Traditional games are an important part of cultural heritage rich in educational, social, and moral values. However, technological developments in the modern era have led children in Merangin Regency to abandon traditional games. They spend more time with gadgets, causing a decline in social interaction and awareness of local culture. Among various types of traditional games, congklak has become one of the least played. This situation encouraged designers to create an educational and engaging medium for children. As a solution, an Illustrated Book of the Traditional Game Congklak of Merangin Regency was designed as both a learning medium and an effort to preserve local culture. The illustrated book was chosen because it can convey messages visually and verbally in an appealing way, making it easier for readers to understand the story and the values contained within it. The design process used the 4D method (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) with 5W+1H analysis to meet design needs. In addition to the main book, supporting media such as posters, x-banners, t-shirts, tumblers, tote bags, bookmarks, and e-books were also developed. The design feasibility test obtained a score of 90%, categorized as very feasible, covering aspects of storyline, illustration, layout, and language. The content feasibility test achieved a score of 100%, also categorized as very feasible, including cultural, cognitive, social, and character education values. This book is declared highly feasible and effective as a learning medium as well as a means of preserving the local culture of Merangin Regency.

This study discusses the qardh contract from a classical perspective and discusses the transformation of the practice of Sharia digital lending that is developing in the fintech era. Qardh is one type of approach to pious to Allah and is a type of mu'amalah that is characterized by assistance (ta'awun) to another party to meet their needs. In classical fiqh, Qardh is a loan contract with the condition that the borrowed and repaid are exactly the same and are returned at a time mutually agreed upon at the time of the contract without any excess when returning it. However, the development of financial technology has presented a capital for digital lending services in accordance with the concept of Sharia. This study aims to analyze the differences between the qardh contract in classical and contemporary fiqh, including its implementation in a contract in accordance with Sharia principles. The results of the study indicate that Sharia digital lending can use the qardh contract as a legal basis, but must still implement it with the principle of qardh hasan, namely avoiding elements of usury and gharar, and adapting to modern regulations. The form of the qardh contract in digital sharia lending products illustrates contemporary fiqh efforts in responding to the lives of modern society.

The Sharia Supervisory Board (SSB) plays a crucial role in ensuring that Islamic insurance companies operate in accordance with sharia principles. This study aims to analyze the role of the SSB in overseeing products, contract types, and risk management practices used by Islamic insurance companies. To conduct this analysis, a literature review was used, compiling fatwas from the National Sharia Council (DSN-MUI), regulations issued by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and academic references on sharia governance. The results indicate that the SSB's role extends beyond issuing fatwas to conducting preventive and corrective supervision of the implementation of contracts such as tabarru' (a type of contract), wakalah bil ujrah (a type of contract), and mudharabah (a type of contract). The SSB also plays a role in evaluating investment feasibility to ensure compliance with halal principles. Although the presence of the SSB increases the trust of insurance participants, challenges remain, such as the limited number of sharia experts, the completeness of independent supervision, and the public's lack of understanding of the SSB's role. Therefore, capacity building of the SSB and strong cooperation with regulators are needed to ensure a more credible and sustainable Islamic insurance system.

This paper explores the use of Milton's Language Pattern Model in English Language Teaching (ELT) advertisements on Instagram. Drawing upon Ellerton's (2006) Milton Model framework and Searle's (1969) Speech Act Theory, with a specific focus on illocutionary acts, this research aims to identify the types of Milton Model patterns present in these advertisements and analyse how they are utilized to influence potential learners. Qualitative content analysis was applied to 30 ELT advertisements from Indonesian Instagram accounts. The results show that 15 out of 20 Milton Model language patterns have been identified, accumulating 78 instances. There were four patterns that become the most common patterns, which are Universal Quantifier (13%), Pace Current Experience (13%), Presupposition (12%), and Unspecified Verb (12%). The findings of the present study demonstrate that advertisers use of Milton Model language patterns in order to implicitly make claims, develop connections with their audience, and guide the audience to the direction of desired actions. This is accomplished by using vagueness, emotional connection, and assumed truths to enhance the persuasive impact, while also utilizing linguistic functions as assertive and directive illocutionary acts. This research expands a valuable insight by uniquely integrating the analysis of Milton Model language patterns with illocutionary functions as assertive and directive acts and specific advertising objectives, offering a novel, multi-layered framework for understanding digital persuasion in the English Language Teaching (ELT).

The shrimp farming industry in Indonesia is predominantly dominated by Vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei), also known as white shrimp. This shrimp species is favored due to its fast growth rate and high economic value. However, the intensive farming practices often lead to various diseases, particularly those caused by parasitic infections. Ectoparasitic infections can create wounds on the shrimp’s body, making it easier for other pathogens like fungi, bacteria, and viruses to invade. This study aims to identify the types and levels of ectoparasite infestations on Vannamei shrimp to understand their impact on shrimp health and farm productivity. The research method used is a literature review, gathering data from various sources such as scientific journals, books, research reports, and technical notes related to shrimp farming. The findings of the study show that the presence of ectoparasites can serve as an important indicator to assess the health of the farming environment. High levels of parasitic infestations indicate suboptimal environmental conditions, such as poor water quality or improper management practices. Therefore, early identification of ectoparasites is crucial to prevent the spread of diseases and ensure the sustainability of Vannamei shrimp farming in Indonesia.
