This study aims to describe the implementation of worship training through fieldwork practice (PKL) activities carried out at the Sibau Hulu Mosque. The focus of the activities includes reading the Qur'an and performing congregational prayers as an effort to strengthen religious values ​​and foster spiritual discipline within the community. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, participation, and documentation techniques during the Qur'an reading and congregational prayers activities, which provide a positive contribution in increasing worship awareness, forming better worship habits, and strengthening social interactions among mosque congregations. In addition, this activity also encourages active participation, cooperation, and internalization of Islamic values ​​in daily life. Thus, religious-based PKL activities have an important role in supporting worship training and spiritual character formation within the Sibau Hulu Mosque community, which in turn can strengthen Islamic brotherhood at the local level. This activity is also expected to serve as a model for other mosques in improving worship development and spiritual character of the congregation.

This research highlights the important role of the Naqsabandiyah Shafaiyah Tarekat in shaping the character of the worshippers at the Ahlus Shafa Wal Wafa Islamic Boarding School. This order centers on the purification of the soul (tazkiyatun nafs), spiritual discipline, and the strengthening of relationships with Allah and fellow humans. The process of character development is carried out continuously through various routine activities, such as dhikr, wirid reading, recitation, and direct guidance from a mursyid. These activities aim to create a deep religious atmosphere to encourage changes in attitudes and behaviors of worshippers. The results showed that after following the tarekat, the pilgrims experienced a significant increase in spiritual, emotional, and social aspects. They become calmer, more patient, and wiser in dealing with life's problems. In addition, the awareness to live simply and stay away from despicable traits such as arrogance and envy is growing along with the routine of dhikr and self-introspection. In the social context, this tarekat also succeeded in fostering an attitude of care, the spirit of mutual cooperation, and responsibility for the surrounding environment. Thus, the Naqsyabandiyah Shafaiyah Tarekat not only functions as a means to get closer to Allah, but also becomes an effective instrument in shaping the character of the congregation who has noble character and is ready to make a positive contribution to the wider community.

This study was motivated by the role of liturgical music as the primary medium of spiritual expression in Pentecostal worship, which is characterised by expressiveness and participation. The purpose of this study was to analyse the presentation of liturgical music and examine how it shapes and represents the spiritual expression of the congregation in the worship services of the Indonesian Bethel Church (GBI) Light Corner in Gorontalo City. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-interpretative design. Data were obtained through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with worship leaders and congregants, and audio-visual documentation. Data analysis was conducted thematically with reference to musicology, liturgical theology, and cultural studies perspectives. The results of the study show that liturgical music at GBI Light Corner is presented in a structured yet flexible manner, combining contemporary music with conscious liturgical planning. Music serves as a medium for creating a sacred atmosphere, binding the structure of worship, and as the main means of expressing the spirituality of the congregation both personally and communally. These findings indicate that liturgical music not only reflects the spirituality of the congregation but also actively shapes the experience of faith in the context of the local Pentecostal Church. This research has implications for the development of contextual, theological, and reflective liturgical music practices in church life.

Hajj is one of the pillars of Islam that must be carried out by all Muslims for those who can afford it. The implementation of the hajj of course has pillars and conditions that regulate the implementation of the hajj, if they commit an offense that is not in accordance with the pillars of hajj, then a Muslim or Muslim woman can be sanctioned.  In the implementation of the Hajj, the sanctions given are called dam. The research was conducted to find out the views of the top four Islamic imams on the payment of fines (dam) in the implementation of the Hajj, the types of violations that can be imposed and to see the development of the implementation of Hajj for Indonesian pilgrims. The research was carried out using qualitative methods. The subject of the study is an Indonesian hajj pilgrim guide who has done it. The four major sects (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, Hambali) agree that dam is a fine of worship that must be paid when pilgrims violate the prohibition or abandon the obligation of Hajj, with the main form of slaughtering animals, feeding the poor, or fasting if they are unable to afford it. The difference lies in the limit of a violation so that it is obligatory and a choice between slaughter, food alms, and fasting in each sect.

Financial purity is a fundamental principle in Islamic economics that emphasizes the management of assets in a halal, fair, and responsible manner in accordance with sharia provisions. In the context of Islamic financial institutions, zakat plays a strategic role as an instrument for the purification of assets (tazkiyat al-mal) and as a mechanism for wealth redistribution to achieve social justice. This study aims to analyze the role of zakat in maintaining the financial purity of Islamic financial institutions. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to managers and related parties in Islamic financial institutions that have zakat management programs. The research variables include zakat management as the independent variable and financial purity as the dependent variable, which were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results of this study indicate that zakat management has a positive and significant impact on the financial sanctity of Islamic financial institutions, primarily through increased sharia compliance, transparency, and institutional accountability. This finding confirms that zakat serves not only as an obligatory act of worship but also as a strategic instrument in strengthening the ethics, legitimacy, and social responsibility of Islamic financial institutions. This research is expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to the development of sustainable zakat governance in the Islamic financial system.

Tawhid education is a fundamental aspect of Islamic education that serves as the foundation for the formation of faith and individual religious character. The family plays a crucial role as the primary educational environment in instilling the values of Tawhid from an early age. However, in modern social realities, the role of families in Tawhid education often faces various challenges, necessitating support from non-formal Islamic educational institutions. This study aims to describe the role of families in Tawhid education through their involvement in the Majlis Taklim ‘Izzatin Nisa Tangerang. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation of the Majlis Taklim administrators, the congregation, and ongoing learning activities. The results show that families play an active role in Tawhid education through parental role models, the habit of worship at home, and the strengthening of understanding of the faith gained from the Majlis Taklim activities. The Majlis Taklim ‘Izzatin Nisa serves as an educational tool that strengthens the congregation's understanding of Tawhid and encourages its implementation in family life. Thus, the synergy between families and religious study groups has been proven to contribute to strengthening monotheism education and building religious awareness within the community.

In the contemporary era,many people have yet to fully comprehend or internalize the spiritual and social dimensions of prayer (shalat). As a result, shalat is often carried out merely as a routine obligation without deep reflection on its true purpose. In fact, shalat plays a significant role in shaping personal character and social behavior. This study employs a literature review approach by examining various sources, including books, academic journals, and educational articles that discuss the concept and significance of shalat as an act of worship. The findings indicate that a profound understanding of the inner meanings of shalat can foster self-awareness, self-control, and discipline. These values strongly contribute to the development of moral and ethical character. Furthermore, shalat reflects collective religiosity through its practices and procedures, symbolizing spiritual purification, reverence for God, and awareness of human limitations. Congregational prayer further emphasizes principles of unity, brotherhood, and equality, regardless of social status or background. In addition, shalat functions as a moral safeguard that prevents individuals from engaging in immoral and harmful actions. Therefore, shalat plays a crucial role not only in strengthening spiritual devotion but also in maintaining personal integrity and social harmony.

Fasting is one of the main acts of worship in Islam that has profound meaning, both spiritualy, socially, and health-wise. This study aims to examine the benefits of fasting in the perspective of sunnah through a pure qualitative approach using the phenomenological method. The focus of the study is on how the practice of sunnah fasting, such as Monday-Thursday, Daud. Arafah, Ashura and Ayyamul Bidh, affects the increase in spiritually, inner peace, and sincerity of individuals. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method thar aims to examine the benefits of fasting in the perspesctive of sunnah. Data were obtained from various relevant literature sources, imcluding the Qur’an, hadith, fiqh books, and national jurnals listed in thebibliography with a publication range 2009-2024. The results of the study show that fasting not only serves as  a form of obedience to Allah SWT, but also as a means of purifying the soul, controlling desires, and increasing social empathy. In addition, fasting has physiological benefits that can improve physical health. Thus, fasting in the perspective of sunnah is a comprehensive spiritual education shaping Muslims to be pious, patient and noble in character.

This study discusses the role of prayer in shaping character and daily ethics as one of the main pillars of Islamic teachings. Prayer is not merely a ritual act of worship but also serves as a means of spiritual and moral education and shapes the overall personality of Muslims. This study uses a literature review method by examining various sources such as books, journals, and scientific articles relevant to Google Scholar from 2020 to 2025, sourced from 20 Indonesian-language journals and 5 English-language journals. Based on this background, prayer plays an important role in instilling values of discipline, responsibility, sincerity, patience, and self-reflection, which contribute to the formation of an individual's character and integrity. In addition, prayer also serves as the foundation of social ethics by fostering honesty, justice, empathy, politeness, and solidarity in social interactions. There is also congregational prayer, which, when performed, can strengthen the values of togetherness, brotherhood, and social concern, which are the foundations of a harmonious social life. Research shows that consistent and solemn prayer practices can control desires, prevent immoral and evil deeds, and provide mental and spiritual balance for the practitioner. Thus, prayer is an important instrument in the moral and spiritual development of Muslims and is relevant in facing modern challenges such as stress and social ethical degradation.

Obligatory prayer is a fundamental act of worship in Islam; performing it earns reward, while neglecting it results in sin for those who have fulfilled the required conditions, namely being of legal age (baligh), of sound mind, and free from ritual impurity (hadath). The background of this study is important for understanding how the values upheld by classical fiqh scholars and Islamic teachings can be interpreted in a way that connects traditional understanding with the needs of the Muslim community in the modern era. This research aims to identify, analyze, and compare the values of farḍu prayer based on the perspectives of different groups of scholars. The results show that classical scholars emphasize values such as obedience, order, legal aspects, discipline, and devotion (khushu’). In contrast, contemporary scholars place greater emphasis on personal transformation, social ethics, and the importance of prayer in shaping the character of the modern Muslim.The conclusion is that these two perspectives can be integrated to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the values of farḍu prayer that remain relevant for all times. Farḍu prayer holds a central position in Islam as the second pillar of Islam after the declaration of faith (shahada) and consists of five daily prayers: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha.

This study discusses fiqh ibadah as an important branch of fiqh that regulates the procedures for performing worship in accordance with Islamic law. The main objective of this study is to clarify the basic concepts of law, principles, and scope of worship in Islam so that its implementation is in accordance with sharia provisions. The data sources consist of primary literature (the Qur'an and Hadith) by analyzing scientific works from Google Scholar from 2018 to 2025 sourced from Indonesian and English journals. This study systematically describes the meaning of fiqh ibadah, sharia, and the legal basis derived from the Qur'an, sunnah, ijma, and qiyas. It includes complete arguments such as istihsan, maslahah, and urf. The discussion also covers the principles of ibadah mahdhah, which emphasize the necessity of evidence in its implementation to prevent bid'ah practices. The scope of fiqh ibadah focuses on four main acts of worship, namely prayer, zakat, fasting, and hajj, which have specific provisions in sharia. In addition, it also discusses the essence and purpose of worship, which shows that worship is a form of submission and love of a servant to Allah SWT and the main purpose of human creation. Through an understanding of fiqh worship, Muslims are expected to be able to perform worship correctly, validly, and accepted by Allah SWT, as well as a means of achieving benefit and happiness in this world and the hereafter.

This study examines the influence of teaching the classical text Hadiyyah al-‘Arus on the mindset of female students (santri putri) regarding their readiness for marriage: A case study at Pondok Pesantren Putri An Nur 1 (Asrama Az-Zubaidah), Malang. The research departs from the recognition that pre-marital education in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) should extend beyond mere Islamic legal aspects and actively shape the students’ mindset as well as their mental, emotional, and spiritual preparedness to embrace marriage as an act of worship (ibadah) and a sacred trust (amanah). The study employed a qualitative approach with field research design. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and relevant literature review. The data were subsequently analyzed using descriptive-analytical methods to identify the relationship between the teaching of Hadiyyah al-‘Arus and the students’ marital readiness. The findings reveal that the systematic study of Hadiyyah al-‘Arus significantly shapes the students’ mindset. The santri no longer view marriage merely as a physical or social union but as a profound spiritual trust that demands religious, emotional, and moral preparedness. They emphasize the importance of selecting a spouse based primarily on religious commitment and good character (din and akhlaq), understanding the rights and obligations of husband and wife, and avoiding excessive or extravagant wedding celebrations (walimah). It can be concluded that Hadiyyah al-‘Arus serves as a highly effective medium for pre-marital education in the pesantren context, successfully fostering comprehensive understanding, positive attitudes, and awareness among female students toward building a tranquil, loving, and merciful family (sakinah mawaddah wa raḥmah). The study recommends the continued and systematic integration of classical turath texts into pesantren curricula as well as further research with broader and comparative scope.

Thaharah represents a core principle within Islamic teachings, encompasses both bodily cleanliness and spiritual sanctity, and functions as an essential requirement for the proper observance of acts of worship, including prayer, tawaf, and the recitation of the Qur’an. This concept extends beyond ritual practice, reflecting a manifestation of faith that encourages Muslims to maintain personal hygiene, environmental cleanliness, and spiritual closeness to Allah SWT. This study aims to explore and critically examine the concept of thaharah in a comprehensive manner, clarify its role within Islamic religious practices, and assess its relevance in fostering clean lifestyle behaviors and appropriate worship practices in accordance with Islamic legal principles in contemporary society. Conceptually, thaharah is divided into two main forms: purification from ritual impurity (hadas) through ablution (wudu), ritual bathing (ghusl), or dry purification (tayammum), and purification from physical impurities (najis) by cleansing the body, clothing, and surrounding environment. The normative foundation of thaharah is reinforced by textual evidence, including Surah Al-Ma’idah verse 6 and prophetic traditions that emphasize cleanliness as an integral part of faith. Thus, thaharah offers a holistic perspective on cleanliness that integrates both worldly and spiritual dimensions of Muslim life.

This study aims to describe the implementation of the principles of tawassuth, tawazun, and tasamuh in religious activities at Islamic boarding school Al-Manshuriyah Plered-Purwakarta, as well as to analyze the supporting factors, challenges, and their impact on shaping the moderate character of the the students. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah (Aswaja) values has been carried out effectively through various programs such as routine Islamic study sessions, Qur’an reading, congregational prayer, commemoration of Islamic holidays, and social-religious activities. The principle of tawassuth is reflected in the congregation’s moderate attitude in understanding religious texts, tawazun is demonstrated through the balance between worship activities and social engagement, while tasamuh is manifested through harmonious interactions and appreciation of differences. Supporting factors include visionary leadership and a conducive learning environment, whereas inhibiting factors involve the diverse backgrounds of community members and limited facilities. The implementation of Aswaja values has positively contributed to the development of moderate, tolerant, and religious character among the congregation. This study reinforces the importance of Islamic boarding school as a center for cultivating Wasathiyah-based Islamic character in society.

This study was conducted based on the idea that understanding the values of worship contained in the Qur'an plays an important role in shaping the faith, obedience, and religious behavior of Muslims. Worship education is not only related to the formal and ritual implementation of religious commands, but also significantly influences the formation of attitudes, personality, and character in daily life. Therefore, an in-depth study of the ideas and foundations of worship education in the Qur'an is necessary so that these values can be properly understood and applied, especially in the field of education. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature study approach, focusing on the analysis of Qur'anic verses related to worship. It is supported by various sources such as tafsir books, Islamic education literature, and relevant scientific references. The findings indicate that worship education in the Qur'an emphasizes strengthening faith in Allah, developing consistency in worship practices, and fostering noble character. Furthermore, worship education helps balance the relationship between humans and the Creator while also enhancing social interactions among individuals. The values of worship contribute to the development of spiritual awareness, discipline, moral responsibility, and positive social behavior. In conclusion, worship education based on the Qur'an serves as a fundamental foundation for shaping Muslims who are faithful, possess good character, and are able to practice Islamic values comprehensively in their daily lives.

This study investigates how character education is embedded into the school culture of an Indonesian Islamic junior high school (madrasah), focusing on four core values: religiosity, honesty, tolerance, and discipline. Using a qualitative naturalistic approach, the research was conducted at MTsN 3 Halmahera Utara through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving school leaders, teachers, and students. The findings reveal that character education at the madrasah is not a standalone program but is institutionalized through consistent routines, religious practices, and role modeling. Religiosity is fostered through structured worship, integration of Islamic values into lessons, and spiritual habits. Honesty is promoted via trust-based learning environments, teacher exemplarity, and reinforcement of moral norms. Tolerance is cultivated through inclusive social interactions and respect for religious and cultural differences, while discipline is internalized through habitual rule-following, punctuality, and self-regulation. These findings align with existing theories and regional character education frameworks, confirming that character is best formed through embedded cultural processes and consistent adult exemplarity. The study contributes to the understanding of how Islamic schools can function as moral communities and highlights the importance of alignment between school culture, family support, and wider social contexts in achieving sustainable moral development.

The Halal Management Sistem (HMS) has often been positioned as an administrative compliance tool that focuses on regulatory and certification requirements. This approach has the potential to simplify the meaning of halal by overlooking the inherent values, especially in the context of Muslim businesses. This study aims to interpret the understanding of the Halal Management Sistem not only as an administrative compliance mechanism, but also as an expression of worship and spiritual commitment in business practices. This study uses a qualitative approach through a literature review of scientific articles, books, and relevant publications discussing halal management, Islamic business ethics, and the perspectives of business actors. The results of the study show that the HMS is understood by business actors as a manifestation of religious obedience integrated into economic activities, where the application of halal principles is seen as part of devotion to God and a form of moral responsibility in running a business. In this understanding, administrative compliance is positioned as an implication of spiritual awareness, not as the main objective of the sistem's implementation. The research findings also indicate that the spiritual meaning of SMH encourages consistency in halal practices and strengthens long-term business orientation. Conceptually, this study has implications for the development of halal management studies by placing the spiritual dimension as the main foundation in the implementation of the Halal Management Sistem, particularly in supporting sustainable and ethical business practices.

The academic crisis among Physics students often arises due to the pressure of the credit semester sistem (SKS), grade demands, and heavy study loads. This condition drives students to focus solely on achieving academic results, while the essence of learning as worship is often overlooked. This study aims to explore how the values of Islamic education, particularly the orientation towards rewards, can help students cope with academic pressure. The methods used include literature review and a quantitative survey with an online questionnaire completed by 56 Physics and Physics Education students at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The analysis results show a significant correlation between the SKS pressure and changes in learning behavior (r = 0.807), while the orientation towards rewards acts as a spiritual balance. The findings suggest that Islamic education plays a crucial role in building academic resilience through values of sincerity (ikhlas), patience (sabar), trust in God (tawakal), and balance (tawazun). Thus, academic achievements can become a means of worship while contributing positively to society. This study highlights the importance of spiritual values in achieving balanced academic success.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the worship habituation curriculum in the formation of students' religious character at SMP IT Ma'Wattaibin Banjarejo. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving principals, teachers, and students. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing with source triangulation techniques and techniques to maintain the validity of the data. The results of the study show that the worship habituation curriculum is implemented in a structured and integrated manner in school culture through congregational prayer activities, daily prayers, recitals of the Qur'an, and habituation of Islamic manners. The implementation of the curriculum contributes significantly to the formation of students' religious character, especially in the aspects of discipline, responsibility, and awareness of worship. In addition, the habit of worship also has a positive impact on the formation of spiritual attitudes, social behavior, and harmonious relationships between students and the school environment. This study concludes that the worship habituation curriculum managed as a school-based curriculum has a strategic role in strengthening the religious character of students in integrated Islamic schools.

This study is motivated by the context of religiosity in later life, which is characterized by various forms of decline, both emotional and spiritual, that may hinder the religious practices of older adults. The study aims to examine the condition of religiosity in the elderly phase. The main focus of this research is to explore and analyze the definition of old age, the characteristics of religiosity in later life, to identify religious problems commonly experienced by the elderly, and to examine the well-being of religious life during old age. This study employs a qualitative research method using a library research approach. The findings indicate that various challenges encountered in old age, such as anxiety, fear of death, and other psychological pressures, can be addressed through religious practices. Acts of worship, prayer, and spiritual reflection are able to provide inner peace, enhance the meaning of life, foster social harmony, cultivate acceptance of life’s realities, and help older adults respond to challenges in accordance with contemporary developments.
