The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of corporate governance mechanism on financial performance in thebanking sector. The independent variables consist of institutional ownership, management ownership, independent boarddirector, board of directors and audit committee. Bank performance is measured by Return On Equity (ROE). Thepopulation in this study is the bank listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the period 2011-2013. This study datacome from bank annual reports obtained from the Indonesian Stock Exchange website and Indonesian Capital MarketDirectory (ICMD). By purposive sampling method, this research got28 samples in each period, so 84 (28 sample × 3years) annual report will be used in this research. The analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is multiple regressionwith SPSS 16.The results show that the board of directors have a positive effect to the bank performance. Iinstitutionalownership has a negative effect to bank performance. The development of the capital market in Indonesia is very rapidly.This is an indicator that the capital market is an alternative source offunding in addition to banking, in addition to the growing capital marketsalso showed that the confidence of investors will invest in Indonesia capitalmarket is quite good. The information required by the investors in the capitalmarkets is not only a fundamental information, but also information that istechnical in nature. The fundamental nature of the information obtainedfrom the financial reports of companies, and the technical nature of theinformation obtained from outside companies such as inflation, interest ratesand other factors.The samples of this research are company manufacturing food andbeverage sector in 2008-2012 by using 16 companies with purposivesampling method. The results of the research with multiple linear regressionshowed that the CR, DER, TAT, ROA, PER and interest rate do not haveeffect on stock return. While inflation has a negative significant effect onstock returns.

Promosi merupakan salah satu bagian dari rangkaian kegiatan pemasaran suatu produk. Promosi adalah suatu kegiatan bidang marketing yang merupakan komunikasi yang dilaksanakan perusahaan kepada konsumen yang memuat pemberitaan, membujuk, dan mempengaruhi segala sesuatu mengenai barang maupun jasa yang dihasilkan untuk konsumen, segala kegiatan itu bertujuan untuk meningkatkan volume penjualan dengan menarik minat konsumen dalam mengambil keputusan membeli atau menggunakan produk di perusahaan atau instansi tersebut.Seperti halnya di Universitas Stikubank (UNISBANK) Semarang yang perlu memasarkan produk produknya kepada masyarakat umum khususnya para siswa SMA/SMK/MA yaitu produk di bidang pendidikan tinggi. Dalam hal ini merupakan tanggung jawab dari bagian promosi dan marketing yang merupakan ujung tanduk dari sebuah organisasi ataupun lembaga dalam hal sosialisasi, pemasaran dan hubungan dengan masyarakat calon konsumen. Lebih spesifik salah satu kegiatan bagian promosi dan marketing UNISBANK adalah melakukan promosi dan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat dan pelajar yang akan melanjutkan sekolah ke pendidikan tinggi. Dengan semakin banyaknya agenda kegiatan promosi yang dilakukan untuk penerimaan mahasiswa baru berupa kegiatan motivasi, pameran pendidikan, pengajuan proposal negosiasi dan sosialisasi ke sekolah sekolah maka diperlukan sistem pengagendaan kegiatan yang dapat mempermudah bagian promosi dan marketing untuk melaksanakan tugasnya.Hasil dari Sistem Informasi Rancang Bangun E-Office Administrasi Agenda Kegiatan Promosi UNISBANK Semarang yang dibuat dapat membantu mempercepat proses administrasi pengarsipan dalam hal penyimpanan data, pencarian data, pembenahan data dan rekapitulasi data. Selain itu, sistem ini memberikan dampak pelaksanaan proses verifikasi dapat dilakukan oleh ketua promosi tanpa harus melakukan verifikasi di dalam ruangan promosi dan ketua promosi akan lebih mudah melakukan kontrol kegiatan yang seudah terlaksana dan belum terlaksana secara real time.

The objective of this paper is to discourse critical paradigm to respond economic globalization, especially in higher education liberalization.  Higher Education liberalization is employed by World Trade Organization (WTO), firstly  is introduced concept of higher education corporatization. Corporatization is one of implementation strategy of New Public Management (NPM) in public sector.  This paper based on results of case study in one of Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Badan Layanan Umum (PTN BLU). PTN BLU is an example of NMP implementation. NPM is campaigned by International Institution such as World Bank (WB) and Internationally Monetary Fund (IMF). WB, IMF, and WTO use accounting as  a surveillance system. In  Habermas’s Critical Theory perspective,  higher education corporatization is lifeworld moneterization, with accounting as steering media. The effects of that are social pathologies, they are loss of meaning, anomie, and psychopathology. Loss of  meaning in higher education as a knowledge development institution, that dedicate to humanism has transform a corporate, that produce knowledge based economy (KBE) according to market demand.  Losses of academician identities, psychological disease are other examples of social pathologies. Financial literacy is one of the needs for everyone in order to manage their personal finance.Person's ability to read, analyze, manage financial condition in making financial decisions can be made ​​to avoid financial problems. This study aims to determine whether factors such as gender, faculty, and grade point average (GPA) effect on student financial literacy. This research surveys 333 college students of Economics and Business Faculty also Science and Mathematics Faculty of Satya Wacana Christian University (UKSW) to examine their personal financial literacy based on gender, faculty and Grade Point Average (GPA).Binary logistic used to analyze the data.Results of this study indicate that financial literacy is influenced by faculty, whereas gender and GPA does not affect financial literacy. This study is expected to support the science of personal finance is still relatively rare compared to research in the field of corporate finance and capital markets.. This study aims to analyze the influence of Internet FinancialReporting (IFR) , Level Disclosure and Timeliness (Timelines)Submission of Financial Information Website On The Stock Market.Sample in this study consisted of 70 companies listed in the JakartaIslamic Index (JII) from 2008-2012. Data analysis uses multipleregression analysis.The results of hypothesis testing showed that theIFR has a significant influence on the abnormal stock returns, thelevel of disclosure has negative effect on abnormal stock returns andtimeliness has no significant effect on abnormal stock returns.

Developments in this eraof globalization impact to human life. Based on these conditions, affect theappearance of many engaged in the retail trade of daily consumer goods invarious cities in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the effect of Display,Positive Emotion and Store Atmosphere toImpulse Buying.This study used accidental sampling method on the visitor AlfamartCitarum Raya Semarang. Data obtained by distributing 100 questionnairesto the visitors Alfamart Citarum Raya Semarang. The independent variablein this study is the Display of Positive Emotion and Atmosphere Store whilethe dependent variableis the Impulse Buying. The statistical methods used inthis study is the Multiple Linear Regression AnalysisThe results oft his study indicate that the variable Display and PositiveEmotion there is a significant effect on Impulse Buiyng. As for theAtmosphere Store variables showed no significant effect on Impulse Buying.The results of this study also showed that the value of R Square of 21.6%while the remaining 78.4% is explained by other variables that are notproposed in this study.

Kebanyakan UKM memiliki permasalahan permodalan dan pemasaran, hal ini yang juga dialami oleh UKM di Kabupaten Kendal terutama usaha Batik dan usaha Tas yang menjadi sentra dengan jumlah UKM terbanyak. Usaha tersebut sulit memasarkan secara mandiri dengan brand sendiri, tergantung pada tengkulak dan broker yang membeli atau melakukan order tersebut dengan merk pemesan.  Padahal kedua produk tersebut menjadi produk unggulan dan bahkan menjadi percontohan usaha mikro daerah skala nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan solusi pemasaran online (e-marketing) dengan model cyber-link antar pemilik usaha yang ada dengan komunitas yang dibentuk untuk mendukung pemasaran online, sehingga ketika pengguna internet mencari produk tersebut selalu mudah ditemui di internet dan selalu berada pada halaman pertama dan menjadi ranking teratas (To range). Manfaatnya adalah agar produk yang dipasarkan online mudah ditemukan, dan menjadi prioritas untuk diakses oleh pengguna internet, hal tersebut merupakan strategi pemasaran untuk memudahkan mendapatkan pelanggan.   Kata Kunci : UKM, pemasaran online, cyber-link

Foreign Direct Investment flows to developing countries surged in the 1990s, to become their leading source of external financing. This raises in FDI volume make government must be generate domestic policies to push FDI inflows. The first step is identification macroeconomic determinants of FDI inflows.Globerman and Shapiro (2005) suggest the macroecomic variables, such as, market size, resources, and financial sector, may be associated with FDI inflows, especially in developingcountries. The problem is how far the macroeconomic variable can push FDI inflows, in condition, imperfect economic liberalisation.This study proofs that market size, included, domestic economy (GDP) and extention of domestic economy (Openness) significantly push FDI inflow. But debt variable, despite of associated with government policy, significantly impeded FDI inflows.Key words: Foreign Direct Investment, Market Size, and Financial Sector.

The purpose of this research is to analysis the influence of Camel (CAR,PPAP,DER,BOPO,LDR) toward Performance of Banking Companies  in Indonesia This research use secondary data, with the source of data from Bank Indonesia and Indonesia Capital Market Directory publication. Technical sampling used purposive sampling and total sample is 85 firm with the 86 observation sample. The analysis use regression least square –OLS. The result of Capital Adequacy Ratio/CAR and Loan to Deposit Ratio are significant positive influence to the Return On Asset/ROA, but PPAP have positive and not significant influence to Return On Asset, Debt to Equity Ratio/DER have positive significant to Return On Asset , BOPO have positive and not significant to Return On Asset. Umumnya penelaahan kompetensi lulusan dilihat dari tempat kerja mereka saat ini atau dengan cara menelusuri dari angket-angket yang diisikan oleh alumni pada periode tertentu. Hal tersebut juga dapat dilakukan melalui temu alumni maupun melalui pusat informasi alumni pada tiap perguruan tinggi. Lalu bagaimana jika kompetensi tersebut dikaji pada saat sebelum mahasiswa lulus, dengan mengkaji dari nilai akademik yang telah diperoleh ? Dengan menggunakan teknik data mining khususnya metode asosiasi dengan algoritma apriori dapat digali suatu informasi dengan tingkat kepercayaan(min.confidence) suatu transaksi dengan tingkat dukungan(min. support) tertentu sehingga menghasilkan suatu aturan. Setiap matakuliah dalam sebuah kurikulum memiliki  muatan kompetensi tertentu dan sebuah kompetensi dapat disumbang oleh beberapa matakuliah.Dengan mengelompokkan nilai akademik mahasiswa ke dalam suatu kompetensi dan mengambil nilai rata-ratanya maka akan dapat diperoleh suatu peta kompetensi dengan menentukan pada tingkat rata-rata tertentu. Pencapaian kompetensi pada level minimum support 70% dan minimum confidence 75%  pada studi kasus yang dilakukan adalah pada 3 kompetensi. Yaitu Sistem Informasi (IS), System Integration (SI) dan Network and Communication (NC). Artinya bahwa sebanyak 70% calon lulusan program studi S1 Sistem Informasi tahun angkatan 2004 s/d 2007 mempunyai kompetensi yang lebih dibidang system informasi, integrasi system dan jaringan dan komunikasi dibandingkan dengan kompetensi lainnya. Selanjutnya tidak menutup kemungkinan penggunaan teknik, metode maupun algoritma yang lain dan memberikan suatu hasil yang berbeda. Penelitian ini masih dapat dikembangkan lebih jauh.Kata Kunci : Kompetensi, Data Mining, Asosiasi, Apriori

The aims of this study is to analyze the impact of the variables free cash flow, Profitability,Growth, Tangibility, Retained Earning and Managerial Ownership on debt. Research usingpurposive sampling method for taking samples. Data obtained on the basis of the publication ofIndonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD), Samples of this research is manufacturing firmwhich listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange during 2007-2011. This research obtained 135 samplesof manufacturing firms. Analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis. Based on the teststatistic F indicates that the model is fit because has a significance value less than 5% of Alphavalue. The Result of analisys show that the four independent variables have significant influenceto DER and other independence variables have no significant influence to DER. Profitability hassignificant positive influence toward debt, growth has significant negative influence toward debt,tangibility has significant positive influence toward debt, retained earning has significant negativeinfluence toward debt, but free cash flow and managerial ownership have no significant influencetoward debt.Key Words :Determinant, Agency Theory, Pecking Order Theory, Debt Policy,

Salesperson plays an important role for the survival of the company. The roleof salespeople in the Multi Level Marketing company is a distributor, which will promoteproducts and business plan. Distributor is very important because of the high competition between companies who also want to increase product sales. The key of success in MLM companies depends on how the company is able to improve the performance of distributors.Problem of this research is how the characteristic Distributors, companies support and organization learning affect the performance of MLM distributors. Sampling technique used was purposive sampling method that used as many as 50 people Tianshi distributors in Semarang.The results of data analysis showed that there is significant influence between the characteristic distributors, companies support and Organization Learning to the performance MLM distributor.

This study analyzes the effect of receive, tariffs and quality perceptions of the learning process and service to increase interest. The formulation of the questions examined in this study were 1). What impact will influence the perception of market acceptance for graduates of interest in selecting majors AN? 2). What impact do perceptions influence the rates of interest specified AN AN chose? and 3). What impact will influence the perception of the quality of the learning process and service in the AN of interests to choose majors AN? Furthermore, variables and indicators of research is also based on previous research.A model has been developed and three hypotheses have been formulated to address this research problem. The sampling technique was purposive sampling and quota sampling. Respondents from this study amounted to 100 respondents, where respondents were students of the Department AN Semarang State Polytechnic. Data analysis tool used is Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) in AMOS 16.0.The results of this study data analysis shows the model and research results were well received, and further research is proving the influence of perception on the market acceptance of graduates AN interest in the Department of the AN is positive an  significant. Effect of tariff AN Perception of interest in the Department of the AN is not significant. Then the influence of the effectiveness of advertising on consumer buying behavior is positive and significant. And the influence of the learning process and service quality in the AN of interest in the Department is positive and significant.
