This study was conducted to understand how parenting styles significantly influence the process of shaping children’s behavior. The method used in this research was a qualitative approach, with data collection carried out through interviews and direct observation of participants aged 10–18 years who live in Cicendo District, Bandung. Based on the results conveyed by several participants, it can be seen that parenting styles play a very important role in children’s growth and development as well as in the formation of their emotional conditions. Parents who play a positive role such as giving more attention, communicating well, and providing full support tend to build positive responses and emotional stability in children. This helps shape a healthy personality and creates a comfortable home environment that makes children feel safe. In contrast, parents who display negative roles and parenting styles such as being harsh, lacking attention, and frequently engaging in conflict tend to make children feel pressured and lack self confidence due to unmet emotional support. As a result, children may limit their relationship with their parents, which leads to emotional instability. Overall, the discussion shows that the family is the primary foundation for children, as their growth and development are strongly influenced by how parents fulfill their roles in shaping children’s personalities, which ultimately impacts their lives in the future.

The Fast Beauty phenomenon presents social pressure from marketing strategies that create a feeling of worry about being left behind, thus encouraging generation Z consumers to purchase beauty products in the Fast Beauty brand category. This study aims to examine the relationship between Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) and purchase decisions among generation Z as consumers of Fast Beauty products. The method used in this study was a quantitative correlational method with 200 participants aged 18 to 30 years, of which 7 male (3.5%) and 193 female (96.5%). Data collection was conducted through an online questionnaire compiled using the Missing Out Scale (FoMOS) and a Purchase Decision scale using a Likert scale of 1 to 4. The analysis results show a significant positive relationship between Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) and purchase decisions (r = 0.620, p < 0.05), where the higher the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), the higher the tendency of Generation Z consumers to make Fast Beauty product purchases. These analysis results align with previous research showing that consumers experiencing Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) tend to make product purchases without careful consideration due to concerns about being left behind in their social environment. The implications of this research show the importance of implementing marketing strategies that pay more attention to the psychological side of consumers and the implementation of more conscious consumer behavior before purchasing Fast Beauty products.

Peat characteristics include low fertility, high acidity, and poor drainage because it comes from the weathering of organic matter under anaerobic conditions. However, peat has environmental benefits such as absorbing carbon, water buffers, and providing habitat for various unique flora and fauna. The use of peat as agricultural land is widely used by farmers in Pontianak City because it has a very large peatland area with a traditional agricultural system. However, traditional farming will have local knowledge (local wisdom) as a way to minimize damage to the peat ecosystem as an adaptation effort. This study aims to examine the adaptation of peatland management in traditional farming in Pontianak City. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive and multiple linear regression analysis. The number of research samples was 68 farmers. The results of the study showed that traditional farmers have paid attention to the sustainability of their farming to minimize environmental damage. The results of the study showed that the adaptations carried out were making wells to maintain water availability, using short-lived vegetables that require shallow drainage of 20-30 cm and are adaptive to peat, providing intensive shade, planting trees on empty land, cleaning intensive irrigation, providing ameliorant ash, lime, chicken manure intensively, and arranging planting patterns with diversification. The determining factors for peatland management adaptation include age, land area, length of farming, participation of fire-conscious communities, and intensity of participation in outreach.

This study aims to: (1) examine the effect of an entrepreneurship program using a Design thinking approach on the entrepreneurial spirit of Grade V students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Baraya 1, Makassar City, and (2) examine the effect of an entrepreneurship program using a Design thinking approach on student independence of Grade V students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Baraya 1, Makassar City. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of two groups: an experimental group that received an entrepreneurship program based on Design thinking and a control group that did not receive the treatment. Data were collected using questionnaires measuring students’ entrepreneurial spirit and independence, supported by documentation. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing through an independent samples t-test. The results indicate that the entrepreneurship program using a design thinking approach had a significant positive effect on students’ entrepreneurial spirit and independence. The independent samples t-test revealed that the program significantly improved students’ entrepreneurial spirit (p = 0.002 < 0.05) compared to the control group. Likewise, a very significant effect was found on student independence, with a significance value of p = 0.001 < 0.05. These findings confirm that the application of a design thinking–based entrepreneurship program effectively enhances key entrepreneurial attributes, including creativity, initiative, responsibility, and independence among fifth-grade elementary school students.

Attention span and cognitive focus in young minds these days are increasingly structured by the growing influence of digital distractions. Drawing from the ideas of Foucault and Nietzsche, this paper examines how technology molds behavior and, at the same time, is used as a tool of control through power relations. This digitally fosters a form of nihilism, the sense life has no purpose. By using a mixed-methods approach, this research combines the surveying and in-depth interviewing of students and instructors about how technology influences attention, learning, and academic performance. Results indicate that while technology brings many benefits, it also provides significant challenges-most notably via social media and smartphone distractions. These distractions reduce attention spans, decrease deep learning, and contribute to cognitive overload. This study therefore calls for the integration of technology into education in a balanced way, highlighting digital literacy, mindful use, and distraction-reduction strategies. In the process, self-awareness, self-regulation, and responsible use will allow people to use its benefits rather than fall into disengagement and cynicism. Technology should serve as a tool for learning and growth-not a barrier to focus and intellectual development.

This study aims to analyze the obstacles in Social Studies (IPS) learning related to global issues influenced by technological advancement through a literature review method. Social Studies plays an essential role in shaping students’ understanding of social, economic, cultural, and political life while fostering global awareness in the digital era. However, in practice, IPS learning often faces various challenges that reduce its effectiveness and attractiveness. One of the main problems is students ’low interestin IPS, as it is often perceived as boring and overly theoretical, combined with the influence of technology that diverts students’ attention toward digital entertainment. Other contributing factors include non-interactive teaching methods, limited learning facilities, unconducive classroom environments, and a lack of parental support. Through a comprehensive literature review, this study found that relevant strategies to overcome these issues include Project-Based Learning, Technology Integration, and Contextual Approaches. These strategies enable students to learn actively, critically, and collaboratively by linking IPS material to global issues and real-world phenomena. The recommended solutions include implementing project-based education, utilizing interactive digital media, and fostering intercultural dialogue within the learning process. The results of this study are expected to provide theoretical contributions to the development of adaptive IPS learning models in response to technological progress, as well as practical benefits for teachers, schools, and policymakers in creating Social Studies learning that is engaging, meaningful, and relevant to the global challenges of the 21st century.

This study examines the effect of consumer involvement on purchase intention toward Reavers ID sportswear products, focusing on cognitive involvement, affective involvement, enduring involvement, and situational involvement. The research addresses the problem of how different dimensions of consumer involvement influence consumers’ intention to purchase in the context of bazar-based marketing, where purchasing decisions are shaped by both rational evaluation and situational factors. The main objective of this study is to analyze the individual and simultaneous effects of the four involvement dimensions on consumers’ purchase intention. A quantitative approach with a causal design was applied, using survey data collected from 160 respondents who had visited the Reavers ID bazar and showed interest in purchasing sportswear products. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS, supported by validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results show that cognitive involvement, affective involvement, enduring involvement, and situational involvement all have positive and significant effects on purchase intention, both partially and simultaneously. Cognitive involvement was found to have the most dominant influence, indicating that rational evaluation of product quality and benefits plays a crucial role in shaping consumers’ buying intentions. These findings suggest that purchase intention is strengthened through a combination of rational consideration, emotional attachment, long-term interest, and supportive purchasing situations. In conclusion, enhancing both informational and experiential aspects of marketing strategies is essential for increasing consumers’ purchase intention toward Reavers ID sportswear products.

Literature is not only a source of entertainment, but also a tool for contemplating human life that is full of internal conflicts and psychological issues. Short stories as a type of literature often present the realities of life in a concise yet meaningful way, making them interesting to analyze with a variety of scientific methods. This research focuses on the short story "Happiness That Kills" by applying two main approaches, namely the analysis of intrinsic elements and literary psychology. This story depicts a happy state that appears from the outside, but actually hides the emotional burden experienced by the main character, Malla. The method applied in this study is qualitative descriptive with literature study techniques, which is oriented towards the introduction of themes, plots, characters, settings, and mandates, as well as exploring the psychological dynamics of characters using Freud's psychoanalytic theory. The results of the study show that the internal conflicts in this story arise from the battle between the id, ego, and superego, especially when Malla struggles to maintain harmony in her family at the expense of herself. Overall, this short story shows that forced happiness can lead to suffering. By combining structural and psychological analysis, this study reveals the deep meaning related to social pressures, inner struggles, and humanitarian messages that the author seeks to convey. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to the study of literature, especially in understanding the relationship between story structure and the psychological condition of characters in contemporary literary works.

This community service initiative provides a comprehensive business analysis to evaluate financial feasibility, aiming to mitigate potential losses and ensure operational viability. By offering concrete data on business prospects and challenges, this analysis serves as a strategic guide for resource allocation and market targeting, while simultaneously enhancing attractiveness to potential investors. The program was conducted in the South Nunukan District, Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan. As Indonesia's 34th province and a strategic border region, North Kalimantan faces significant challenges in food security due to limited supply chains. A central component of this study is the Break-Even Point (BEP) analysis—the threshold at which a business incurs neither profit nor loss. The BEP analysis provides critical insights into the relationship between pricing, operational costs, sales volume, and production levels. Consequently, it serves as a vital decision-making tool for business owners to optimize profitability. The results of this study demonstrate that, despite the continued use of traditional methods, the polyculture system remains highly profitable and sustainable for the local community.

The era of globalization and the rapid advancement of information technology have transformed the landscape of dakwah (Islamic propagation), shifting from conventional pulpits to virtual communication platforms (social media, podcasts, streaming). This transition, in line with the Diffusion of Innovation Theory, enables Islamic messages to reach a broad audience without geographical boundaries. Digital dakwah is highly relevant and urgent to research given the dominant use of social media by Muslim Youth, a group that seeks attention but also possesses a tendency toward critical thinking. This research has a dual aim: (1) to analyze the Interpretation of Muslim Youth towards virtual dakwah studies, and (2) to analyze the Effectiveness of Implementing Dakwah Studies through social media platforms. The accessibility of fragmented and competitive content makes the interpretation process active and crucial, where youth are no longer passive recipients but choose sources based on algorithms and their own interests. This study uses the Constructivism Paradigm to understand a dynamic and complex social reality, employing a Descriptive Qualitative Approach and the Online Ethnography Method. Data is collected through Observation, Interviews, and Documentation, with Data Triangulation (source, technique, and time) to ensure the validity of the findings. Social media holds great potential as an effective and inclusive dakwah tool. However, the effectiveness of its expansion must be balanced with the quality of the content and the capacity of Muslim Youth to perform critical, contextual, and responsible interpretation.
