When Islamic philosophy is discussed, it is imagined that there are several figures who are called Muslim philosophers such as Al-Kindi, Ibn Sina, Al-Farabi, Ibn Rushd, Al-Ghazali, and so on. The presence of these figures is indeed unavoidable, because from them we can get to know Islamic philosophy, but also because in them the seeds of Islamic philosophy were developed. (Daulay & Dahlan, 2021) Sufism in Islam goes through various phases and conditions. In each phase and condition that it goes through, only some aspects are contained. Regarding the moral aspect, in the Qur'an there are many verses that encourage asceticism, patience, surrender to Allah, willingness, love, faith, simple living, and everything that is required of every Muslim as the perfection of faith. The Qur'an itself states that the Messenger of Allah is the best role model for those who want to perfect themselves with these virtues in their most noble form (alTaftazani, 2003, pp. 10-11). The thoughts of Sufi figures in the study of Sufism are very diverse in form and each Sufi has different characteristics even though the estuary is the same, namely towards al-Haq (Allah swt.). For example, Ibn Arabi with his concept of wahdat al-wujud, al-Halaj with the concept of hulul, Rabiah al-Adawiyah with the concept of mahabbah and many more.

This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic education in the teachings of Tarjumah Jam'iyah Rifa'iyah in Luwihan Hamlet, Kalikajar District, Wonosobo Regency. Qualitative setting field research takes the object of the implementation of Islamic education in the teachings of Tarjumah Jam'iyah Rifa'iyah, located in Luwihan Hamlet, Kalikajar District, Wonosobo Regency for two months from March to April 2025, with research subjects including the congregation of the sect, community leaders, and religious leaders. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation to then be analyzed descriptively. The results of the research show that the Tarjumah teachings are a legacy of K.H. Ahmad Rifa'i's thoughts which emphasize three main principles in Islamic education, namely the formation of strong faith, the development of noble morals (akhlaqul karimah), and the practice of Islamic law as a whole (kaffah). This concept not only emphasizes theoretical or cognitive aspects, but also focuses on the formation of real character and behavior in accordance with Islamic values in everyday life. The implementation of Islamic education in this teaching is carried out through various religious activities that are integrated with community life, such as regular religious studies in mosques, prayer rooms, or residents' homes, with the main material in the form of Javanese tarjumah books containing Islamic teachings in the form of nadham, including aqidah, worship, muamalah, and manners. In addition, the implementation of congregational worship such as the five daily prayers, dhuha prayers, and dhikr activities, are also effective educational media. This fact shows the harmony between teaching, habituation, and exemplary behavior, where Islamic values are not only taught, but are manifested in social interactions in society through joint religious activities, traditions of mutual assistance, concern for the environment, and efforts to maintain social harmony. Thus, Islamic education in the teachings of Tarjumah Jam’iyah Rifa’iyah has proven to be able to form a society that is religious, has character, and consistently practices Islamic teachings in everyday life. This finding leads to the direction of future research to examine more widely the comparative implementation of tarjumah teachings in other regions and its impact on positive social change in more depth.

The development of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube has resulted in a major transformation in the way people communicate and interact, especially among Generation Z. This generation, born between 1997 and 2012, was formed in a digital environment rich in information and high social interaction. This study aims to uncover the psychological impacts of excessive social media use, such as the emergence of feelings of fear of missing out (FoMO), anxiety, low self-confidence, and identity crisis. Various studies have shown that high frequency of social media use is closely related to increased social pressure and mental health disorders. From an Islamic perspective, the Qur'an as a guide for Muslims offers spiritual solutions that can help balance the challenges of this digital era. This research underlines the importance of a faith-based approach to addressing the negative impacts of social media, and invites the younger generation to return to Qur'anic values in order to achieve inner peace and strengthen their relationship with Allah SWT.

This study aims to examine the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the formation of students' character in the era of globalization which is full of value challenges due to technological developments and information flows. Globalization has had a significant impact on the morality of the younger generation, so that religious-based character education is becoming increasingly important. Using a qualitative research method based on literature studies, data were collected from various relevant scientific literature sources and analyzed thematically. The results of the study indicate that PAI plays a central role in instilling students' faith, morality, and social values through value-based learning, habituation of worship, and teacher role models. However, globalization is a contextual factor that can weaken or strengthen this influence depending on the implementation strategy. These findings strengthen Lickona's character education theory and Bandura's social learning theory, and show the importance of an adaptive and contextual approach in teaching PAI. The implications of this study are the need to develop a more innovative, integrative, and collaborative PAI curriculum and learning strategy between schools, families, and communities so that religious values remain firmly embedded in students amidst the challenges of globalization.

This paper aims to explore and integrate three disciplines—philosophy, history, and biology—in order to strengthen and clarify the rational foundation of the Christian faith. Using a qualitative approach, the author examines the contributions of philosophy in formulating rational arguments for the existence of God, the historical connections in the development of the early church, and the accuracy of biblical narratives based on archaeological findings. Biology, particularly through the complex structure of DNA and the order found in living systems, is also viewed as evidence of a divine design underlying all of creation. Through the synthesis of these three disciplines, this article asserts that the Christian faith is not in conflict with reason and science but can be defended logically and scientifically. Thinkers such as Plantinga and Craig demonstrate how philosophical arguments and historical data support the validity of faith, while scientists like Francis Collins show how science can deepen our understanding of God's greatness. This integration is intended as a constructive response to the challenges of modernity and as a foundation for Christians to maintain a firm, intelligent, and relevant faith in the midst of changing times.

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) plays a strategic role in shaping students’ religious character, especially in a modern era filled with moral and spiritual challenges. IRE is not merely about delivering theoretical religious knowledge but is more focused on instilling Islamic values into students' daily lives. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education in shaping the religious character of senior high school students in Tarakan City by exploring its contribution to developing students’ personalities rooted in faith, noble character, and social responsibility. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review methods, with data collected from books, academic journals, and other relevant documents. The findings reveal that IRE plays a significant role in nurturing religious character, reflected in values such as honesty, discipline, tolerance, responsibility, worship obedience, and harmonious relationships between humans and God, fellow beings, and the environment. However, the effectiveness of IRE is influenced by both internal and external factors. Internal factors include student motivation and awareness, while external factors encompass teacher competence, curriculum design, family involvement, social environment, and the use of information technology. IRE teachers are expected not only to be knowledge transmitters but also to serve as moral and spiritual role models. A contextual and applicable curriculum is essential to address the needs of today’s learners. Furthermore, active student participation in extracurricular religious activities significantly contributes to the development of religious character. Cases of juvenile delinquency, deviant behaviors, and the lack of application of religious values outside classroom settings indicate the need for stronger and more comprehensive IRE practices. This study recommends strengthening the role of IRE teachers, developing responsive curricula aligned with contemporary needs, and enhancing collaboration between schools and families to optimize the formation of morally upright and religiously aware young generations.

In Indonesia, the Christian faith is often misunderstood in the context of religious pluralism. Aware of the multi-religious nature of this nation, consideration arises as to what appropriate ideas can be applied to communicating the Christian faith within the context of interfaith theology. The challenges and opportunities in communicating the Christian faith must also be considered. Challenges within interfaith communities include the potential for exclusivism and dogmatism, pluralism, relativism, and inclusivism. These pose significant challenges and dangers to one's faith. If the confession that Jesus is the only Way of Salvation is not sensitive to these circumstances, it can erode, leading to a tendency to deny and equate all religions with the same. This research uses a qualitative method focused on literature review, where sources are obtained from books, journals, and other scholarly works. All scientific references used align with the theme of this paper, namely, "Opportunities and Challenges of Christian Faith Within the Framework of the Theology of Religions."

This study examines the concept of the Day of Judgment in Islam based on the Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ hadiths, which serve as primary sources explaining the minor and major signs preceding the end times, providing moral and spiritual guidance for Muslims. Using a qualitative method and library research, authentic hadiths from collections such as Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim were thematically analyzed to understand their relevance and moral messages. The findings confirm that the Day of Judgment is an inevitable event preceded by signs meant to warn believers to strengthen their faith and spiritual readiness amid moral decline and the loss of religious knowledge due to the passing of scholars. Friday holds a special status as a sacred day and the time when the Day of Judgment will occur, while certain groups of steadfast and sincere believers will receive Allah’s protection on that day. Overall, these teachings emphasize the importance of maintaining faith, righteous deeds, and Islamic brotherhood as essential preparation for salvation in both this world and the hereafter.

Education plays a fundamental role as the primary foundation for shaping character, personality, and mastery of knowledge. From an Islamic perspective, the position of teachers is crucial, as they are not merely instructors but also serve as moral, spiritual, and social guides for students. This study aims to explain the uniqueness of teachers from an Islamic perspective by highlighting their status, role, and relevance in contemporary education. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative with a literature review, conducted through a review of relevant literature. The findings indicate that teachers are viewed as respected figures and agents of change responsible for instilling values of faith, knowledge, and noble morals in future generations. However, current reality shows that respect for teachers is often declining, as this profession is often viewed as merely a formal job without considering the inherent noble values. Therefore, this study emphasizes the urgency of renewing public understanding regarding the uniqueness of teachers from an Islamic perspective, so that their strategic position and role are maintained. The recommendations from this study invite all elements, including society, students, and policy makers, to increase respect for teachers, while teachers themselves are expected to continue to improve their professional competence, provide real examples, and serve with full sincerity for the sake of realizing a generation that is intelligent, knowledgeable, faithful, and has good morals in accordance with Islamic guidance.

The thematic study of hadiths (maudhu'i) concerning nature and science is a significant approach to understanding Islam's contribution to environmental preservation and the development of modern scientific knowledge. This research aims to examine the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ related to environmental conservation, natural phenomena, and their integration with contemporary scientific findings. The method used is qualitative research with a library research approach, where primary data were obtained from authentic hadith collections such as Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, and analyzed thematically. The results of the discussion indicate that the concept of environmental conservation in Islam is reflected in the principle of hima, as well as hadiths that encourage tree planting and the protection of living beings. Hadiths about natural phenomena such as the sea, rain, and wind contain both spiritual and educational messages that support ecological awareness. Furthermore, the integration of hadith with modern science, such as embryology, demonstrates that Islam supports scientific exploration as a form of worship and a means of understanding the greatness of Allah’s creation. In conclusion, thematic hadith studies not only enrich the understanding of the relationship between religion and science among Muslims but also provide an ethical foundation for building a faithful, knowledgeable, and environmentally responsible society that contributes to scientific advancement.

This research is a theological study of Job's suffering. In order to make this suffering relevant to believers, one of the books that attracts attention to be discussed is the book of Job. Job's story is still a topic of conversation to this day when someone faces suffering. Suffering can be experienced by humans, both men and women, both young and old, rich and poor, even children. Every Christian person or family must have faced tragedies in their own lives, for example death, loss of property, illness, economic crisis and ect. Job was a man who was pious, honest, feared God and shunned evil and could experience severe and extreme suffering. The goal is that Christians are motivated to persist in the faith, when suffering is unavoidable.                 Based on a theological study of the story of Job's suffering, several correct understandings of the emergence of suffering are obtained which are relevant for the lives of Christian families who experience suffering and strengthen Christian families who experience suffering. The Christian family cannot be separated from the reality of suffering and one day the Christian's faith will be tested by God. However, this suffering should make you increasingly know God and glorify Him.

This article examines in depth the relationship between the outward form and the spiritual essence of the Church in the context of contemporary Christianity. The church is not only understood as a physical structure with buildings, organizational systems, and orderly worship, but also as a spiritual community that reflects the love of Christ, the presence of God, and a missiological calling in the world. An imbalance between external aspects and spiritual substance can lead to disorientation of church functions, both in the aspect of service and in the meaning of the faith of the people. Excessive focus on form can make the church spiritually dry, while neglect of order and form can lead to chaos in church life. Through a qualitative approach with a literature study method, this article examines the thoughts of several theological figures such as Miroslav Volf, who emphasizes the church as a reflection of the Trinitarian relationship; Lesslie Newbigin, who offers the perspective of the church as an institution, community of the word, and communion of the Spirit; and Stephen Suleeman, who highlights the role of the church as an agent of social and spiritual transformation in Indonesia. The research also considers contemporary challenges, such as the development of digital technology, shifting social values, and the declining interest of younger generations in formal religious institutions. Therefore, this article emphasizes the importance of maintaining a balance between the form and essence of the church in order to remain relevant, contextual, and faithful to the faith.

The development of information technology, particularly the internet and social media, has significantly impacted how the Church functions and interacts with its congregation. This transformation is not only technological but also touches upon fundamental theological aspects. This article aims to examine the changes in the meaning, function, and identity of the Church in the context of digitalization, with a focus on comparing the pre-internet and post-internet eras. Through a systematic theological approach, this analysis explores how the Church, as a community of faith and a spiritual organism, must re-understand its existence amidst the increasingly dominant presence of digital media in believers' lives. In the pre-internet era, church life revolved around physical gatherings, conventional liturgies, and direct spiritual authority. However, in the digital age, new forms of ministry have emerged, such as online worship services, virtual communities, and the dissemination of the Word through social media and other digital platforms. These changes offer opportunities to reach a broader audience but also pose serious challenges such as digital individualism, theological distortion, and a crisis of spiritual authority. This article concludes that the Church needs to develop adaptive ministry strategies while remaining faithful to the essence of Christian spirituality. By maintaining a balance between online and offline ministries and strengthening theological understanding amidst the rapid flow of information, the Church can remain relevant and effective in carrying out its mission.

Many individuals, including those who profess faith, often struggle to endure the various forms of suffering encountered in life, primarily because it is difficult for human beings to accept pain and trials as part of their earthly journey. As a result, some fail to attain the promise of eternal happiness at the culmination of their lives. According to the Christian faith, true and lasting happiness is not achieved through worldly comfort but is reserved only for those who consistently read and meditate on the Scriptures, whether privately or in communal settings, who strive to preserve holiness in their daily lives, who remain faithful in following Jesus even until death, and who demonstrate obedience to God’s Word. Such believers will not experience eternal death but are granted the privilege to enter the holy city and participate in the joyous banquet of Christ. The purpose of this research is to explore the pathway toward attaining genuine happiness, both in earthly life and ultimately in the holy city of God, which requires a willingness to endure even physical suffering, potentially unto death. To ensure reliable findings, the study employs a qualitative methodology with a grammatical-textual approach combined with interviews. The findings indicate that believers who comprehend the meaning of the Greek concept “μακάριος” (makarios) as it appears in the Book of Revelation will gain firm confidence to endure suffering, maintaining faith and perseverance, even if that perseverance leads to martyrdom for the sake of Christ Jesus.

This technical guidance (bimtek) activity was held with the primary objective of improving the digital capacity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) members of the Papua Gallery in Sorong City. The approach used was quite unique because it combined information technology, specifically the e-commerce platform Odoo, with a sociological perspective of religion. This approach places the values of faith, community ethics, and local culture as the main foundation in the digital transformation process being carried out. This activity was carried out by a team of lecturers from Victory University Sorong from the Information Systems and Sociology of Religion Study Program, and involved students as part of community service. The implementation process included several stages: an assessment of MSMEs' digital needs, technical training on using Odoo, direct assistance in implementing the dare store, evaluation of results, and ongoing follow-up. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in digital literacy among MSMEs, success in creating and managing online stores independently, and a growing awareness that business digitization is not only an economic necessity, but also part of spiritual and social responsibility. In addition, this activity also helped strengthen the branding and presence of local Papuan culture through digital media. This faith- and cultural-based training model has proven effective and relevant for replication in other MSME communities in different regions, especially those with strong local cultural and religious potential.

This article discusses the meaning of marriage as a holy covenant from the perspective of the New Testament, particularly for Christian couples who have not been blessed with children. This study employs a qualitative method through literature review of the Bible, theological books, and relevant scientific sources. The findings show that, in Christian teaching, the value of marriage is not solely determined by the presence of children, but rather by unity, love, and commitment centered on Christ. Marriage is seen as a reflection of the relationship between Christ and His church, requiring faithfulness and perseverance in facing life’s challenges, including the struggle of childlessness. New Testament theological principles provide comfort and strength for couples to remain faithful in marriage, and emphasize the importance of building a family that reflects God’s love and truth, regardless of having children.

Understanding ecclesiology plays a crucial role in the structure and life of the church, because through ecclesiology, the church can recognize its identity and understand its purpose and calling in the world. Proper ecclesiology is the basis for the formation of church organizations and the implementation of religious practices. With this understanding, the church can carry out its function as a community of faith that reflects the love and truth of Christ in life together. GKPI is one of the churches that adheres to Luther's ecclesiology. This study aims to see how the ecclesiology understood by Martin Luther is used as the basis for the theology of church order in GKPI.
