Gunungsari Village, Windusari District, is one of the areas facing quite serious challenges in efforts to develop basic literacy in school-age children. The main problems faced are low interest in reading, limited access to adequate reading materials, and learning methods that are still conventional. These conditions have implications for many children who are not able to read and write fluently despite having received an elementary school education. In response to this situation, the community service team took the initiative to implement a literacy program that uses an interactive learning approach through the development of a literacy park. This program is not only designed to be a learning platform, but also to create a learning atmosphere that is fun, contextual, and involves the active participation of children. Various activities are implemented, including storytelling, the provision of a reading corner, educational games such as math games, vocabulary quizzes, and the provision of simple rewards to maintain high learning motivation. This program activities are carried out periodically with the involvement of the school, the surrounding community, and also the village government, so that its sustainability has the support of various parties. The results of the implementation show a significant increase in children's literacy skills. Not only are they reading more fluently, but they are also better able to comprehend story content and write simple ideas. Furthermore, the children appear more confident in expressing themselves, are more active in every learning activity, and are beginning to demonstrate positive reading habits. A culture of literacy is also slowly growing through the existence of child-friendly and inclusive literacy parks. This proves that a fun, community-based literacy approach is highly relevant in rural areas with limited resources and can be a simple yet impactful means of educational transformation for children's futures.

Personal financial management is an essential skill that needs to be instilled from adolescence to foster healthy and responsible financial behavior. Teenagers are often faced with situations where they must make decisions regarding money, but a lack of understanding and education about finances often leads to consumptive behavior, wastefulness, and a lack of ability to save. However, poor financial habits developed early on can carry over into adulthood and impact a person's future financial situation. Through a Community Service activity conducted by lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Wijaya Kusuma University, Surabaya (FEB UWKS) at SMA Negeri 2 Mojokerto, students were provided with education on accounting-based personal financial management. The material presented covered basic accounting principles, the importance of recording income and expenses, and how to prepare a personal financial budget. The activity methods included counseling, financial recording simulations, budget preparation, and interactive discussions, designed to encourage active participation and practical understanding. The results of the activity showed that students experienced a significant increase in understanding of the importance of financial literacy. They were also able to prepare a simple budget based on needs and priorities using a basic accounting approach. Thus, this activity is expected to make a real contribution to shaping the character, responsibility, and financial independence of the younger generation. Furthermore, similar activities can be extended to other schools to raise financial literacy awareness among students more broadly and sustainably. Furthermore, the involvement of teachers and school administrators in supporting this financial literacy program is also a crucial factor in maintaining students' desire to understand. With synergy between academics, schools, and students, financial education can become an integral part of the learning process, focusing not only on theory but also on practical application in everyday life.

This study examines disaster mitigation efforts in minimizing disaster risk in Manado City and identifies the key challenges as well as the strategies implemented by the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD: Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah). Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, direct observations, and document analysis, with the Head of BPBD serving as the primary informant. The analysis was conducted using Miles et al.’s (2014) interactive model, which consists of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, thereby ensuring systematic interpretation of findings. The results indicate that disaster mitigation efforts in Manado consist of both passive and active strategies. Passive measures include strengthening institutional frameworks, enhancing governance capacity, integrating disaster management planning into regional development programs, and advancing education and research to support long-term disaster risk reduction. In contrast, active mitigation emphasizes community-based actions, such as the installation of disaster warning signs, the provision of basic disaster training for officials and volunteers, the establishment of temporary evacuation shelters, and the implementation of both structural interventions (e.g., drainage construction, flood control) and non-structural measures (e.g., socialization, counseling, and public campaigns). Despite these initiatives, several challenges persist. Limited public awareness, inadequate infrastructure and facilities, a shortage of skilled human resources, weak planning and socialization, complex disaster causes, and environmental vulnerabilities all reduce the overall effectiveness of disaster risk reduction efforts. To address these obstacles, BPBD Manado fosters collaboration with various stakeholders, including government institutions, academia, non-governmental organizations, and local community groups. Moreover, the agency emphasizes the use of disaster risk assessments and hazard mapping as evidence-based foundations for policy formulation and implementation.

The low level of reading literacy in remote areas, such as the Muna Barat Daya Regency, poses a significant challenge in basic education. One innovation proposed to address this issue is the implementation of Scramble Fun Learning, an educational game-based approach designed to enhance reading literacy skills in students at SD Negeri 1Weet. This community service activity was carried out in two stages: a theoretical stage, which provided foundational understanding about the importance of literacy and gamification approaches, and a practical stage involving both teachers and fifth-grade students in word arrangement activities. Scramble Fun Learning combines game elements with a gamification approach by having students arrange words from random letters. The main objective is to train vocabulary recognition, strengthen reading comprehension, and increase student motivation to learn. In this activity, students are challenged to form words or sentences within a limited time, which not only stimulates their creativity but also makes the learning process more enjoyable and engaging. This method enables students to learn while playing, which is particularly effective in overcoming the boredom that often occurs in conventional learning. The results of this activity showed a significant improvement in student enthusiasm, active participation, and literacy skills. Many students who were previously disinterested in reading activities became more enthusiastic and motivated. Despite limitations in resources and time, the activity was still effectively implemented, thanks to creative adjustments made by the implementing team to ensure the material and activities were well received by both students and teachers. Overall, these findings indicate that Scramble Fun Learning is a highly potential and applicable approach to improving students' reading literacy, especially in areas with limited educational resources. This approach not only enhances literacy skills but also builds students' interest and motivation to continue learning.

Pesidi Village, located in Grabag Subdistrict, Magelang Regency, is a highland region with promising potential in agriculture and livestock, particularly sheep farming. However, one of the major challenges faced by local farmers is the limited availability of forage during the dry season, coupled with the low utilization of agricultural by-products such as rice straw. These constraints often hinder livestock productivity and pose risks to feed security. To address this issue, a community service program was conducted with the aim of introducing and demonstrating local-based feed processing technologies, including silage, ammoniation, and Urea Mineral Block (UMB) production. The activity was implemented in several stages: problem identification, socialization, education, training, and monitoring of farmer implementation. Through this participatory approach, farmers were given hands-on training and practical guidance on processing alternative feed sources to ensure the availability of nutritious and sustainable livestock feed. The results showed that farmers began adopting UMB as a feed supplement due to its practicality and visible benefits in maintaining livestock health and productivity. However, silage and ammoniation methods were not yet widely adopted, mainly due to limited experience, lack of supporting equipment, and the perception that the processes were relatively complex. Despite these challenges, the program succeeded in raising farmer awareness of the importance of feed diversification and the optimization of agricultural waste. The training provided valuable insights into how the integration of silage, ammoniation, and UMB can increase feed efficiency, reduce dependency on fresh forage, and support sustainable livestock management. The implementation of these three technologies holds significant potential to enhance sheep farming productivity in rural highland communities, while simultaneously strengthening food security and supporting environmentally friendly agricultural practices.

Pancasila, as Indonesia’s foundational ideology, plays a central role in guiding the nation’s democratic governance and shaping its human rights framework. Despite its normative strength and universal values, the implementation of Pancasila in protecting human rights remains challenged by selective interpretations, legal inconsistencies, and socio-political dynamics that often limit its transformative potential. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, systematically analyzing peer-reviewed Scopus-indexed publications from 2014–2025. The methodology integrates qualitative thematic synthesis and bibliometric mapping using VOSviewer, combining network, overlay, and density visualizations to capture both substantive content and the intellectual structure of the literature. The review identifies four major thematic dimensions: (1) humanity and social justice as core ethical values of Pancasila; (2) legal framework and reforms that seek to harmonize national laws with constitutional and international human rights principles; (3) challenges and critiques highlighting issues such as weak law enforcement, political intervention, and ideological contestation; and (4) educational and societal impacts, particularly the role of civic education and community-based initiatives in fostering rights awareness. Findings highlight that while Pancasila provides a robust ethical and legal foundation for human rights protection, its practical impact remains constrained by structural weaknesses, limited civic engagement, and inconsistent judicial practices. Bibliometric mapping reveals a growing scholarly interest in the areas of legal modernization, democratic governance, and the integration of human rights education within both formal and informal learning systems. This suggests that contemporary discourse is increasingly oriented toward reform and institutional strengthening. The study concludes that a synergistic application of Pancasila principles, comprehensive legal reform, and active civic participation is crucial for advancing human rights in Indonesia. Strengthening judicial independence, promoting inclusive legal frameworks, and enhancing civic education are key strategies to align Indonesia’s human rights practices with both its national values and international standards. Ultimately, this review contributes to scholarly discourse and policy development by providing a comprehensive synthesis of the intersection between ideology, democracy, and human rights in contemporary Indonesia.

Hypertension is a Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) whose prevalence continues to increase from year to year, especially in the elderly. This condition is a serious challenge in the field of public health because hypertension can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, and kidney failure if not properly managed. The high incidence of hypertension in the community, especially in Grujugan Hamlet, RT. 07–10, Bantul Village, has become a concern in community-based promotive and preventive efforts. Therefore, this community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of the elderly about hypertension through a direct screening and health education approach. The implementation method includes blood pressure checks (initial screening), counseling using educational media such as leaflets, posters, and interactive presentations, and evaluation of understanding through filling out pre- and post-tests. A total of 24 elderly people participated as respondents in this activity. The screening results showed that the majority of participants (62.5%) were in the Hypertension Level 2 category, while the other 8.3% were in the Hypertension Crisis category. Before the education, pre-test results showed that 58.3% of elderly people had low knowledge about hypertension. However, after the education, 75% experienced an increase to a high level of knowledge. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test showed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores (p < 0.001), indicating that the health education provided was effective in improving participants' understanding. This activity has had a positive impact on improving health literacy and can serve as the basis for developing sustainable, community-based, participatory hypertension prevention programs.

Amal Madani Indonesia (AMI) is a zakat philanthropic institution based in Cimahi, West Java, with a vision to empower communities through professional, transparent, and accountable management of zakat, infaq, and alms (ZIS) funds. As a zakat institution, AMI focuses not only on the collection and distribution of funds but also emphasizes the importance of good governance so that the collected funds can have a real impact on improving community welfare. This study aims to analyze AMI's contribution to improving community economic empowerment, evaluate the efficiency of zakat distribution, and examine the practice of Islamic philanthropic governance in the Cimahi region. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through field observations, documentation studies, and in-depth interviews with administrators and beneficiaries. The results show that AMI has a significant role in encouraging the socio-economic development of the surrounding community. The programs implemented are not only oriented towards distributing consumer assistance, but also focus on sustainable empowerment, for example through entrepreneurship training, mentoring micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), providing access to capital, and providing educational scholarships for children from underprivileged families. This strategy demonstrates that AMI is striving to shift the paradigm of zakat from merely a means of distributing welfare to an instrument for the economic development of the community. However, research also found several obstacles faced, including the program's distribution reach which is still limited to certain areas, limited human resources in managing empowerment programs, and low levels of zakat literacy among the community. The low understanding of some communities regarding the obligation of zakat has an impact on the potential for zakat collection that is not optimal. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve zakat education, optimize digital technology in collection and distribution, and strengthen collaboration with various parties, both government and the private sector.

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the factors that influence school leadership and management at SMP Negeri Satu Atap 01 Ciseeng. The background of this study is based on the low effectiveness of school management as indicated by the results of quality evaluations and the limited resources that are characteristic of schools in remote areas. The limitations include aspects of teaching staff, facilities and infrastructure, and low stakeholder involvement in decision-making. The study was conducted from May to June 2025 with a qualitative approach through a case study method. The research subjects included the principal, teachers, school committee, parents of students, and school supervisors. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out using the interactive model from Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of school leadership and management is strongly influenced by five main factors, namely: (1) the principal's leadership competence, (2) management of human and material resources, (3) the level of teacher participation in decision-making, (4) a collaborative organizational culture, and (5) strong external support from the school committee and parents. It was found that school principals play a dominant role in developing organizational culture and management strategies, but have not yet optimally engaged teachers and parents. Therefore, it is important to encourage more participatory leadership patterns and openness to cross-role collaboration. This study suggests the need for locally context-based leadership training and the development of policies that support remote school management. By strengthening synergy between stakeholders, it is hoped that school management in remote areas can be more effective and adaptive to the challenges they face.

The development of the sharia financial system is marked by the establishment of various sharia institutions and the issuance of various sharia-based financial instruments. One of the most prominent institutions is sharia banks, which not only serve as financial intermediaries that collect and distribute funds to the community but also provide various services, including pawning. Bank Syariah Indonesia is one of the leading banks offering a gold pawn product, which has been considered successful due to its continuous growth every year. Sharia gold pawn financing is a product that channels funds in the form of loans, based on the qard principle, where gold serves as collateral for the customer’s money. The process involves several stages that must be followed by both the bank and the customer. Bank Syariah Indonesia has managed to set relatively low rental fees for its gold pawn products compared to other financial institutions, making it an attractive option for customers in need of short-term financing. In this community service activity, the aim is to provide a detailed explanation of the mechanism behind the gold pawning product at Bank Syariah Indonesia. By doing so, the public is expected to become more familiar with the services, operations, and benefits offered by sharia banks, particularly in the context of gold pawn financing. This initiative aims to increase the understanding and awareness of the public about the advantages of using sharia-based financial products, as well as highlight the role of such services in supporting the financial needs of individuals while adhering to Islamic principles. Through this outreach, it is hoped that more people will consider utilizing these financial services, thus contributing to the broader development of sharia finance

This study aims to analyze and describe the regulation of furniture business permits in Alak District, Manutapen Village, Kupang City, within the framework of regional and national legal provisions. Business permits are a vital aspect of legality, providing legal certainty and protection for entrepreneurs. Despite this importance, many wooden furniture businesses continue to operate without official permits. Several factors contribute to this issue, including limited knowledge of regulatory requirements, inadequate access to facilities and administrative services, and the perception among entrepreneurs that small-scale businesses do not necessarily require permits. This research adopts an empirical approach, employing semi-structured interviews with local furniture business owners who have not yet obtained permits. The findings reveal that although the government has made efforts to disseminate information and promote the importance of business permits, these initiatives have not been fully effective. Many entrepreneurs remain unaware of the legal obligations and the potential benefits that permits can provide, such as protection against legal disputes and opportunities for broader business development. The study further identifies both positive and negative impacts of the furniture industry in the local community. On the positive side, furniture businesses significantly contribute to household income, create new job opportunities, and foster creativity through innovative craftsmanship. On the negative side, they also cause environmental issues such as waste and pollution, reduce agricultural land due to the expansion of workshops, and influence lifestyle changes within the community. Based on these findings, the study concludes that the government must strengthen its role by enhancing outreach and education programs, simplifying the permit application process, and providing better support services to entrepreneurs. Additionally, active participation from business owners is crucial to ensure compliance with legal frameworks and to achieve a sustainable balance between economic growth, social welfare, and environmental preservation.

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of declining compliance levels of motor vehicle taxpayers in Kediri Regency in the last five years, despite the provision of various modernization services. Motor vehicle tax itself is one of the main sources of regional revenue that is very important in supporting development and financing public services. This study aims to determine the effect of income levels, taxpayer awareness, and modernization of the tax administration system on motor vehicle taxpayer compliance in Kediri Regency in 2024. The research method used is quantitative with a causality approach. The population in this study were all motor vehicle taxpayers in Kediri Regency, with a sample of 100 respondents selected using probability sampling methods and simple random sampling techniques. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with the help of the IBM SPSS Statistics program version 30. The results of the study indicate that partially, the variables of income level and taxpayer awareness have a significant effect on motor vehicle taxpayer compliance, while the modernization of the tax administration system has no significant effect. However, simultaneously, all three variables have a significant effect on motor vehicle taxpayer compliance. These findings demonstrate the importance of increasing awareness and community economic empowerment in encouraging tax compliance. Based on these findings, it is recommended that local governments and relevant agencies improve tax education and maximize the use of modern tax services to encourage higher public compliance. Furthermore, the results of this study indicate that despite the implementation of modernized tax administration systems, non-technical factors such as income level and taxpayer awareness still have a greater influence on motor vehicle taxpayer compliance. This suggests that improved technology and administrative systems alone are not sufficient to significantly improve tax compliance.

Pesantren, as an Islamic educational institution that has long been a center of religious learning and character development, has great potential in advancing entrepreneurship based on local wisdom. The role of pesantren is not only limited to teaching religious studies, but also includes coaching students to have economic independence and competitiveness in the midst of the Times. Local wisdom that grows around pesantren can be an important capital in developing businesses that are relevant to the needs of the community. However, optimizing the function of pesantren in producing students who are independent and able to compete still faces various challenges. One of the main obstacles is the development of Human Resources (HR) which is not only oriented to mastering the theory, but also on practical skills and understanding of local values. Without the right strategy, such great potential is difficult to realize sustainably. This study aims to explore strategies that can be applied in the development of human resources in order to improve the performance of local wisdom-based entrepreneurship in the boarding school. The research method used is a qualitative approach with case studies on several boarding schools that have succeeded in forming productive business units by utilizing local potential, such as agriculture, fisheries, crafts, and food product processing. Research findings indicate that several crucial factors in building entrepreneurial human resources in pesantren include: strengthening character and work ethic, hands-on practice-based training in the field, collaboration with local business actors for knowledge transfer and market networking, as well as historical and philosophical understanding of local wisdom values. The success of entrepreneurship development in pesantren depends on the integration of spiritual aspects, practical skills, and knowledge about the potential of the region. Based on the results of the study, an integrated entrepreneurship training model that combines science, faith, and concrete action is recommended. This Model is expected to produce great pesantren entrepreneurs, competitive, and able to adapt and face global challenges without leaving their identity and noble values.

This study aims to analyze the influence of domestic wastewater management and space utilization control on pests in river-equivalent areas in Lalat Regency. The main problem raised is the low effectiveness of environmental management in the corresponding area due to the increase in domestic activities and its weakness in spatial planning. The approach used is quantitative with multiple linear regression methods. Primary data were obtained through questionnaires to 200 respondents, and secondary data were obtained through documentation studies and field observations. The results of the analysis showed that simultaneously, the five independent variables (environmental management, space availability, community participation, government supervision, and environmental infrastructure) had a significant effect on the habitat in the corresponding area (p = 0.046). Partially, only waste management (p = 0.016) and community participation (p = 0.042) had a significant effect. A determination coefficient (R²) value of 7.5% indicates that the desires of a region are also influenced by other external factors. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the need to improve the household waste management system through the construction of communal WWTP and improve the quality of household septic tanks, as well as community empowerment through the establishment of environmental forums and sustainable sanitation education to support spatial control and poverty in commensurate areas.
