This study aims to analyze the extent to which Sharia principles can stabilize the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) market through the framework of Islamic demand and supply theory. In conventional economic systems, price fluctuations and market instability are common challenges for MSMEs. In contrast, Islamic economics offers a value-based approach that emphasizes honesty, justice, the prohibition of exploitation, and the concept of fair pricing (tsaman al-mitsli). This research employs a library research method by reviewing primary and secondary sources, including scholarly journals, classical Islamic economic texts, and recent empirical studies. The findings indicate that implementing Sharia principles fosters market stability through the reinforcement of business ethics, transparent information, and the utilization of Islamic instruments such as zakat, infaq, and profit-sharing-based financing. Furthermore, the concept of barakah (blessing) in transactions strengthens consumer loyalty and business resilience. This study concludes that Sharia principles are not only normative but also practical and strategic in addressing the challenges of market instability in the MSME sector. However, this research is limited to theoretical analysis and lacks empirical field data; therefore, future research employing quantitative or case study approaches is strongly recommended.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the growth of digital payment systems has affected Indonesia's financial system and rupiah stability. More people are using digital payment methods like e-money, credit cards, debit cards, RTGS, and QRIS as a result of technical advancements. Additionally, Bank Indonesia still encourages the adoption of digital payment methods to speed up, secure, and streamline transactions. The Two Stage Least Squares (TSLS) method is used in this study's simultaneous regression model, which employs secondary data from 2020 to 2024. The findings indicate that while inflation has a positive but negligible impact on the exchange rate, the use of credit cards and RTGS has a considerable positive impact. In the meantime, debit cards and e-money significantly reduce inflation. Inflation is significantly reduced by QRIS and the exchange rate. In order to maintain Indonesia's economic stability, it is crucial to keep enhancing literacy and security when using digital payment methods.

The National Health Insurance (JKN) program, managed by BPJS Kesehatan, has formed strategic partnerships with micro and small enterprises (MSEs) to support the national healthcare service ecosystem. However, the accumulation of unsettled receivables from BPJS to its MSE partners has created significant challenges to the financial stability of this sector. Based on 2023 data, over 449,000 micro and small businesses were recorded as having outstanding receivables, with a total value exceeding IDR 2 trillion. This study adopts a descriptive quantitative approach to examine the impact of these receivables on the liquidity, solvency, and productivity of MSEs. The findings reveal that although most receivables are classified as “current,” payment delays continue to disrupt cash flow, reduce production capacity, and increase the risk of default. The analysis is grounded in the theoretical frameworks of receivables management, cash flow theory, institutional economics, and the strategic contribution of MSEs to national GDP. The results highlight the urgent need for payment system reform within BPJS, the provision of short-term financial facilities, and the implementation of delay compensation policies to ensure the sustainability of Indonesia’s micro and small enterprise sector.

Deforestation remains a critical challenge for sustainable development in Indonesia. This study evaluates the effectiveness of deforestation control policies in supporting the achievement of SDG Target 15.2 on sustainable forest management. Using a qualitative approach with the DPSIR (Drivers-Pressures-State-Impacts-Responses) analytical framework, the research examines policy documents, government reports, and deforestation datasets from Global Forest Watch. The results indicate that while policies such as the forest moratorium and the FOLU Net Sink 2030 commitment have successfully reduced deforestation in priority areas, their implementation continues to face complex challenges. Key findings reveal: (1) Economic incentive disparities between central and local governments drive forest exploitation for local revenue; (2) Weak multi-sectoral coordination between forestry policies and infrastructure development; (3) Limited community participation in decision-making processes; and (4) Real-time monitoring systems that are not yet integrated with rapid response mechanisms. The study recommends strengthening green incentives, enhancing collaborative governance, recognizing indigenous community rights, and optimizing monitoring technologies as strategies to accelerate SDG achievement. These findings make significant contributions to environmental policy literature by offering a holistic perspective on deforestation control challenges in developing countries.

The phenomenon of online ojek as part of the platform-based economy has grown rapidly, especially in Indonesia. This job is in high demand by youth as an alternative job that offers flexibility. However, behind the benefits offered, this profession also carries economic, social, and political risks. This article aims to examine the identity formation of youth working as online ojek drivers in the context of political-economic risks that arise in digital platforms, using Ulrich Beck's Risk Society Theory. In the risk society, uncertainty and dependence on systems controlled by digital platforms are the main factors that shape the social identity of the drivers. This research finds that the identity of online ojek youth is formed through interactions with digital platforms that prioritize efficiency and profitability, as well as with the risks they face every day in working under systemic uncertainty.

The European Green Deal is the European Union's strategy to reduce the impact of climate change and carry out major reforms in the agricultural sector. However, small and medium-sized farmers are suffering losses due to shift to more environmentally friendly agricultural system, stricter regulations, reduced subsidies, and restrictions on chemical fertilizers. In this journal, it can be seen how EGD policies create economic and social vulnerabilities that could threaten food security and the internal stability of the European Union. The methods used are a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis of the impact of green deal policies, which affect farmers and the general public. Data collection was conducted through a literature review of previous studies related to the impacts of the Green Deal. This journal discusses four key areas, the transformation of Green Deal policies, economic vulnerabilities faced by farmers, emerging social-political resistance, and implications for non-traditional security. The research indicates that while EGD policies aim to address climate threats, their implementation has led to non-security issues. A balance between climate and long-term food security is needed. To address social and economic changes at the domestic and regional levels, this study emphasizes the importance of inclusive and adaptive green transition policies.

This study discusses the limitations faced by young people in facing the dilemma of standardization of labor recruitment, with a case study on the implementation of the Job Fair held by the Manpower Office (Disnaker) in Bekasi. In an era of an increasingly competitive labor market, the recruitment process tends to refer to certain formal standards that do not always reflect the real potential of young job seekers, especially those from lower-middle economic backgrounds. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through field observations, in-depth interviews with job fair participants, and documentation of materials and selection mechanisms used by companies. The results of the study indicate that many young people experience obstacles in meeting administrative and technical standards, such as expertise certification, work experience, and foreign language-based communication skills, which are now dominant requirements in labor selection. The gap between the actual abilities of young people and the demands of the labor market indicates hidden social exclusion in the recruitment system. These findings also highlight the minimal role of the state in equipping young people with skills that are in accordance with industry needs. This study recommends that the government not only facilitate recruitment through job fairs, but also be active in building a vocational training system based on local needs and reformulating a selection mechanism that is more inclusive and fair for all levels of youth.

As the smallest unit of government in promoting local economic growth, the village plays a crucial role; therefore, the government encourages sustainable village development based on local advantages, community participation, and economic empowerment—one of which is the Desa Berdaya Program implemented in Mojokerto Regency. The Desa Berdaya Program promotes village self-reliance by developing human potential and strengthening the local economy. The program’s success depends on the synergy between government policies, individual/team performance, and active community involvement to achieve the goal of independent and sustainable village development. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Desa Berdaya Program in Mojokerto Regency by examining the alignment between the planned initiatives and actual conditions in the field, as well as identifying the challenges that influence the program’s effectiveness. This study utilizes a qualitative descriptive approach, gathering data through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The data were processed through stages of collection, reduction, organization, and interpretation to draw conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the performance of the Desa Berdaya Program in Mojokerto Regency can be considered successful, yet improvements are needed for 2025–2026. The program’s success is influenced by performance management factors (Armstrong), including individual, leadership, team, system, and situational/contextual elements. The inhibiting factor lies in the limited capacity and understanding of individuals regarding the Desa Berdaya Program. Meanwhile, the supporting factors include bureaucratic leadership and effective team performance, attributed to good communication among members.

The continuing economic inequality in Indonesia reflects the need for alternative approaches in macroeconomic policy. This study aims to analyze the integrative role of Islamic fiscal and monetary policies in realizing sustainable economic justice. The method used is a literature study of various relevant national and international scientific journals. The results show that Islamic fiscal policy through zakat and waqf instruments plays a role in wealth redistribution, while usury-free and real sector-oriented Islamic monetary policy maintains economic stability in an ethical manner. Compared to conventional economic systems, the Islamic approach offers a balance between spiritual values and economic effectiveness. The findings also show the importance of institutional synergy, public literacy, and integrated regulation to optimize the integration of the two policies. The implications of this research provide theoretical contributions for the development of Islamic economic models and offer strategic recommendations for the formulation of more equitable and inclusive public policies.

As an agricultural country, farmers in Indonesia have a crucial role, their existence must be safeguarded within the agricultural sector. Encouraging farmers to engage in breeding or develop new superior plant varieties is essential for fostering independent and advanced Indonesian farmers. These breeding activities are governed by Law Number 22 of 2019 on Sustainable Agricultural Cultivation System, and Law Number 29 of 2000 Plant Variety Protection. However, these laws have led to challenges for farmers involved in breeding, as the Plant Variety Protection Law adopts liberal approach that prioritizes individual economic benefits and specifically protects breeders who have registered their new varieties. As a result, farmers who use traditional knowledge in their breeding practices are vulnerable to criminalization due to the registration system. This paper will examine the rights of farmers in breeding activities under Indonesian law and compare with regulations in Malaysia, which shares geographical proximity, customs, and membership in the World Trade Organization. The research method is normative legal research, utilizing both conceptual and comparative approach. The objective to explore the legal protection of farmers’ rights in breeding activities in both Indonesia and Malaysia, and provide recommendations for improving the protection of farmers' rights in the future.

Taxes are the main fiscal instrument in modern states, serving various strategic functions such as budgeting, regulation, stability, and income redistribution. Taxes are not only a source of state revenue but also a tool to encourage economic growth and the equitable distribution of welfare. In the context of Islamic economics, taxes have a different position but are not fundamentally contradictory. Islam recognizes the concept of levies such as zakat, kharaj, jizyah, and ushr, which have similar objectives to modern taxes, namely for the welfare and social justice. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to analyze the alignment between the function of taxes in modern states and the principles of Islamic economics. Data were collected through a literature review from relevant academic sources. The research results show that although there are differences in mechanisms and characteristics, there is a common ground in the main goal, which is the welfare of society. Taxes can be accepted in Islamic economics as long as they are collected fairly, transparently, proportionally, and used for the public good. Further analysis indicates that the principles of maqashid sharia can serve as an important reference in modern tax reform to better align with Islamic values. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of integrating Islamic economic principles into the tax system to create social justice, fiscal efficiency, and sustainable development. This research is expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to the development of a tax system based on Sharia values in the contemporary era.

The management of national border areas is a strategic issue in the modern international system, directly linked to sovereignty, national security, and regional stability. This study aims to examine the role of international law in border management through a qualitative literature-based approach. Findings indicate that core principles of international law, such as uti possidetis juris, state sovereignty, and non-intervention, serve as the normative foundation for boundary formation, recognition, and dispute resolution. Current challenges such as illegal immigration, infiltration, and territorial claims demand the strengthened implementation of international law within national policy. Local government involvement and economic diplomacy also play vital roles in building adaptive and responsive border governance. In Indonesia’s case, land and maritime border dynamics highlight the need for a comprehensive strategy that integrates legal, diplomatic, and regional development aspects. This study underscores the importance of synergy among state actors to safeguard territorial integrity and foster sustainable cross-border cooperation.

Inequality in wealth distribution is a serious problem in the modern economic system. The gap between high and low income groups continues to widen, triggering various social problems. In the perspective of Islamic economics, zakat, infaq and waqf are present as instruments that not only have worship values, but also significant social and economic functions. This study aims to analyze the contribution of these three instruments in reducing the inequality of wealth distribution in society. Through descriptive qualitative approach and literature study, this research examines various literatures and secondary data obtained from zakat, infaq, and waqf management institutions in Indonesia. The results show that zakat, infaq, and waqf are able to act as effective wealth redistribution tools, improve the welfare of vulnerable groups, and strengthen social cohesion. These three instruments are proven to be a systemic solution in creating a more equitable economic balance. Therefore, accountable, professional, and trustworthy management is needed so that the socio-economic potential of zakat, infaq, and waqf can be optimized in supporting the creation of social justice according to Islamic teachings.

The National Strategic Projects (PSN) launched by the Indonesian government aim to accelerate development and drive national economic growth. However, in practice, many of these projects overlap with customary territories that lack formal legal certainty. This legal uncertainty gives rise to various problems, such as agrarian conflicts, criminalization of indigenous peoples, and the loss of living space and cultural identity of local communities. This study aims to analyze the forms of legal uncertainty experienced by indigenous peoples in the implementation of PSN and its impact on the protection of their collective rights. Additionally, this study explores the relevance of the principle of legal pluralism as a normative foundation for reforming national development policies to be more inclusive and ensure legal certainty for indigenous peoples. The approach used is normative qualitative with a literature study of regulations, court decisions, and reports from civil society organizations. The results of the analysis show that the legal imbalance between state law and customary law is the root cause of the marginalization of indigenous peoples in large-scale national development projects. The principle of legal pluralism, which recognizes the existence of customary law as a legitimate legal system, can be an alternative approach in formulating future development policies. The application of legal pluralism enables the state to build a development model based on social justice, participation, and respect for legal and cultural diversity. Thus, policy reform based on legal pluralism is an urgent necessity in addressing the challenges of structural justice for indigenous communities amid the tide of national development.

This research explores the significance of waqf (Islamic endowment) management in achieving sustainable development, emphasizing the legal and managerial obstacles that impede its optimal performance. Although waqf has historically played a vital role in areas such as education, healthcare, and poverty reduction, modern administration is challenged by disjointed legal systems, outdated policies, and inadequate governance structures. These issues contribute to inefficiency, a lack of transparency, and declining confidence among donors. Applying a qualitative library research method, the study systematically examines scholarly sources, legal texts, and institutional records to assess how legal reform and strategic governance can enhance waqf operations. The analysis highlights the importance of aligning Islamic legal principles with contemporary management approaches—such as performance planning, financial innovation, and clear accountability measures—to improve both impact and efficiency. Moreover, the study stresses the urgent need for legal restructuring and human capital development within waqf institutions to ensure long-term viability and professionalism. By overcoming legal and organizational shortcomings, waqf can be transformed into a dynamic and sustainable financial instrument that supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This research offers valuable academic and policy insights into creating effective, transparent, and Shariah-compliant waqf frameworks suited to modern socio-economic challenges.

This study analyzes the judicial reasoning in a cumulative family law case involving a wife’s petition for divorce and child custody due to her husband’s failure to provide financial support. Using a normative-empirical legal research method, the research focuses on case No. 5139/Pdt.G/2020/PA.Tgrs at the Tangerang Religious Court. The findings reveal that the court acknowledged economic neglect as a legitimate ground for divorce and upheld maternal custody for the underage child based on Article 105 of the Compilation of Islamic Law. The judge’s decision also reflected a balanced approach between formal legal provisions and Islamic ethical principles such as maslahah (public interest) and justice. This dual reasoning framework enhances both the legal legitimacy and moral authority of the religious courts. The research contributes to the discourse on integrated legal reasoning in pluralistic systems and highlights the importance of protecting women and children's rights in family law proceedings.
