This study aims to describe the relationship between age, education, and occupation with the participation of Couples of Reproductive Age (PUS) in the Family Planning (KB) program in Desa Gandu, Majalengka. The study design used is a descriptive observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample of this study consisted of 440 PUS recorded in the village administration and Puskesmas between January and June 2025. The results of the study showed that older age (25-34 years), lower education, and the occupation of housewives (IRT) were associated with higher participation in the KB program. Most respondents with low education (SD and SMP) showed high participation in the KB program, while those with higher education showed lower participation. These findings indicate the importance of a community-based approach that involves housewives (IRT), as well as the need to improve KB counseling programs for higher-educated groups and formal workers. This study suggests that KB programs in Desa Gandu should focus more on the younger age group, formal workers, and those with higher education who still have lower participation rates.

This study investigates the implementation of the food security program and the establishment of independent economic pillars in Patempuran Village, Kalisat, Jember, by focusing on the central role of the Patempuran Sejahtera Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes). Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, this study explores the strategies, achievements, and challenges of program implementation in integrating two of the village's main agricultural potentials: soybean cultivation and livestock. The core finding is the formation of an Integrative Management Model in which the BUMDes acts as the primary institutional driver, synergizing the soybean and livestock sectors. The BUMDes successfully fulfills its dual function: as an economic institution (generating a net profit of approximately IDR 9 million from 1.8 hectares of soybean cultivation) and as a social institution empowering the community through job creation and additional income. This success is closely linked to the high level of active community participation, in line with Stakeholder Theory in strengthening legitimacy and a sense of shared ownership. However, implementation faces significant challenges, including irrigation constraints in hilly areas, livestock health risks, and a manual financial recording system (based on a simple Excel spreadsheet), which limits managerial capacity and full accountability. This study recommends immediate modernization of the accounting system, strategic investment in irrigation infrastructure, and strengthening intensive technical assistance to ensure long-term sustainability and equitable partner productivity.

Bridge planning is a fundamental aspect in the development of transportation infrastructure that functions to connect regions, facilitate traffic flow, and support economic and social growth in the community. This study aims to comprehensively examine the stages of bridge planning, from identifying traffic needs and analyzing geotechnical conditions to selecting a structure type, and evaluating technical, economic, and environmental aspects. The methods used include field surveys, traffic data collection, design load analysis, and structural simulation using modeling software. The study results indicate that bridge type selection is not only determined by load capacity and cost efficiency, but must also consider sustainability, aesthetics, and the impact on the surrounding ecosystem. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating technical, social, and environmental aspects in bridge planning, so that the resulting design can provide a safe, efficient, and sustainable solution. Thus, bridge planning is not merely a technical process, but also a development strategy that supports connectivity and community welfare.

This community service program was implemented to address the problem of the low quality of students' Quran reading at TPQ Al-Litfilah Nur, Situhiang Village, which was caused by the lack of implementation of a structured and sustainable tahsin learning method. This activity aims to improve students' Quran reading skills through training and mentoring using the Tilawati method combined with the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, so that the potential and resources of the community can be optimized. The program was implemented in stages, including mapping the initial conditions of students' and teachers' abilities, training TPQ teachers on the principles and techniques of the Tilawati method, mentoring the learning process in a classical and individual manner, and evaluating the development of students' reading skills. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the accuracy of makhraj, the application of basic tajwid, and the fluency of students' Quran reading. In addition, TPQ teachers experienced an increase in pedagogical competence and were able to apply the Tilawati method independently in teaching and learning activities. These findings indicate that strengthening community assets through targeted and participatory training can create meaningful and sustainable changes in improving the quality of Qur'an learning at the TPQ level.

The main problem in empowering fish farming communities in Dawuhan Village, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency is how to empower communities through the Peti Koin Bermantra Program in Dawuhan Village, Malang Regency, such as low managerial capacity, weather constraints, high feed prices, and limited market access, which have an impact on the suboptimal economic improvement of the community. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Peti Koin Bermantra Program in empowering fish farming communities to improve their economic welfare. The study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, as well as the community empowerment theory of Hashemi, Schuler, and Riley (1996). The results show that the Peti Koin Bermantra Program contributes positively to improving community welfare through eight empowerment indicators, such as increased mobility, small-scale purchasing power, ability to make larger purchases, involvement in major decisions, freedom, political and legal awareness, participation in public protests and political campaigns, economic security, and contribution to family support. The success of the program was supported by collaboration between facilitators, the East Java Provincial Marine and Fisheries Service, and the Malang Regency Fisheries Service, although there were still obstacles in terms of capital, group management, and product innovation. To support the sustainability of the program,

The purpose of this study is to find out how the implementation of accountability and transparency in the management of the Village Budget (APBDesa) in Sintuwulemba Village, Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, is carried out. The researcher used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews as the research method. Data were obtained by conducting interviews with three key informants consisting of the village secretary, the village treasurer, and the Village Consultative Body. The research findings indicate that the Sintuwulemba village government has applied the principle of accountability in the management of village funds. This is evident from the planning, implementation, administration, and accountability processes that are open, involving the community in every process. In terms of transparency, the Sintuwulemba village government has applied the principle of transparency where every village development policy and the use of village finances always go through the village deliberation stage. These two principals have made Sintuwulemba Village one of the successful villages in implementing village development and good village fund management in Poso Regency. These steps are also those that need to be emulated by other villages in Poso Regency and its surroundings.

Micro-Hydro Power Plant (MHPP) is a renewable energy solution suitable for remote rural areas with river flow availability. This study was carried out in Kampung 17, Batulawang Village, West Java, through the Community Service Program of HMM ITPLN, by designing and implementing a simplified MHPP system. The analysis indicates a hydraulic power potential of 1.511 kW with an effective head of 3.08 m and a discharge of 0.005 m³/s. Of this potential, the maximum utilized power reached 1.108 kW, equivalent to 73.32% of hydraulic energy utilization. The system is capable of producing approximately 26.6 kWh per day or around 798 kWh per month, matching the total demand of 12 households and one mosque in Kampung 17. If this demand were supplied by the national grid (PLN) under the R-1/TR 1300 VA category at Rp1,444.70 per kWh, the monthly cost would amount to approximately Rp1,152,870. Hence, the MHPP enables annual savings of around Rp13.8 million while ensuring local energy independence

This study aims to analyze the influence of fertilizer prices and selling prices on the sustainability of apple farming, with apple quality serving as a mediating variable. The research was conducted in Andonosari Village, Tutur District, Pasuruan Regency, which is one of the main apple-producing areas in East Java. A quantitative approach with path analysis techniques was employed to determine both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. Data were collected from 96 apple farmers using structured questionnaires. The findings indicate that fertilizer prices do not have a direct effect on the sustainability of apple farming. However, fertilizer prices significantly affect apple quality, which in turn indirectly influences the sustainability of farming activities. Meanwhile, selling prices have a significant direct impact on both apple quality and the sustainability of apple farming. These results demonstrate that apple quality acts as an important mediating factor between fertilizer prices and selling prices in maintaining sustainable farming practices. Therefore, improving apple quality is a key strategy to strengthen the sustainability of apple farming, especially in facing the challenges of fluctuating fertilizer and market prices. This study provides useful insights for policymakers and farmers in developing strategies to enhance productivity and sustainability in apple agribusiness.

This study analyzes the implementation of Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) principles in the 'Nusa Loe' program in Biting Village, East Manggarai. The ABCD approach emphasizes utilizing local assets such as social networks, cultural traditions, natural resources, and human skills as the foundation for sustainable development and community independence. The program begins with an asset mapping activity led by the community, enabling the identification of the village's strengths from five key aspects: human, social, natural, institutional, and cultural assets. Through active participation, the community designs and implements development activities based on local potentials, replacing the conventional development paradigm that focuses on deficiencies and needs. The qualitative research approach employs in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and data triangulation to understand the shifts in mindset and community empowerment. The findings show that the implementation of ABCD successfully transformed the community's mindset, previously dependent on external aid, into a more independent and self-confident one. For example, Mr. Petrus, who improved the economic value of local coffee products after attending a coffee roasting training, and Mrs. Maria, who emphasized the importance of social capital and solidarity in supporting the sustainability of village businesses. The strengthening of cultural assets and local traditions, such as the Caci dance and customary rituals, was also integrated into the village's development plans and institutional management. The 'Nusa Loe' program demonstrates that asset-based empowerment can build a self-reliant, innovative, and sustainable village in the face of development challenges.

This community service program aims to enhance the English communication skills of strawberry farmers in Pancasari Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency, as an effort to strengthen tourism competitiveness through agrotourism. The activity was carried out through practical English training using a participatory and context-based approach that reflects the farmers’ real communication needs. The training consisted of two main stages: a classroom session employing the role-play method and a field practice session held directly at the strawberry farm with the involvement of local tourists and student assistants. The training materials covered daily expressions commonly used in interactions with visitors, including greetings, product explanation, offering activities, and basic transaction language. The primary learning media were a bilingual communication booklet and situational training modules, both developed from the results of a prior needs analysis. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in the participants’ English communication abilities. Based on the pre-test and post-test results, the average improvement reached 43%, particularly in speaking confidence, vocabulary mastery, and fluency. Participants also demonstrated increased enthusiasm and professionalism when interacting with tourists in English. This program proves that practical and role-play–based training is effective in developing both linguistic competence and communicative confidence among local farmers. It also strengthens their role as tourism actors who contribute to the sustainable development of the Pancasari agrotourism area.
