The policy proposal by the West Java Provincial Government to introduce mandatory military training for problematic students has sparked public debate concerning its legality, effectiveness, and the state’s approach to addressing juvenile delinquency. This paper analyzes the policy from a legal perspective, particularly in relation to human rights law and the principles embedded in the national education system. Using a normative juridical method with a conceptual and statutory approach, the study finds that the policy potentially violates children's rights, as well as the principles of non-discrimination and fairness in education. Moreover, the coercive approach through military training is deemed incompatible with the spirit of character development, which should be humanistic and participatory. The paper recommends that interventions for problematic students should focus on value-based education, counseling, and empowerment, rather than militarization. Public policy should ensure the protection of children's rights while upholding the principles of proportionality and appropriateness in disciplinary measures.

Multiculturalism presents a significant challenge to contemporary social development, particularly in Indonesia, a nation characterized by its vast ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity. Multicultural Islamic education is viewed as a strategic solution to fostering social harmony and mitigating potential conflicts based on ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup relations (SARA). This study employs a qualitative approach using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA framework to analyze various references related to the implementation of multicultural Islamic education values in schools. The findings indicate that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a crucial role in instilling values of tolerance, respect for diversity, and democratic attitudes among students. However, the implementation faces several challenges, including a lack of parental support, limited learning media, and insufficient time allocation for promoting multicultural values. Therefore, effective strategies are needed, such as integrating Islamic concepts into multicultural education, strengthening an inclusivity-based curriculum, and enhancing teachers' capacity to deliver diversity-respecting instruction. The findings highlight the strategic role of Islamic religious education in preventing radicalism and promoting national unity through inclusive multicultural education

The development of vocational education requires Vocational High Schools (SMK) to align their competencies with student interests and industry needs. However, a mismatch between student interests and the competencies offered can result in low enrollment, requiring schools to consider closing certain programs. This study proposes the application of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) as a predictive method to determine the potential closure of vocational competencies based on an analysis of student interest patterns. The data used includes interest history, academic grades, and other preference indicators, which are then subjected to a preprocessing stage to ensure the quality of the model’s input. The ANN is trained to accurately recognize interest patterns, thus generating objective and adaptive decision-making recommendations. This study aims to identify challenges and formulate strategies for the implementation of professional competencies of Christian Religious Education (PAK) teachers based on artificial intelligence (AI) at the primary school level, with a focus on SD Negeri 071162 Esiwa. The background of this study begins with the increasing demands of the digital curriculum, while PAK teachers still face limitations in technological literacy, digital infrastructure, and the availability of contextualized Christian faith-based learning media. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, classroom observations, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of one principal and ten students in grades IV-VI. The results showed that low mastery of technology by teachers, limited digital devices, and lack of institutional support are the main obstacles in the integration of AI in PAK learning. However, AI has great potential to enhance students' learning experience spiritually and digitally through interactive, visual, and narrative Bible-based approaches. This research recommends spiritual technology-based teacher training, strengthening school infrastructure, developing contextualized teaching materials based on local culture, and collaboration between schools, churches, and Christian app developers. The findings contribute to the development of an adaptive, contextual, and transpersonal PAK learning model.

Final year students often experience difficulties in adapting to career and life demands, as well as maintaining their well-being. This study aims to examine the influence of social support and self-efficacy on life satisfaction and career adaptability among final-year students. Quantitative data were collected from 155 students in their final year of study and analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The results showed that social support did not affect the career adaptability of final-year students. Conversely, self-efficacy had a positive effect on career adaptability. Social support was found to have a positive impact on students' life satisfaction. Students who received social support from family, friends, and educational institutions tended to have higher levels of life satisfaction. Self-efficacy also positively affected life satisfaction, indicating that high self-confidence enhances individual well-being. However, life satisfaction did not significantly influence career adaptability, suggesting that other factors such as work experience and environmental support play a more significant role. This study has several limitations, including a limited sample size and potential respondent bias. Future research should involve larger and more diverse samples and employ a variety of data collection methods. Educational institutions are encouraged to develop programs that enhance self-efficacy and social support to help students reach their full potential in their careers and personal lives.

This study discusses the conflict between Government Regulation Number 28 of 2024 concerning the provision of contraceptives for students with the principles contained in the Child Marriage Law and the National Education System in Indonesia. Although this policy aims to prevent early pregnancy and transmission of sexually transmitted diseases, the provision of contraceptives for students raises concerns because it is considered to legitimize sexual activity among adolescents. This is compared to child protection efforts as stated in the Marriage Law which stipulates the minimum age of marriage and moral values in education. This study uses a normative legal approach to analyze the implications of the policy on children's rights, the education system, and social and cultural values. The results of the study indicate that this policy has the potential to violate the goals of national education and child protection. Therefore, a more balanced policy revision is needed, by integrating comprehensive sex education based on moral values, in order to protect children's rights while providing appropriate education for adolescents.
