Indonesia has long demonstrated its solidarity with the Palestinian people as a reflection of its free and active foreign policy and commitment to human rights. This study aims to examine how Indonesia’s stance toward the humanitarian crisis in Gaza embodies the principles of a free and active foreign policy and aligns with the human rights values enshrined in the 1945 Constitution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Using a normative juridical approach, this research analyzes relevant laws, policies, and official government statements. The findings show that Indonesia’s support for Palestine is not a form of political alignment, but rather a moral expression of justice and humanity. Through active diplomacy, humanitarian assistance, and participation in international forums, Indonesia consistently promotes peace and the enforcement of international humanitarian law. Thus, Indonesia’s position reflects a balance between the principles of a free and active foreign policy and the universal protection of human rights.

This study discusses legal protection for victims of human trafficking disguised as job vacancies in Myanmar, which has affected hundreds of Indonesian citizens. This phenomenon shows a new mode of digital-based human trafficking through social media, offering fictitious high-paying jobs that ultimately lead to forced labor in the online scamming sector. This study uses a normative legal research method with a legislative and conceptual approach, which examines Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of Human Trafficking, Law Number 18 of 2017 concerning the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, the 2000 Palermo Protocol, and a number of International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions related to forced labor and labor migration. The results of the study show that this case fulfills the elements of human trafficking as stipulated in Article 2 paragraph (1) of the TPPO Law, because there are elements of recruitment, fraud, confinement, and forced labor exploitation. From an international law perspective, these actions violate the provisions of the Palermo Protocol and the ILO convention on the elimination of forced labor. The Indonesian government has a legal and moral responsibility to provide protection and recovery for victims of TPPO, as well as to ensure the principle of non-criminalization. However, the implementation of protection is still hampered by weak supervision of digital recruitment, jurisdictional limitations, and suboptimal cross-border cooperation. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the digital-based migrant protection system, enhance bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and apply the principle of state due diligence in the prevention and enforcement of laws against cross-border TPPO.

Civic Education (PKn) has a strategic role as the main means in internalizing the values of Pancasila to students. Through PKn, the process of forming the character and personality of citizens can be carried out systematically, sustainably, and contextually, based on the values of divinity, humanity, unity, democracy, and justice. The internalization of these values is not only through mastery of concepts, but also through habituation of attitudes and behaviors in daily life. An interactive, reflective, and social project-based approach to learning allows learners to actively develop moral awareness, social responsibility, and a sense of nationalism. PKn functions as a character education instrument that not only forms civic knowledge, but also builds a strong national identity and a tolerant spirit. In the context of globalization and the challenges of the digital era, civil society is an important foundation in equipping the young generation to be able to be critical, adaptive, and still uphold national values. Therefore, PKn is not just a formal subject, but a strategic vehicle in forming a generation with Pancasila character who is ready to contribute positively to the life of society, nation, and state. This research emphasizes the urgency of PKn revitalization as a transformative and contextual value education.

Education serves as an institutional mechanism that can accelerate the development of a nation's character. Factors influencing the decline of the Indonesian nation are the result of mental and moral decline, which occurs in both the older and younger generations, including within the government and among the wider community. These factors have resulted in the Indonesian nation experiencing setbacks in various positions in the world. To overcome this problem, the Indonesian nation needs to develop and build a life by instilling positive values to develop good character and be able to compete with other countries in the era of globalization. Character education offers a great opportunity to implement the process of fostering and developing human beings, with education based on noble morals, namely Islamic education that integrates faith, sharia, and morals in a learning system that is based on Islamic morals and influences self-improvement. One of the advantages of Al-Islam for humanity is the creation of a comprehensive and consistent method for developing mentality, producing generations, building society and culture, and upholding the principles of glory and civilization. Child educators must continue to seek more effective methods, seeking informative educational rules in preparing children mentally and morally, scientifically, spiritually, and socially, so that children can reach perfect maturity.

The climate crisis is no longer just a concern for environmental activists, but has evolved into a strategic threat affecting global stability. The climate crisis is now worsening into a serious threat to the sustainability of human life and the existing ecosystems on Earth. In his book, "The Uninhabitable Earth," Arne Naess provides deep insights thru the Deep Ecology approach, which emphasizes the intrinsic value of all forms of life. This study explores the relationship between the environment and cosmology and its impact on human policies and behavior toward nature. By analyzing the interaction between humans and the environment, we show that a paradigm shift toward a holistic understanding can offer sustainable solutions to this climate crisis. The impact of the climate crisis is highly complex and widespread, leading to unstable weather patterns. These unstable weather patterns threaten agriculture, food security, and also result in more frequent and severe natural disasters. We need to explore the root causes of the current climate crisis, the impacts that have already occurred and may come, and the efforts that can be made by individuals, communities, and the international community to address such challenges. This research strongly highlights the importance of collective consciousness and moral responsibility in protecting the planet, while also inviting readers to reflect on their position within the broader web of life. Thru this approach, it is hoped that synergy between human development and environmental sustainability can be achieved.

This study examines the views of community and traditional leaders on the practice of giving alms derived from unusual sources of income in Mojopuro Village. The tradition of giving alms in Mojopuro has strong cultural roots and social values, reflecting a blend of Islamic teachings and local wisdom. However, historically, almsgiving has sometimes come from less than halal sources, such as gambling proceeds, which were once considered commonplace due to limited religious understanding. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method, using interviews with community and traditional leaders as key informants. The results show a significant shift in how the community interprets almsgiving. Religious leaders now emphasize the importance of halal sources of income and sincere intentions in giving, while traditional leaders emphasize social values such as mutual cooperation and caring for others. This transformation reflects a shift from traditional practices to a deeper religious understanding, without diminishing the values of togetherness that are characteristic of Mojopuro. Thus, the tradition of giving alms in Mojopuro is not only a form of worship but also a means of fostering morality and social solidarity that persists amidst changing times

This study is motivated by the increasing complexity of ethical challenges in public healthcare services in the modern era, characterized by rapid technological advancement, professional pressures, and shifting moral values. Within this context, Christian healthcare professionals face significant dilemmas in maintaining their faith-based ethical principles amid pragmatic service demands. This research aims to construct a Christian ethical framework on human dignity as a normative foundation for public healthcare practice. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method using a literature review approach, analyzing theological, philosophical, and social sources related to ethics, human dignity, and public service. The findings reveal that Christian ethics is rooted in the concept of Imago Dei, affirming that every human being possesses intrinsic dignity as created in the image of God. The principles of love (agape), justice, and moral responsibility serve as the core foundation for ethical healthcare practice. The implications of this study emphasize that healthcare services should not be merely technical but must also embody spiritual and humanistic values. Therefore, Christian healthcare professionals are called to act as moral agents who promote compassionate, dignified, and holistic care within the public healthcare system.

This study examines the construction of reality and violations of broadcasting ethics in the Xpose Uncensored Trans7 program in 2025 which displays a negative image of pesantren and kiai. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with the framing analysis of Pan and Kosicki's model, this study reveals the existence of tendentious narrative and visual manipulation, thus giving the impression of harassment of religious symbols. The broadcasts are considered to violate the principles of balance and social responsibility as stipulated in the Broadcasting Code of Conduct and Broadcast Program Standards (P3SPS). The public reaction that emerged through the hashtag #BoikotTRANS7 reflects the increasing public awareness of the importance of ethics in broadcasting practices. This phenomenon shows that the media not only functions as a conveyor of information, but also has a moral responsibility in shaping public opinion in a fair and balanced manner. This study emphasizes the urgency of increasing media literacy and ethical sensitivity in the production of broadcast content, especially those related to the representation of religious groups. Thus, the results of this study are expected to be a reference for broadcasting institutions, media regulators, and the public in encouraging more ethical and responsible broadcasting practices in the digital era.

This study examines Christian ethics in responding to the moral crisis of young people in the digital era. The development of social media, algorithmic culture, and the attention economy has shaped how young people construct identity, manage desire, build relationships, and make moral decisions. The central issue explored in this study is not merely digital misconduct, such as hoaxes, cyberbullying, pornography, self-display culture, and social media addiction, but the fracture of Christian self-awareness that separates faith from everyday digital practices. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method through library research and theological-ethical analysis. The data were analyzed through thematic reduction, categorization of digital moral issues, and interpretation based on Christian ethical principles. The findings show that the digital moral crisis must be understood as a problem of identity, desire formation, and character development. Therefore, this study constructs a model of digital Christian ethics consisting of digital moral literacy, digital character discipline, digital discipleship community, and digital witness. The implication is that families, churches, and Christian educational institutions must develop systematic, contextual, and transformative digital ethics formation.

One persistent challenge in Indonesian education is the insufficient internalization of character values among students, which can affect the overall quality of graduates. This study aims to explore the management of character education in enhancing graduate quality at Al-Ittihad Senior High School Cianjur and Ciranjang 1 Public Senior High School. The research adopts a qualitative approach using a multi-case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis to obtain a comprehensive understanding of character education practices in both institutions. The findings indicate that both schools emphasize the development of strong academic character and religious or moral awareness, although through different approaches. Al-Ittihad Senior High School integrates the national curriculum with Islamic boarding school values through boarding programs, structured worship routines, and daily religious habits. In contrast, Ciranjang 1 Public Senior High School implements character education based on its BIJAK’S vision, which is embedded in intracurricular and extracurricular activities as well as positive daily habits. Organizationally, Al-Ittihad involves close collaboration between the principal, teachers, and boarding school supervisors, while Ciranjang 1 relies more on a formal public school structure, with the vice principal for student affairs and supervising teachers playing key roles. Implementation at Al-Ittihad is centered on boarding school life, whereas Ciranjang 1 focuses on the BIJAK’S program emphasizing discipline, achievement, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Supervision and evaluation at Al-Ittihad are conducted intensively by teachers, dormitory supervisors, and parents, while Ciranjang 1 applies regular teacher meetings, program evaluations, and parental involvement to monitor character development.

This article offers a philosophical exploration of two classical concepts of self-control: zuhud in Islamic intellectual tradition and apatheia in Stoic philosophy, within the framework of modern character education. Using a qualitative library research approach, this study employs content analysis and philosophical hermeneutics to examine the works of key thinkers such as Al-Ghazali, Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah, Marcus Aurelius, and Epictetus. The findings indicate that zuhud emphasizes detachment from material desires through spiritual awareness and prioritization of divine values, while apatheia focuses on achieving inner peace and moral clarity by rationally managing emotions and eliminating unnecessary passions. Although rooted in different theological worldviews, both concepts converge in promoting a form of self-control that enhances inner freedom, ethical behavior, and self-discipline. This study argues that the integration of zuhud and apatheia can enrich contemporary character education by balancing rational moral reasoning with spiritual consciousness. The educational model proposed in this research emphasizes the importance of teaching students to reflect critically, regulate their emotions, and cultivate inner balance rooted in universal ethical values. Thus, the synthesis of both traditions contributes to the advancement of character education that is holistic, contemplative, and morally grounded.

This study examines the role of Pancasila as a source of values in national character education amid the challenges of globalization and digital disruption. Pancasila, as the ideology and foundation of the state, contains universal values derived from local wisdom and the nation's culture. However, the implementation of these values in formal education remains formalistic and does not sufficiently touch the internalization aspects of students. Through a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach with ideological and normative dimensions, this study involved teachers, students, and educational stakeholders in Central Java. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and document studies, with thematic analysis based on the principles of Pancasila and Islamic law principles. The study results indicate that Pancasila-based character education requires a pedagogical transformation that is contextual, participatory, and grounded in real-life experiences.Pancasila must be actualized as a way of life through adaptive educational practices, thereby forming a generation that is of integrity, responsible, and mature both morally and socially.

The contemporary digital era has triggered the normalization of pornography and promiscuous sexual behavior, which significantly threatens the theological understanding and sacramental practice of Catholic marriage among young adults. This article aims to examine, from a theological-juridical perspective, how canons 1055–1101 of the Code of Canon Law (CIC) serve as the authoritative foundation for the Church in safeguarding the dignity and validity of the sacrament of marriage. The method employed is a comprehensive literature study of the CIC, relevant magisterial documents of the Church, and contemporary scholarly works on the dynamics of young adult relationships. The concise findings indicate that exposure to and normalization of pornography directly weaken three fundamental aspects of Catholic marriage, namely the capacity to give free consent, the intention to practice permanent fidelity, and the correct understanding of the body’s meaning as a total self-gift. Nevertheless, the Church possesses solid canonical and pastoral instruments to address these challenges and facilitate restoration. In conclusion, a synergistic integration of canonical approaches, moral teachings, and pastoral guidance is required to assist young adult couples so that they may realize marriages that are not only canonically valid but also psychologically mature and sacramentally holy.

In an effort to understand the nature of existence and the purpose of education, humans continually ponder fundamental questions about reality, knowledge, and life's values. Philosophy appears as a light that illuminates the darkness of these questions, offering a profound and systematic framework for thought. However, from an Islamic perspective, this search for truth does not rely solely on reason but is harmoniously integrated with Divine revelation. Islamic ontology places God as the source of all reality, its epistemology unites reason and revelation in the pursuit of knowledge, while axiology guides all educational actions and goals toward the formation of pious and noble individuals. This symbiotic integration gives rise to a transformative educational paradigm that not only fosters intellectual intelligence but also humanizes and purifies the soul, thus producing a holistic generation that contributes to the well-being of humanity. This paradigm aligns Islamic education with global realities, prioritizing a balance between worldly and otherworldly knowledge, and emphasizing moral and spiritual development as integral parts of a more holistic and sustainable education.

This Community Service Program (PKM) was designed to strengthen national character and identity through the application of Asta Cita values among the residents of Rejuno Village, Karangjati District, Ngawi Regency, East Java. Conducted over two days, the program involved active participation from youth groups, community leaders, and village officials. The activities consisted of the introduction of national and civic values, interactive discussions with local figures, and group reflections aimed at formulating social commitments rooted in the Asta Cita principles. The findings show a notable increase in participants’ understanding and appreciation of the eight core values: patriotism, mutual cooperation, honesty, responsibility, hard work, discipline, tolerance, and social justice. Moreover, local wisdom and traditions—such as martial arts practices and community deliberations—were revitalized as effective tools for embedding these values within daily life. This program highlights that national character building does not solely rely on formal education or governmental initiatives but can also grow organically from community-based cultural practices. By integrating local heritage with national ideals, the PKM successfully promoted a sense of unity, civic awareness, and moral responsibility among the people of Rejuno Village, illustrating how local culture can serve as a strong foundation for fostering national identity and integrity.

This study examines the synergy between morality and professionalism as foundational components in shaping ethical behavior among civil servants in Palangka Raya City. The research is motivated by persistent ethical issues within local government bureaucracy, despite ongoing reform initiatives that emphasize integrity and accountability in public service. Using a quantitative explanatory survey design, data were collected from civil servants across several regional government institutions and analyzed through multiple linear regression to determine the influence of morality and professionalism on ethical behavior. The findings indicate that both variables significantly contribute to the formation of ethical conduct, with morality demonstrating a slightly stronger influence compared to professionalism, thereby confirming theoretical concepts which argue that ethical public administration requires both personal integrity and professional competence. These results highlight the importance of strengthening institutional ethics programs through character building, competency-based professionalism, and transparent supervisory mechanisms to ensure consistency of ethical behavior across administrative practices. The study also acknowledges methodological limitations related to the exclusive use of quantitative measures, suggesting that future research may integrate qualitative approaches to capture deeper subjective meanings of morality and professionalism within public sector settings.

Learning evaluation is an essential component of the Islamic education system as it serves to assess the achievement of learning objectives and measure students’ development. This study aims to examine the concept of learning evaluation according to the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam and its relevance in modern educational contexts. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study method, using sources from hadith collections, Islamic education books, and scientific journals. The findings reveal that the Prophet’s hadith provides a strong foundation for the implementation of learning evaluation based on three main domains: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Furthermore, the hadith emphasizes sincerity, justice, and exemplary behavior as essential principles in the evaluation process. The implementation of these values in modern education requires teachers to assess not only academic performance but also students’ moral and spiritual aspects. Thus, learning evaluation based on hadith serves as guidance for achieving a balanced education between knowledge, morality, and skills.

The development of science, technology, and the arts (IPTEKS) presents both challenges and opportunities, particularly for young Christians in the Faculty of Languages and Arts. This study explores the role of Christian faith in shaping how young Christians engage with IPTEKS, focusing on the integration of faith-based values in artistic creation, scientific application, and technological use. Using qualitative descriptive methods, the research involved interviews, observations, and documentation from Christian students in various art and education programs. The findings suggest that Christian faith provides a moral, ethical, and spiritual foundation for the responsible use of IPTEKS. In the arts, faith motivates students to create works that serve as ministry and testimony. In science, it encourages knowledge application for service and glorifying God. In technology, faith serves as a moral filter for the positive use of digital media. Key scriptures, including Proverbs 1:7, Colossians 3:23-24, and Romans 12:2, reinforce that IPTEKS should be utilized to honor God and serve others. This study highlights the need for faith development in academic settings, ensuring that young Christians engage with IPTEKS wisely, ethically, and in alignment with Christian values.
