Psychological fatigue is a common condition experienced by nursing students due to heavy academic workload, clinical practice demands, and emotional pressure during the learning process. This condition may negatively affect concentration, learning motivation, and overall mental health. One non-pharmacological intervention strategy proven effective in reducing stress and psychological fatigue is Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) based on Jacobson’s technique. In this community service program, PMR was combined with instrumental music to provide a more optimal relaxation effect and to be easily applied by students independently. The purpose of this activity was to provide education, training, and hands-on experience for students in practicing Self-Guided PMR combined with instrumental music as a preventive and promotive effort for mental health. The program was carried out on Thursday, August 14, 2025, involving 15 nursing students as participants. The stages of implementation included delivering material on PMR concepts and mental health, demonstrating Jacobson’s technique, independent practice of PMR with instrumental music, and a reflection session to explore participants’ experiences. The evaluation results indicated that most students reported feeling calmer, more relaxed, experiencing reduced muscle tension, and decreased symptoms of psychological fatigue after the intervention. In addition, students stated that this technique was easy to practice independently, making it a potential simple strategy to maintain mental health throughout their nursing studies. In conclusion, the implementation of Self-Guided PMR based on Jacobson’s technique combined with instrumental music was effective in reducing psychological fatigue among nursing students and in increasing awareness of the importance of independent relaxation practice as part of maintaining mental and physical balance.

Malaria is a global health problem, particularly in tropical countries like Indonesia. Papua has 374 endemic districts/cities, with the highest number of malaria cases, with 14,586 cases, and Jayapura Regency in 2024 with 50,529 patients and 6,213 relapses. The high number of cases is due to the geographical conditions that favor mosquito breeding and the dormant state in the body. If treatment is not carried out correctly and thoroughly, it can lead to malaria relapse. The purpose of this study was to determine factors associated with relapse in malaria patients in the Harapan Community Health Center (Puskesmas) area, Jayapura Regency. This research was an analytical study with a cross-sectional design. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire. A total of 88 respondents were recruited using simple accidental sampling. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using chi-square and binary logistic regression. Based on the analysis, it was found that factors that were not related to recurrence in malaria patients in the Harapan Community Health Center, Jayapura Regency were age (p-value 1.000 > α 0.05), gender (p-value 0.855 > α 0.05), and education (p-value 0.124 > α 0.05). Factors related to recurrence in malaria patients in the Harapan Community Health Center, Jayapura Regency were occupation (p-value 0.032 or p < α 0.05), nutritional status (p-value 0.000 < α 0.05), and medication adherence (p-value 0.000 < α 0.05). Medication adherence was the dominant factor in recurrence in malaria patients at the Harapan Community Health Center (p-value 0.000 < 0.05). Malaria patients who do not comply with taking their medication cause the malaria parasite to become dormant in the body which can at any time cause malaria relapses and resistance to malaria drugs.

Based on global reports, there were 247 million malaria cases in 2021, increasing from 245 million cases in 2020. In Indonesia, the Ministry of Health recorded 254,055 malaria cases in 2020. Three provinces—Maluku, Papua, and West Papua—have not yet achieved malaria elimination. Malaria is an acute febrile disease caused by the Plasmodium parasite, transmitted to humans through bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. It remains a significant public health problem due to its impact on morbidity, mortality, and productivity in endemic areas. This study aimed to examine the relationship between nutritional status and malaria incidence among patients in the working area of Senggo Health Center. An analytical descriptive approach with a cross-sectional study design was applied. The study population included all malaria patients examined at Senggo Health Center, Citak Mitak District, Papua, totaling 559 patients in February. A sample of 243 respondents was selected using the Table for Determining Needed Size of a Random Sample. Results showed that most respondents suffered from mild malaria, and the majority had normal nutritional status. Statistical analysis indicated a significant relationship between nutritional status and malaria incidence in the Senggo Health Center area. Respondents with poor nutritional status were more likely to experience malaria with severe symptoms compared to those with normal or good nutritional status. These findings highlight the critical role of nutrition in malaria prevention. Nutritional interventions should be integrated with vector control measures and public health education to reduce malaria incidence and improve community health. Improving nutritional status, particularly in endemic regions, is essential for enhancing immunity, reducing disease severity, and supporting overall malaria control efforts. Nutritional status significantly influences malaria incidence. Public health programs targeting nutritional improvement are necessary to complement existing malaria control strategies, reduce case numbers, and promote better health outcomes in endemic areas.

The worsening ecological crisis, such as the floods that hit Parapat, demands a serious response from various elements of society, including religious institutions. This article highlights the role of the Church, particularly Huria Kristen Batak Protestan (HKBP), in caring for nature in Tanah Batak as a form of faith and social responsibility. Using theological and socio-cultural approaches, this study analyzes the contribution of HKBP teachings and Pope Francis' call in the encyclical Laudato Si' to the ecological awareness of the people. It emphasizes that the HKBP doctrine of the wholeness of creation and community-based ecological movements can be transformative solutions to environmental degradation. Through a case study of flooding in Parapat, this article demonstrates the urgency of church involvement in ecological advocacy and environmental education, and the importance of synergy between faith, Batak culture, and concrete action for the sustainability of God's creation. The HKBP's teachings on the wholeness of creation align closely with Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’, which calls for a radical shift in how humanity perceives and interacts with nature. By emphasizing the interconnectedness of all life, the HKBP doctrine encourages its followers to view environmental stewardship not only as a moral obligation but as an essential expression of faith. This view aligns with Pope Francis' call for an "ecological conversion," urging individuals and communities to recognize their role in caring for God's creation. Through the case study of flooding in Parapat, this article illustrates the real-world implications of ecological negligence and the importance of church involvement in ecological advocacy. The HKBP, along with other religious and community-based movements, can spearhead efforts to integrate environmental education into their teachings and local initiatives.

Stunting is a growth failure condition in toddlers caused by chronic malnutrition, particularly during the critical first 1,000 days of life. This condition is influenced by various factors, including maternal education and feeding practices. This study aims to analyze the relationship between maternal education level and feeding patterns with the incidence of stunting among toddlers in the working area of the Pekauman Community Health Center, Banjarmasin City. The research employed a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of mothers with toddlers, with 66 respondents selected through accidental sampling. Data collection was carried out using structured questionnaires and documentation studies related to children’s nutritional status. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate methods, with the Spearman Rho test applied at a 0.05 significance level. The findings revealed a significant relationship between maternal education level and stunting incidence (p = 0.009), suggesting that lower levels of maternal education were associated with higher stunting rates. Conversely, feeding patterns did not show a statistically significant relationship with stunting (p = 0.081), although descriptive data indicated that inappropriate feeding practices were common among respondents. The majority of mothers in this study had basic education (elementary to junior high school), and a considerable number of toddlers were found to be stunted. Based on these results, it can be concluded that maternal education level plays an essential role in influencing stunting, while feeding patterns require further investigation with larger samples. The study recommends strengthening nutrition education and counseling programs for mothers, particularly those with low educational backgrounds, alongside regular monitoring of child growth and development by health professionals. Additionally, government efforts to expand access to health and nutrition information through easily accessible media are expected to contribute to stunting prevention and reduction strategies.

Background: Anemia in pregnancy is a public health problem that can increase the risk of serious complications, such as premature birth, maternal and infant mortality, and impaired fetal growth and development. One effort to prevent anemia is by consuming iron tablets (iron supplements). However, the success of this intervention is greatly influenced by the behavior of pregnant women in consuming these tablets, which includes knowledge, attitudes, and actions. If pregnant women have a good understanding and attitude, and implement iron tablet consumption appropriately, the risk of anemia can be reduced. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between iron consumption behavior (based on knowledge, attitudes, and actions) with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at the Kuala Bangka Community Health Center, North Labuhan Batu Regency, in 2022. Method: This study used a descriptive analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 20 pregnant women selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire covering knowledge, attitudes, and actions of pregnant women regarding iron consumption, as well as the incidence of anemia. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The majority of respondents had sufficient knowledge (45%), insufficient attitudes (70%), and insufficient iron consumption actions (70%). Moderate anemia was found in 70% of respondents. Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.005), attitudes (p=0.001), and practices (p=0.000) and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between iron consumption behavior (knowledge, attitudes, and practices) and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. Increased education and support for pregnant women regarding the importance of proper iron consumption to prevent anemia during pregnancy is needed.

This research examines the vital role of pesantren education in embedding and sustaining moral values within the broader social context, with a particular focus on Pondok Pesantren Raudlatul Muta’allimin Kudus. As traditional Islamic institutions, pesantren not only function as centers for religious instruction but also act as moral guardians that shape the character, ethics, and social behavior of students and their surrounding communities. In the midst of rapid globalization and shifting cultural dynamics, pesantren face the challenge of preserving the relevance of Islamic values while adapting to contemporary realities. The purpose of this study is to investigate how pesantren education contributes to moral development and to identify strategies utilized to instill Islamic ethics. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research gathered data through interviews, direct observation, and documentation involving kyai, teachers, students, and community members. The findings show that pesantren foster moral growth through structured daily rituals, integration of moral teachings in curriculum, exemplary leadership (uswah), and active community-based programs. These practices build discipline, honesty, empathy, and social responsibility in students, which in turn positively affect the surrounding society. Furthermore, the leadership model demonstrated by kyai and teachers plays a central role in reinforcing values through example, rather than instruction alone. The study concludes that pesantren education continues to serve as a powerful moral force by blending religious instruction with practical community engagement, ensuring that values are not only taught but also lived. This underscores the relevance of pesantren as adaptive agents of moral transformation capable of addressing the ethical challenges of modern Muslim societies. It also highlights that the pesantren framework can serve as a replicable model for strengthening character education in diverse social and cultural contexts, making it both traditional and forward-looking.

This study examines the perceptions of the Pucangadi Village community towards the educational children's program "SiBobo" broadcast by TVRI Central Java. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with fifteen informants selected purposively. Informants consisted of parents, teachers, and local residents who have views regarding the program. The purpose of this study was to explore the extent to which the program "SiBobo" is accepted and has a positive impact on the development of children in the community. The results showed that the program "SiBobo" is considered an entertaining and educational learning medium by the majority of informants. This program successfully conveys moral and social messages relevant to children's lives, such as the values of togetherness, social awareness, and the importance of protecting the environment. This program is also considered able to attract children's attention in a fun way, making them interested in learning while playing. In addition, the content presented in this program can increase children's knowledge about local culture and wisdom, which is expected to increase their love for Indonesian culture. However, despite "SiBobo"'s high educational value, the presence of gadgets and children's preference for digital content, such as YouTube videos and game apps, often divert their attention from public television. Children are more interested in shows they can access anytime through their devices. This suggests that while television shows like "SiBobo" still play a significant role, competition from digital media presents a significant challenge. This study emphasizes the importance of revitalizing children's programming based on local values and the need for more adaptive communication strategies to optimally convey educational messages.

The low level of reading literacy in remote areas, such as the Muna Barat Daya Regency, poses a significant challenge in basic education. One innovation proposed to address this issue is the implementation of Scramble Fun Learning, an educational game-based approach designed to enhance reading literacy skills in students at SD Negeri 1Weet. This community service activity was carried out in two stages: a theoretical stage, which provided foundational understanding about the importance of literacy and gamification approaches, and a practical stage involving both teachers and fifth-grade students in word arrangement activities. Scramble Fun Learning combines game elements with a gamification approach by having students arrange words from random letters. The main objective is to train vocabulary recognition, strengthen reading comprehension, and increase student motivation to learn. In this activity, students are challenged to form words or sentences within a limited time, which not only stimulates their creativity but also makes the learning process more enjoyable and engaging. This method enables students to learn while playing, which is particularly effective in overcoming the boredom that often occurs in conventional learning. The results of this activity showed a significant improvement in student enthusiasm, active participation, and literacy skills. Many students who were previously disinterested in reading activities became more enthusiastic and motivated. Despite limitations in resources and time, the activity was still effectively implemented, thanks to creative adjustments made by the implementing team to ensure the material and activities were well received by both students and teachers. Overall, these findings indicate that Scramble Fun Learning is a highly potential and applicable approach to improving students' reading literacy, especially in areas with limited educational resources. This approach not only enhances literacy skills but also builds students' interest and motivation to continue learning.
