Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I TPI Jambi adalah lembaga pemerintah yang bertugas melayani masyarakat terkait masalah imigrasi, seperti pengajuan paspor, izin tinggal, dan pengawasan lalu lintas orang antar negara. Saat ini, pencatatan nomor surat keluar masih dicatat secara manual menggunakan buku agenda, yang sering menyebabkan duplikasi nomor surat, kesalahan pencatatan, dan keterlambatan dalam pengambilan data. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, dirancang sebuah sistem informasi yang bekerja melalui situs web yang mengelola penomoran surat keluar secara otomatis dan terstruktur. Sistem ini menggunakan metode pengembangan prototipe dan alat pemodelan UML (Unified Modeling Language). Hasil dari desain ini adalah sistem informasi yang mampu mengelola penomoran surat keluar secara otomatis, terintegrasi, dan disimpan dalam database yang mudah dan cepat untuk diakses. Fitur utama dari sistem ini mencakup pembuatan format penomoran otomatis sesuai dengan jenis dan klasifikasi surat, penyimpanan arsip digital surat, pencarian data berdasarkan berbagai kriteria, dan manajemen pengguna. Dengan implementasi sistem ini, diharapkan proses administrasi korespondensi di Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I TPI Jambi menjadi lebih cepat, efisien, dan akurat.

This study explores the aesthetic experience and user perception resulting from the use of minimalism in contemporary web design. As minimalism continues to shape modern digital aesthetics, understanding how users emotionally and cognitively engage with minimalist interfaces becomes increasingly relevant. The research aims to identify how visual simplicity, functional clarity, and negative space contribute to user satisfaction and usability. Employing a mixed-method approach, including user testing and surveys with a sample of 60 participants, this study evaluates responses to minimalist and non-minimalist website prototypes. The findings reveal that minimalist design enhances perceived elegance and ease of navigation, while also increasing the sense of trust and professionalism. However, the absence of visual cues can challenge some users in completing complex tasks. These insights highlight the importance of balancing visual simplicity with user guidance to optimize user experience. This research contributes to the evolving discourse on digital aesthetics and provides practical implications for designers seeking to integrate minimalist principles without compromising functionality.

This research applies the Lean UX approach in redesigning the Mitra Mapan Mulia website with the purpose of enhancing user experience. The Lean UX method is used as a responsive and efficient approach to designing solutions that are more user-focused. Data was collect using interview, literature study and observation methods. The research subjects were state-owned companies and MSMEs. The results showed that there was an improvement in user experience, with performance parameters including navigation time, information clarity, and engagement level. Evaluation results from users involved in prototype testing showed a positive response to design changes, and the use of Lean UX methods provided advantages in accelerating the design process and increasing user satisfaction. This research contributes to the practical understanding and effectiveness of Lean UX in the context of website redesign to achieve the goal of improving user experience

This study aims to design and build a hydraulic system capable of operating hatch opening and closing automatically and manually, with the application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology to monitor and control the system remotely. This system is designed to improve efficiency and ease of hatch operation on ships or other industrial applications, as well as prevent fires in cargo due to several factors such as unintentional negligence of the ship's crew and also weather factors with increasing temperatures. Where the automatic system uses a rain sensor to optimize time and energy, while manual control remains available as a backup option. This design involves the integration of hydraulic actuators, rain drop sensors, microcontrollers, and IoT communication modules that allow users to control and monitor the position of the hatch through a web-based application or mobile device. In compiling this scientific paper, researchers use experimental methods. This study shows the results that testing will be carried out directly by researchers, by testing the performance of the prototype of the automatic and manual hatch opening and closing hydraulic system design tool based on IoT by testing the effectiveness of the control system and sensor performance. In conclusion, this system successfully combines hydraulic and IoT technology to create an efficient, safe, and easy-to-use solution in practical applications.

Technological advancements and digital transformation have significantly impacted business management, including the consulting sector. PQM Consultants faces challenges in managing inquiries, which are still manually handled using Microsoft Excel. This manual process results in fragmented data, delays in accessing information, input errors, and difficulties in real-time monitoring of inquiry statuses. These issues affect operational efficiency, data transparency, and timely decision-making.   This research focuses on developing a web-based inquiry management platform through the Design Thinking methodology, aiming to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of inquiry handling at PQM Consultants. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, the study gathers insights through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document reviews involving consultants and support team members who are directly engaged in the inquiry process. Research participants consist of consultants and support team members directly involved in inquiry management. The study uses a Design Thinking approach, which focuses on solving problems through repeated refinement and actively involving users throughout the development process. This framework supports the development of creative solutions by deeply understanding user needs, defining key challenges, and continuously refining ideas through prototyping and testing (Costich 2021). The Empathize stage focuses on understanding user needs and challenges. The Define stage formulates the core problems specifically. The Ideate stage generates creative ideas as potential solutions. The Prototype stage develops an initial design of the platform, which is then tested during the Test stage to gather feedback for further refinement. The results indicate that the web-based inquiry management platform effectively addresses various challenges in managing inquiry data, such as access delays, input errors, and data fragmentation. The platform enables consultants to monitor inquiry statuses in real-time, access data transparently, and make faster and more accurate decisions.

Peran tim IT perusahaan Akang Group tidak hanya sekedar memastikan infrastruktur teknologi berjalan dengan baik, tetapi juga harus siap menangani berbagai permasalahan teknis yang dihadapi pengguna secara cepat. Kendala komputer, jaringan, perangkat pendukung (printer, scanner) dan sistem pendukung operasional sering mengalami kendala. Seperti perangkat komputer atau jaringan yang bermasalah atau penambahan menu dan promo di toko atau restoran terhambat akibat miskomunikasi antar divisi. Saat ini, keluhan dan permintaan masih disampaikan secara manual melalui aplikasi pesan singkat atau secara verbal, yang tidak terstruktur dan berpotensi menyebabkan miskomunikasi. Untuk mempercepat penanganan keluhan dan permintaan serta menjaga kelancaran operasional, diperlukan sistem helpdesk yang dapat digunakan oleh seluruh divisi, bukan hanya tim IT. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan prototype, karena memungkinkan proses yang lebih cepat dan umpan balik segera dari pengguna untuk perbaikan sebelum sistem final dirilis. Menggunakan sistem helpdesk ini, keluhan dan permintaan akan ditangani lebih cepat, dan progres pengerjaannya dapat dipantau oleh pengguna maupun manajemen.

The rapid development of information technology and telecommunications has driven companies and MSMEs to adopt desktop, mobile, and web-based applications to enhance operational performance. PT HPS Painan Padang, previously relying on manual ticket bookings, faced challenges in efficiency and susceptibility to brokering practices. To address this, a web-based travel ticket booking application was developed, enabling customers to book tickets online more practically, quickly, and conveniently, anytime and anywhere. The integration of Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology in the form of a chatbot further enhances service efficiency and responsiveness. This feature provides real-time information on departure schedules, seat selection, and payment transactions while also supporting sentiment analysis and swift responses to customer feedback, ultimately improving service quality. The application, built using PHP, MySQL, and CodeIgniter with a Prototype development approach, adapts to changing market demands. Testing via GTmetrix on the https://desistravel.xyz/backend page demonstrated excellent performance with an 88% Performance score, 95% Structure score, and optimal Web Vitals metrics, indicating a fast, responsive, and stable platform. The final product is a user-friendly web-based ticket booking application supported by an intelligent chatbot, offering a seamless user experience, enhancing customer satisfaction, and streamlining the travel booking process efficiently.

Managing incoming and outgoing letter archives is an important aspect in supporting administrative performance at the Regional Secretary's People's Welfare Bureau. This research aims to design a web-based administration system that can increase effectiveness and efficiency in managing mail archives. The methods used in this research include requirements analysis, system design, and prototype testing. The results of the analysis show that the mail management process is currently still carried out manually, which results in difficulties in searching and archiving data. By designing a web-based system, it is hoped that it will make it easier for users to input, search and manage mail archives in real-time. The resulting system prototype is equipped with features such as mail data management, reports and notifications, which are designed to increase data accessibility and security. Test results show that this system can function well and meet user needs. It is hoped that this research can make a positive contribution to the Regional Secretary's People's Welfare Bureau in improving administrative performance through better archive management.

Gigs Wear adalah sebuah startup konveksi yang bertujuan menyediakan layanan pembuatan lanyard, ID card, dan kaos custom berkualitas tinggi dengan harga terjangkau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode design thinking untuk merancang antarmuka pengguna (UI) website Gigswear.co. Dengan fokus pada kebutuhan pengguna, lima tahapan design thinking diterapkan, yakni empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan testing. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan System Usability Scale (SUS), yang menunjukkan hasil sangat baik dengan tingkat keberhasilan rata-rata 100%. Temuan ini membuktikan efektivitas pendekatan design thinking dalam meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna, yang pada akhirnya mendukung keberlanjutan usaha Gigs Wear.

The development of photography technology and the need for digital marketing have encouraged photographers to utilize online media as a promotional tool. This research aims to plan the development of a Content Management System (CMS)-based portfolio website for photography businesses using the User-Centered Design (UCD) approach. The UCD approach ensures that the website design meets the needs of users through iterative stages, including needs analysis, prototype design, and evaluation. The results show that the designed website is able to fulfill the main user needs, such as easy-to-update photo galleries, informative service pages, and responsive contact forms. WordPress CMS was chosen due to its ease of use and design flexibility. With the implementation of UCD, the user satisfaction score increased from 70% to 90%. However, improved security features are recommended to prevent unauthorized access to the photo gallery. This research contributes to the development of efficient digital media to improve the competitiveness of photography businesses in the digital era.

This study aims to design the VoksEat website as a food delivery service platform targeted at students of the IPB Vocational School. The methodology employed is the prototype method, allowing iterative design based on user needs. The research process began with identifying requirements through interviews and observations, followed by creating an initial prototype using design tools such as Figma and testing the prototype to gather user feedback. Object-oriented modeling with the Unified Modeling Language (UML) approach was utilized to ensure a well-organized system structure, including diagrams such as use case, activity, and class diagrams. The results indicate that the prototype method is effective in producing a functional website design that aligns with user needs. The VoksEat website features ordering guides, restaurant recommendations, and an integrated order form that provides users with easy access. This study contributes to developing a locally-based digital solution to meet student needs and enriches the literature on applying the prototype method in web-based information system development.

Scheduling content on social media effectively and efficiently has become an important need for users, especially users who use social media as a tool to help run their business or organization. This research aims to design a user interface for a website-based social media scheduling application using the Rapid Application Development method and Unified Modeling Language (UML). This method was chosen because development can be done quickly through literacy that involves users so that it can fulfill everything needed to create an optimal system. The research stage begins with user interviews, and later this data will be used to develop an initial UI design prototype designed using Figma. UML is used to visualize the design model and also how the system will run later. This system is expected to help make posting social media content easier.

In the current era of information technology, easy and efficient transaction management is an important requirement in the business world, both small and large scale. Rumah Makan Mie Happy is a medium-scale culinary business. Happy Noodle Restaurant provides noodle-based preparations. In its daily life, Happy Noodle Restaurant can serve around 100 consumers, so that the service process requires speed to serve consumers. But in fact, Mie Happy Restaurant still uses manual data processing and transaction management, so it often experiences problems such as slow payment processes, frequent loss of receipts or proof of payment, difficulty in recapitulating or reporting transactions both daily and monthly, and frequent errors in the calculation process. From the problems experienced by Mie Happy Restaurant, the author is interested in developing a web-based cashier application that can help in all matters related to transaction management at Mie Happy Restaurant. The research conducted aims to build or develop a cashier application for Happy Noodle Restaurant that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of transaction management. This cashier application was built or developed using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) with Visual Studio Code editor and MySQL Database Management System (DBMS). The results of testing with black box testing show that the cashier application developed in functionality has run as expected. This web-based cashier application provides convenience for admins and increases the effectiveness and efficiency of operational activities.

In  recent  years,  air  quality  has  become  an  increasingly  important  issue  in  various  cities  around  the  world.  Real-time  air  quality  monitoring  is  essential  for  identifying  pollution  problems  and  taking  appropriate  actions.  This  article  discusses  the  design  of  an  Internet  of  Things  (IoT)-based  air  quality  monitoring  system  using  the  prototype  method.  The  system  is  designed  to  monitor  air  quality  parameters  such  as  PM2.5,  PM10,  CO2,  and  temperature  in  real-time  and  present  the  data  to  users  through  a  web-based  application.

The University of Jambi (UNJA) currently manages the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) manually using Microsoft Excel, which causes various problems such as the length of the UKT determination process, data duplication, and difficulty in accessing the UKT determination history by the leadership.This research aims to develop UKT management features on the UNJA registration system to increase the effectiveness and automation of the UKT management process. System development is carried out using the Star Life Cycle Model method by implementing the features of the student UKT program proposal and uploading the required files. The research produced a prototype of a web-based registration system with a UKT Management feature that allows the process of determining and submitting a reduction / exemption of UKT to be carried out systematically. The implementation of this system is expected to overcome problems in managing UKT at UNJA such as duplication of UKT reduction which is detrimental to the institution in terms of finance.

The rapid development of information and communication technology has encouraged companies to switch to digital platforms in managing their sales. One of the most widely used solutions is a web-based sales application, which allows buying and selling transactions to be carried out online, improving operational efficiency, and expanding market reach. In this study, a web-based sales application was designed using a prototype methodology. This methodology was chosen because of its ability to actively involve users in the development process, through an iterative cycle that allows for direct feedback from users to improve and improve the system gradually. The first step in this design is to collect needs from users or stakeholders through interviews and observations. Based on these needs, an initial prototype of the application was built that included key features such as product management, shopping cart, and payment processing. The prototype is then evaluated by the user, and the feedback is used to refine and refine the prototype until the final application is ready for further development. The resulting app has a full range of features that include product management, a secure checkout system, payment method integration, and real-time sales reporting. The prototype methodology allows developers to detect and resolve potential issues from the early stages of development, thereby minimizing the risk of errors in complex feature implementations. Additionally, the active participation of users in the development process ensures that the resulting application is more in line with the needs and expectations of users. The results of this study show that a prototype-based approach can improve the effectiveness and quality of web-based sales applications, as well as maximize user satisfaction. This application is expected to help companies manage sales transactions more efficiently and expand business reach through digital platforms.

Digitalization is the main pillar of change in various aspects of life, including education and social interaction. Balai Diklat Keagamaan Palembang has adopted digital transformation through the development of eL TV, a digital learning platform. This research aims to analyze the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) on the eL TV website of the Palembang Religious Education and Training Center from an anthropological perspective using the Design Thinking method. This approach integrates aspects of culture, habits, and user behavior to create socially and contextually relevant designs. The research stages include Empathize through observations and interviews to understand user needs, Define to identify key problems, Ideate to generate creative solutions, Prototype to build an initial design that is responsive to local values, and Test to measure the effectiveness of the new design. This research concludes that an anthropological approach to UI/UX design through the Design Thinking method can increase user relevance and satisfaction with the eL TV website, while encouraging the use of technology that is more inclusive and oriented to the needs of local communities.
