to analyze the implementation of debt-to-equity conversion as a financial restructuring strategy, with a focus on legal certainty and protection of public shareholders based on POJK 14/2019. The study uses a normative legal approach with the method of statutory regulations and case studies on PT SLJ Global Tbk. The results of the study indicate that PT SLJ Global Tbk has complied with the formal procedures of POJK 14/2019, including information disclosure, GMS approval, and unaffiliated creditor criteria. However, the conversion of business debt creates legal ambiguity due to the lack of clarity as to whether the debt meets the definition of “loan” in POJK 14/2019. In addition, the dilution of public shares by 34.32% without adequate protection mechanisms indicates a lack of legal certainty. The study recommends normative interpretation and strengthening of regulations to ensure fairness and legal certainty in the practice of debt conversion. Keywords: ; ; ; ;

This study aims to examine the effect of socio-economic factors and religiosity on stock ownership decisions among Muslim families in Indonesia. The data used are panel data from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) for the years 2007 and 2014, consisting of 32,074 observations from 16,037 household heads. The independent variables include gender, age, household size, income, education level, marital status, social expenditures, area of residence, employment status, and religiosity. The analysis was conducted using probit regression, supported by likelihood ratio tests, goodness-of-fit measures, and marginal effects analysis. Economic globalization is a process that significantly impacts the structure and values within Islamic political economy. Market integration, trade liberalization, and cross-border capital flows have created an increasingly competitive and capitalistic global economic order. On one hand, globalization provides opportunities for developing countries, including Indonesia, to access new technologies, expand export markets, and increase foreign investment. However, on the other hand, globalization also poses serious challenges for Islamic political economy, particularly due to the dominance of capitalist principles that contradict the fundamental values of Islamic economics, such as justice ('adl), balance (tawazun), and the prohibition of riba and gharar. Additionally, internal challenges such as low community literacy, a lack of innovation in Sharia-compliant financial products, and insufficient policy support further hinder the development of the Islamic economy. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method based on literature studies to analyze the impact of globalization on Islamic political economy. The findings indicate that adaptive strategies, innovation enhancement, regulatory strengthening, and the improvement of literacy and research are necessary for Islamic political economy to play a strategic role in addressing the challenges of globalization. Thus, it is hoped that Islamic political economy can contribute to the realization of a more just and sustainable global economic order.

This research aims to examine the Islamic economic perspective on home-based businesses in improving the welfare of the people on Miang Island, as well as tracing their development and supporting and inhibiting factors. The method used is field research with a qualitative approach and descriptive techniques, with data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation from primary and secondary sources. The results show that home-based businesses make a real contribution to improving the community's economy by utilizing local potential and applying Islamic values such as honesty, trustworthiness, and fairness in their management. This business is growing rapidly and has become the main alternative to increase family income, while encouraging local economic empowerment. Family support in running the business provides efficiency and strengthens the sense of community, and is supported by community loyalty as regular customers. However, challenges faced include limited capital to expand the business, instability in raw material prices, and competition from larger businesses. These constraints often prevent businesses from increasing their production capacity and reaching a wider market.

Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is the main pillar in maintaining investor trust and capital market stability. In the midst of dynamic capital market developments, the principle of transparency and accountability is a key element in building public trust and ensuring investor protection. Law No. 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies (UUPT) as the main legal framework for regulating corporate entities in Indonesia, has a strategic position in regulating the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GGC) principles, especially in the capital market supported by public companies. This study aims to examine the legal implementation of transparency and accountability obligations in Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as regulated in the UUPT and linked to the obligations of public companies in the capital market. This study applies a normative legal approach with a descriptive analysis method to statutory regulations, legal literature, and literature studies from five journals and five relevant law books. The results of this study indicate that the UUPT has emphasized the responsibility of corporate organs in implementing the principles of openness and accountability. Therefore, stricter supervision and strict enforcement of sanctions are needed so that the principles of Good Corporate Governance are truly implemented in real terms.
