Mimosine is an aromatic amino acid found in Mimosa pudica L. (sensitive plant) and is known to possess toxic properties that can damage various organs, including the kidneys. This study aimed to investigate the effect of ethanolic root extract of Mimosa pudica on renal damage in mice (Mus musculus). Twelve mice were divided into four groups: a control group and three treatment groups that received ethanolic root extract of M. pudica at doses of 10 mg/mouse/14 days, 100 mg/mouse/14 days, and 1000 mg/mouse/14 days. Following treatment, the mice were dissected to measure serum creatinine levels as an indicator of renal function, and histopathological observations of kidney tissues were performed using Hematoxylin-Eosin staining. The results revealed that administration of the ethanolic root extract of M. pudica significantly increased serum creatinine levels (P < 0.05), indicating impaired renal filtration function. Histologically, several types of tissue damage were observed, including glomerular atrophy, hydropic degeneration, and cellular necrosis, with hydropic degeneration being the most predominant and glomerular atrophy the least frequent. These findings suggest that mimosine, an active compound in M. pudica roots, exhibits a dose-dependent nephrotoxic effect, where increasing extract concentrations exacerbate renal tissue damage. Therefore, caution is advised in the medicinal use of M. pudica, as despite its pharmacological potential, high-dose or prolonged exposure may pose a serious risk of renal dysfunction.

MP3 audio files are often used in a variety of fields, but they are prone to security risks such as eavesdropping and illegal access. This study proposes a super encryption method by combining the algorithms of Rivest Shamir Adleman (RSA) and ElGamal to improve the protection of audio data. RSA was chosen for its efficiency and ease of implementation, while ElGamal offers a high level of security through discrete logarithmic complexity. The combination of the two is expected to address the weaknesses of each algorithm and strengthen file security. The system is developed using the Python programming language with the Visual Studio Code environment. The encryption process is done in layers: MP3 files are first encrypted with RSA, and then the results are encrypted again with ElGamal. The decryption is done in reverse order. Tests are conducted with various MP3 file sizes to measure the effectiveness and performance of the system. The results show that this method is able to secure audio files so that they cannot be accessed without the private keys of both algorithms. Although processing times are increased compared to single encryption, the level of security obtained is much higher. This approach can be an effective solution for protecting digital audio data, particularly MP3 format, and could potentially be applied to a wide range of other data types that require a high level of security.

In modern soccer, lower-limb power is a crucial component that determines an athlete’s performance in sprinting, kicking, and jumping. This study aimed to compare the effects of Squat jump and Hexagon jump plyometric exercises on lower limb power in youth soccer athletes from Garuda Timur Football Academy Surabaya. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest–posttest two group design involving 12 athletes aged 14–17 years. Participants were divided into two groups of six: a Hexagon jump group and a Squat jump group. Lower limb power was assessed using the vertical jump test before and after the training intervention. Data were analyzed using the Matched Subject Ordinal Pairing (MSOP) method to determine the relative effectiveness of both training types. The results indicated that both exercises significantly improved athletes’ vertical jump performance. However, the Hexagon jump exercise showed greater effectiveness, with a winning proportion of 67% (4 out of 6 pairs) compared to 33% for the Squat jump. The superior results of the Hexagon jump group were attributed to its multidirectional movement pattern, which provides greater stimulation of coordination, balance, and neuromuscular reactivity. Therefore, it can be concluded that Hexagon jump training is more effective than Squat jump in enhancing lower limb power among youth soccer athletes.

The return of state financial losses does not eliminate the criminal penalty for perpetrators of corruption. However, differences in the application of Restorative Justice in corruption cases have created legal uncertainty, especially in resolving corruption cases that involve relatively small state financial losses. This study aims to examine and analyze the implementation of Restorative Justice for perpetrators of corruption in the management of village funds, which are often caused by administrative errors, lack of understanding, or weak supervision rather than intentional acts of enrichment. This type of research is Doctrinal, using the statute approach, namely legal research that focuses on the application and interpretation of normative legal provisions (laws and regulations) as well as a theoretical concept approach to understand justice in a restorative framework. The resolution of village fund corruption cases with small losses should ideally prioritize recovery of losses and community restoration, but cannot eliminate the criminal aspect entirely, so clear legal guidelines are needed to ensure fairness and legal certainty.
