The development of tourist villages is one of the strategic efforts to maximize local potential while improving community welfare. Tourist villages not only focus on the exploration of natural and cultural resources but also involve local communities as the main subjects in management. Tanjungsari Village, Sadananya District, Ciamis Regency, has natural tourism potential that can be developed into a tourist village, one of which is Curug Panganten which is a water tourism. However, it has not run optimally, several problems have hampered its development, such as the lack of competent tourist village managers and the absence of village regulations (Perdes) as a legal basis for tourism management. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The data obtained were analyzed to understand the characteristics and obstacles faced in the development of tourist villages. The results of the study show that the potential for Curug Panganten tourism in Tanjungsari Village has not been managed optimally due to the lack of human resources trained in tourism management and the absence of regulations that systematically regulate tourism management and development. In addition, community involvement and support from the local government still need to be improved to create a sustainable tourist village. The hope for the future is that the formation of Perdes can be the first step in realizing a more structured tourism management, followed by training for tourism managers to increase capacity and professionalism. With clear regulations and good management, Tanjungsari Village is expected to develop into a competitive tourist destination and provide economic and social benefits for the local community.

Waste is leftover material that is considered to have no economic value, but its existence cannot be avoided in people's social life. In Karanglangon Hamlet, the increase in population that occurs every year increases the volume of waste produced. As the population increases, household waste production and other activities also increase, thereby exacerbating waste management problems in the region. If not managed properly, the increasing amount of waste can have various negative impacts, both on public health and the surrounding environment, such as air, land and water pollution. This problem demands more attention from various parties to find appropriate and sustainable solutions. This research aims to identify in more depth the problems related to waste management at the Dusun Karanglangon TPS using the PAR (Participatory Action Research) approach method. The research results revealed that the condition of the waste at the TPS had a significant negative impact on the surrounding environment. The main causes are limited facilities, minimal budgets, and inadequate waste management standards, resulting in the accumulation of waste and increasingly severe environmental pollution.

Indonesia is a country with diverse cultures, and these cultures need to be preserved, one way being through Law No. 11 of 2010 on Cultural Heritage. The traditional village of Cikondang in West Java has been designated as cultural heritage, which has a significant impact on the preservation of its customary forest. This study aims to analyze the impact of this designation on the conservation of the Customary Forest. Using a qualitative method, the research was conducted through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The results show that the designation as cultural heritage strengthens the protection, management, and preservation of the customary forest, which serves as a water reservoir, a habitat for flora and fauna, as well as a center for education and research. Strict customary regulations, such as restrictions on entering the forest on certain days and the use of resources only for customary purposes, help maintain the sustainability of the ecosystem. The designation as cultural heritage also boosts tourism and the economic well-being of the local community. Thus, the preservation of the customary forest in the traditional village of Cikondang is not only rooted in local wisdom but also reinforced by national legal policies, which overall support the sustainability of the ecosystem and the welfare of the local community.   ,
