Education in remote areas continues to face various problems that affect the quality and equity of learning outcomes. The lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure, the shortage of competent teachers, and limited access to learning resources are the main obstacles to implementing effective education in these regions. In addition, the national curriculum, which is uniform in nature, is often less relevant to the needs, potential, and local context of the community. This study aims to analyze educational problems in remote areas and their relevance to adaptive and contextual curriculum design. Using a literature review approach, the study shows that a curriculum aligned with local conditions can improve students’ learning motivation, develop regional potential, and strengthen life skills. Therefore, collaborative efforts among the government, educators, and the community are needed to design a curriculum that can effectively address educational challenges in remote areas in a sustainable manner.

The return of state financial losses does not eliminate the criminal penalty for perpetrators of corruption. However, differences in the application of Restorative Justice in corruption cases have created legal uncertainty, especially in resolving corruption cases that involve relatively small state financial losses. This study aims to examine and analyze the implementation of Restorative Justice for perpetrators of corruption in the management of village funds, which are often caused by administrative errors, lack of understanding, or weak supervision rather than intentional acts of enrichment. This type of research is Doctrinal, using the statute approach, namely legal research that focuses on the application and interpretation of normative legal provisions (laws and regulations) as well as a theoretical concept approach to understand justice in a restorative framework. The resolution of village fund corruption cases with small losses should ideally prioritize recovery of losses and community restoration, but cannot eliminate the criminal aspect entirely, so clear legal guidelines are needed to ensure fairness and legal certainty.

The local cosmetics industry in Indonesia continues to grow rapidly and has become increasingly popular among Generation Z. However, the boycott issue against ESQA Cosmetics, triggered by a controversy involving one of its founders, has led to a decline in consumer trust. This study aims to examine the influence of social media marketing on purchase intention through brand trust in the case of ESQA Cosmetics. The research was conducted in Bali using a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected through an online questionnaire involving 110 Generation Z respondents who had never purchased ESQA products but had interacted with ESQA’s official social media account (@esqacosmetics). Data analysis was performed using SmartPLS with mediation testing to examine the relationships among variables. The results indicate that social media marketing has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention through brand trust, suggesting that the effectiveness of social media strategies can strengthen brand trust and ultimately increase consumer purchase intention. This finding highlights that brand trust serves as a key psychological mechanism linking social media marketing to purchase behavior. The study recommends that ESQA Cosmetics enhance interaction and transparency in its social media communication, provide prompt responses to consumers, and emphasize the authenticity and benefits of its products to rebuild trust and strengthen purchase intention following the boycott issue.

This study examines the role of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in the formation of Mendalo Indah Village Regulation Number 02 of 2018 regarding Waste Collection, referring to Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 111 of 2014. Using an empirical juridical approach with a qualitative research method, the study was conducted in Mendalo Indah Village, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with key stakeholders (including the Village Head, BPD Chair, and community leaders), and documentation. The findings indicate that while the BPD's role in forming village regulations is generally less than optimal, it has a more active role during the discussion and finalization of the draft regulations. However, the initial drafting and proposing stages are often initiated by the Village Head, with limited proactive involvement from the BPD. Key challenges identified include inadequate BPD human resources, limited understanding of their duties, and poor communication and coordination between the BPD, the Village Government, and other stakeholders. The study concludes that improving the BPD’s capacity, knowledge, and collaboration is essential for more effective participation in village regulation formation.

In the current era of digitalization, public needs for fast, efficient, and transparent public services are increasing. The Sidoarjo Regency Government responds to these needs by launching a technology-based public service innovation, namely the Sidoarjo People's Service System (SiPraja) application. This study aims to analyze the implementation of public policy through SiPraja in Medaeng Village, Waru District, Sidoarjo Regency. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation study. Research informants consisted of the Village Head, village officials, SiPraja operators, and community service users. The results show that the implementation of SiPraja in Medaeng Village has been quite good based on the Van Meter and Van Horn indicators, including the size and objectives of the policy, resources, characteristics of implementing agents, attitudes of implementers, inter-organizational communication, and social, economic, political environments. Supporting factors for implementation include high village government commitment, adequate technology infrastructure availability, and active community participation. However, there are still obstacles in the form of uneven digital literacy among the community, especially in the elderly age group, and limited understanding of some residents regarding application usage procedures. This study provides recommendations to increase the intensity of socialization and training on the use of the SiPraja application, as well as optimize the role of RT/RW as community assistance agents.

This study aims to analyze the perceptions of Generation Z members of the Toba Batak ethnic group in Pegagan Julu VI Village, Sumbul District, Dairi Regency, regarding the symbolic meaning of the tradition of giving manuk naniatur (a traditional gift) and the shifting meaning or function of this tradition according to Generation Z. The method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the tradition of giving manuk naniatur is still routinely practiced and has become a local custom. Most Generation Z members value this tradition as an important part of their cultural identity and ancestral heritage, although not all understand its symbols deeply. This tradition is seen as an expression of love and gratitude to God, as well as a sign of blessing, hope, encouragement, and strength for children or families who have migrated. However, there has been a shift in meaning in Generation Z's perspective, from the tradition previously seen as a symbol of respect and spiritual bonding to now being seen more as a cultural identity and shared values that must be maintained. This study illustrates the dynamics of traditional cultural preservation and adaptation to the changing times among the younger generation of the Toba Batak ethnic group.

The formation of Islamic character and environmental awareness is an integral part of the national education goals which are oriented towards developing the personality of students as a whole. In rural schools, such as the free school in Karang Anyar Village, limited learning facilities often become a challenge in implementing character education based on Islamic and environmental values. This study aims to analyze efforts to strengthen Islamic character and environmental awareness through the use of school libraries and family medicinal plant (TOGA) planting activities as contextual learning tools. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation during the real work lecture (KKN) program. Data analysis is carried out through a process of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions in order to obtain an in-depth picture of the effectiveness of the activity. The results of the study show that literacy activities in the library are able to increase reading interest, Islamic insight, and the habituation of religious attitudes among students. Meanwhile, TOGA activities contribute to the formation of attitudes of responsibility, mutual cooperation, and concern for the school environment. The synergy between these two activities has proven effective in strengthening Islamic character values and environmental awareness, as well as creating a school culture that is religious, productive, and ecologically aware.

Hypertension is categorized as one of the most widespread chronic non-infectious conditions among the elderly and can heighten the risk of serious complications. A non-pharmacological strategy that may be implemented to manage hypertension is the administration of boiled moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera), which are known among scientific communities for possessing antioxidant agents and potent bioactive molecules that function synergistically in maintaining cardiovascular stability and decreasing arterial pressure. This empirical study sought to examine how far the intake of boiled moringa leaves contributes to reducing blood pressure values in hypertensive older adults living within Meunasah Papeun Village, situated in Krueng Barona Jaya Subdistrict, Aceh Besar District. The statistical evaluation showed a significant p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), confirming a substantial effect under a quantitative quasi-experimental approach applying the One Group Pretest-Posttest model. The research sample included 20 participants chosen from a total population of 77 individuals through purposive sampling. The investigation took place from May 27 to June 25. Data were obtained using observation forms, standard operating procedures (SOP) for moringa leaf preparation, and manual sphygmomanometer readings. The findings revealed that prior to the application of treatment, the mean systolic blood pressure reached a level of 193.30 mmHg, whereas following the intervention it displayed a considerable decrease, it fell to 129.75 mmHg. The mean diastolic pressure also exhibited a decrease from 94.00 mmHg, confirming the notable influence of moringa leaf decoction in controlling hypertension. In summary, moringa leaf infusion proved effective in lowering blood pressure among elderly individuals suffering from hypertension. It is recommended that patients regularly consume boiled moringa leaves when experiencing increased blood pressure, that community health services provide education regarding non-pharmacological hypertension management through moringa leaf decoction, and that further research explore this topic with broader variables.

The high number of hypertension cases is due to the still low level of hypertension control, specifically medication adherence. Treatment adherence is crucial for maintaining health and well-being in patients with hypertension. In contrast, non-adherence to medication leads to treatment failure. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-management and adherence to hypertension medication in the elderly. This research employed an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The study consisted of 49 elderly people with hypertension in Cot Cut Village, Kuta Baro, Aceh Besar. The sample was chosen using a total sampling technique. The MMAS-8 questionnaire was used to assess adherence to hypertension medication with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.860. The self-management questionnaire showed a Cronbach's alpha of 0.766. The research was conducted from April 8th to 14th, 2025. The data analysis used univariate and bivariate methods, using the chi-square test. The results showed that out of 49 respondents, 21 (42.9%) were less adherent to hypertension medication, and 29 (59.2%) had less adherence to self-management. The chi-square test indicated a p-value of 0.001, showing a relationship between self-management and adherence to hypertension medication among the elderly. This research suggests that hypertensive patients should be supervised to improve medication adherence and self-care management to maintain stable blood pressure.

This study aims to analyze and implement the Village Community Empowerment Program through Sharia Financial Literacy and Introduction to Sharia Banking Products in Perkebunan Gunung Melayu Village. This program is motivated by the low level of formal financial literacy, particularly regarding Sharia banking, among the village community. The methods used are outreach and mentoring, focusing on two main pillars: instilling wise money management habits and introducing Sharia banking services. The results of the activities indicate an increase in community awareness of the importance of saving as a foundation for wise money management from an early age. Participants learn to manage expenses, distinguish between needs and wants, and prepare funds for the future, which are habits that form the basis for healthy and responsible financial behavior. In addition, the community is provided with a comprehensive understanding of the various financial services provided by Sharia banks, such as savings, deposits, checking accounts, ATM cards, and digital services. This understanding empowers the community to manage their money and conduct transactions safely and efficiently through a formal banking system that complies with Sharia principles. Overall, this program contributes significantly to increasing Sharia financial inclusion and literacy in Perkebunan Gunung Melayu Village.

The Community Service Program (KKN) is a form of student community service aimed at helping resolve social problems. This research focuses on publicizing the dangers of online gambling (judol), a global phenomenon that causes moral, economic, and social harm, by integrating it with Sharia principles in Perkebunan Gunung Melayu Village. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR) with a qualitative approach. The 13-day program involved initial observation, educational-participatory socialization interventions that emphasized the prohibition of Maisir and its relationship to Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah (Objectives of Sharia), and impact evaluation. The implementation results demonstrated high community enthusiasm and a significant increase in cognitive awareness and understanding of Sharia as a spiritual bulwark against online gambling practices. Furthermore, supporting activities such as mutual cooperation (gotong royong) successfully revitalized the spirit of collaboration and social participation. Despite time constraints and weather constraints, the entire KKN program successfully had a transformative impact, strengthening the community's religious and social values. This study recommends the need for continued monitoring and mentoring to ensure the sustainability of the awareness that has been formed.

This community service program was carried out in Dolok Kahean Village, Tapian Dolok District, Simalungun Regency, with the main focus on optimizing digital literacy to increase the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The purpose of this program is to strengthen the competitive position of MSMEs, especially Rengginang Ibu Saliem, who still rely on conventional marketing systems and have a minimal understanding of business digitalization. The method used is a participatory and educational approach, carried out in four systematic stages: needs assessment, material design, program implementation, and mentoring and evaluation. The results of the activity showed significant achievements, with an increase in digital literacy understanding by 80% based on a comparison of pre-service and post-service. In practice, partners have succeeded in forming a business digital identity, namely @rengginanghuta_ibusaliem Instagram accounts, and are able to run digital marketing starting from content processes to customer interaction. Theoretically, these findings strengthen the argument that digital literacy is an essential foundation in facing the challenges of the digital economy, where increased competitiveness is not only influenced by technical skills, but also by changes in mindset and business independence. The implication of this program is that local MSMEs now have adequate capabilities and platforms to expand market reach beyond the village boundaries.

Effective waste management is a crucial challenge in maintaining environmental cleanliness and sustainability, especially in rural areas. This study aims to analyze the development of waste banks as a sustainable waste management solution in Jl Sosro GG 1001 Village. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through field observations, in-depth interviews with residents and waste bank managers, and documentation of activities. The results of the study show that the existence of waste banks is able to increase public awareness in sorting and managing household waste. In addition, the social and economic impacts caused are quite significant, such as the formation of work groups, increased additional income, and strengthening the value of mutual cooperation. However, there are a number of challenges that hinder program optimization, including limited operational facilities, lack of continuity of community participation, and lack of technical support from local governments. To overcome this, a capacity building strategy is needed through continuous training, provision of supporting facilities, and cross-sector collaboration. The waste bank in Jl Sosro GG 1001 Village has great potential to be used as a model of sustainable community-based waste management, if supported by a joint commitment between residents, the government, and other stakeholders.

Increasing rural communities’ understanding of national health policy and system is a strategic step toward improving access and equality in Indonesia’s health services. Health policy education plays a crucial role in ensuring that citizens understand their rights and responsibilities as National Health Insurance (JKN) participants, as well as the mechanisms of available healthcare services. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of health policy education in rural areas, focusing on the improvement of health literacy, community participation in decision-making, and the role of health workers as facilitators. A descriptive quantitative method was applied through surveys and field observations in three villages of Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. The findings reveal that 82% of respondents understood their JKN rights after the education program, compared to only 45% before. Major challenges included limited information media and low digital literacy among villagers. The study concludes that community education on national health policy effectively enhances public awareness of universal health coverage but requires continuous support through collaboration between local government, healthcare providers, and educational institutions.

This research aims to evaluate how the optimization of the private learning system contributes to improving the understanding of Islamic values among students and the community in Peria-ria Village, Biru-Biru District, Deli Serdang Regency. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study explores how private learning methods are implemented in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and how they impact learners’ comprehension, character development, and social awareness. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, community leaders, and students, as well as documentation during the 2025 Independent Community Service (KKN Mandiri) program conducted by Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. The findings show that private learning based on Islamic values effectively enhances students’ understanding of akidah, ibadah, and akhlaq in a more interactive and contextual way. The learning process encourages not only religious knowledge but also positive behavioral change, responsibility, and social solidarity within the community. Although this model requires consistent mentoring, it provides valuable insights for developing more adaptive and sustainable Islamic education strategies at the community level.
